[0001] SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR POWER GENERATION AND MANAGEMENT THROUGH

[0002] SOLAR PANELS

[0003] CLAIM OF PRIORITY:

[0004] This patent application claims priority from the Indian complete patent application number 202341068213 filed on 11th October, 2023 titled "SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR POWER GENERATION AND MANAGEMENT THROUGH SOLAR PANELS".

[0005] FIELD OF INVENTION:

[0006] The present invention generally relates to power generation and management device and system by utilizing photovoltaic or solar panels. More particularly the present invention relates to a system and device for power generation and management through solar panels.

[0007] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:

[0008] With the increasing costs of energy and finite supplies of energy-related resources, the wide-scale implementation of renewable energy resources, such as wind and solar power, is the primary focus of much research in the field. Environmental concerns related to the use of traditional energy sources, such as coal, oil natural gas and nuclear power, even further bolster the need for more wide spread use of environmentally friendly wind and solar power.

[0009] The growth in renewable energy generation has led to an increased need to develop, manufacture and test components and subsystems for solar thermal, photovoltaic (PV), and concentrating optics for both thermal and electrical solar applications. At the heart of any solar simulator is the light source itself.

[0010] The growing demand for energy, combined with issues of environmental pollution, climate change, and the rapid depletion of fossil fuels, have encouraged the research and development of cost effective renewable alternatives. Solar electrical and thermal energy research groups have focused on developing novel technologies and on improving existing renewable solutions. The transient nature of solar energy represents a critical challenge for technologies testing. Outdoor experiments are carried out in real but uncontrollable environments. For example, incident solar energy levels are highly dependent on atmospheric conditions and sky clarity over time. Therefore, achieving the rapid and low-cost development of solar thermal and PV systems requires a controlled environment with key parameters that can be adjusted and monitored. Consequently, a range of solar simulators have been designed and used since the 1960's.

[0011] A photovoltaic (PV) array is a linked collection of solar panels (modules), which are made of multiple interconnected solar cells that convert light energy into direct electrical current (DC), via the photovoltaic effect. However, most commercial and residential applications of electricity require alternating electrical current (AC) that typically is provided by power generating facilities utilizing coal, nuclear material, or water. Upon generating the alternating current, the power generating facilities transmit the generated alternating current into an electrical grid system.

[0012] In order for most commercial and residential users to utilize the electricity generated by the solar panels, the direct current from the solar panels is typically transformed into alternating current. This is achieved by way of an electrical device known as an inverter, the output of which is subsequently tied to the electrical grid system. In turn, the alternating current is distributed via the electrical grid system to commercial and residential sites.

[0013] As we know solar cell requires light to generate electricity and it cannot generate any electricity during non-solar hours and the domestic and industrial demand is high at that time. Taking the advantage of this problem thermal plant all over the world reluctant to shut down the plants and there's continuous environmental pollution due continuous burning of fossil fuels and these continuous environmental pollution.

[0014] One hurdle yet to be overcome in wind and solar power implementation is reliability or intermittency. In contrast to traditional energy sources (coal, oil, gas, nuclear) renewable energy sources (wind and solar) are subject to sudden disruptions and difficult to predict intermittencies, for example by sudden cloud cover or an abrupt drop in wind which can result in drop of power. In general, for the consumer or industrial market, a constant supply of power is required. Typically, energy generated when sunlight and wind are available could be stored in batteries for later use.

[0015] Hence, the present invention solves the above problem by storing the huge amount of energy in the batteries during the solar hours and supply the electricity during non-solar hours without any interruption.

[0016] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION:

[0017] Some of the objects of the arrangements of the present invention are aimed to ameliorate one or more problems or limitations of the prior art or at least to provide a useful alternative and are listed herein below.

[0018] The principal objective of the present invention is that the huge amount of energy is stored in the connected batteries and to supply the electricity during non-solar hours.

[0019] Another objective of the present invention is that the externally connected circuits to the cubicle solar unit are configured to achieve desired power output which transfers to connected on-grid solar inverter to supply an uninterrupted power to the grid during non-solar hours. Another objective of the present invention is that the on-grid solar inverter having an active state is configured to adjust the power output to obtain uninterrupted AC power to supply to the grid during non-solar hours being connected externally and in parallel to solar cubicle unit for electrical communication and to track maximum power point from solar cubicle unit.

[0020] Another objective of the present invention is that the connected battery to store the energy obtained from sun light, to illuminate the solar cubicle unit and to operate DC-DC converter during solar hours and the energy being discharged during nonsolar hours.

[0021] Other objects and advantages of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description when read in conjunction with the accompanying figures, which are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

The transparent solar panels being connected vertically or horizontally inside the solar cubicle unit are at 2 to 3 feet distance from the centre of the x-ray tube. The DC power generated by the connected solar cells of the solar cubicle unit being converted into AC power through the configured on-grid solar inverter and an uninterrupted power is sent to the grid during non-solar hours. The connected on-grid solar inverter is configured to adjust the power output either in an increased or decreased mode to obtain an uninterrupted AC power to supply the grid.

[0041] In one or more embodiments, a device for power generation and management through solar panels, the said system includes a solar cubicle unit connected with multiple solar panels inside or inner surface of the cubical unit, an electromagnetic radiation source such as a light or ultraviolet rays, an on-grid solar inverter, a DC-DC converter, a battery and a grid or an electrical grid. Multiple solar cubicle units in different sizes being structured in cubicle shape by arranging or connecting transparent solar panels adjacently on each inner wall of the cubicle unit. All structured solar cubicle units being snugly fitted one inside another. At least one light or ultraviolet rays is connected at a center of the structured solar cubicle unit. Solar cubicle unit, DC-DC converter, battery and on-grid solar inverter can be adjusted and controlled. Artificial light in the solar cubicle unit controls the output power and switching frequencies control the DC-DC converter. The power output of the on-grid solar inverter can be adjusted to increased or decreased manner and a pure uninterrupted AC power can be supplied to the grid during non-solar hours. Sun light is used only to store the energy in the battery to illuminate the solar cubicle unit and to operate the DC-DC converter. During solar hours, the sun light stores energy in a battery so that it can discharge the energy throughout the night or during non-solar hours. Figure 2A and Figure 2B illustrates the structural view of semiconductor Pn -junction diodes connected inside the solar cubicle unit that in turn connected to on-grid inverter, according to the present invention.

[0044] In one or more embodiment, X- rays are emitted from the centre of the solar cubicle unit so that all the X-rays hit the walls of the solar cubicle unit evenly and all the walls of the solar cubicle unit are fixed with semiconductor Pn -junction diode which has electric field inside at its junction and can absorb the powerful electromagnetic radiation emitted by the X-ray tube which is placed exactly at the centre of the cubicle structure. All these semiconductor Pn- junction diodes which convert the X- ray energy into the electric energy are connected in series or parallel or any other convenient combination that in turn connected to the on-grid inverter and the power is supplied to grid through the on-grid inverter.

[0045] In one or more embodiments, the semiconductor Pn-junction diode absorbs and converts the electromagnetic radiation emitted by X-ray tube into electric energy and this energy can be used to send to grid and can be utilized for other purposes. The electron hole pair is generated by the X-ray photon in the Pn -junction and due to the presence of electric field in the Pn- junction electron is driven towards the n- region and hole is driven towards the p-region and by this way X-ray photon create electron hole pair and high energetic electromagnetic radiation is converted into electric energy.

[0046] Figure 3 illustrates the structural view of phosphor scintillators placed inside the solar cubicle unit, according to the present invention.

[0047] In one or more embodiments, a powerful X-rays are emitted from the centre of the solar cubicle unit so that all the X-rays hit the walls of the solar cubicle unit evenly and all the walls of the solar cubicle unit are fixed with solar panels and phosphor scintillators are placed in front of the solar panels within the solar cubicle unit in which the X-ray passes through the scintillators and high energy X-ray photons are converted into visible light and the solar panels absorb the visible light energy and convert the light energy into electrical energy and in turn this electric energy is transferred to the on-grid solar inverter and the power is supplied to the grid.

[0048] Figure 4 illustrates a structural view of solar cubicle units in different sizes being fitted one inside another, according to the present invention.

[0049] In one or more embodiments, multiple solar cubicle units in different sizes being structured in cubicle shape by arranging or connecting transparent solar panels adjacently on each inner wall of the cubicle unit. An electromagnetic waves spread in spherical form and these electromagnetic radiation hits all the surfaces of the solar cubicle unit structured or formed through transparent solar cells or panels. Hence in this way maximum energy can be absorbed by the transparent solar cells or panels.

[0050] Figure 5 illustrates the working system or an arrangment of solar cubical unit connected to DC-DC converter and on-grid solar inverter, according to the present invention.

[0051] In one or more embodiments, when the source of electromagnetic radiation (e.g., light, ultraviolet rays, X-rays, etc.) placed at the centre of the solar cubicle unit and solar cells placed or fixed to all the six dimensions of cubicle unit, all the solar panels absorb the electromagnetic radiation (e.g., light energy , ultraviolet rays , X-rays, etc.) that converts the electrical energy and the DC power generated by solar cells is converted into AC power through the inverter and hence the power is sent to the grid. In this system there is a possibility of getting sufficient voltage but a very low current is generated, to overcome this problem DC-DC converter is used so that voltage is reduced and current is increased with the DC-DC converter, and a very controlled power is supplied to the inverter and on-grid inverter sends the power to the grid and the uninterrupted power even at the night time is sent to the grid, through functioning of solar cells.
