[0017] Embodiments herein disclose a collapsible cassette handling system for a charging and interchange station, wherein the station comprises a collapsible frame. The collapsible frame can have a plurality of first vertical beams and a plurality of horizontal beams. The first vertical beams and horizontal beams are coupled together to form a rectangular prism structure. A cassette handling system is functionally coupled to the collapsible frame. The collapsible frame is configured to collapse in vertical and horizontal directions.
[0018] Each first vertical beam comprises a first primary receptacle, a first secondary insert, and a first tertiary insert. The first primary receptacle can be rigidly mounted on a floor surface vertically at one end, wherein the first secondary insert can be slidably inserted into the first primary receptacle, and the first tertiary insert can be slidably inserted into the first secondary insert. STATEMENT OF CLAIMSWe claim:
1. A cassette handling system in a charging and interchange station, comprising: a collapsible frame (110) wherein the collapsible frame (110) is configured to collapse in vertical and horizontal directions, the collapsible frame (110) comprising: a first plurality of vertical beams (120); a plurality of horizontal beams (130), wherein the plurality of vertical beams (120) and the plurality of horizontal beams (130) are coupled together to form a rectangular prism structure; a cassette handling system (150) functionally coupled to the collapsible frame (110).
2. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the first plurality of vertical beams (120) comprises: a first primary receptacle (122) configured to be rigidly mounted on a floor surface vertically on one end of the vertical beam (120); a first secondary insert (124) configured to be slidably inserted into the first primary receptacle (122); and a first tertiary insert (126) configured to be slidably inserted into the first secondary insert (124).
3. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 2, wherein in a collapsible condition, the first tertiary insert (126) is substantially enclosed within the first secondary insert (124), and the first secondary insert (124) is substantially enclosed within the first primary receptacle (122) to form a tube-inside-tube arrangement.

The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 1, wherein each horizontal beam (130) comprises: a second primary receptacle (132); a second secondary insert (134) configured to be slidably inserted into the second primary receptacle (132); and a second tertiary insert (136) configured to be slidably inserted into the second secondary insert (134).

The cassette handling system as claimed in claims 2 and 4, wherein each primary receptacle (122, 132), secondary insert (124, 134), and tertiary insert (126, 136) are equipped with a pair of adjacent holes substantially closer to the top and bottom ends, wherein the holes are designed to align during both expansion and collapsing processes, wherein lock pins are inserted into the holes to secure the alignment, preventing unintended movement.

The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cassette handling system (150) is attached to the collapsible frame (110) through an H frame (160), wherein the H frame (160) comprises a second vertical beam, and the second vertical beam of the H frame (160) comprises a third primary receptacle, a third secondary insert, and a third tertiary insert.
7. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the H-frame is configured to be collapsed vertically.

The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a flange (140) featuring three beam mating faces (144), and a flange mating face (142), wherein the three beam mating faces (144) are oriented perpendicular to adjacent faces, and the flange mating face (142) is perpendicular to the mating faces (144) located at one end.
9. The collapsible cassette handling system as claimed in claim 8, wherein a pair of pins (146) are situated on a central face of the flange (140).
10. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 8, wherein the configuration of the flange (140) enables the flange (140) to connect inserts and receptacles in an expanded condition, thereby securing the vertical beam (120), and the horizontal beam (130) in place.
11. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 8, wherein the flange mating face (142) is designed to align with a mating face of at least one other flange, allowing for the insertion of pins into a plurality of holes provided to firmly lock two subsequent flanges together.
12. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 1, wherein guide rails are attached to the horizontal beam for enabling horizontal movement of the cassette handling unit (150) when the cassette handling system is expanded, wherein the guide rails are provided with a stepped profile due to the non-linearity of the horizontal beams (130).
13. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the collapsible frame (110) and the H-frame (150) are provided with a hydraulic lift to expand the cassette handling system from the collapsible condition to the expanded condition and vice versa.
14. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the expansion and collapse of the collapsible cassette handling system can be controlled through at least one of a cloud device, locally, or a remote device.
15. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the primary receptacles (122, 132) and the secondary inserts (124, 134) are provided with a stopper internally to restrict the movement of inserts beyond a certain point, wherein the stopper helps in the prevention of inserts dropping accidentally within the primary receptacle or secondary insert in its entirety.
16. The cassette handling system as claimed in claim 1, wherein a plurality of wheels are provided at the bottom portion of the vertical beams (120) for transportation of the collapsible cassette handling system, wherein after the collapsible cassette handling system is mounted in its designated location, the plurality of wheels can be retracted, and the cassette handling system can be secured with adjustable screw jacks (170) for vertical alignment of the collapsible cassette handling system.
