[0006] This invention concerns a removable hard top for a motor vehicle. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising a removable hard top.

[0008] Motor vehicles are known that comprise the following: a chassis defining a passenger compartment to accommodate the driver and any passengers; a number of wheels rotating with respect to the chassis; and

[0009] - a hard top removably coupled to the chassis and adapted to cover the passenger compartment at a top point thereof, which is opposed to the wheels along a vertical direction of the motor vehicle.

[0010] As is well known, when the hard top is removed, the passenger compartment is directly communicating with the surrounding environment. Conversely, when the hard top is fixed to the chassis, it protects the occupants of the passenger compartment from the weather and outside noise.

[0011] However, the assembly and disassembly of hard tops is generally complicated and sometimes requires the intervention of specialised workers. Therefore, there is a need for a hard top that can be easily assembled and disassembled.

Each module also comprises a sunshade and a second motor configured to selectively adjust the sunshade in a range between a folded up configuration and an unfolded configuration when electrically powered. Each module has a locking mechanism with a locking state to secure the frame in a respective opening of the top and establish a power supply circuit to power the motors; and an unlocking state to remove the frame from the top opening and open the power supply circuit.

The fastener has a removable top-mounted connecting part and a receiving part attached to the vehicle body. The connecting part has a threaded sleeve, in the through hole of which a guide bolt is rotatively mounted, while the threaded sleeve is attached to the removable top by means of nuts screwed onto its outer thread. The guide bolt also has two radially projecting locking pins, each of which engages in an insertion opening in the hollow cylindrical receiving part. Adjacent to each insertion opening, there is a respective guide shoulder; the guide shoulders join at a stop cavity. By angular rotation of the guide bolt, the locking pins slide over the guide shoulders and finally engage in the stop cavities, while the disc springs, which surround the guide bolt, are preloaded so that the locking pins are elastically attached.

The actuating device is connected to laterally external locking elements via connecting elements that extend transversely. When the top is in the closed position, the locking elements interact with receiving devices mounted on the windscreen frame. The receiving devices are only accessible from above in order to create a locking device that, while being easy to assemble, ensures smooth operation and enables large stroke movements in a vertical direction. The receiving devices each consist of a closing portion attached to the windscreen on which a bolt extending horizontally is locally mounted. The bolt extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and, when opening and closing the folding top, is operationally connected to a locking hook of the locking element that is guided so it can be moved in the transverse direction of the vehicle.

[0060] In Figure 1, reference number 1 is used to indicate a motor vehicle as a whole. Without implying any loss of generality, the vehicle illustrated is a motor vehicle, preferably a sports car, for example of the cabriolet or roadster type.

[0061] The vehicle 1 comprises, in a known way, a chassis 2 and multiple wheels - not illustrated - rotating with respect to the chassis 2 about respective rotation axes.

12', 13';12'', 13''; 12''', 13'''; 12'''', 13'''') configured to attach said removable top (10'; 10''; 10'''; 10'''') to a portion (2) of said motor vehicle (1; 1'; 1''; 1’’’; 1’’’’); wherein said connecting element (12, 13; 12', 13'; 12'', 13''; 12''', 13'''; 12' ''', 13'''') is electrically connected to said electrical or electronic component (30) and is configured to be electrically connected to an electrical power source (4) of said motor vehicle (1; 1'; 1''; 1'''; 1''''); characterised in that said electric or electronic component (30) comprises two electric locks (32, 33); each said electric lock (32, 33) comprising a mechanism (40) adapted to selectively assume either a locked configuration, wherein it is adapted to engage a respective lock striker (44, 45) of said vehicle (1), or an unlocked configuration, wherein it is adapted to disengage said lock striker (44, 45); and- a light-emitting device (37).4.- The removable top according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said connecting element (12, 13; 12', 13'; 12" , 13" ; 12'" , 13'" ; 12"" , 13"" ) is made of a first electrically conductive material.5.- The removable top according to claim 4, wherein said connecting element (12', 13'; 12" , 13" ; 12'" , 13'" ; 12"" , 13"" ) comprises a portion (14h'; 14h" ) made of a second electrically conductive material.6.- The removable top according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising a first said connecting element (12; 12'; 12" ; 12'" ; 12"" ) and a second said connecting element (13; 13'; 13" ; 13'" ; 13" " ); wherein one of said first connecting element (12; 12'; 12" ; 12'" ; 12" " ) and said second connecting element (13; 13'; 13''; 13'''; 13' " ’) is configured to be electrically connected to a positive terminal (4a) of said electrical power source (4), and the other one of said first connecting element (12; 12'; 12" ; 12'" ; 12"" ) and said second connecting element (13; 13'; 13''; 13'''; 13' " ’) is configured to be electrically connected to a negative terminal (4b) of said electrical power source (4).7.- The removable top according to any of the previous claims, comprising a first selector (42) and a second selector (43), both of which are electrically connected to said electric motor (41); wherein one of said first selector (42) and said second selector (43) is configured to be electrically connected to a positive terminal (4a) of said electrical power source (4) and the other of said first selector (42) and said second selector (43) is configured to be electrically connected to a negative terminal (4b) of said electrical power source (4); said first selector (42) and said second selector (43) being positionable in respective: first operating positions, wherein they are configured to allow the passage of electric current between said electrical power source (4) and said electric motor (41); second operating positions, wherein they are configured to deny the passage of electric current between said electrical power source (4) and said electric motor (41).8.- A motor vehicle (1; 1’; 1’’; 1’’’; 1’’’’) comprising:- a chassis (2) defining a passenger compartment (3) adapted to house at least one driver of said motor vehicle (1; 1'; 1 " ; 1'''; 1'''');- a plurality of wheels rotatable with respect to said chassis (2) about respective rotation axes;- an electrical power storage device (4);- a removable top (10; 10'; 10''; 10'''; 10''') according to any one of the preceding claims; said removable top (10;10'; 10''; 10'''; 10''') being removably attached to said chassis (2) and configured to cover, in use, said compartment (3) at a top point thereof (3a) opposite said wheels along a first direction (Z), which is vertical, in use; said removable top (10; 10'; 10" ; 10'" ; 10"" ) being electrically connected to said electrical power storage device (4).9.- The motor vehicle according to claim 8, wherein said chassis (2) comprises at least one seat (5; 5') configured to be engaged by said connecting element (12, 13; 12', 13'; 12" , 13" ; 12'" , 13'" ; 12"" , 13"" ) of said removable top (10; 10'; 10" ; 10'" ; 10"" ); wherein said seat (5; 5') comprises:- a cavity (6; 6') configured to house said connecting element (12, 13; 12', 13'; 12" , 13" ; 12'" , 13'" ; 12"" , 13"" );- an electrically conductive element (7; 7'), which is electrically connected to said electrical power source (4) and is at least partially facing said cavity (6; 6').10.- The motor vehicle according to claim 9, wherein said seat (5') further comprises elastic means (8') operatively connected to said electrically conductive element (7') and configured to elastically load said electrically conductive element (7') towards a position wherein said electrically conductive element (7') is in contact with said connecting element (12'; 12" ; 12'" ; 12" " ).11.- The motor vehicle according to any one of claims 8 to 10, defining a second longitudinal extension direction (X), which is transversal to said first direction (Z);said motor vehicle (1;
