Description

[0001] Tool for mounting the housing of a recessed light

[0002] AREA OF TECHNOLOGY

[0003] The invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular to devices for mounting built-in lighting fixtures in suspended ceilings.

[0004] LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY

[0005] The problem solved by the invention is that traditionally built-in luminaires for frameless installation in a stretch ceiling are mounted using adhesive joints. The disadvantage of this method of fastening is the dirty work with glue - there is a risk of dirtying the canvas, which will lead to the need for its complete replacement. Another known option is using a fixing element for the canvas, which is inserted manually into the embedded base, without applying significant force, which means there is a risk that the canvas will slip out during further use. This could be avoided by increasing the effort to install the element fixing the canvas into the embedded base, but in this case, the flexible suspensions bend under the action of force and the housing for the built-in luminaire is installed unevenly, returning it to its original position when the canvas is tucked into the housing is problematic, the claimed invention offers a solution to both of these problems.

[0006] To understand the problem, we will provide analogs of such lamps and their housings, in which the problem has not been eliminated.

[0007] A known light fitting for a suspended ceiling (patent RET 218671 U1, published on 06 / 05 / 2023 in Bulletin No. 16, patent holder Roman Sergeevich Gribov (RU)) includes a ring-shaped housing, the outer wall of which is made higher than the inner wall, the upper edge of the outer wall of the housing is connected to the inner edge of the inner wall by a convex transition, fasteners for mounting with the possibility of fixing external fastener elements are made on the outer wall of the ring, in the lower part of the housing in the internal space inside the inner wall of the ring-shaped housing a jumper is mounted, in the central part of which a socket is made with the possibility of installing a cartridge, around which fastening holes are made.

[0008] Also known is the housing of a luminaire built into a suspended ceiling (patent RU 218409 U1, published on 05 / 25 / 2023 in the bulletin.No. 15, patent holder Evgeniya Alekseevna Astafieva (RU)), made hollow, the upper end of the housing is made plugged with an opening in the center of the plugged end for mounting a socket with a lamp through it, at the edge of the plugged end on the side wall of the housing, diametrically located protrusions are mounted with the possibility of attaching the housing of the lamp to the rough ceiling by means of brackets, while along the edge of the open end of the housing on the inside of the side walls along the perimeter, annular recesses are made with the possibility of interaction through the fabric of the suspended ceiling with annular protrusions made along the perimeter of the retaining ring, the external shape and external dimensions of which correspond to the shape and dimensions of the internal surface of the housing of the lamp for placing the said retaining ring inside the housing of the lamp through the fabric of the suspended ceiling by combining the annular recesses and protrusions. The placement of the element fixing the web in the embedded base in accordance with known technical solutions, due to the need to apply force to insert it into the embedded base, leads to the risk of deformation of the flexible suspensions and displacement of the lamp in the plane; returning them to their original position is problematic due to the fact that the installation of the lamp in the housing is carried out when the web is already stretched.

[0009] A device for mounting auxiliary equipment in a suspended ceiling is known (patent RU 195863 U1, published 02 / 07 / 2020 in Bulletin No. 4, patent holder Andrey Vladimirovich Kokh (RU)) comprising an element made in the form of an embedded base and a fixing element for the web with the ability to clamp the suspended ceiling web, where the inner surface of the embedded base is provided with an adhesive layer.

[0010] The disadvantage of this solution is the need to use an adhesive joint to hold the canvas in the embedded support; with this method of installation, it is difficult to place the canvas without getting it dirty and to press the element fixing the canvas into the embedded support without the risk of deformation of the flexible suspensions and displacement of the lamp in the plane.

[0011] The following sources can be considered as analogs of the present invention.

[0012] A mounting device for installing a luminaire housing (patent EP3 101336A1 published on 07.12.2016, application EP15170366A dated 03.06.2015, patent holder AXIS AB (SE)), which contains a socket and a fastening element made with the possibility of adjustment. The socket has a plate part and a body part, the dimensions of which allow it to be inserted into the hole, as well as a thrust flange.

[0013] The known device discloses the possibility of shifting the housing in the vertical plane, however, structurally and by purpose, it cannot be a prototype of the claimed invention. The disadvantage of the known mounting device is that it cannot be used in stretch ceilings since this technology does not provide for means against which the thrust flange could rest. The installation of the lamp housing in the stretch ceiling is carried out on weight and the only place where the forces are transmitted when clamping the canvas are flexible suspensions. In addition, this solution is intended for a specific type of lamps or LED lamps, the height of which is small. This solution is not removable, and the fastening element made with the possibility of adjustment will interfere with the placement of the cartridge in the housing.

[0014] The problem of bending flexible suspensions during installation of the lamp housing under the action of force could be solved by using a known device for mounting suspended lighting fixtures on a suspended ceiling (patent RU 219251 U1, published on 06.07.2023 in Bulletin No. 19, patent holder Evgeny Vasilyevich Zabolotin (RU) - prototype) during installation, which includes a bracket for fastening to the main ceiling and a mounting platform, which is equipped with a connecting element made in the form of a rod with an external thread applied and is connected by a threaded connection to the bracket.

[0015] However, such a solution is not removable, and the rod can interfere with the placement of the cartridge on the mounting platform; in addition, the known device for mounting suspended lighting fixtures on a stretch ceiling is also placed on the main ceiling using flexible hangers, that is, it has the same drawback as the above analogs.

[0016] DISCLOSURE OF THE ESSENCE OF THE INVENTION

[0017] The objective of the invention is to create a new tool for mounting a housing for a built-in light fitting that eliminates the shortcomings of the prior art.

[0018] The technical result of the invention is the elimination of known installation problems from the prior art and the simplification of the process of installing a housing for a built-in light fitting.

[0019] In order to achieve a technical result, a tool for mounting a built-in light fitting housing is proposed, made in the form of two plates on a rod, where, in order to achieve a technical result, the first support plate, for inserting the tool into the embedded part, is installed relative to the rod motionless, the second mounting plate is made with the provision of movement along the rod, the rod is equipped with a limiter, capable of pressing the mounting plate towards the support plate.

[0020] Preferably, when the support plate has a shape close to rectangular with rounded ends, has a length comparable to the diameter of the inner part of the embedded base of the housing for the built-in lamp and a width comparable to the passage sector of its support means, the mounting plate has a shape congruent to the shape of the fixing element of the housing web for the built-in lamp. The rod can be made in the form of a threaded stud, and the limiter in the form of a wing screw.

[0021] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS Fig. 1 shows a complete set of structural elements of the lamp and a tool for installation.

[0022] Fig. 2 shows a tool for mounting a housing for a built-in light fixture.

[0023] Fig. 3 shows a housing for a built-in light fitting in a suspended ceiling structure in longitudinal section.

[0024] Fig. 4 shows a lamp in a suspended ceiling structure in longitudinal section.

[0025] IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INVENTION

[0026] The invention of Figs. 1-4 is intended for technical solutions such as a method for mounting a housing 1 for a built-in luminaire, which are based on the principle of clamping the stretch ceiling web between the embedded base 2 and the web fixing element 3 (similar to pressing in - pressing under force) and allow mounting the housing 1 for a built-in luminaire in a stretch ceiling on flexible hangers 4 without using adhesives and complex design solutions. Housings 1 for built-in luminaires in accordance with such methods can consist of two elements, namely the embedded base 2 and the web fixing element 3, which is placed in the inner part 5 of the embedded base 2. It is preferable when the inner part 5 of the embedded base 2 and the outer part 6 of the web fixing element 3 have a ring-shaped form, the most optimal for the widespread shape of the luminaire. For positioning the element 3 fixing the web in the embedded base 2, it is provided with a support means 7 to a depth of not less than the height of the element 3 fixing the web, thus its placement in its inner part 5 is carried out by pressing until it stops, and the housing 1 for the built-in light with the light source placed in it creates the effect of the absence of such a housing on the plane of the stretch ceiling, as shown in Fig. 4 (this type of light is called frameless).

[0027] Since the housing 1 for a built-in luminaire is based on the principle of clamping the web 8 between the embedded base 2 and the web fixing element 3, and for its installation it is necessary to apply forces capable of deforming the flexible suspensions 4 and displacing it in the plane, a tool 9 is proposed for installing such a housing made in the form of two plates 10 and 11 on a rod 12, of which the first support plate 10 is intended for inserting the tool 9 for installation into the embedded base 2, is used as a support for the movement of the mounting plate 11 and is installed relative to the rod 12 motionlessly preventing rotation behind the support means 7 of the housing for the built-in luminaire and ensuring the positioning of the tool 9 for installation in the inner part 5 of the embedded support 2. The second plate 11 - the mounting one is made with the provision of movement along the rod 12 in order to press the web fixing element 3 of the housing 1 for the built-in lamp upwards to the support plate 10.In order to regulate the movement of the mounting plate 11 along the rod 12, the latter is equipped with a limiter 13, which presses the mounting plate 11 towards the support plate 10.

[0028] When the inner part 5 of the embedded base 2 and the outer part 6 of the web-fixing element 3 have a ring-shaped form, and the support means 7 is made in the form of a stop thread with at least one through sector 14, then the support plate 10 also has a shape close to rectangular with rounded ends (as shown in Figs. 1 and 2) and has a length comparable to the diameter of the inner part 5 of the embedded base 2 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fixture, and a width comparable to the through sector 14 of its support means 7, which will allow the support plate 10 of the mounting tool 9 to be inserted along the stop thread, fixedly fixed relative to the support means 7 and stabilizing the rod 12 relative to the axis of the housing 1 for the built-in light fixture in its cross-section (as shown in Figs. 3 and 4), simplifying the process of placing the web-fixing element 3 in the embedded base 2.The mounting plate 11 has a shape congruent with the shape of the element 3 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting that fixes the web to ensure uniform pressure over its entire surface. The rod 12 can be made in the form of a threaded stud, and the limiter 13 in the form of a wing screw, which will make it easier to move the mounting plate 11 toward the support plate 10 by turning the limiter 13 with two fingers of one hand and preventing the mounting plate 11 from falling out when installing the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting.

[0029] The installation of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting using the installation tool 5 is implemented in accordance with the installation method of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting as follows. The embedded base 2 is fixed to the main ceiling, for example, by aligning the holes of the flexible hangers 4 with the fastening elements 15 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting to the main ceiling. Then the general height level is set and the web 8 is installed along the entire perimeter of the room, the location of the embedded base 2 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting is determined (for example, by probing) and a hole is made in the web 8 using a cutting tool (for example, a knife). In the case of PVC, a small hole is made in the center of the embedded base 2, in the case of fabric, a hole is made and cut in rays from the center at intervals of 5-8 mm to the beginning of the edge of the embedded base 2, leaving about 5 mm without a cut.Next, the fixing element 3 of the body 1 for the built-in light fitting is placed on the mounting plate 11 of the mounting tool 9, the support plate 10 of the mounting tool 9 is inserted through the obtained opening behind the support means 7, with which the embedded base 2 of the body 1 for the built-in light fitting is provided, for example, by inserting its rounded ends into its through sector 14 of the stop thread, turning it until it stops and ensuring reliable positioning of the rod 12 of the mounting tool 9 along the axis of the cross-section of the body 1 of the built-in light fitting. Then, the element 3 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting that fixes the web is brought to the web 8 and, using the limiter 13 of the tool 9 for mounting along its rod 12, for example, by tightening the wing screw along the thread of the stud, the mounting plate 11 of the tool 9 for mounting is pressed against the element 3 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting that fixes the web.Since the mounting plate 11 has a shape congruent with the shape of the element 3 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting, uniform pressure is ensured over its entire surface. The pressure is applied towards the support plate 11 of the mounting tool 9 in such a way that the web 8 enters the gap between the element 3 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting, the element 3 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting, and its embedded base 2, the element 3 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting, the element 7 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting, is inserted into the embedded base 2 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting until it rests against the support means 7, with which the embedded base 2 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting is provided, ensuring that the element 3 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting, the anchoring base 2 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting, is positioned in depth without a protrusion at the same level as the embedded base 2 of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting and forming a gap between them, the size of which ensures that the web 8 is held under tension. In this way, the web 8 is fixed in the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting and this completes the installation. Since the stresses of the web 8 material at the place of installation of the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting are small, the web 8 is securely fixed in the resulting gap. Then the installation tool 9 is removed from the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting. By moving the limiter 13 of the installation tool 9 back along its rod 12, the mounting plate 11 of the installation tool 9 is released, the support plate 10 is turned back along the thread of the support means 7, lifted upwards and through the pass-through sector 14 is brought down from the support means 7, thus removing the installation tool 9 from the housing 1 for the built-in light fitting.

[0030] In accordance with this method, the efforts, when clamping the web 8 of the stretch ceiling between the embedded base 2 and the web fixing element 3, are transferred from the flexible hangers 4 to the tool 9 for installation and allows solving a currently relevant problem when installers are faced with a choice between using adhesive compositions with the risk of dirtying the web and deformation of the flexible hangers when pressing the web fixing element 3 into the embedded base 2. The above example of using the invention by using the tool 9 allows simplifying the installation of the housing 1 for the built-in lamp, as a result of which the technical result is achieved.
