Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a leg assembly for a seating unit and to a seating unit comprising the leg assembly. Background Art
[0002] In the prior art, a variety of movable seat units are known, such as sofas or seats with multi-position conversion functions. With the improvement of people's living standards, the requirements for the safety of sofas and seats are also increasing. In the known design, the movable seat unit is usually equipped with a mechanical extension device, which can be transformed between a sitting position, a leisure position (or a TV position) and a lying position. When the seat unit is transformed from a sitting position to a TV position, the footrest of the seat unit extends forward, and the angle between the backrest and the seat portion remains basically unchanged. When the seat unit is transformed from a TV position to a lying position, the footrest is further forward and upward than the TV position, and the backrest is significantly tilted back. During the above-mentioned posture change process, the internal components of the mechanical extension device, such as connecting rods, drives, etc., will be exposed due to the outward extension of the footrest. This will lead to the risk of the user being pinched or foreign objects falling into the seat unit.
[0003] To this end, various methods are adopted in the existing seat unit designs to avoid the above risks. For example, a hard baffle is set in the activity area of the leg unit to close the space area occupied by the leg unit in the TV position or the lying position. However, the hard baffle is limited by the material properties and cannot flexibly and completely cover the gap exposed by the leg unit. In addition, for example, a covering material is completely set from the outside of the seat unit. However, this design method does not have an advantage in terms of material cost and cannot be widely applied to various types of seat units. Summary of the invention
[0004] In view of this, the technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a movable seat with a simpler structure and easier assembly.
[0005] In order to solve the technical problem, a leg assembly for a seat unit is provided, which at least comprises:
[0006] - a pair of leg longitudinal beams extending in the fore-aft direction of the seat unit;
[0007] - a pair of leg slide bars slidably movable relative to the leg longitudinal beams in the fore-and-aft direction of the seat unit;
[0008] - a leg rest pivotally connected to the front end of the leg slide bar, and
[0009] a restoring device comprising a reel and a curtain accommodated in the reel in a retracted and restoring manner, wherein the restoring device is fixedly connected on the one hand relative to the leg longitudinal beam and on the other hand to the inner side of the leg rest,
[0010] The leg assembly is capable of transforming between a retracted position and an extended position, wherein in the retracted position, the leg sliding rod is retracted into the leg longitudinal beam, and the leg rest is folded at the front end of the leg longitudinal beam; in the extended position, the leg sliding rod extends forward from the leg longitudinal beam, and the leg rest is unfolded forward relative to the leg longitudinal beam.
[0011] During the transformation of the leg assembly from the retracted position to the extended position, the curtain is unfolded outward from the reel against the restoring force, thereby covering the leg sliding rod extending forward from the leg longitudinal beam and causing the leg rest to flip forward.
[0012] According to the present invention, the curtain of the reset device is retracted and reset in the winding roller, which means that the reset device has a reset tendency to automatically retract the curtain into the winding roller. This reset tendency can be achieved by a variety of known principles, such as by means of a reset spring. When the curtain is unfolded outward from the winding roller, the curtain is stretched under the stress caused by the reset force, so that the two ends of the reset device, i.e., the end fixedly connected to the leg longitudinal beam and the end fixedly connected to the inner side of the leg rest, are exerted with a pulling force moving in opposite directions, so that the leg rest is caused to flip forward while the curtain itself is unfolded.
[0013] This not only utilizes the curtain to cover the leg sliding rod extending forward from the leg longitudinal beam, avoiding the risk of the internal space being exposed and foreign objects falling into it, but also gradually flips the legrest board through the pulling force brought about thereby, thereby improving the comfort of use.
[0014] In a preferred embodiment, during the transformation of the leg assembly from the extended position to the retracted position, the curtain is retracted into the reel under the action of a restoring force.
[0015] Contrary to the transformation process from the retracted position to the extended position, when the leg sliding rod is retracted into the leg longitudinal beam, the restoring force applied by the restoring device gradually decreases, thereby allowing the leg rest to gradually return to the original position and flip over until the leg rest rests with its inner side against the front end of the leg longitudinal beam.
[0016] In a preferred embodiment, the leg assembly includes a legrest connecting rod, which is pivotally connected to the front end of the leg sliding rod and fixedly connected to the legrest, so that the legrest is pivotally connected to the leg sliding rod around a pivot axis by means of the legrest connecting rod. The winding roller is fixedly connected relative to the leg longitudinal beam, and the free end of the curtain is fixedly connected to the inner side of the legrest at the curtain fixing point.
[0017] However, in alternative embodiments it is also conceivable that the free end of the curtain is connected in a fixed manner relative to the leg longitudinal beam and that the winding roller is fixedly connected to the inner side of the leg rest.
[0018] In a preferred embodiment, during the transformation of the leg assembly between the retracted position and the extended position, the curtain fixing point is always located above the pivot axis. Preferably, in the extended position of the leg assembly, the distance between the curtain fixing point and the winding roller is smaller than the distance between the pivot axis and the winding roller. Thus, the tension applied by the curtain at the fixing point on the inner side of the legrest forms a greater torque, considering the pivot axis as a fulcrum, so as to more effectively lift the legrest upward with reference to the end of the pivot axis away from the curtain fixing point, thereby realizing the forward flipping of the legrest.
[0019] In a preferred embodiment, the width of the curtain is not less than the distance between the pair of leg longitudinal beams. Thus, the curtain at least covers the gap between the leg longitudinal beams to prevent foreign objects from falling in or causing injuries to the user.
[0020] In a preferred embodiment, the leg longitudinal beam includes a guide rail extending in the front-rear direction of the seat unit.
[0021] In an alternative embodiment, the leg longitudinal beam includes a guide groove extending in the front-rear direction of the seat unit.
[0022] Accordingly, the matching structure of the leg sliding rod can be adjusted according to the configuration of the leg longitudinal beam. For example, when the leg longitudinal beam includes a guide rail, the leg longitudinal beam can include a sliding block matched therewith; when the leg longitudinal beam includes a guide groove, the leg longitudinal beam can also additionally include a roller or a latch matched therewith.
[0023] In a preferred embodiment, the winding roller includes at least one winding roller fixing part, and the curtain is provided with at least one curtain fixing part at its free end. Preferably, a winding roller fixing part can be provided at each of the two ends of the winding roller in the lateral direction of the seat unit, and a curtain fixing part can be provided centrally on the free end of the curtain. The winding fixing part and the curtain fixing part can be implemented in a variety of ways, such as being constructed as a hanging eye for a hook to pass through, a perforated tab for a pin or a rivet to pass through, a threaded hole for connection with a bolt, etc. Of course, connection methods such as bonding and welding can also be considered.
[0024] In a preferred embodiment, the curtain is made of a flexible material. Thus, the curtain can not only be conveniently accommodated, such as being wound up in a winding roller, but can also be better adapted to a variety of seat unit types.
[0025] In order to solve the technical problem, the present invention also relates to a seat unit, which at least comprises:
[0026] - a seat unit comprising a seat frame for attaching a seat part; and
[0027] - A leg assembly as claimed in any one of the preceding claims.
[0028] Of course, the seat unit may also comprise a backrest unit and an optional base unit.
[0029] In a preferred embodiment, the leg longitudinal beam is directly or indirectly fixedly connected to the seat frame.
[0030] In a preferred embodiment, the resetting device is fixedly connected to the front end of the leg longitudinal beam on the one hand, and is fixedly connected to the inner side of the leg rest on the other hand.
[0031] In a preferred embodiment, the resetting device is fixedly connected to the bottom side of the seat frame on the one hand, and is fixedly connected to the inner side of the legrest on the other hand. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

It should be understood that the data used in this way can be interchanged where appropriate, so that the embodiments of the present invention described herein can be implemented in an order other than those illustrated or described herein.
[0043] In addition, it should be noted that the "front-rear direction" in this application refers to the extension direction of the seat unit, especially the leg assembly of the seat unit. Specifically, "front" refers to the direction toward the leg assembly, and "rear" refers to the direction toward the backrest unit. "Left-right direction" or "transverse" or "lateral" refers to the direction of the seat unit in the horizontal direction that is perpendicular to the "front-rear direction".
[0044] Figure 1 , Figure 2 and Figures 5 to 7 A seat unit according to an embodiment of the present invention is exemplarily shown. Figure 1 As shown, the chair unit includes a base unit 1 , a seat unit 2 , a backrest unit 3 , a leg assembly 4 and a leg actuator 47 .
[0045] The seat unit may be a seat unit with floor-standing armrests. Accordingly, the base unit 1 has a pair of fixing plates 12 extending longitudinally in the front-rear direction of the seat unit, a rear base crossbeam 13 and a front base crossbeam 14 extending transversely between the two fixing plates 12. Figure 1For the sake of simplicity, the fixing plate 12 on one side is omitted, and only one fixing plate 12 is shown. The fixing plate 12 is fixedly connected to the inner side of the armrest mounting plate fixedly connected to the armrest portion of the seat unit by means of riveting, threaded connection, etc., and the fixing plate 12 is fixedly connected to the rear base crossbeam 13 and the front base crossbeam 14 respectively. In order to further improve the stability of the base unit 1, a front base crossbeam 14 is also provided at the front of the fixing plate 12, and the front base crossbeam 14 extends between the fixing plates 12 in the transverse direction and is fixedly connected thereto. Here, the fixing plate 12, the connecting strip 11, the rear base crossbeam 13, and the front base crossbeam 14 are, for example, independent components that can be fixedly connected respectively, but two or more of the fixing plate 12, the rear base crossbeam 13, and the front base crossbeam 14 can also be constructed as an integrated component.
[0046] However, alternatively, in an embodiment not shown, the base unit 1 may also have other structures, such as a base unit constructed as an iron frame floor-standing type, wherein the fixing plate 12 is not fixedly attached to the inner side of the armrest portion, but a plurality of legs for supporting on the ground extend downward from the fixing plate 12; or the base unit does not have the fixing plate 12, but includes a rotating bracket rotatably supported on the ground.
[0047] The seat unit 2 includes a pair of seat bearing assemblies that can move along the front-rear direction of the seat unit relative to the base unit 1. The seat bearing assembly includes an upper seat longitudinal beam 21 extending along the front-rear direction of the seat unit, a lower seat longitudinal beam 24, a front seat connecting rod 22 and a rear seat connecting rod 23 respectively fixedly connected to the upper seat longitudinal beam 21 and the lower seat longitudinal beam 24, wherein the rear portion of the upper seat longitudinal beam 21 includes two upwardly directed protrusions, namely, a front seat frame protrusion 21a and a rear seat frame protrusion 21b. Thus, a shape-stable frame structure is formed.
[0048] like Figure 5 and Figure 6 As shown, the top side of the upper seat longitudinal beam 21 is fixedly connected to the seat frame 20, wherein the seat frame 20 is attached to the seat part not shown. The seat unit 2 is movably connected relative to the base unit 1 by means of a linkage mechanism. However, in an alternative embodiment, the seat unit 2 can also be configured to always maintain a constant relative position relative to the base unit 1.
[0049] The backrest unit 3 is designed for mounting a backrest (not specifically shown) of a seat unit.
[0050] Preferably, the backrest unit 3 is configured to be movable relative to the seat unit 2 ; however, in an embodiment not shown, the backrest unit 3 may also be configured to always maintain a constant relative position relative to the seat unit 2 .
[0051] Preferably, the backrest unit 3 includes a backrest bracket 31, a first backrest link 32 and a second backrest link 33. The backrest bracket 31 is substantially L-shaped and can be pivotally connected relative to the upper seat frame longitudinal beam 21, wherein the front end of the backrest bracket 31 is pivotally connected to the front seat frame protrusion 21a; the second backrest link 33 is configured as a crank member, including three pivot points, namely, a pivot point located in the middle of the crank member and two pivot points located at the two ends of the crank member. Thus, the second backrest link 33 is pivotally connected with the lower end of the first backrest link 32 at its upper end, the upper end of the first backrest link 32 is pivotally connected to the middle of the backrest bracket 31, and the second backrest link 33 is pivotally connected to the rear seat frame protrusion 21b by means of the pivot point in the middle. In addition, the backrest unit 3 also includes an auxiliary backrest link 34, one end of which is connected to the lower end of the second backrest link 33 and the other end is pivotally connected to the base unit 1.
[0052] In this embodiment, when the seat unit 2 moves in the front-rear direction of the chair unit, the backrest bracket 31 reclines and tilts accordingly.
[0053] According to the present invention, the leg assembly 4 includes a pair of leg longitudinal beams 40, a leg cross beam 41 transversely connected between the leg longitudinal beams 40, a pair of leg sliding rods 42, and a leg rest 43 connected to the leg sliding rods, wherein the leg sliding rods 42 cooperate with the leg longitudinal beams 40 in a slidable and guiding manner, so that the leg sliding rods 42 can drive the leg rest 43 to move along the leg longitudinal beams 40 in the front and rear direction of the seat unit.
[0054] The sliding guidance between the leg longitudinal beam 40 and the leg sliding rod 42 can be achieved in various ways.
[0055] Preferably, the leg longitudinal beam 40 is constructed as a sliding rail member, wherein the leg longitudinal beam 40 includes a guide rail having a C-shaped cross-section; accordingly, the leg sliding rod 42 includes a slider at its rear end, so that the leg sliding rod 42 is shape-fittingly and movably embedded in the guide rail of the leg longitudinal beam 40, thereby realizing sliding guidance of the leg sliding rod 42 in the leg longitudinal beam 40, thereby realizing the transformation of the leg assembly 4 between the retracted position and the extended position.
[0056] The leg longitudinal beam 40 includes at least two mounting tabs, namely a front mounting tab 48a and a rear mounting tab 48b respectively located at the front and rear ends thereof. In this embodiment, the mounting tabs are respectively constructed as bent parts protruding inward from the front and rear ends of the leg longitudinal beam 40, and have rivet holes or threaded holes for rivets or bolts to pass through. The front mounting tab 48a and the rear mounting tab 48b jointly define a mounting plane, which is used to fix the leg assembly 4 to the bottom side of the seat frame 20 from below the seat unit.
[0057] The legrest 43 is generally constructed as a plate-like member extending over at least part of the transverse width of the seat unit. The leg sliding rod 42 is slidably embedded in the leg longitudinal beam 40 at its rear end and connected to the legrest 43 at its front end. Preferably, the leg sliding rod 42 is connected to the legrest 43 by means of a legrest connecting rod 45 arranged at its front end. Figure 8 As shown, the legrest link 45 is constructed to have an L-shaped cross-section, one side of which is pivotally connected to the leg sliding rod 42 and the other side is fixedly connected to the legrest 43, so that the legrest 43 can pivot relative to the leg sliding rod 42 around the pivot axis 45a.
[0058] In order to achieve the movement synchronization of the leg sliding rods 42, a guide beam 44 is transversely connected between the leg sliding rods 42. Preferably, the connection between the leg sliding rods 42 and the guide beam 44 is achieved by welding, riveting, threaded connection, etc. The guide beam 44 is located in front of the leg beam 41.
[0059] The leg assembly 4 can be Figure 1 The retracted position shown is Figure 2 In the retracted position, the leg sliding rod 42 is retracted in the leg longitudinal beam 40, and the leg rest 43 is folded at the front end of the leg longitudinal beam 40; in the extended position, the leg sliding rod 42 extends forward from the leg longitudinal beam 40, and the leg rest 43 is deployed forward relative to the leg longitudinal beam 40.
[0060] The leg assembly 4 further includes a reset member reset device 7, which includes a winding roller 70 and a curtain 71. The winding roller 70 is slender in structure, and winding roller fixing members 72 are respectively provided at both ends of the winding roller in the length direction, and there is an internal space inside the winding roller that can partially accommodate the curtain 71. In order to enable the curtain 71 to be automatically reset and recovered into the winding roller 70, the reset device 7 includes a reset device not shown in the figure, such as a reset spring. Since the structure and principle of such a reset spring are known, they are not described here. The curtain 71 is flexibly constructed, preferably made of flexible fabric.
[0061] In such Figure 3 In the reset device 7 shown in FIG. 1 , the curtain 71 is accommodated in the reel 70 in a retracted and reset state, wherein the curtain fixing member 73 arranged on the free end of the curtain 71 extends from the reel 70; Figure 4 In the shown resetting device 7 , the curtain 71 is pulled out from the winding roller 70 .
[0062] The restoring device 7 is arranged between a pair of leg longitudinal beams 40 of the leg assembly 4 , wherein the width of the curtain 71 is at least not less than the distance between the leg longitudinal beams 40 .
[0063] Especially Figure 5 and Figure 6 As shown, the reel 70 of the reset device 7 is fixedly connected to the front mounting tab 48a of the front end of the leg longitudinal beam 40 by means of its two reel-roll fixing members 72; alternatively, when the seat frame 20 of the seat unit is fixedly connected to the leg longitudinal beam 40, the reel 70 can also be fixedly connected to the bottom side of the seat frame 20 by means of its two reel-roll fixing members 72. The curtain 71 is fixedly connected to the inner side of the leg rest 43 at the curtain fixing point P1 by means of its curtain fixing members 73.
[0064] The leg actuator 47 is preferably configured as a linear actuator acting between the leg cross beam 41 and the guide cross beam 44. By adjusting the leg actuator 47, the distance between the guide cross beam 44 and the leg cross beam 41 is increased or decreased, thereby achieving the forward and backward sliding of the leg sliding rod 42 in the leg longitudinal beam 40.
[0065] When the distance between the guide crossbeam 44 and the leg crossbeam 41 increases, the leg sliding rod 42 extends outward from the front end of the leg longitudinal beam 40, thereby driving the curtain 71 to extend outward from the reel 70. The curtain 71 is tightened under the action of the reset force, so that the tension applied to the legrest 43 at the curtain fixing point P1 pulls it toward the reel 70 located at the front end of the leg longitudinal beam 40, so that the legrest 43 is turned forward while the curtain 71 itself is unfolded, thereby achieving Figure 2 Conversely, when the distance between the guide crossbeam 44 and the leg crossbeam 41 decreases, the leg sliding rod 42 retracts to the leg longitudinal beam 40, and the restoring force applied by the restoring device gradually decreases, thereby allowing the legrest 43 to gradually return to the original position and flip over until the legrest 43 is abutted against the front end of the leg longitudinal beam with its inner side, thereby achieving Figure 1 Shown in retracted position.
[0066] In order to make the movement process of the leg assembly 4 between the retracted position and the extended position more reliable, the curtain predetermined point P1 should always be higher than the pivot axis 45a during the above-mentioned change process. Figure 8 As shown, in the extended position of the leg assembly 4, the distance L1 between the curtain fixing point P1 and the winding roller 70 is smaller than the distance L2 between the pivot axis 45a and the winding roller 70. This prevents the legrest 43 from accidentally falling down.
[0067] The leg assembly 4 is modularly constructed as a whole, and can be widely applied to various types of seat units.
