The invention relates to a hand tool for use with attachments. The hand tools of the invention may be used with attachments with various speed and torque requirements. Preferred hand tools comprise a body with a brushless DC motor and means. which control the energisation of the motor. In use the brushless DC motor of the preferred hand tool is electrically supplied to drive a power output means connected to said motor. Another preferred hand tool comprises a body with a motor contained therein, a void space between an internal surface of the body and at least a part of the motor, a fluid inlet port provided and a fluid outlet port provided in or on the body, and ducting means which provides a channel for fluid supplied via the fluid inlet port to and from the void space and then on to the fluid outlet port.

The invention generally relates to vehicle diagnostic systems and their methods of use, and more particularly, to a hand-held automotive diagnostic code-reader/scan tool with data link connector (DTC) which straps to the user's arm and is comprised of a touch screen, a VIN bar code/number scanner, a credit card reader, a printer, and internet and cell phone connections to a variety of servers for credit card approval, billing and vehicle diagnostics. An electrical adapter with dual, user-operable locking mechanisms for attachment to a standard electrical plug and outlet, one for securing the prongs of the adapter into a socket or wall-mounted outlet or receptacle and the other for securing a standard electrical plug thereto. The two mechanisms work independently of each other to secure the male and female sides of a conventional plug-and-socket combination together. A combination tool for measuring and cutting materials such as drywall is disclosed. The tool includes a mount formed by first and second housing portions, the first and second housing portions defining a path terminating at an opening at one end of the mount. The dust removal device comprises a fan (18), a dust collection receptacle (24), and a suction passage (28). The dust collection receptacle (24) equipped with a dust filter (26) is located in the path of air flow (34, 36) between the suction passage (28) and the fan (18). The dust is therefore filtered out of the air stream before it reaches the fan, which prevents dust-induced wear. It is also possible to use the same fan for engine cooling as well as dust removal.
