[0002] Medical devices are sometimes used with disposable items that are discarded after each treatment. For example, a blood purification device used in hemodialysis uses a blood purifier, a blood circuit, and other consumable items. A display unit provided on the blood purification device displays installation procedures for installing consumable items such as the blood purifier and the blood circuit into the blood purification device (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The medical device 10 includes a main body 12 and a display 14. Claims
1. A medical device comprising: a main body having a plurality of attachment sections to which at least one consumable item is attached in accordance with an attachment procedure having a plurality of steps; and a display capable of displaying an overall image depicting the plurality of attachment sections, a detailed image depicting at least one of the plurality of steps, and an incidental image superimposed on at least one of the overall image and the detailed image.
2. The medical device according to claim 1, wherein the display unit is capable of displaying the auxiliary image at a position in the overall image where at least one attachment part related to at least one of the steps is depicted.
3. The medical device according to claim 1, wherein the display unit is capable of displaying the auxiliary image at each of two or more positions in the overall image where two or more attachment parts related to the at least one process are depicted.
4. The medical device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the display unit is capable of displaying the incidental image at a position in the detailed image where a portion of the at least one consumable item related to the at least one process is depicted.
5. The medical device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the display unit is capable of displaying the incidental image so that at least one of the display size and display color of the incidental image changes periodically.
6. A medical device according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the display unit is capable of displaying the accessory image so that it moves from a first position where a first attachment part is depicted to a second position where a second attachment part is depicted in the overall image.
7. The medical device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the display unit is capable of displaying an additional image explaining an operation for the at least one consumable item in at least one of the overall image and the detailed image.
8. A medical device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 7, further comprising a sensor that detects the execution of a process related to at least one of the plurality of mounting sections, and wherein the display unit is capable of changing the position at which the auxiliary image is displayed in the overall image in response to detection by the sensor.
9. A medical device according to any one of claims 1 to 8, further comprising a sensor that detects the execution of a process related to at least one of the plurality of mounting portions, and wherein the display unit is capable of starting to display a detailed image depicting a process subsequent to the process whose execution has been detected by the sensor, in response to detection by the sensor.
10. A medical device according to any one of claims 1 to 9, wherein the display unit is capable of switching between displaying two or more detailed images in a predetermined order while fixing the position at which the auxiliary image is superimposed on the overall image.
11. The medical device according to claim 10, wherein the display unit is capable of displaying an identification image that indicates which of the two or more detailed images is being displayed.
12. The medical device according to claim 10 or 11, wherein the display unit stops and starts switching between the two or more detailed images in response to a user operation.
13. The medical device according to claim 12, wherein the display unit restarts the stopped switching display of the two or more detailed images from the beginning in response to a user operation.
14. A display method for displaying, on a display unit of a medical device, an overall image depicting multiple attachment portions of a medical device to which at least one consumable is to be attached in accordance with an attachment procedure including multiple steps, a detailed image depicting at least one of the multiple steps, and an additional image superimposed on at least one of the overall image and the detailed image.
15. A program that causes a computer to realize the function of displaying, on the display unit of a medical device, an overall image depicting multiple attachment portions of a medical device to which at least one consumable is to be attached in accordance with an attachment procedure that includes multiple steps, a detailed image depicting at least one of the multiple steps, and an additional image superimposed on at least one of the overall image and the detailed image.
