Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a linear motor. Background Art

[0002] Generally, a linear motor has a structure that generates thrust between a mover and a stator that face each other in a straight line. A permanent magnet type linear motor is constructed in such a way that a fixed magnet is arranged at one of the mover and the stator and AC multiphase power is applied to the other to generate an electromagnetic force between the motor and the stator to generate thrust in a predetermined direction.

[0003] Most conventional linear motors have a structure in which magnetic flux from the salient poles of the armature core passes through permanent magnets and a yoke to form a closed magnetic circuit and generate attractive and repulsive forces that produce thrust; therefore, in most cases, permanent magnets are placed between the salient poles and the yoke and attached to the yoke.

[0004] The inventor of the present disclosure disclosed a linear motor with a new structure, whose application number is KR 10-2010-0081522, wherein the linear motor includes a first component and a second component, the first component has a plurality of armature modules arranged in a row along the moving direction, and the second component has one or more permanent magnet modules, the permanent magnet module includes a plurality of permanent magnets, and the magnetic poles of these permanent magnets are alternately arranged in the moving direction.

[0005] If a large amount of electric power is supplied to the electric motor to increase propulsion force and operating speed, a large amount of heat is generated in the armature module. Summary of the invention

[0006] In view of the above circumstances, an object of the present disclosure is to provide a linear motor capable of dissipating heat generated in a coil of an armature module.

[0007] A linear motor according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may include a first component and a second component, the first component including a plurality of armature modules, the second component including a permanent magnet module, the permanent magnet module including a plurality of permanent magnets, the magnetic poles of the plurality of permanent magnets being alternately arranged in a first direction in which the plurality of armature modules are arranged, wherein one of the first component and the second component becomes a mover and the other becomes a stator, and the mover and the stator move relative to each other in the first direction; wherein each armature module includes a magnetic core and a coil, the magnetic core includes a connecting portion and two or more salient poles protruding from the connecting portion, the coil carries current of the same phase and is wound around the magnetic core; wherein the permanent magnet module is arranged between two salient poles of the armature module; and wherein the distance between two adjacent armature modules is greater than the distance between two adjacent salient poles in the same armature module.

[0008] By adopting a structure that facilitates smooth airflow between the armature modules, the heat generated by the linear motor during high-thrust and high-speed operation can be effectively dissipated.

[0009] In addition, the operating temperature of the armature module can be reduced by dissipating the heat generated in the coil of the armature module to the outside through a fan or a refrigerant pipe. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0018] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the linear motor will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0019] The inventor of a linear motor that applies an embodiment of the present disclosure has submitted a linear motor with application number KR 10-2010-0081522, wherein the linear motor includes a first component and a second component, the first component includes a plurality of armature modules arranged in a row along a moving direction, and the second component includes one or more permanent magnet modules, the permanent magnet module includes a plurality of permanent magnets, and the magnetic poles of these permanent magnets are alternately arranged in the moving direction.

[0020] In the linear motor of application number KR 10-2010-0081522, in the case Figure 1 In the open linear motor shown, the connecting part (or core) 11 of the armature module 10 does not adopt a C-shaped structure surrounding the permanent magnet module as the second component, but is in the form of a straight line; a plurality of salient poles 12 protrude from the connecting part in the same direction, for example at right angles; and a plurality of permanent magnet modules 20 of the second component also have a shape that protrudes toward the connecting part between adjacent salient poles arranged side by side.

[0021] In the core of the armature module of another linear motor disclosed in the application No. KR 10-2010-0081522, the salient poles have different protrusion angles, which increases the mold manufacturing cost and has limitations in improving the accuracy. However, Figure 1 The linear motor has a fixed structure, in which all salient poles 12 in each armature module 10 form the same angle, such as a right angle, with the connecting part 11, and each permanent magnet module 20 also forms the same angle, such as a right angle, with the permanent magnet base 22; therefore, the manufacturing accuracy can be improved and the mold cost can be reduced.

[0022] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a linear motor is a linear motor disclosed in the application No. KR 10-2010-0081522. Figure 1 The open type linear motor was modified to a permanent magnet driven type. The transport system using the permanent magnet driven linear motor achieved long distance transport by adjusting the intervals between the armature modules.

[0023] For example, the thrust used to move the permanent magnet 21 is proportional to the sum of the surface areas of the contact portions of the salient pole 12 and the permanent magnet 21; is proportional to the number of armature modules 10 arranged in the moving direction; and is proportional to the magnitude of the current applied to the coil 13, the number of turns of the coil 13 wound around the salient pole 12, and the magnitude of the magnetic force of each permanent magnet 21.

[0024] Thrust is generated based on a combination of the number S of the armature modules 10 (corresponding to a multiple of the motor constant M) and the number P of the permanent magnets 21 (corresponding to a multiple of 2 (N pole and S pole)). Here, if the armature is driven with three-phase power, the motor constant M is 3, and if the armature is driven with five-phase power, the motor constant is 5; an odd number of motor constants equal to or greater than 3 is generally used, and the phase difference of the current applied to the coil of each armature module 10 is determined by the motor constant.

[0025] If the length of the area in which S armature modules face P permanent magnets at a certain interval (the length in the moving direction) is called the unit length of the first component, the effective distance for generating thrust for moving the mover can be ensured only when one of the first component composed of multiple armature modules 10 and the second component composed of multiple permanent magnets 21 is made longer than the unit length.

[0026] In other words, only when the length of the overlapping portion of the first member and the second member is made longer than the unit length (the number of armature modules is equal to or greater than S, or the number of permanent magnets is greater than or equal to P), can the effective distance for generating thrust be ensured, and the magnitude of the thrust can be increased proportionally with the size of the gap formed between the overlapping first member and the second member.

[0027] Three-phase current is applied to each armature module 10 of the first member in the order of UuU (or uUu) (U phase group), VvV (or vVv) (V phase group) and WwW (or wWw) (W phase group) along the moving direction, wherein lowercase letters indicate that a current of opposite phase to that represented by uppercase letters is provided.

[0028] Supplying currents with opposite phases may mean supplying currents with a phase difference of 180 degrees to windings wound on different salient poles, or supplying currents with the same phase to windings but with the coils wound on the salient poles in opposite directions. The latter is more advantageous from the perspective of driving the electric motor because it allows current to be supplied through a single line while effectively supplying two currents with a phase difference of 180 degrees at the same time.

[0029] The first component is constructed as independent armature modules 10, which are not connected to each other (ferromagnetic, which is the same material as the core of the first component); therefore, if the same amount of power is supplied to each armature module 10, the same amount of magnetic flux flows through each armature module independently, which results in smaller changes in the thrust generated by the armature module 10, thereby reducing the fluctuation of the thrust.

[0030] If the magnetic flux entering or existing in the salient pole 12 is uniformly distributed, the magnetic flux passing through the salient pole 12 and the permanent magnet 21 is proportional to the area where the surfaces of the salient pole 12 and the permanent magnet 21 overlap.

[0031] The cross-section of the permanent magnet 21 through which the magnetic flux leaving or entering the salient pole 12 of the armature module 10 passes is not limited to a rectangular or parallelogram shape; the cross-section may be a diamond, circular or elliptical shape, as well as an octagonal shape formed by cutting the four corners of a rectangle or parallelogram.

[0032] Figure 2 A linear motor is shown in which nine armature modules constituting a first member are arranged in a distributed manner, Figure 2 Shown based on the application Figure 1 The same principle of the linear motor uses a motor with nine armature modules, each armature module has three salient poles.

[0033] For example, in a motor having a basic unit of (S, P) = (9, 8), nine armature modules are arranged in series, and three-phase current can be applied in the order of uUuvVvwWw (or UuUVvVWwW). In order to improve the symmetry efficiency and thrust of the magnetic circuit in the linear motor, the number of armature modules S in the basic unit of the motor uses a large value, the number of permanent magnets P uses a value close to S, and a plurality of basic units can be used by connecting to each other.

[0034] When a large number of armature modules are continuously arranged for the first member, a large amount of current is supplied to the first member where the armature modules are densely arranged, which may cause deformation of the core or the salient pole due to heat, thereby reducing accuracy and causing cogging.

[0035] In order to solve the problems caused by thermal deformation and cogging and improve the accuracy, a plurality of armature modules may be arranged on the first member in a distributed manner, such as Figure 2 As shown; at this time, the armature modules supplied with currents of the same phase or 180 degrees out of phase (opposite phase) can be grouped together and separated from the armature modules supplied with currents of other phases (eg, 120 degrees phase).

[0036] exist Figure 2 For example, when an electric motor is driven with a UVW three-phase power supply (wherein the motor constant M corresponds to 3), a U-phase group supplied with a uUu-phase current, a V-phase group supplied with a wWw-phase current, and a W-phase group supplied with a wWw-phase current are separated from each other and arranged in a distributed manner. The armature modules of the U-phase group, the V-phase group, and the W-phase group may be collectively referred to as an armature module group or an armature block.

[0037] When armature modules supplied with current of the same phase are grouped together and continuously arranged as armature module groups, the coils of the armature modules belonging to the corresponding groups can be connected in series with each other; in this case, since the corresponding group only requires a pair of wires, it is advantageous for assembling the first component and connecting the first component to the controller.

[0038] Since most linear motors other than the linear motor of the present disclosure have a structure in which the armature modules constituting the first member are directly connected to each other without being separated, currents of different phases must flow through adjacent armature modules. Therefore, for linear motors having different structures, it is not possible to Figure 2 The armature modules shown are arranged consecutively with the same phase position.

[0039] Reference Figure 1 and Figure 2 The described linear motor generates linear motion by arranging a plurality of armature modules side by side along a straight line and employing a permanent magnet module in which a plurality of permanent magnets are arranged along a straight line.

[0040] At the same time, when a large amount of current flows through the coil at a high frequency to increase the driving force or operating speed of the linear motor to which the present invention is applied, significant heat is generated in the first component, in which a plurality of armature modules having a plurality of protruding poles are arranged along the moving direction, and the coil is wound around the protruding poles.

[0041] The present disclosure provides a structure of a first member that allows air to smoothly flow between armature modules to cool heat generated in a coil wound around a salient pole of the armature module.

[0042] Figure 3 FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a linear motor according to one embodiment. Figure 3 In the embodiment of the present invention, the second component composed of a plurality of permanent magnet modules is omitted.

[0043] Figure 3 The linear motor may include a first member, an armature module base 30 and a fan 40. The first member includes a first direction ( Figure 3 The armature module base 30 is used to place the multiple armature modules 10 of the first component; the fan 40 is installed on the armature module base 30.

[0044] Each of the armature modules 10 may include a connection portion 11 formed of a magnetic core, a plurality of salient poles 12 , and a coil 13 wound around the salient poles 12 .

[0045] Along the second direction ( Figure 3 The plurality of salient poles 12 arranged in the third direction ( Figure 3 The Y direction in the figure) protrudes from the connecting portion 11.

[0046] The coil 13 may be wound around a portion of the salient pole 12 close to the connection portion 11 .

[0047] A coil 13 carrying the same phase current may be wound in one armature module 10 , and the winding direction of the coil 13 is different between adjacent salient poles 12 .

[0048] like Figure 3As shown, the armature modules 10 wound with the coils 13 carrying currents of the same phase or opposite phases can be grouped together and arranged adjacent to each other. In other words, the armature modules 10 supplied with currents of the same (or opposite) phase can be grouped together and arranged adjacent to each other, and separated from the armature modules 10 supplied with currents of different phases (e.g., 120 degree phases).

[0049] A group of armature modules supplied with current of the same (or opposite) phase may be referred to as an armature block. Figure 3 In the embodiment, a U-phase armature block 100U, a V-phase armature block 100V and a W-phase armature block 100W are sequentially arranged.

[0050] The interval between adjacent armature modules 10 within the armature block 100 may be constant. The interval between the armature blocks 100 may be different from the interval between the armature modules 10 within the armature block 100 .

[0051] The first through hole 14 may be formed in the first direction in the end portion of each salient pole 12 of the armature module 10 and the connection portion 11. By passing a rod (not shown) through a through hole formed in a spacer (not shown) disposed between the armature modules 10 and the first through hole 14, the positions or intervals of the plurality of armature modules 10 may be fixed based on the first direction.

[0052] A second through hole 15 along the first direction may be formed in at least one salient pole 12 of the armature module 10. The second through hole 15 may be formed in an end portion of the salient pole 12 where the coil 13 is not wound, thereby allowing the second through hole 15 to be exposed to the outside. When a plurality of armature modules 10 are assembled, the second through hole 15 is exposed without passing a rod therethrough, thereby allowing air to flow through the second through hole 15 and cool heat generated in the coil 13 of the armature module 10.

[0053] The second through hole 15 may have a larger cross section than the first through hole 14. Figure 3 As shown, the second through hole 15 may be formed in the central salient pole 10 having a larger width along the second direction.

[0054] A base groove 31 is formed in the armature module base 30 on which the first member is seated, thereby allowing the fan 40 to be seated on the armature module base.

[0055] In addition, the armature module base 30 may include a damper (or a wall) 32 protruding in a direction toward the first member including the plurality of armature modules 10 .

[0056] exist Figure 3 In the embodiment, two windshields 32 are formed in each of the first direction (Z direction) and the second direction (X direction), however, two windshields 32 may be formed only in the first direction (Z direction).

[0057] Figure 4 It is composed Figure 3 A plan view of a first member of a linear motor.

[0058] The armature modules 10 may be designed to prevent the coils 13 wound around adjacent salient poles 12 from contacting each other and to provide a passage for air to flow smoothly between the armature modules 10 .

[0059] To this end, an interval a between adjacent armature modules 10 and an interval b between adjacent salient poles 12 within the same armature module 10 may be formed larger.

[0060] Alternatively, the interval a between adjacent armature modules 10 may be formed to be larger than the interval b between adjacent salient poles 12 within the same armature module 10 .

[0061] Figure 5 It is a plan view of the bobbin on which the coil is wound.

[0062] The coil 13 may be wound on the bobbin 13_1 and then inserted into the salient pole 12. At this time, the corners of the bobbin 13_1 leading the winding of the coil 13 may be rounded R to match the winding shape of the coil 13, thereby minimizing the obstruction of the bobbin 13_1 to the airflow.

[0063] Figure 6 An exploded perspective view of a linear motor using spacers to secure a first member and an armature module base is shown.

[0064] exist Figure 6 In the embodiment of the present invention, the fan 40 is mounted on the armature module base 30, but the windshield 32 is not formed thereon.

[0065] The interval between the armature module 10 and the adjacent armature module 10 within the armature block in which currents of the same phase flow may be kept constant not only at the connection portion 11 but also at the end portion of the salient pole 12 by the first spacer 17 and the second spacer 18 .

[0066] The armature block and the armature block adjacent thereto may maintain a space between the armature modules 10 facing each other in two adjacent armature blocks by means of the third spacer 19 .

[0067] Although the first spacer 17 and the second spacer 18 have the same length in the first direction, the first spacer (or the second spacer 18 ) and the third spacer 19 may have different lengths in the first direction.

[0068] Through holes, through which the penetration rod 16 passes through the first through hole 14 formed in the salient pole 10 , are formed in the first spacer 17 , the second spacer 18 , and the third spacer 19 .

[0069] Fastening means, such as rivets (not shown), may be formed at both ends of the penetration rod 16. In other words, the first armature module 10 and the last armature module 10 of the first member may be fixed by rivets.

[0070] exist Figure 6 In the embodiment, the plurality of armature modules 10 are fixed to the armature module base 30 by the second spacers 18 to maintain the intervals between the armature modules 10 in the same armature block.

[0071] The second spacer 18 and the armature module base 30 may be fixed to each other by screws or bolts.

[0072] If the second spacer 18 is fixed to the armature module base 30 and the upper end of the second spacer 18 protrudes above the upper end of the connecting portion 11 of the armature module 10 in the third direction (Y direction), a space can be formed between the connecting portion 11 of the armature module 10 and the armature module base 30.

[0073] An air flow formed by the fan 40 may travel through a space between the armature module 10 and the armature module base 30 , thereby dissipating heat generated in the coil 13 wound on the armature module 10 .

[0074] Alternatively, the plurality of armature modules 10 may be fixed to the armature module base 30 through the third spacer 19 .

[0075] The first spacer 17 for maintaining the interval between two adjacent armature modules 10 may be in the shape of a cylindrical column having a hole in the middle. Alternatively, the first spacer 17 may be a polygonal column having a central hole and a non-circular cross-sectional area. The penetration rod 16 may pass through the central hole.

[0076] The second spacer 18 for maintaining the interval between two adjacent armature modules 10 and fixing the armature module 10 to the armature module base 30 has a rectangular parallelepiped shape extending in the second direction (X direction). The length of the second spacer 18 in the second direction may correspond to the length of the connection portion 11 of the armature module 10 in the second direction.

[0077] The second spacer 18 may be elongated in the second direction (X direction) to increase coupling strength between the second spacer 18 and the armature module base 30 or between the armature module 10 and the armature module base 30 .

[0078] When the second spacer 18 is viewed from the first direction with the second spacer 18 inserted between the two armature modules 10 , the upper end of the second spacer 18 may further protrude above the upper end of the connection portion 11 of the armature module 10 .

[0079] Since the upper end of the second spacer 18 protrudes upward further than the upper end of the connection portion 11 of the armature module 10 , a space may be formed between the armature module 10 and the armature module base 30 when the second spacer 18 is fixed to the armature module base 30 .

[0080] In addition, when the second spacer 18 is viewed in the first direction, a recessed portion may be formed below the upper end of the second spacer 18 and near the middle based on the second direction (X direction). In other words, the second spacer 18 may have a U-shaped cross section when viewed from the first direction, and may have a rectangular cross section when viewed from the second direction and the third direction.

[0081] The recessed portion of the second spacer 18 is formed so that the second spacer 18 and the armature module base 30 are not in close contact with each other in the entire cross section in the second direction (X direction) but maintain a gap in the second direction in at least some cross sections.

[0082] Air may smoothly flow through the recessed portion of the second spacer 18 in the first direction, and the airflow pressurized by the fan 40 may reach the armature module 10 away from the fan 40 .

[0083] When the second spacer 18 is observed in a first direction, the three holes in the lower part are designed to allow the penetration rod 16 passing through the first through hole of the armature module 10 to pass through; when the second spacer 18 is observed in a third direction, the two holes on both sides are used to insert screws or bolts to fix the second spacer 18 and the armature module base 30.

[0084] Figure 7 The windshield is shown Figure 6 An embodiment in which the base of the linear motor protrudes toward the first component.

[0085] like Figure 7 As shown, a damper (or wall) 32 may protrude from the bottom of the armature module base 30 in a direction toward the first member or armature module 10 .

[0086] like Figure 7 As shown, two windshields 32 may be formed side by side on the outer sides of the salient poles 12 along the first direction (Z direction) on both sides of the armature module 10 .

[0087] Alternatively, another two windshields 32 may be formed side by side along the second direction (X direction) on the outer sides of the first armature module 10 and the last armature module 10 of the first member.

[0088] The damper 32 may protrude from the armature module base 30 to a position lower than a position where the coil 13 is wound on the salient pole 12 of the armature module 10 .

[0089] The windshield 32 can prevent the air generated by the pressure generated by the rotation of the fan 40 from escaping to the outside of the armature module 10 in the vicinity of the fan without being delivered to the armature module 10 far from the fan 40. In other words, the windshield 32 can allow the air generated by the fan 40 to flow through the entire armature module 10 constituting the first member.

[0090] Figure 8 An embodiment is shown in which pipes for refrigerant flow are installed between the armature modules around which the coils are wound.

[0091] like Figure 8 As shown, in order to cool the heat generated in the coil 13 wound on the salient pole 12 of the armature module 10 , a pipe 50 for a refrigerant flow may be provided between the armature modules 10 having the wound coil 13 .

[0092] Heat generated in the coil 13 carrying a large current at a high frequency may be dissipated to the outside through the refrigerant flowing in the conduit 50 .

[0093] The guide tube 50 may be manufactured in a bent zigzag shape and coupled to the first member in such a manner as to be inserted between the armature modules 10 .
