[0002] Description

[0003] Field of Invention

[0004] The present invention relates to an innovative system for assembling a portable workbench which rests on the surface of a conventional multipurpose ladder, deployed horizontally as a table, specifically with a work surface formed by two separate symmetrical pieces of wood, quick and easy to assemble of a certain length whose section is rectangular, which allows working as a workbench, use of different bench tools on its surface and additionally can be used for fixing and assembling pieces on its surface or the required requirements according to the tool to be used, fixing them by means of clamps placed through perforations made on its surface or on its edges, with a firm and reliable support provided by the use of an deployed conventional multipurpose ladder.

[0005] Background of the Invention

[0006] The following discussion of the prior art is intended to present the invention in an appropriate technical context and to enable its advantages to be properly appreciated. However, unless clearly indicated otherwise, reference to any prior art in this specification should not be construed as an express or implied admission that such art is widely known or forms part of common general knowledge in the bench or work surface field.

[0007] In general, work surfaces have been used as workbenches, where most are designed for specific purposes such as cutting, mitering, or drilling tables with a very narrow work surface, or as structures in the form of metal ladders with platforms to step on, oriented to the field of construction and masonry work, or as a support surface to be stepped on by a worker.

[0008] In the state of the art, one should consult Japanese patent document No. JP5436236B2 related to a workbench formed based on a metal ladder-shaped structure, metal work surface, not very portable and could not be stored inside a home, oriented to the industrial sector, or construction work on a construction site.

[0009] Likewise, Japanese patent document No. JP2008266978A should be consulted, very similar to the previous patent, a portable workbench based on a metal structure in the form of a ladder, non-portable, oriented towards the field of masonry and construction, without being able to use it in a home.

[0010] Therefore, a system is needed to overcome the aforementioned problems.

[0011] Summary of the Invention

[0012] It is an object of the invention to provide a work surface, a device that is related to plates for assembling a workbench, which makes use of a conventional multipurpose ladder as a support to simplify the assembly and disassembly of the work surface and allow the assembly of a workbench.

[0013] This solves the problem of not having a suitable workbench. These are generally small, unstable, and have limited work surface area, or are only for industrial use, not for a home workshop or small business.

[0014] This and other objectives, which will be evident below, are achieved by means of the work surface, highly versatile, modular, portable, easy to assemble, disassemble and store, takes up little space, which additionally makes use of a multipurpose folding ladder common in all homes, providing a very good working height, large work surface, stable, as defined in claim 1.
