Description

[0001] SAFETY LOCK FOR EMERGENCY DEVICE IN TRANSPORT VEHICLES

[0002] Technical sector

[0003]

[0001] This utility model belongs to the technical sector of safety equipment, and more specifically refers to a new constructive arrangement introduced in a safety lock for emergency devices in transport vehicles. The lock prevents, through a solenoid, the activation of emergency devices for manually opening doors, usually found in transport vehicles such as buses.

[0004] State of the art

[0005]

[0002] Public transport vehicles, such as buses, have electronic tilting / folding doors that allow remote activation by the driver / operator, aiming to facilitate and expedite passenger entry and exit. The opening mechanisms of tilting doors in transport vehicles operate using an electric actuator with a drive gear that rotates a driven gear connected to the doors. The driven gear is usually connected to rods that attach to the vehicle doors, and, when rotated, moves the doors, opening and closing them.

[0006]

[0003] Because the doors are electronic, if an electrical problem occurs with the vehicle, such as a power outage, the doors will lock, preventing passengers from entering or exiting. To solve this problem, the vehicles have an emergency device attached to the door opening mechanism that allows manual movement of the doors, preventing passengers from being trapped inside the vehicle. Emergency devices ensure passenger safety in critical situations. Designed for easy access and intuitive operation, these levers are vital protection in emergencies, allowing passengers to quickly open the doors in situations such as fires, accidents, or other circumstances requiring immediate evacuation. Their presence and reliable operation are fundamental aspects to ensure the protection and well-being of vehicle occupants.

[0007]

[0004] Emergency devices commonly consist of emergency levers coupled directly to the electronic opening mechanism of overhead doors. When activated, they move the elements that make up the door opening mechanism, disengaging the gears, for example, in order to allow the doors to be moved manually.

[0008]

[0005] The drawback of devices known in the prior art is the lack of a safety lock on the devices. Without a lock, the device can be activated at any time, thus, malicious passengers, or accidentally, can activate the emergency lever, causing disruption, or, in extreme cases, dangerous situations inside the vehicle.

[0009]

[0006] Patent document BR 10 2014 032004 describes a door movement system with emergency actuation and a method for actuating said system. However, the emergency actuation does not contain a safety lock, thus it can be activated at any time by a user, intentionally or accidentally, causing disruption inside the vehicle.

[0010]

[0007] Patent document BR 20 2014 010705 describes an emergency system applied to the actuation of doors in transport vehicles. The system comprises an electromechanical actuator interconnected to the vehicle's electronic system that blocks the movement of a set of emergency levers for the movement of the vehicle door. This system prevents the misuse of the bus's emergency function. This system has the disadvantage of requiring a set of levers as an emergency device, necessitating the movement of several mechanisms to open the doors in urgent cases, which makes opening the doors difficult and increases the likelihood of failures or incidents.

[0011] Novelty and objective of the proposed model.

[0012]

[0008] The new constructive arrangement introduced in a safety lock for an emergency device in transport vehicles, proposed by this utility model, effectively resolves the limitations of the prior art previously mentioned.

[0013]

[0009] The safety lock consists of a solenoid actuator that acts directly on the lever of an emergency device in transport vehicles.

[0010] The safety lock ensures that the emergency device for opening folding / tilting doors in public transport vehicles is not used accidentally or unnecessarily, preventing accidents inside the vehicle.

[0014] Functional improvement of the proposed model

[0015]

[0011] The new constructive arrangement introduced in a safety lock for an emergency device in transport vehicles, proposed by this utility model, results in the following functional improvement:

[0016] - The emergency devices for operating doors in public transport vehicles in the state of the art do not have a safety lock that prevents accidental or unnecessary activation of the emergency device, which could cause accidents inside the vehicle. This is solved by means of a lock consisting of a solenoid that, when energized, prevents the movement of the emergency device;

[0017] - The safety locks in the prior art are fixed to levers connected to the operating lever, requiring several elements to lock the emergency device, demanding a large space and incurring high costs. This configuration makes the installation of the safety lock difficult. This is solved by the present model through a solenoid actuator that directly limits the travel of the emergency device lever.

[0018] List of attached drawings

[0019]

[0012] In order for the present model to be fully understood and put into practice by any technician in this technological sector, it is described in a clear, precise and sufficient manner, based on the attached drawings listed below, which illustrate ways of implementing the safety lock for emergency devices in transport vehicles:

[0020] Figure 1 - Perspective view of the safety lock for emergency devices in transport vehicles; and

[0021] Figure 2 - exploded perspective view of the safety lock for emergency devices in transport vehicles.

[0022] Model description

[0023]

[0013] Figures 1 and 2 illustrate the new constructive arrangement introduced in a safety lock for an emergency device in transport vehicles, coupled to an electronic door movement mechanism (M).

[0024]

[0014] Electronic door movement mechanisms (M) are commonly coupled to folding / tilting doors found in public transport vehicles, such as buses.

[0025]

[0015] The mechanism consists of at least one structure (E) to which an electric actuator (A) is coupled with a drive gear (MT) that drives the movement rods of the tilting / folding doors of a transport vehicle.

[0026]

[0016] Said electric actuator (A) is usually connected to the vehicle's electrical system. In case of an electrical failure, the vehicle door is locked, making it necessary to attach an emergency device to the doors so that it can be opened without using electrical power.

[0027]

[0017] The emergency device is fixed to the structure (E) and couples to the drive gear (MT). The device consists of an emergency lever (AE) that moves in a pivoting manner and acts directly on the drive gear, moving it vertically.

[0028]

[0018] The model lock acts to limit the lever's travel (AE), preventing it from being activated.

[0029]

[0019] The lock consists of a solenoid actuator (1) connected to an aluminum locking piece (2), fixed by means of a thread, at the end of the solenoid shaft (11).

[0030]

[0020] Said solenoid (1) is enclosed in a housing (12) with holes (121) for fixing. A fixing plate (3) is attached, in its upper portion, to the housing (12). The plate (3) contains holes (31) corresponding to the holes (121) and, through a fixing element, the plate (3) is fixed to the housing (12). Said plate (3) also contains, in its lower portion, holes (32) corresponding to holes present in the structure (E) of the mechanism (M), thus, through fixing elements, the plate (3) is attached to the structure (E) and, consequently, fixes the solenoid (1) to the mechanism (M).

[0031]

[0021] Attached to the lever (AE), via fastening elements, the lock has a plate (5) that activates an electrical switch (4) connected to the vehicle's electronic system. When the lever (AE) is activated, the plate (5) will activate the switch (4), sending a signal to the bus's panel so that the driver knows that the emergency is activated.

[0032]

[0022] To enable the solenoid (1) to be activated, it has electrical wires that energize the lock, normally connected to the vehicle's electrical system. However, it can be connected to a parallel system, provided that the driver / operator can control its activation.

[0033]

[0023] The lock works as follows:

[0034]

[0024] When the solenoid actuator (1) is not energized, its shaft remains in the rest position, with the locking piece (2) close to the housing (12), allowing movement of the lever (AE); When the solenoid actuator is energized, the actuator shaft moves in order to position the locking piece (2) in the path of the lever (AE), preventing the device from being activated.
