Abstract
Description
[0001] BUILT-IN CISTERN PUSH BUTTON
[0002] Field of the invention
[0003] The utility model is framed within the technical sector of sanitary appliances, and specifically refers to a configuration of a built-in cistern flush button that offers several advantages over the built-in cistern flush buttons of the state of the art.
[0004] Background of the invention
[0005] Built-in flush buttons are devices designed to activate the flow of water in a toilet cistern. These buttons are installed inside the wall or structure that supports the toilet, making them more aesthetically pleasing and compact compared to traditional external models.
[0006] Inside the built-in cistern structure, there's a recessed activation plate comprising a mechanism that connects the buttons on a lid attached to the mechanism to a flush valve. When you press one of the buttons, this mechanism transmits the signal to the valve, allowing water to flow from the tank to the toilet.
[0007] The push button cover generally consists of a plate that covers the flush buttons and is secured or snapped into place either by screws or by some click or similar mechanism that allows the cover to be positioned over the activation plate.
[0008] Screw-mounting the activation plate is not only visually less attractive, as either the screw heads remain visible on the surface of the cover or they must be covered by a piece of hardware, which also affects the cover's aesthetics. Click-on fasteners, on the other hand, are usually made of plastic, which can wear out over time and with use, leading to breakage or deformation, especially if excessive force is applied during assembly or disassembly.
[0009] To avoid the aforementioned problems, the inventor has developed a new built-in cistern flush button with a new fixing system, the features and advantages of which are described in detail below.
[0010] Description of the invention
[0011] The present invention consists of a built-in cistern push button consisting of two parts, an activation plate that is built into the wall and comprises a flush valve activation mechanism, and a cover that is fixed to said activation plate and comprises the buttons that activate the activation mechanism.
[0012] The attachment between the activation plate and the lid is made by means of magnetic fixing elements, which offers different advantages in terms of ease of use, durability and maintenance.
[0013] Magnetic attachment makes installing the lid easier, as it doesn't require additional screws or complicated mechanisms. By simply aligning the lid with the activation plate, the magnets can quickly and easily secure it in place. Additionally, eliminating visible screws makes the design more aesthetically pleasing and clean.
[0014] If you need to access the push button's internal mechanism for maintenance or repair, the magnetic locking mechanism allows for quick removal of the cover without the need for additional tools, and also prevents the wear that the various latching mechanisms or clips can suffer after repeated latching and unlatching operations. The magnetic locking mechanism also contributes to a more aesthetic and clean design, as it eliminates the need for visible screws on the cover's surface.
[0015] The activation plate that is embedded in the wall comprises the activation mechanism, and comprises on its outer wall at least one magnetic connection element, and the lid comprises on its inner wall at least one magnetic connection element corresponding to the magnetic connection element of the activation plate, such that once the lid is mounted in its use position the magnetic connection element of the activation mechanism and the magnetic connection element of the lid are in contact, and where the lid is fixed on the activation plate due to the magnetic attraction force of the magnetic connection elements.
[0016] In a first configuration, each part of the push button is equipped with at least one magnet, where the opposite poles of both magnets face each other when the cover is mounted on the activation plate.
[0017] In a second configuration, the magnetic connection element of the activation plate is at least one magnet, while the magnetic connection element of the lid is at least one piece of a ferromagnetic material.
[0018] In a third configuration, the magnetic connection element of the activation plate is at least one piece of a ferromagnetic material, while the magnetic connection element of the lid is at least one magnet.
[0019] The magnetic connection element in each of the parts of the push button can be located in any position and have any shape, the magnetic connection element of the activation plate always being in contact with the magnetic connection element of the cover when the cover is in the mounting position and fixed on the activation plate.
[0020] Brief description of the drawings To complement the description being made and in order to help better understand the characteristics of the invention, in accordance with a preferred example of practical embodiment thereof, a set of figures is attached as an integral part of said description, in which the following has been represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes:
[0021] Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the inner parts of the activation plate and the cover of the built-in cistern push button, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0022] Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the inner part of the activation plate and the outer part of the cover of the built-in cistern push button, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0023] Figure 3 shows a section of the built-in cistern push button with the cover mounted on the activation plate, according to an embodiment option of the present invention.
[0024] Figure 4 shows a detail of the section of the built-in cistern push button shown in Figure 3.
[0025] Description of the embodiments of the invention
[0026] In view of the aforementioned figures, and in accordance with the numbering adopted, one can observe in them an example of a preferred embodiment of the invention, which comprises the parts and elements indicated and described in detail below.
[0027] The built-in cistern push button consists of two parts, an activation plate (1) comprising the activation mechanism of the flush valve, and a cover (2) that is fixed to said activation plate and comprising the buttons that activate the activation mechanism.
[0028] In the embodiment shown, the activation plate (1) comprises on its outer wall four magnetic connection elements (10) located at points close to its corners, thus ensuring the stability of the lid when it is in its assembled position, and the lid comprises on its inner wall four magnetic connection elements (20) corresponding to the magnetic connection elements of the activation plate (1), such that once the lid is assembled the magnetic connection element of the activation mechanism and the magnetic connection element of the lid are in contact, and where the lid is fixed on the activation plate due to the magnetic attraction force of the magnetic connection elements.
