Abstract

Provided is a perfume composition for expressing the fragrance of silk tree flower. The perfume composition includes the fragrance components of silk tree flower, linalool, cis-linalool oxide (furanoid), cis-linalool oxide (pyranoid) and 2-phenylethyl alcohol, and an artificially synthesized material, 3-methylbutanal oxime, and is capable of expressing the characteristic fragrance of silk tree flower and of providing improved preference of fragrance.

[0002] Albizia julibrissin is a deciduous tree belonging to the leguminous family, and it is easy to see along streams or on mountains in the south of the mountains of Hwanghae Province in Korea. The tree is 3 to 5 meters high. It has large, sparse branches and twigs with protrusions. The leaves are bipinnately compound. Small leaves grow to 6 to 15mm long and 2.5 to 4.0mm wide. The leaves are curved and sickle-shaped, with an oval shape and smooth edges. The pale pink flowers bloom in June or July in clusters of 15 to 20 at the tips of the twigs, like umbrellas. The flowers appear pink because of about 15 long stamens protruding outwards. The fruit ripens in September or October and is lentil-like, about 15cm long, with 5 to 6 seeds.
