[0008] Patent Document 2: Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2015-120682 Summary of the invention

[0009] Problems to be solved by the invention

[0010] Particles mixed in emulsified cosmetics are sometimes subjected to hydrophobic treatment in order to improve the compatibility with the skin, etc. In oil-in-water emulsified cosmetics, the particles subjected to hydrophobic treatment are generally mixed in the oil phase (oil droplets).

[0011] If cosmetics in such a state are applied to the skin, oil droplets tend to be adsorbed near the skin mounds with high surface activity. On the other hand, the adsorbed oil droplets containing hydrophobized particles move to the skin grooves until the water dries up, causing uneven distribution of particles, sometimes causing undesirable conditions such as darkening of the texture or powder floating. For example, in order to achieve a brightening effect to brighten the skin tone, when larger pigment-grade particles with hydrophobized treatment are used, this tendency becomes more pronounced, and there is a possibility that uneven brightening may occur due to the pigment-grade particles with darkened texture.

[0012] Therefore, the subject of the present disclosure is to provide an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic comprising pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and hydrophobized fine particles, which can uniformly apply hydrophobized particles to the surface of the skin to achieve a good brightening effect.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0043] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail. The present disclosure is not limited to the following embodiments, and various modifications can be made within the scope of the gist of the invention.

[0044] The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic disclosed herein comprises a dispersion medium containing water and pigment-grade hydrophobized particles having an average particle size of 300 nm or more, and oil droplets dispersed in the dispersion medium comprise oil, a nonionic surfactant, a polyol, and hydrophobized particles having an average particle size of 200 nm or less, wherein the oil comprises volatile oil.

[0045] Although not limited by the principle, it is considered that the working principle of the cosmetic of the present disclosure can evenly apply the hydrophobicized particles to the surface of the skin and can exhibit the brightening effect and the like as follows.

[0046] In the case of obtaining an emulsified cosmetic containing hydrophobized particles, the hydrophobized particles are generally mixed in the oil phase because they are hydrophobic. However, the present inventors have found that among the hydrophobized particles, if large-sized pigment-grade particles are mixed in the water phase side, and smaller hydrophobized particles are mixed in the oil phase side, and volatile oil is used as the oil component, then surprisingly, when an oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic containing these particles is applied to the skin, these particles are uniformly applied to the surface of the skin, and the brightening effect and the like are improved.

[0047] If the oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic of the present disclosure is applied to the skin, Figure 1 As shown in (b), the larger pigment-grade hydrophobized particles 40 and the oil droplets are adsorbed on the generally hydrophobic skin 50. Then, it is believed that the oil 20 in the oil droplets moves from the vicinity of the skin hillock to the direction of the skin groove until the moisture of the cosmetics dries up. The hydrophobic pigment-grade particles are easily compatible with the oil, so they do not reject the moved oil and are included in the oil. As a result, it can be believed that Figure 1 An oil film uniformly including the hydrophobized fine particles 30 and the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles 40 as shown in (c) is uniformly formed on the surface of the skin 50 .

[0048] However, even if such an oil film is temporarily formed, if the oil component 20 in the oil droplets does not contain volatile oil, the hydrophobized fine particles 30 and the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles 40 can move in the oil film over time, so that Figure 1As shown in (d) of FIG. 1 , in the skin grooves, etc., the particles may be unevenly distributed, causing the texture to deepen or powder to float. On the other hand, when the oil 20 in the oil droplets contains volatile oil, the volatile oil evaporates over time, and the amount of oil in the oil film decreases, so that it is difficult for these particles to move in the oil film. As a result, it is believed that these particles are Figure 1 As shown in (e), it can be uniformly adsorbed on the surface of the skin and stay. In addition, when the oil contains volatile oil and non-volatile oil, if the volatile oil evaporates and the amount of oil in the oil film decreases, it can be considered that the non-volatile oil itself is also attracted by the particles on the skin surface and can stay. As a result, since the movement of the non-volatile oil is suppressed, it can be considered that a uniform oil film is formed.

[0049] Thus, the cosmetics disclosed in the present invention can make each function brought by each particle of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and the hydrophobized microparticles, for example, brightening function and ultraviolet scattering function, well performed. In addition, since the cosmetics disclosed in the present invention can be mixed with non-volatile and organic ultraviolet absorbers as oil components in the oil film, the formation of a uniform oil film containing the ultraviolet absorber can also contribute to the improvement of ultraviolet protection effect (SPF). Compared with dispersing the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles in the inner phase (oil phase), dispersing them in the outer phase (water phase) can improve SPF.

[0050] Furthermore, even if the hydrophobized particles aggregate and coarsen in the oil droplets, the degree of coarsening is lower than that of aggregation of pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, so adverse effects such as color unevenness due to aggregated hydrophobized particles are unlikely to occur.

[0051] On the other hand, Figure 2 In the case of an emulsified cosmetic containing hydrophilic pigment-grade particles 45 in the water phase as shown, since the hydrophilic pigment-grade particles 45 have a tendency to repel the oil that has moved in, it is considered difficult to form a uniform oil film containing the hydrophobized microparticles 30 and the hydrophilic pigment-grade particles 45. In addition to being difficult to be compatible with hydrophobic skin, the hydrophilic pigment-grade particles are not applied to the skin surface together with the oil film, so it is considered that the powder is easily stuck or floated. As a result, when such a cosmetic is applied to the skin surface, there are parts where the hydrophobized microparticles are locally present or parts where the pigment-grade particles fall off from the skin, so it is considered that the various functions (such as brightening function and ultraviolet scattering function) brought by the hydrophobized microparticles and the pigment-grade particles cannot be fully expressed.

[0052] exist Figure 3In the case of an emulsified cosmetic in which both the hydrophobized microparticles 30 and the pigment-grade hydrophobized microparticles 40 are contained in the oil droplets, it is considered that the particles are more likely to aggregate with each other in the oil droplets. In particular, the aggregation of the pigment-grade hydrophobized microparticles is likely to cause uneven color or uneven brightening. Figure 3 The hydrophobized particles 30 are dispersed from the oil phase into the water phase, and the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles in the oil droplets are also prone to agglomeration. Therefore, it can be considered that the emulsified cosmetics containing hydrophobized particles in the water phase and pigment-grade hydrophobized particles in the oil phase are also prone to undesirable conditions such as uneven color or uneven brightening.

[0053] Furthermore, if the hydrophobized fine particles and the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles are simultaneously contained in oil droplets, even if a cosmetic containing such oil droplets is applied to the skin, the oil is attracted by the two hydrophobized particles, so that Figure 1 In this way, the oil content does not spread, and the two particles are locally arranged on the skin surface, so it is considered that the functions of the two particles cannot be fully exerted.

[0054] exist Figure 4 In the case of an emulsified cosmetic containing hydrophobized fine particles 30 and pigment-grade hydrophobized particles 40 in an aqueous phase as shown, since the hydrophobized particles are not easily dispersed in the aqueous phase, it is considered that the two particles are easily aggregated in the aqueous phase. As a result, the aggregated two particles are arranged on the skin surface, so it is considered that undesirable conditions such as uneven color or uneven brightening are likely to occur, and the functions of the two particles cannot be fully expressed.

[0055] In addition, the hydrophobized particles have a smaller particle size than the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, so the specific surface area becomes larger. As a result, if the hydrophobized particles are to be dispersed in the aqueous phase, a nonionic surfactant needs to be highly mixed compared to the case where only the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles are dispersed in the aqueous phase, so the stickiness associated with the nonionic surfactant is also easily generated.

[0057] 〈Dispersion Medium〉

[0058] The dispersion medium in the oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic disclosed herein contains water, pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, a nonionic surfactant, and a polyol.

[0059] (water)

[0060] There is no particular limitation on the amount of water to be blended, but for example, from the viewpoint of emulsion stability, etc., it may be 30% by mass or more, 40% by mass or more, 50% by mass or more, 60% by mass or more, 70% by mass or more, or 80% by mass or more, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic, and may be 90% by mass or less, 80% by mass or less, 70% by mass or less, or 60% by mass or less.

[0062] (Pigment grade hydrophobic treated particles)

[0063] The amount of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles to be blended is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected based on the desired effect (e.g., brightening effect) corresponding to the intended use. For example, the amount may be 0.5% by mass or more, 1.0% by mass or more, or 1.5% by mass or more, and may be 15% by mass or less, 12% by mass or less, 10% by mass or less, 8.0% by mass or less, 6.0% by mass or less, or 5.0% by mass or less, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic.

[0064] The cosmetics disclosed herein include pigment-grade hydrophobized particles in a dispersion medium. The pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and the hydrophobized microparticles described later can be distinguished by their size. That is, the so-called pigment-grade hydrophobized particles may refer to particles with an average particle size of more than 300nm that have been hydrophobized, and the so-called hydrophobized microparticles may refer to the average particle size smaller than the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, for example, the average particle size is 200nm or less that have been hydrophobized. Here, the average particle size of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and the hydrophobized microparticles described later in the present disclosure can be the size of primary particles or agglomerated secondary particles, which can be calculated by static light scattering.

[0065] The pigment-grade hydrophobized particles having an average particle size of 300 nm or more can achieve a brightening effect such as brightening the skin tone. The average particle size of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles can be appropriately selected in order to obtain the desired brightening effect, for example, it can be 300 nm or more, 350 nm or more, or 400 nm or more. There is no particular limitation on the upper limit of the average particle size of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, for example, it can be 800 nm or less, 700 nm or less, or 600 nm or less.

[0066] The hydrophobic treatment of the pigment-grade hydrophobic particles is not particularly limited, and any treatment that hydrophobizes the surface of such particles by modifying them with organic compounds can be cited, for example, silicone-based treatment or silane-based treatment using methyl hydrogen polysiloxane, dimethyl polysiloxane, alkyl silane, etc.; fluorine-based treatment using perfluoroalkyl phosphate, perfluoroalcohol, etc.; titanate-based treatment using alkyl titanate, etc.; amino acid treatment using N-acyl glutamic acid, etc., and lecithin treatment; metal soap treatment; fatty acid treatment; alkyl phosphate treatment, etc. can be cited. They can be used alone or in combination.

[0067] From the viewpoint of preventing the particles from being liberated, the hydrophobic treatment is preferably carried out using a reactive hydrophobic treatment agent such as silicone, a silane treatment agent, or a titanate treatment agent.

[0068] As such organosilicon of the hydrophobizing treatment agent, for example, known organosilicon having hydrogen-silicon bonds such as methyl hydrogen polysiloxane (polydimethylsiloxane / polymethylsiloxane) copolymers can be cited. In addition, triethoxysilylethyl polydimethylsiloxyethyl polydimethylsiloxane, triethoxysilylethyl polydimethylsiloxyethylhexyl polydimethylsiloxane, etc. having alkoxy-silicon bonds as reactive groups can also be cited. In addition, dimethylpolysiloxane can also be used.

[0069] Examples of the silane-based treatment agent include silylating agents and silane coupling agents into which an organic group is introduced, and an example thereof is triethoxyoctylsilane.

[0070] Examples of the titanate-based treatment agent include titanium coupling agents such as alkyl titanate, pyrophosphate-type titanate, phosphorous acid-type titanate, and amino acid-type titanate.

[0071] From the perspective of affinity to the skin, cost, etc., the hydrophobizing agent is preferably applied to the particles in a ratio of 2 mass %, 3 mass %, 5 mass %, 12 mass %, 10 mass %, or 8 mass % or less, relative to the total amount of the treated pigment-grade hydrophobizing particles.

[0072] As the type of particles constituting the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, there is no particular restriction, and it can be appropriately selected in order to obtain the desired brightening effect, etc. As examples of pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, inorganic particles, specifically inorganic oxide particles, for example, white inorganic oxide particles such as titanium oxide particles, zinc oxide particles, and cerium oxide particles (sometimes referred to as "inorganic white pigments"), etc. can be cited. In addition, in general, inorganic particles classified as pearlescent agents (bright pigments) or colorants can also be used as pigment-grade hydrophobized particles of the present disclosure. As pigment-grade hydrophobized particles of the present disclosure, organic particles can also be used. They can be used alone or in combination of two or more.

[0073] The term "pearlescent agent" in the present disclosure refers to particles that do not contain a colorant and exhibit a glossy property. Pearlescent agents typically have a flat plate-like form such as a flaky or scaly shape. In addition, the term "colorant" in the present disclosure refers to a material that exhibits a color other than white and does not contain a pearlescent agent and can make cosmetics color without exhibiting a glossy property. From the viewpoint of a brightening effect, when a pearlescent agent is used, it is preferably used in combination with inorganic oxide particles such as the above-mentioned titanium oxide particles, and when a colorant is used, it is preferably used in combination with inorganic oxide particles such as the above-mentioned titanium oxide particles and / or a pearlescent agent.

[0074] Examples of the pearlescent agent include mica titanium (mica titanium), iron oxide-coated mica titanium, carmine-coated mica titanium, carmine / navy-coated mica titanium, iron oxide / carmine-treated mica titanium, navy-treated mica titanium, iron oxide / navy-treated mica titanium, chromium oxide-treated mica titanium, black titanium oxide-treated mica titanium, acrylic resin-coated aluminum powder, silica-coated aluminum powder, titanium oxide-coated mica, titanium oxide-coated bismuth oxychloride, titanium oxide-coated talc, Colored titanium oxide-coated mica, titanium oxide-coated synthetic mica, titanium oxide-coated silica, titanium oxide-coated alumina, titanium oxide-coated glass powder, polyethylene terephthalate / polymethyl methacrylate laminated film powder, bismuth oxychloride, fish scale foil, iron oxide-coated mica such as iron oxide red titanium oxide-coated mica obtained by coating mica with iron oxide and titanium oxide, and hollow titanium oxide powder with silicon dioxide sandwiched between mica and titanium oxide coating layers. These are typically white or other colors.

[0075] As the pearlescent agent, a colorless pearlescent agent may also be used. As such a pearlescent agent, a known substance known as a transparent pearlescent agent (transparent bright pigment) may be used. For example, a pearlescent agent having glass particles as a base material and a coating formed on the surface thereof made of a high refractive index material such as titanium dioxide may be cited.

[0076] As the colorant, for example, an inorganic pigment can be used.

[0077] Examples of the inorganic pigment include inorganic red pigments (e.g., iron oxide (red iron oxide), iron titanate, etc.); inorganic brown pigments (e.g., γ-iron oxide, etc.); inorganic yellow pigments (e.g., yellow iron oxide, loess, etc.); inorganic black pigments (e.g., black iron oxide, low-valent titanium oxide, etc.); inorganic purple pigments (e.g., manganese violet, cobalt violet, etc.); inorganic green pigments (e.g., chromium oxide, chromium hydroxide, cobalt titanate, etc.); inorganic blue pigments (e.g., ultramarine, navy blue, etc.); metal powders (e.g., aluminum, gold, silver, copper, etc.), etc.

[0078] (Nonionic surfactant)

From the perspective of its performance, it can be considered that the nonionic surfactant is present in the dispersion medium, the surface of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, and the interface of the oil droplets described later, but it can be considered that in the aqueous phase, it contributes to the dispersion stability of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles.

[0080] As nonionic surfactants, there are no particular restrictions, and nonionic surfactants with HLB of, for example, 10.0 or more, 12.0 or more, or 14.0 or more, or 16.0 or less, 15.5 or less, or 15.0 or less can be used. Nonionic surfactants having such HLB can further improve the emulsification stability of oil droplets and the dispersion stability of pigment-grade hydrophobized particles in the aqueous phase. Among them, nonionic surfactants with HLB of 14.0 to 16.0 are preferred. In addition, in some embodiments, the cosmetics of the present disclosure can be used in combination with nonionic surfactants with HLB less than 10.0, for example, HLB of 9.0 or less or 8.5 or less, 3.0 or more, 3.5 or more, or 4.0 or more. Here, as the nonionic surfactant, the above-mentioned nonionic surfactant can be used in the same manner. In addition, the above-mentioned polyol can be contained in the oil droplets.

[0099] (oil content)

[0100] The content of the oil in the oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited, and for example, it may be 10% by mass or more, 12% by mass or more, 15% by mass or more, 17% by mass or more, 20% by mass or more, 22% by mass or more, or 25% by mass or less, and may be 50% by mass or less, 40% by mass or less, 30% by mass or less, or 25% by mass or less, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic.

Here, the so-called IOB value is an abbreviation of Inorganic / Organic Balance, which is a value indicating the ratio of the inorganic value to the organic value, and becomes an index showing the degree of polarity of the organic compound. Specifically, the IOB value is expressed as IOB value = inorganic value / organic value. Regarding the "inorganic value" and "organic value", for example, the "inorganic value" of a carbon atom in a molecule is set to 20, and the "inorganic value" of a hydroxyl group is set to 100, and the "inorganic value" corresponding to various atoms or functional groups is set. By accumulating the "inorganic value" and "organic value" of all atoms and functional groups in the organic compound, the IOB value of the organic compound can be calculated (see, for example, Yoshio Koda, "Organic Concept Map - Basics and Applications", pp. 11-17, Sankyo Publishing, 1984).

[0131] 《Method for preparing oil-in-water emulsified cosmetics》

[0132] The method for preparing the oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic of the present disclosure is not particularly limited, and the cosmetic can be prepared by, for example, a known method such as a dispersion method or an aggregation method.

[0133] The so-called dispersion method is a method of finely dividing the mass of the dispersed phase by mechanical force. The cosmetics applied surface was visually observed and the brightening state was evaluated according to the following criteria. Here, those that achieved A to B evaluations were considered qualified, and C evaluations were considered unqualified. In addition to the brightening effect, this brightening test can also indirectly evaluate whether the pigment-grade hydrophobic treated particles and hydrophobic treated microparticles are evenly applied to the skin surface. That is, it can be said that the particles are evenly applied to the skin surface in the order of C, B, and A.

[0147] A: There is no unevenness in brightness, and an excellent brightening effect is achieved.

[0148] B: Brightness is slightly uneven, but a good brightening effect is achieved.

[0149] C: Brightness is obviously uneven, and a good brightening effect cannot be obtained.

[0150] (Evaluation of Particle Dispersibility)

[0151] The prepared cosmetic was placed in a 50 mL transparent sample tube (3 cm in diameter), and the dispersion state of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and hydrophobized fine particles after storage at 25° C. for 7 days was visually observed and evaluated based on the following criteria.

[0152] A: No precipitate of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles or hydrophobized fine particles was observed.

[0153] B: Precipitation of pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and hydrophobized fine particles was slightly observed.

[0154] C: Precipitation of pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and hydrophobized fine particles was clearly observed.

[0155] (Rolling stability evaluation)

[0156] The prepared cosmetic was added to a 50 mL transparent sample tube (3 cm in diameter), and the sample tube was rotated at 45 rpm for 4 hours in an atmosphere of 25°C. The aggregation state of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and the hydrophobized fine particles was visually observed and evaluated according to the following criteria.

[0161] (Evaluation of usability)

[0162] Five professional panelists applied the prepared cosmetics to the skin and evaluated the smoothness, stickiness, powdery feeling, etc. during and after application according to the following evaluation criteria.

[0163] A: 5 people answered that they did not feel sticky or powdery, and felt that the product felt smooth during use.

[0164] B: 3 to 4 people answered that they did not feel sticky or powdery, but felt a smooth feel during use.

[0165] C: 0 to 2 people answered that they did not feel sticky or powdery, but felt a smooth feel during use.

[0166] (Evaluation of viscosity)

[0167] The viscosity of the cosmetics was evaluated using a B-type viscometer (TVB-type viscometer TVB-10, manufactured by Toki Sangyo Co., Ltd.) under the conditions of rotor number 3, 30°C, and 12 rpm. The viscosity was measured on the day after the cosmetics were prepared. In addition, the cosmetics of Comparative Examples 1 and 5 precipitated due to poor dispersibility of the particles, so the viscosity of these cosmetics was not measured.

[0183] After adding materials No. 2 to No. 4 to the ion exchange water of No. 1 and uniformly mixing them, materials No. 5 to No. 9 and No. 12 were uniformly mixed to obtain an aqueous phase.

[0184] The materials of Nos. 18 to 21, the hydrophobized fine particles of No. 28, and the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles of No. 29 were uniformly mixed to obtain an oil phase.

[0185] After the oil phase was gradually added to the water phase, materials No. 22 to No. 27 were gradually added to prepare a mixed solution. Next, a dispersion of silicon dioxide No. 11 dispersed in ethanol No. 10 was gradually added to the mixed solution and uniformly dispersed using a dispenser to obtain an oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic of Comparative Example 4.

[0186] (Comparative Example 5: System in which pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and hydrophobized fine particles are mixed in a water phase (external phase))

[0187] After adding materials No. 2 to No. 4 to a part of the ion exchange water of No. 1 and uniformly mixing, materials No. 5 and a part of No. 6 and materials No. 7 to No. 9 were uniformly mixed to obtain an aqueous phase.

[0188] The materials of No. 18 to No. 21 were uniformly mixed to obtain an oil phase.

[0189] The remainder of No. 6, the nonionic surfactant of No. 12, the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles of No. 13, and the hydrophobized fine particles of No. 16 were uniformly mixed with the remaining ion-exchanged water of No. 1 to obtain a powder portion.

[0190] After the oil phase was slowly added to the water phase, materials No. 22 to No. 27 were slowly added to prepare a mixed solution. Next, a dispersion of silicon dioxide No. 11 dispersed in ethanol No. 10 was slowly added to the mixed solution, and then the powder part was slowly added and uniformly dispersed using a dispenser to obtain the oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic of Comparative Example 5.

[0191] (Examples 8 to 13 and Comparative Example 6)

[0192] Oil-in-water emulsified cosmetics of Examples 8 to 13 and Comparative Example 6 were obtained in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the formulation was changed to that shown in Table 3. The oil components of Nos. 24 to 27 were blended during the preparation of the oil phase.

[0195] As is clear from Table 1, the cosmetics of Examples 1 to 7 in which the aqueous phase contains pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, the oil phase contains hydrophobized microparticles, and the oil component contains volatile oil, exhibit excellent brightening performance. Therefore, it can be confirmed that these cosmetics can evenly apply an oil film containing pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, hydrophobized microparticles, and an ultraviolet absorber (oil component) to the skin surface.

[0196] When the cosmetics of Example 1 and Example 5 are compared, it can be seen that the cosmetic of Example 1, in which the mass ratio of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles to the polyether-modified silicone as a nonionic surfactant is greater than 8:29, is excellent in brightening property and rolling stability, and is less likely to cause adverse conditions related to usability, especially stickiness. In addition, when the cosmetics of Example 5 and Example 6 are compared, it can also be seen that the cosmetic of Example 6, in which the mass ratio of the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles to the polyether-modified silicone is greater than 8:11, is less likely to cause adverse conditions related to stickiness. It is believed that the increase in the amount of nonionic surfactant used affects the stickiness.

[0197] From the results of Example 7, it was confirmed that even polyols other than 1,3-butanediol are excellent in performance such as brightening property.

[0198] On the other hand, in the cosmetic of Comparative Example 1 in which the aqueous phase contained hydrophobized fine particles having an average particle size of 100 nm smaller than the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, the particles precipitated and good brightening properties and usability could not be obtained.

[0199] Furthermore, if the cosmetic of Comparative Example 2 in which the aqueous phase contains hydrophobized microparticles having an average particle size of 260 nm, which is smaller than the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, is compared with the cosmetic of Example 1 in which the aqueous phase contains pigment-grade hydrophobized particles having an average particle size of 300 nm, it is clear that the cosmetic of Comparative Example 2 is inferior in all properties of brightening, particle dispersibility, rolling stability, and usability.

[0203] Figure 2 The cosmetic of Comparative Example 3 in which the pigment-grade hydrophilic particles are mixed in the water phase (external phase) and the hydrophobized fine particles are mixed in the oil phase (internal phase) as shown, Figure 3 The cosmetic of Comparative Example 4 in which the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and the hydrophobized fine particles are mixed in the oil phase (internal phase) as shown, and Figure 4 The cosmetic of Comparative Example 5 in which the pigment-grade hydrophobized particles and the hydrophobized fine particles are mixed in the water phase (external phase) as shown above cannot obtain good whitening properties.

[0204]

[0205] <result>

[0206] The results of Comparative Example 6 clearly show that even if a cosmetic containing only fixed oil and not volatile oil is applied to the skin and the moisture is dried, the particles move and the particles are not evenly applied to the skin, thus confirming that a good brightening effect cannot be obtained. On the other hand, it is known that a cosmetic containing volatile oil can obtain a good brightening effect regardless of the type of pigment-grade hydrophobized particles.

[0207] Comparison between Example 1 and Example 10 clearly shows that the brightening property, rolling stability, and usability are improved when the proportion of volatile oil in the oil component increases. The same tendency is shown in Examples 11 and 13, and it can be confirmed that the brightening property is improved when the proportion of volatile oil in the oil component increases in the formulation containing the pearlescent agent.

[0208] Comparison between Example 8 and Example 9 clearly shows that, as pigment-grade hydrophobized particles, the use of a pearlescent agent and inorganic oxide particles such as hydrophobized titanium oxide particles together improves brightening properties compared to the use of a pearlescent agent alone.
