Description

[0001] A WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM USED IN BATH AND SHOWER AREAS

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The invention relates to a drainage arrangement for draining water accumulated in bath and shower areas.

[0004] In particular, the invention relates to a water drain arrangement for conveying to the sewerage system the water accumulated in systems such as ceramic shower tiles, ceramic mosaics, shower trays and bathtubs used in bathrooms and shower areas.

[0005] State of the Art

[0006] Nowadays, there are some drain structures on the floor for the discharge of water used in bathrooms and shower areas. The purpose of these drain structures is to ensure that the water flowing to the floor is taken from a single point and discharged into the waste water pipe of the building. According to the type of floor and shower area used, drain structures have different sizes, shapes and designs.

[0007] In the current technique, in the drainage systems used to drain the domestic water accumulated in the bathroom and shower area, the drain pipes and siphon that will ensure the transmission of the domestic water to the sewerage are placed by taking the axis measurement of the drain outlet according to the material to be used before the screed is laid on the floor. During the placement of the siphon in the screed, the siphon cannot be placed properly due to either measurement error or other reasons and causes the siphon-drain junction not to be fully realized. Some disadvantages arising from this situation can be listed as follows:

[0008] • The siphon is placed in the wrong position, which causes the drain to not fit properly.

[0009] • In some cases, the poured concrete is broken and the siphon system is laid again, resulting in loss of labour and time.

[0010] • The mentioned problem is solved by using additional parts or by making changes in the pipes leading to the siphon and causes water leaks in the long term. The technical problems mentioned above are especially problematic for people who carry out the placement of materials used in shower areas such as shower tiles, shower trays, ceramic mosaics, bathtubs.

[0011] As a result of the research on the subject, a document with publication EP4215679A1 was found. The relevant document is related to a water drainage element used in bathrooms. However, it does not contain a structure that can eliminate horizontal and vertical axis size errors.

[0012] Another document encountered as a result of research in the literature is document CN208909978U. The document is related to a drain apparatus used for water drainage in bathrooms. The existing technique is structured to prevent blockages during draining, but it does not have a structure that can eliminate the axis dimension errors in horizontal and vertical during the placement of the siphon in the screed.

[0013] As a result, due to the above-mentioned negativities and the inadequacy of the existing solutions on the subject, it has become necessary to make an improvement in the relevant technical field.

[0014] Aim of Invention

[0015] The invention is inspired by the existing conditions and aims to solve the above- mentioned problems.

[0016] The main aim of the invention is to provide a water drainage structure that provides the discharge of water used in bathroom and shower areas such as shower tiles, shower trays, ceramic mosaics, bathtubs.

[0017] Another aim of the invention is to eliminate the errors experienced when taking axle measurements by means of an axle which can move on the horizontal axis.

[0018] Another aim of the invention is to eliminate the errors experienced when taking axle measurements by means of the screw threaded structure, the height of which can be adjusted.

[0019] Another aim of the invention is to cover both the errors in the horizontal axis during the placement of the siphon in the screed and the height errors in the vertical axis thanks to the screw steps on it. In this way, the placement of the water drain configuration is easily realized. In order to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes, the invention provides for the transmission of the domestic water accumulated in systems such as ceramic shower tiles, ceramic mosaics, shower trays, bathtubs used in bathroom and shower areas to the sewerage system and comprising the following,

[0020] ■ A siphon for transferring domestic water to the sewerage system,

[0021] ■ An insulating skirt flange that is connected to the siphon and prevents possible water leaks,

[0022] ■ A cover that prevents large waste from going into the siphon and clogging the siphon,

[0023] ■ A strainer for retaining waste of a size that can pass through the cover,

[0024] ■ A water tank which collect the domestic water and conveys this accumulated wastewater to the siphon at a certain speed, and

[0025] ■ A connecting pipe which is a connection point for the strainer, which conveys the water accumulated in the water tank to the siphon, characterized by comprising; A throat element having the following, o A gasket to prevent the connection pipe from leaking water, o A threaded connection element that provides the connection between the connection pipe and the siphon, o A flange fitting that is connected to the flange with the insulation skirt flange and helps the threaded fitting to move in the horizontal and vertical axis, thus eliminating the axis dimension error where the siphon is placed and ensuring that the siphon is level in the horizontal plane; and o A compression element that allows the threaded connection element to be fixed to the flange connection element.

[0026] The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be more clearly understood by means of the figures given below and the detailed description written by making references to these figures, and therefore, the evaluation should be made by considering these figures and detailed description.

[0046] Detailed Description of the Invention

[0047] In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the inventive water drain arrangement are described only for the purpose of a better understanding of the subject matter.

[0048] The inventive water drain arrangement basically comprises a cover (10), a strainer (20), a connection pipe (30), a water tank (40), a throat element (50), an insulating skirt flange (60) and a siphon (70).

[0049] The siphon (70) in the water drain structure of the invention, which enables the transfer of the domestic water accumulated in systems such as ceramic shower tiles, ceramic mosaics, shower trays and bathtubs used in bathrooms and shower areas to the sewerage system, ensures the transfer of the domestic water to the sewerage system. Connected to the siphon (70) and preventing possible water leaks is provided by an insulation skirt flange (60). In addition, the cover (10) prevents large waste from entering the siphon (70) and blocking the siphon (70). The cover (10) mentioned herein is a square metal or oval metal structure. In addition, the inventive water drain arrangement comprises the strainer (20) for retaining wastes of a size that can pass through the cover (10), the water tank (40) which accumulates the domestic water and transmits this accumulated wastewater to the siphon (70) at a certain speed, and the connection pipe (30) which is the connection point of the strainer (20) and transmits the water accumulated in the water tank (40) to the siphon (70). The strainer (20) mentioned herein prevents dirt such as hair, hair, etc. from going to the siphon.

[0050] The most important and distinctive feature of the inventive water drain configuration is the throat element (50). The throat element (50) comprises a gasket (51 ) which prevents the connection pipe (30) from leaking water, and a threaded connection element (52) which provides a connection between the connection pipe (30) and the siphon (70). In addition, comprise a compression element (54) that allows the threaded connection element (52) to be fixed to the flange connection element.

[0051] During the placement in screed of the siphon (70) used for the discharge of the domestic water to the sewerage, it must be made in such a way that the siphon does not prevent the discharge of the domestic water to the sewerage. In addition, the axle dimensions and the level in the horizontal plane must be smooth. When the axle dimensions (length X width) mentioned in the bathroom products in which the inventive water drain is used are measured on the basis of the water drain throat; 125x400 mm for 800x800 mm, 140x450 mm for 900x900 mm, 200x450 mm for 1350x900 mm. The invention comprises a flange connection element (53) in the throat element in order to realise this aim. Said flange connection element (53) is connected to with the insulation skirt flange (60) and helps the threaded connection element (52) to move in horizontal and vertical axis. In this way, it eliminates the axis dimension error where the siphon (70) is placed and ensures that the siphon is level in the horizontal plane.
