Abstract

[0004] Field of the invention

[0005] The present invention relates to a bookmark of the type which is normally used to find again a page of interest in a book, and more precisely it relates to a bookmark provided with LED lighting .

[0006] Description of the prior art

[0007] As known, bookmarks are widely used, which simply consist of a strip of cardboard, wood, plastic, or metal , which are used for easily finding the page of interest in a book .

[0008] Bookmark also exist provided with a light , for example a LED light , that have , therefore , also the function of allowing the reader to illuminate the page of interest in low-light conditions .

[0009] However, the bookmarks of this latter type are normally complex from a construction point of view and have a great thickness , because it is necessary to equip them with electrical circuits able to turn on and off the source of light of which they are provided with .

[0010] In particular, a component which, generally, considerably increases the thickness of the bookmark of this type is the ON / OFF switch, whose thickness even though it can be reduced remains , anyway, high with respect to the rest of the article .

[0011] Another drawback of this type of bookmark which is provided with a light source , it is that , when it is positioned inside the book, unavoidably the pressure exerted by the pages which allows to hold it in place , can operate the aforementioned switch, thus causing the light to be turned of f and, therefore , signi ficant discomfort for the reader .

[0012] Another drawback of the bookmarks provided with light is that they are not able to obtain di f ferent lighting conditions because they are provided with one or more light sources which are , anyway, all contemporaneously turned on or turned of f . Therefore , it is not possible to adapt the lighting of the page to the surrounding lighting conditions with the possibility of unpleasant reflections or low lighting of the page which make di f ficult or even not possible to read the page same .

Firstly, switches are provided for turning on and of f the LED-chips of which they are provided with . Therefore , the electronic circuit both of CN205705825 and of CN207105922 is complex from a construction point of view and heavy .

[0014] Furthermore , both CN205705825 and CN207105922 provide two di f ferent lighting configurations , and precisely a first lighting configuration, where only one LED-chip is turned on, and, in the other case , both the LED-chips are turned on . However, both the bookmark described in CN205705825 and the bookmark described in CN207105922 comprises two LED- chips which are connected in parallel to each other . Therefore , it is not possible to alternatively turn on the two LED-chips . This strongly limits the possible lighting configurations which can be obtained . Summary of the invention

[0015] It is , therefore , an obj ect of the present invention to provide a bookmark with LED lighting which is able to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art bookmarks .

[0092] As diagrammatical ly shown in figure 1 , a bookmark with LED lighting 1 , according to the invention, comprises a flexible support 10 , preferably of thin-plate shape , for example a small plate , and which is , advantageously, flexible due to the reduced thickness , for example comprised between 2 mm and 8 mm, advantageously comprised between 3 mm and 6 mm . The flexible support 10 , preferably made of polyamide , or polyimide , in particular Kapton, i s provided with a first LED-chip 21 and with at least a second LED- chip 22 . The flexible support 10 is , furthermore , provided with a printed circuit board 30 arranged to electrically connect the first and second LED-chips 21 and 22 to a battery 60 . In particular, the printed circuit board 30 comprises a first track 31 made of a material conducting electricity, for example copper, comprising a first end pad 33 . The printed circuit board 30 comprises , furthermore , a second track 32 made of the aforementioned material conducting electricity, or in a di f ferent conducting material , and comprising a second end pad 34 . More in detail , in use , one of the first and second end pads 33 , or 34 , is arranged in contact with the positive pole 61 of the battery 60 , preferably a coin battery, and the other is arranged in contact with the negative pole 62 of the same battery 60 .

Claims

CLAIMS1. Bookmark with LED lighting (1) comprising a flexible support (10) provided with:- a first LED-chip (21) and at least a second LED-chip (22) ;- a printed circuit board (30) arranged to electrically connect said first and second LED-chips (21,22) to a battery (60) , said printed circuit board (30) comprising:- a first track (31) made of a conducting material comprising a first end pad (33) ;- a second track (32) in said conducting material and comprising a second end pad (34) , wherein, in use, one of said first and second end pads (33,34) is arranged in contact with the positive pole (61) of said battery (60) and the other is arranged in contact with the negative pole (62) of said battery (60) ; said bookmark with LED lighting (1) being characterized in that said first LED-chip (21) is provided with a positive pole (23) connected to said first track (31) and with a negative pole (24) connected to said second track (32) and said second LED-chip (22) is provided with a positive pole (25) connected to said second track (32) and with a negative pole (26) connected to said first track (31) in such a way to selectively and alternatively obtain a first lighting configuration where said first LED-chip (21) is turned on and said second LED-chip (22) is turned off, when said first end pad (33) is in contact with said positive pole (61) of said battery (60) and said second end pad (34) is incontact with said negative pole (62) of said battery (60) , or a second lighting configuration, where, instead, said second LED-chip (22) is turned on and said first LED-chip (21) is turned off, when said second end pad (34) is in contact with said positive pole (61) of said battery (60) and said first end pad (33) is in contact with said negative pole (62) of said battery (60) .

2. Bookmark (1) according to claim 1, wherein a first and a second magnet (45a, 45b) are, furthermore, provided positioned at opposite sides of said flexible support (10) with respect to said first and second end pads (33,34) , said magnets (45a, 45b) being arranged to hold said battery (60) in at least a first predetermined position with respect to said flexible support (10) both in said first lighting configuration and in said second lighting configuration, and in at least a respective second predetermined position with respect to said flexible support (10) in a power-off configuration, where said battery (60) is not arranged in contact with said first or second end pad (33,34) whereby said first LED- chip (21) and said second LED-chip (22) are turned off.

Bookmark (1) , according to claim 1, or 2, wherein said flexible support (10) comprises:- a first part (11) having a first face (13) provided with :- said first track (31) comprising said first end pad ( 33 ) ; and- a first portion (32a) of said second track (32) , said first portion (32a) comprising a first plurality of secondary pads (74) ;a second part (12) having a respective first face(14) provided with:- a second portion (32b) of said second track (32) , said second portion (32b) comprising a second plurality of secondary pads (75) and said second end pad ( 34 ) ; and wherein said first and second parts (11,12) are positioned, in use, one above the other in such a way to arrange said respective first faces (13,14) in contact with each other, to position each secondary pad (74) of said first plurality in contact with a respective secondary pad (75) of said second plurality thus forming this way said second track (32) of said printed circuit board (30) .

Bookmark (1) , according to one or more of the previous claims, wherein said first and second end pads (33,34) are positioned, respectively, at a fist and a second support portion (17,18) of said flexible support (10) configured to be moved away and towards each other, in such a way to move from a spaced apart position to allow said battery (60) to be arranged between said first and second end pads (33,34) and a close position where said positive pole (61) of said battery (60) is arranged in contact with one of said first and second end pads (33,34) and said negative pole (62) is arranged in contact with the other one of said first and second end pads (33,34) .

5. Bookmark (1) , according to claim 4, wherein at least one of said first and second support portions (17,18) is configured to be inclined along a weakening line (2) with respect to a main portion (19) of said flexible support (10) .

6. Bookmark (1) , according to any claim from 3 to 5, wherein said first and second parts (11,12) are mutually adhesively bonded one above the other at said respective first faces (13,14) .

7. Bookmark (1) , according to any claim from 3 to 6, wherein said secondary pads (74) of said first plurality are made of a tin-based metallic alloy and said secondary pads (75) of said second plurality are made of a different conducting material.

Bookmark (1) , according to one or more of the previous claims, wherein said first LED-chip (21) is arranged to emit a warm light, that means having a temperature between 3000K and 3550K, and said second LED-chip (22) is arranged to emit a cool light, that means a light with a temperature higher than 4000K.

Bookmark (1) , according to one or more of the claims from 4 to 8, wherein said first magnet (45a) is positioned at said first support portion (17) at the opposite side of said first end pad (33) and said second magnet (45b) is positioned at said second support portion (18) at the opposite side of said second end pad (34) , wherein said first and second magnets (45a, 45b) are arranged to exert a magnetic force of attraction on said first and second support portions (17,18) arranged to oppose said movement of said first and second support portions (17,18) from said close position to said spaced apart position, and to guarantee that said positive pole (61) and said negative pole (62) of said battery (60) are respectively arranged in contact with said positive pole of said first LED-chip(21) and with said negative pole of said second LED- chip (22) in said first lighting configuration, or with said negative pole of said first LED-chip (21) and with said positive pole of said second LED-chip (22) in said second lighting configuration.

10. Bookmark (1) , according to one or more of the previous claims, wherein said first and second LED-chips (21,22) are configured to emit respectively a light at a first predetermined temperature T1 and a light at a second predetermined temperature T2 with T1^T2.

Bookmark (1) , according to claim 10, wherein said first predetermined temperature T1 belongs to a first predetermined range of temperatures ATI corresponding to a light selected among: warm light, neutral light and cool light, and said second predetermined temperature T2 belongs to a second predetermined range of temperatures AT2 corresponding to a light selected among: warm light, neutral light and cool light, with AT1^AT2.

Bookmark (1) , according to one or more of the previous claims, wherein a case (50) is, furthermore, provided configured to house said battery (60) , said case (50) comprising a main body (55) provided with a first aperture (51) at a first side where, in use, said positive pole (61) is arranged, and with a second aperture (52) at a second side opposite to the first, where, instead, in use, said negative pole (62) of said battery (60) is arranged, in such a way to allow said positive pole (61) and said negative pole (62) to move in contact, respectively, with said first end pad (33)and with said second end pad (34) , in said first lighting configuration, and with said second end pad (34) and with said first end pad (33) in said second lighting configuration.

Bookmark (1) , according to claim 12, wherein said case (50) comprises a first part (50a) and a second part (50b) configured to move from a disassembled configuration where said battery (60) can be arranged between said first part (50a) and said second part (50b) , and an assembled configuration, where said first and second parts (50a, 50b) are arranged to mutually engage with each other, in such a way to block said battery ( 60 ) .

14. Bookmark (1) , according to claim 13, wherein said first and second parts (50a, 50b) of said case (50) are provided with respective engagement elements (53,54) configured to move from a disengagement configuration to an engagement configuration.

15. Bookmark (1) , according to claim 12, or 13, wherein said main body (55) of said case (50) is made of a nonconducting material .

16. Bookmark (1) , according to any claim from 3 to 15, wherein said first and second parts (11,12) of said flexible support (10) are mutually glued to each other at an adhesive portion (16) .

17. Bookmark (1) , according to claim 16, wherein said adhesive portion (16) does not extend to said first and second support portions (17,18) .

Bookmark (1) , according to claim 15 and 17, wherein said adhesive portion is configured in such a way to allowto move said case (50) together with said battery (60) from said first, or second, lighting configuration, to said power-off configuration, where said main body (55) is arranged in contact with said first and second end pads (33,34) .

Method for manufacturing a bookmark (1) characterized in that it comprises the steps of:- providing a flexible support (10) provided with a first LED-chip (21) , at least a second LED-chip (22) , and a printed circuit board (30) configured to connect said first and second LED-chip (21,22) to a battery (60) , said flexible support (10) comprising:- a first part (11) having a first face (13) provided with a first track (31) made of a conducting material comprising a first end pad (33) and a first portion (32a) of a second track (32) made of said conducting material and comprising a first plurality of secondary pads (74) made of a tin-based metallic alloy;- a second part (12) having a respective first face (14) provided with a second portion (32b) of said second track (32) made of said conducting material and comprising a second end pad (34) and a second plurality of secondary pads (75) made of a conducting material, said first and second end pads (33,34) being arranged, in use, in contact with a positive pole (61) and a negative pole (62) of said battery (60) for electrically supplying said first or said second LED-chip (21,22) ;— positioning said first and second parts (11,12) one above the other in such a way to arrange said respectivefirst faces (13,14) in contact with each other, to arrange each secondary pad (74) of said first plurality in contact with a respective secondary pad (75) of said second plurality in such a way to form said second track (32) of said printed circuit board (30) ;- heating said first and second parts (11,12) arranged one above the other by a heating device up to a predetermined temperature T higher than the melting temperature of said tin-based metallic alloy in such a way to firmly anchor said secondary pads (74) of said first plurality to the respective secondary pads (75) of said second plurality.
