Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to a dishwashing composition for reducing odors on surfaces. In particular, this invention relates to a cleaning composition that ensures that hard surfaces in the kitchen (such as utensils, countertops, stoves) and soft surfaces (such as sponges, cleaning cloths, and dishcloths (tools for cleaning kitchen surfaces)) remain fresh and odor-free for an extended period after cleaning with the composition. Background Technology
[0002] In the kitchen, consumers expect hard surfaces to remain clean, including utensils made of steel, ceramic, glass, etc. Other surfaces, such as countertops, stovetops, and other surfaces in the kitchen, also need to be kept clean. These hard surfaces in the kitchen sometimes have unpleasant odors, even though they may have been cleaned well. This may be due to residues of starch, protein, and oil left on them, which may decompose over time in the presence of residual water or through moisture condensing from humid air. In the kitchen, tools with soft surfaces (such as cleaning cloths, sponges, and brushes / rags used for cleaning utensils) can also produce odors due to the decomposition of the aforementioned residues. According to the present invention, a "dishwashing composition" refers to a composition for cleaning one or more of the aforementioned surfaces.
[0003] Therefore, when cleaning most surfaces in the kitchen (whether hard or soft), sufficient cleanliness and hygiene are required, while ensuring that odors are reduced for a period of time after the cleaning steps, using less harsh chemicals. In their search for a solution to this problem, the inventors of this invention surprisingly discovered Bacillus spp. (…) Bacillus The combination of bacterial spores and rhamnolipid biosurfactants not only cleans surfaces well but also ensures that the place smells fresh for a long time and produces minimal odor afterward.
[0004] Cleaning compositions containing biosurfactants are known, for example, US7556654B1, which discloses a combination of this type of surfactant with enzymes to produce cleaning benefits. This cleaning composition is shown to be formed through the action of bacteria and yeast on lipopeptides and sophorolipids, as well as enzymes derived from kelp. It does not disclose that a combination of rhamnolipids and Bacillus spores ensures a significant reduction in odors for an extended period after cleaning.
[0005] Therefore, one object of the present invention is to provide a cleaning composition for cleaning surfaces in the kitchen that provides long-term benefits against odors after cleaning. Summary of the Invention
[0006] A first aspect of the present invention relates to a dishwashing composition comprising: (i) 0.05 to 10% by weight of rhamnolipids; and (ii) 0.000005 to 1% by weight of Bacillus spores, which include Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (Bacillus) Bacillus amyloliquefaciens ), Bacillus megaterium ( Bacillus megaterium ) and Bacillus subtilis ( Bacillus subtilis ),and (iii) 1 to 30% by weight of anionic surfactants.
[0007] According to another aspect of the invention, a method for reducing odors on a surface is provided, the method comprising the step of contacting the surface with a composition of the invention, preferably diluted with water. Detailed Implementation
[0008] To avoid ambiguity, any feature of one aspect of the invention may be used in any other aspect of the invention. The word “comprising” is intended to mean “including”, but not necessarily “consisting of” or “made up of”. Thus, the term “comprising” means not limited to any of the elements subsequently stated, but optionally also covers unspecified elements of primary or secondary functional importance. In other words, the listed steps or options need not be exhaustive. Whenever the words “comprising” or “having” are used, these terms mean equivalent to “comprising” as defined above. It should be noted that the embodiments given in the following specification are intended to illustrate the invention and are not intended to limit the invention to those embodiments alone. Except as expressly stated in the embodiments or otherwise, all figures in this specification representing the amount of material or reaction conditions, the physical properties of the material, and / or uses should be understood to be modified by the word “about”. Unless otherwise stated, numerical ranges expressed in the format “x to y” should be understood to include both x and y. When multiple preferred ranges are described in the form of “x to y” for a particular feature, it should be understood that all ranges combining different endpoints are also considered. Unless otherwise stated, the amounts used herein are expressed as a weight percentage based on the total weight of the composition and are abbreviated as "weight%".
[0009] According to the present invention, "surfactant" refers to surfactants other than rhamnolipids described in the present invention. Therefore, "anionic surfactant" refers to anionic surfactants other than rhamnolipids described in the present invention.
[0010] The compositions of the present invention comprise rhamnolipids. Rhamnolipids are a class of glycolipids. They are composed of rhamnose in combination with β-hydroxy fatty acids. Rhamnose is a sugar. Fatty acids are ubiquitous in animals and plants.
[0011] Rhamnolipids are discussed in E. Deziel et al., Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology (2010) 86:1323-1336. Rhamnolipids are produced by Glycosurf, AGAE Technologies, and Urumqi Unite Bio-Technology Co., Ltd. Rhamnolipids can be produced by the bacteria *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* (…). Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Rhamnolipids are produced by strains of *Pseudomonas putida*. Pseudomonas Putida The recombinant cells produced contain at least one of the enzymes a / P hydrolase, rhamnosyltransferase I, or rhamnosyltransferase II with increased activity compared to wild-type cells.
[0012] Rhamnolipids are divided into two main groups: monorhamnolipids and dirhamnolipids. Monorhamnolipids have a single rhamnose ring. A typical monorhamnolipid produced by *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* is L-rhamnosyl-β-hydroxydecyl-β-hydroxydecanoate (RhaC). 10 C 10 It can be called Rha-C. 10 -C 10 , having formula C 26 H 48 O9. Monorhamnolipids have a single rhamnosine ring.
[0013] The IUPAC name is 3-[3-[(2R,3R,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxane-2-yl]oxydecanoyloxy]decanoic acid.
[0014] Dirhamnolipids have two rhamnosine rings. A typical dirhamnolipid is L-rhamnosyl-L-rhamnosyl-β-hydroxydecanoyl-β-hydroxydecanoate (Rha2C). 10 C 10 It can be called Rha-Rha-C- 10 -C- 10 , having formula C 32 H 58 O 13 .
[0015] The IUPAC name is 3-[3-[4,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-(3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxane-2-yl)oxyoxane-2-yl]oxydecanoyloxy]decanoic acid.
[0016] In practice, depending on the carbon source and bacterial strain, a variety of other minor components with different combinations of alkyl chain lengths exist alongside the more common rhamnolipide combinations described above. The ratio of monorhamnolipide to dirhamnolipide can be controlled by the production method. Some bacteria produce only monorhamnolipide (see US5767090: Example 1), and some enzymes can convert monorhamnolipide to dirhamnolipide.
[0017] In various published materials, monorhamnolipids are designated Rha-, which can be abbreviated as Rh or RL2. Similarly, dirhamnolipids are designated Rha-Rha or Rh-Rh or RL1. Due to historical reasons, "rhamnolipid 2" is a monorhamnolipid, and "rhamnolipid 1" is a dirhamnolipid. This has led to some ambiguity in the use of "RL1" and "RL2" in the literature.
[0018] Throughout this patent specification, we use the terms monorhamnolipid and dirhamnolipid to avoid such potential confusion. However, if the abbreviations are used, R1 is monorhamnolipid and R2 is dirhamnolipid. For more information on the confusion of terminology in the prior art, see the introduction to US 4814272.
[0019] The following rhamnolipids produced by the following bacteria have been detected: (C12:1, C14:1 represent fatty acyl chains with double bonds).

[0024] The American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) holds over 100 strains of *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*. Many other strains are only available from manufacturers of commercial rhamnolipin. Furthermore, various research institutions worldwide may have isolated thousands of strains. Some work has progressed to typing them into groups. Each strain possesses distinct characteristics, including how much rhamnolipin it produces, what type of rhamnolipin it produces, what it metabolizes, and the conditions under which it grows. Only a small percentage of strains have been studied in depth.
[0025] Through evaluation and selection, strains of *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* can be isolated to produce rhamnolipids at higher concentrations and more efficiently. Strains can also be selected to produce fewer byproducts and metabolize different feedstocks or contaminants. This production is greatly influenced by the environment in which the bacteria grow.
[0026] A typical dirhamnolipid is L-rhamnosyl-L-rhamnosyl-β-hydroxydecyl-β-hydroxydecanoate (Rha2C) 10 C 10 , having formula C 32 H 58 O 13 ).
[0027] In practice, depending on the carbon source and bacterial strain, a variety of other minor components with different combinations of alkyl chain lengths exist alongside the more common rhamnolipide combinations described above. The ratio of monorhamnolipide to dirhamnolipide can be controlled by the production method.
