Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELDThe present invention relates to a heat exchanger for a vehicle. More specifically, the present invention relates to a heat exchanger for a vehicle which is attached to an expansion valve in an integral form and which is suitable for improving air conditioning performance and reducing noise and vibration occurring upon movement of a refrigerant.BACKGROUNDGenerally, a vehicle includes an air conditioning system for maintaining an interior vehicle temperature at a desired temperature regardless of an exterior temperature.Such an air conditioning system generally includes: a compressor that compresses a refrigerant; a condenser that condenses and liquifies the compressed refrigerant; an expansion valve that rapidly expands the condensed and liquefied refrigerant; and an evaporator that cools air supplied into the interior of a vehicle in which the air conditioning system is installed using latent heat evaporation of the refrigerant upon evaporation of the refrigerant. The air conditioning system operates according to a general refrigeration cycle and performs an air conditioning operation by continuously changing phases from a liquid state of a high temperature and a high pressure to a gas state of a lower temperature and a low pressure while sequentially repeating the circulation of the refrigerant through an air conditioning pipe connecting the compressor, the condenser, the expansion valve, and the evaporator. However, the conventional air conditioning system has a structure in which the condensed refrigerant is super-cooled ("super-cooling"), and therefore a pressure drop often occurs in a condenser inlet and an outlet pipe due to a complex refrigerant flow.Further, because the condenser has space defined therein and an inner space of an engine room is small, a length of an air conditioning duct in which a refrigerant moves is limited. Accordingly, a minimum required length to reduce the coolant to a necessary temperature is not satisfied, and a coefficient of performance (COP) representing a coefficient of air conditioning performance relative to compressor power consumption is therefore decreased, thus degrading the overall air conditioning performance and efficiency of the air conditioning system.Further, since the refrigerant circulating through the air conditioning system is compressed by the compressor in the air conditioning line at the high speed and the high pressure at a high speed, noise and vibration occur in the air conditioning line, thus degrading the overall noise, vibration, and severity (NVH) performance of the vehicle. The foregoing information disclosed in this Background section is only for promoting an understanding of the background of the invention and therefore may include information that does not form prior art that is already known to those skilled in the art.DE 10 2012 113 191 A1 discloses a heat exchanger for a vehicle, which is provided on the air-conditioning pipe between a compressor and an expansion valve in an air-conditioning system and may include: a heat exchanger unit formed alternately with a first flow path and a second flow path in an inner portion in which a refrigerant condenses by heat exchange from the refrigerant and a working fluid; first and second inlets formed for introducing the refrigerant and the working fluid into the inner portion; first and second outlets formed on another side of the heat exchanger unit for discharging the refrigerant and the working fluid, respectively; and a noise reduction unit provided at a side of the heat exchange unit for reducing a noise and a vibration generated when the refrigerant supplied from the compressor moves.DE 10 2013 201 313 A1 discloses an internal heat exchanger for an air conditioning system, in particular in a motor vehicle, having a high-pressure side through which refrigerant under high pressure flows during operation and having a low-pressure side through which the refrigerant under low pressure flows during operation. According to the invention, the heat exchanger is physically designed spatially on its high-pressure side and / or its low-pressure side in such a way that pulsations of the refrigerant flowing through are predominantly attenuated at one or a few predetermined frequencies.DE 10 2010 055 613 A1 discloses a heat exchanger arrangement for thermally coupling a coolant circuit to a refrigerant circuit in a vehicle. According to the invention, at least one temperature sensor is arranged in an injection channel or an injection tube of an expansion unit.SUMMARYThe present invention has been made in an effort to provide a heat exchanger for a vehicle that is attached in an integral form to an expansion valve suitable for improving an air conditioning performance of an air conditioning system by being subcooled ("supercooling") by heat exchange of a high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant supplied from a condenser and a low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant supplied from an evaporator to a compressor, and NVH performance of the vehicle is improved by reducing occurrence of noise and vibration upon movement of the refrigerant.A heat exchanger for a vehicle according to the invention is alternatively defined by claim 1 or claim 10.According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a heat exchanger for a vehicle includes a heat exchange unit in which a plurality of plates are layered to alternately form therein a first flow channel and a second flow channel to exchange heat of operating fluids passing through each of the first and second flow channels and having a surface connected to an expansion valve. First and second discharge holes are formed separately in a diagonal direction opposite to the first and second discharge holes at both surfaces of the heat exchange unit, and are connected to the first flow channel and the second flow channel, respectively. A noise reduction member is integrally connected to another surface of the heat exchange unit and reduces noise and vibration occurring when an operation fluid injected through the second inlet hole moves. The noise reduction member may include at least two noise reduction plates that are laminated (stacked) on the other surface of the heat exchange unit, that form at least one space therein, and include at least one communication hole that communicates with the second discharge hole. A closing and sealing door is attached to an outer side of the at least two noise reduction plates to form a space between the closing and sealing plate and the outer side of the at least two noise reduction plates. The at least one space may block communication of the first flow passage and the first inlet hole to inject only an operating fluid discharged through the second outlet hole. The noise reduction member may include at least one noise reduction plate having a surface laminated on the other surface of the heat exchange unit, a protruding end protruding toward the other surface, and a communication hole communicating with the second discharge hole. A resonance hole in which one side of the protruding end is open communicates with the communication hole. A closing and sealing cap is attached to an outer side of the at least one noise reduction plate to contact the protruding end and form a space communicating with the resonance hole between the closing and sealing cap and the at least one noise reduction plate. The space may block communication of the first flow passage and the first inlet hole to inject only an operating fluid discharged through the second outlet hole.A cover plate may be attached to each of the one surface of the heat exchange unit and the other surface of the noise reduction unit. In the cover plate disposed at an opposite side of the expansion valve, a connection block having first and second through holes communicating with the first inlet hole and the second outlet hole, respectively, may be attached. The expansion valve may be connected to the heat exchange unit through a connection flange attached to the heat exchange unit through a fixing plate, and may be integrally fixed to the heat exchange unit through a fixing bolt penetrating the heat exchange unit from the other surface of the heat exchange unit. The first inlet hole may be formed at the other surface of the heat exchange unit, and the first outlet hole may be formed separately in a diagonal direction opposite to the first inlet hole at the one surface of the heat exchange unit. The air conditioning system includes a compressor 10 that compresses a refrigerant, the condenser 20 that condenses the refrigerant, and the expansion valve 30 that expands the condensed refrigerant. An evaporator 40 evaporates the expanded refrigerant by heat exchange with air, and exchanges heat of the refrigerant, which is an operating fluid supplied in an interior of the vehicle heat exchanger 100.As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a vehicle heat exchanger 100 according to a first exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a heat exchange unit 110, first and second inlet holes 116 aand 116 b, first and second outlet holes 118 aand 118 b, and a noise reduction member 150.In the heat exchange unit 110, a plurality of plates 112 are layered to alternately form a first flow channel 114 aand a second flow channel 114 bthereof. The heat exchange unit 110 exchanges heat from operating fluids flowing through each of the first and second flow channels 114 aand 114 b.One surface of the heat exchanger 110 is fixedly attached to the expansion valve 30. Here, a cover plate 120 may be attached to another surface of the heat exchange unit 110 as well as another surface of the noise reduction member 150.The heat exchange unit 110 may have a plate shape in which the plurality of plates 112 are stacked. In the first exemplary embodiment, the first inlet hole 116 aand the second inlet hole 116 bare formed separately on both surfaces of the heat exchange unit 110, and communicate with the first flow channel 114 aand the second flow channel 114 b, respectively. The first discharge hole 118 aand the second discharge hole 118 bare formed separately in a diagonal direction with respect to the first and second discharge holes 116 aand 116 bat both surfaces of the heat exchange unit 110, and communicate with the first flow channel 114 aand the second flow channel 114 b, respectively. That is, the first inlet hole 116 amay be formed at the other surface of the heat exchange unit 110, and the first outlet hole 118 amay be formed at a separate location in a diagonal direction from the first inlet hole 116 aat the one surface of the heat exchange unit 110. The second inlet hole 116 bmay be formed at the one surface of the heat exchange unit 110, and the second outlet hole 118 bmay be formed at a separate location in a diagonal direction from the second inlet hole 116 bat the other surface of the heat exchange unit 110.Accordingly, the operating fluids flowing through the first and second flow passages 114 aand 114 bthrough the first and second inlet holes 116 aand 116 b, respectively, counter-flow to exchange the heat in the heat exchange unit 110.Further, a connection block 122 having first and second through holes 124 aand 124 bcommunicated with the first inlet hole 116 aand the second outlet hole 118 b, respectively, may be attached to the cover plate 120 at an opposite side to the expansion valve 30.The connection block 122 allows easy connection of pipes for connecting the compressor 10 or the evaporator 40 to the heat exchange unit 110, thereby improving assembly efficiency and reducing pipe assembly time.Further, the expansion valve 30 is connected to the heat exchange unit 110 through a connection flange 126. The connecting flange 126 is fixed to the heat exchange unit 110 by a fastening bolt B penetrating and engaging an inner side of the heat exchange unit 110 from the other surface of the heat exchange unit 110.The connecting flange 126 may be attached to the heat exchange unit 110 through a fixing plate 128. Accordingly, the heat exchange unit 110 is directly attached to one surface of the expansion valve 30 through the connection flange 126 so as to be integrally formed with the expansion valve 30.In the first exemplary embodiment, the plurality of plates 112 may include at least one protrusion 113 protruding from an inner side of the first and second flow channels 114 aand 114 b.The at least one protrusion 113 controls a flow of the operating fluids to smoothly flow over the first flow channel 114 aand the second flow channel 114 b, only by diverting the operating fluids passing through the first flow channel 114 aand the second flow channel 114 b.That is, when the operating fluids are injected into each of the first inlet holes 116 aand the second inlet holes 116 band flow through the first flow channel 114 aand the second flow channel 114 b, the at least one protrusion 113 allows the operating fluids to entirely move toward the flow channels 114 aand 114 b, thereby increasing a heat exchange area and improving an efficiency. The operating fluids may include a high temperature and high pressure refrigerant discharged from the condenser 20 to pass through the first inlet hole 116 athrough each of the first flow passages 114 aas a first refrigerant, and a low temperature and low pressure refrigerant discharged from the evaporator 40 to pass through the second inlet hole 116 bthrough each of the second flow passages 114 bas a second refrigerant. In the first exemplary embodiment, the heat exchange unit 110 has two flow channels, inlet holes, and outlet holes, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the number of flow channels, the inlet holes, and the outlet holes may be changed and used depending on the number of injected operation fluids. For example, when the operating fluids further include a refrigerant, a new flow channel may be formed, and inflow and outflow holes connected to the new flow channel may be formed by increasing the number of the plates 112.The noise reduction member 150 is integrally formed with the heat exchange unit 110 on another surface of the heat exchange unit 110, resulting in reduction of noises and vibration that occur when the second coolant is injected through the second inlet hole 116 band moves. The noise reduction member 150 includes a noise reduction plate 152 and a closing and sealing plate 156.In the first exemplary embodiment, the noise reduction plate 152 may be formed in three pieces. However, it is not limited thereto, and the noise reduction plate 152 may be formed at least in two pieces. The noise reduction plate 152 is (stacked) on the other surface of the heat exchange unit 110, and has at least one space S that blocks the communication of the first inlet hole 116 aand the first flow channel 114 a, and has a communication hole 145 that communicates with the second outlet hole 118 bin the noise reduction plate 152.The closing and sealing plate 156 is attached to the noise reduction plate 152 and disposed at the opposite side to the expansion valve 30. The closing and sealing plate 156 forms the space S between the closing and sealing plate 156 and the noise reduction plate 152.Accordingly, in the first exemplary embodiment, when three noise reduction plates 152 are layered in the heat exchange unit 110, the noise reduction member forms three spaces therein while the closing and sealing plate 156 is attached to the noise reduction plate 152.Here, the three spaces S may block the communication of the first inlet hole 116 aand the first flow channel 114 ato inject only the second coolant. The noise reduction member 150 is installed in an expansion muffler that reflects noise and vibration that occur while the second refrigerant moves through the second discharge hole 118 bwith a cross-sectional area smaller than that of the spaces S due to a difference in the cross-sectional areas.By integrally forming the noise reduction member 150 in the heat exchange unit 110, a separate muffler or a long air conditioner duct for reducing noise and vibration can be eliminated.Hereinafter, an operation of the heat exchanger 100 for a vehicle according to a first exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.FIG. 4 is a plan view illustrating the heat exchanger for a vehicle according to the first exemplary embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along line B-B of FIG. 4 illustrating a moving state of a refrigerant discharged from a condenser, and FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view taken along line C-C of FIG. 4 illustrating a moving state of a refrigerant discharged from an evaporator.Referring to FIG. 5, the first coolant condensed in the condenser 20 is injected through the first through hole 124 aformed in the connection block 122 of the heat exchanger 100.The first coolant injected into the first through hole 124 ais injected into the first inlet hole 116 athrough the noise reducer 150, and is discharged through the first outlet hole 118 ato the expansion valve 30 by flowing through each first flow passage 114 a.Since each space S formed in the noise reduction member 150 is blocked from the first flow passage 114 aand the first inlet hole 116 a, the first coolant injected into the heat exchange unit 110 exchanges heat with the second coolant flowing through each second flow passage 114 bwhen it does not flow through each space S, thereby supercooling ("supercooling") occurs. As shown in FIG. 6, the second refrigerant discharged from the evaporator 40 is injected into the second inlet hole 116 bto exchange heat with the first refrigerant flowing through each first flow channel 114 aand each second flow channel 114 b. The second coolant is then injected into each space S of the noise reduction member 150 through the second discharge hole 118 b.The second coolant is discharged through the second discharge hole 118 band moves from the second discharge hole 118 bwith a smaller cross-sectional area than that of each space S.Here, the noise reduction member 150 performs a function of an expansion muffler that reflects noise and vibration by a difference in cross-sectional areas, and therefore, noise and vibration generated in the second refrigerant discharged through the second discharge hole 118 bare reduced. The heat exchanger 100 for a vehicle according to the first exemplary embodiment is directly attached to the expansion valve 30, and therefore, the heat exchanger 100 can reduce the noise and vibration occurring when the second coolant moves by integrally forming the noise reduction member 150 together with the heat exchange unit 110.Further, the heat exchange unit 110 subcools the first coolant with the second coolant through the heat exchanger, and therefore, a non-condensable coolant constituting part of the first coolant is injected into the expansion valve 30 through the heat exchange in a condensed state.Accordingly, the heat exchanger 100 additionally reduces a temperature of a refrigerant of an inlet side of the evaporator 40, and provides a large enthalpy difference of the evaporator 40, thereby maximizing a coefficient of performance (COP).Further, the heat exchanger 100 according to the first exemplary embodiment prevents an efficiency of the air conditioning system from being deteriorated by a non-condensable gas refrigerant, thereby improving an expansion efficiency in the expansion valve 30.FIGS. 7 and 8 are a perspective view and an exploded perspective view each showing a heat exchanger for a vehicle according to a second exemplary embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view taken along line D-D of FIG. 7, and FIG. 10 is a perspective view showing a noise reduction plate applied to a noise reduction unit in the heat exchanger for a vehicle according to a second exemplary embodiment of the present invention.A vehicle heat exchanger 200 according to a second exemplary embodiment is directly attached to an expansion valve 30 between a condenser 20 and the expansion valve 30 in an air conditioning system. The air conditioning system includes a compressor 10 that compresses a refrigerant, the condenser 20 that condenses a refrigerant, and the expansion valve 30 that expands the condensed refrigerant. An evaporator 40 evaporates the expanded refrigerant by heat exchange with air and exchanges heat of refrigerant that is an operating fluid injected into the interior of the vehicle heat exchanger 200.As shown in FIGS. 7 to 9, the vehicle heat exchanger 200 according to a second exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a heat exchange unit 210, first and second inlet holes 216 aand 216 b, first and second outlet holes 218 aand 218 b, and a noise reduction member 250.The heat exchange unit 210 includes a plurality of plates 212 that are layered to alternately form a first flow channel 214 aand a second flow channel 214 bthereof, and the heat exchange unit 210 exchanges heat with operating fluids flowing through each of the first and second flow channels 214 aand 214 b.One surface of the heat exchange unit 210 is fixedly attached to the expansion valve 30. Further, a cover plate 220 may be attached to both a surface of the heat exchange unit 210 and the noise reduction member 250.The heat exchange unit 210 may have a plate shape in which the plurality of plates 212 are stacked. In the second exemplary embodiment, the first inlet hole 216 aand the second inlet hole 216 are separately formed at both surfaces of the heat exchange unit 210 and connected to the first flow channel 214 aand the second flow channel 214 b, respectively. The first discharge hole 218 aand the second discharge hole 218 bare separately formed in a diagonal direction opposite to the first and second discharge holes 216 aand 216 bat both surfaces of the heat exchange unit 210 and connected to the first flow channel 214 aand the second flow channel 214 b, respectively. That is, the first inlet hole 216 ais formed at the other surface of the heat exchange unit 210, and the first outlet hole 218 amay be formed at the one surface of the heat exchange unit 210 in a diagonal direction to the first inlet hole 216 a. The second inlet hole 216 bis formed at the one surface of the heat exchange unit 210, and the second outlet hole 218 bmay be formed at the other surface of the heat exchange unit 210 in a diagonal direction to the second inlet hole 216 b.Accordingly, the heat exchange unit 210 may exchange the heat when the operating fluids flowing through the first and second flow channels 214 aand 214 bflow in opposite directions. In a second exemplary embodiment, a connection block 222 may be mounted in the cover plate 220 disposed at an opposite side of the expansion valve 30. The connection block 222 has first and second through holes 224 aand 224 bcommunicated with the first entrance hole 216 aand the second exit hole 218 b, respectively. The connection block 222 allows easy connection of pipes for connecting the compressor 10 or the evaporator 40 to the heat exchanger 100, thereby improving the mounting efficiency.Further, the expansion valve 30 is connected to the heat exchange unit 210 through a connection flange 226. The connecting flange 226 is mounted in the heat exchange unit 210 and integrally fixed to the heat exchange unit 210 by a fastening bolt B penetrating and engaging an inner side of the heat exchange unit 210.The connecting flange 226 may be mounted in the heat exchange unit 210 by a mounting plate 228. Accordingly, the heat exchange unit 210 is directly attached to one surface of the expansion valve 30 through the connection flange 226 to be integrally formed with the expansion valve 30.In a second exemplary embodiment, the plurality of plates 212 may include at least one protrusion 213 protruding from an inner side of the first and second flow channels 214 aand 214 b.The at least one protrusion 213 controls a movement of the operating fluids to flow evenly across the first flow channel 214 aand the second flow channel 214 b, exclusively by diverting ("by closing") the operating fluids flowing through each of the first flow channels 214 aand the second flow channels 214 b.That is, when the operating fluids are injected into the first inlet hole 216 aand the second inlet hole 216 band flow through the first flow channel 214 aand the second flow channel 214 b, respectively, the protrusion 213 allows the operating fluids to entirely move on each of the flow channels 214 aand 214 b, thereby increasing a heat exchange area and improving an efficiency. Here, the operating fluids may be a high temperature and high pressure refrigerant discharged from the condenser 20 to pass through each first flow passage 214 athrough the first inlet hole 216 aas a first refrigerant, and a low temperature and low pressure refrigerant discharged from the evaporator 40 to pass through each second flow passage 214 bthrough the second inlet hole 216 bas a second refrigerant. In a second exemplary embodiment, two of the flow passages, the inlet holes, and the outlet holes formed in the heat exchange unit 210 are provided, respectively, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the number of each of the flow passages, the inlet holes, and the outlet holes may be changed and used depending on the number of injected operation fluids. For example, when the operating fluids further include a refrigerant, a new flow channel is formed by increasing the number of the plates 212, and an inlet hole and an outlet hole connected to the new flow channel may also be formed. The noise reduction member 250 is formed integrally with the heat exchange unit 210 in the heat exchange unit 210, and reduces noise and vibration that occur when the second coolant is injected through the second inlet hole 216 band moves. Here, the noise reduction member 250 includes a noise reduction plate 252, a resonance hole 255, and a closing and sealing plate 256.The noise reduction plate 252 may be at least one piece laminated (on) on one surface of the heat exchange unit 210. The noise reduction plate 252 has a protruding end 253 protruding toward the connection block 222, which is the opposite side of the heat exchange unit 210. The noise reduction plate 252 may further include a communication hole 254 connected to the second escape hole 218 b.The protruding end 253 is connected to the communication hole 254 at a side thereof in the resonance hole 255. The closing and sealing plate 256 is attached with the protruding end 253 to the noise reduction plate 252 to form a space S communicating with the resonance hole 255 between the closing and sealing plate 256 and the noise reduction plate 252.That is, the space S is formed by the closing and sealing plate 256 attached to the protruding end 253 at the other surface of the noise reduction plate 252. Here, the space S may block communication with the first inlet hole 216 aand the first flow passage 214 ato inject only the second coolant discharged through the second outlet hole 218 b.In the noise reduction member 250 according to the second exemplary embodiment, when the second coolant flowing through the second flow passage 214 bis discharged through the second discharge hole 218 b, the second coolant is injected into the space S through the resonance hole 255.Therefore, while the second coolant is injected into the space S through the resonance hole 255, it generates an inverse frequency of noise and vibration occurring upon movement of the second coolant.Such an inverse frequency compensates (offsets) a standing wave by noise and vibration generated in the second coolant while being discharged through the second discharge hole 218 b, thus reducing the noise and vibration of the second coolant. That is, the noise reduction member 250 of the second exemplary embodiment performs a function of a resonance type muffler. The standing wave generated by noise and vibration when the second coolant moves in a closed and sealed space connected by a narrow inlet or a hole can be reduced. The noise and the vibration inverted with respect to the standing wave occur, and the inverse wave compensates a noise of a specific frequency band (generally, a high frequency range) of the standing wave and thus reduces the noise and the vibration. In a second exemplary embodiment, the noise reduction member 250 performs a function of a resonance type muffler using a Helmholtz resonator, wherein an inverse noise and vibration occur during the flow through a closed and sealed space connected by a narrow inlet or a hole.Since the noise reduction member 250 according to the present invention is integrally formed in the heat exchange unit 210, a separate muffler or a long air conditioner duct for reducing the noise and the vibration is not required.Hereinafter, an operation of the heat exchange unit 210 according to a second exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.FIG. 11 is a plan view showing a heat exchanger for a vehicle according to a second exemplary embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 12 is a cross-sectional view taken along line E-E of FIG. 11 showing a moving state of a refrigerant discharged from a condenser, and FIG. 13 is a cross-sectional view taken along line F-F of FIG. 11 showing a moving state of a refrigerant discharged from an evaporator.First, as shown in FIG. 12, the first coolant condensed in the condenser 20 is injected through the first through hole 224 aformed in the connection block 222 of the heat exchanger 200.The first coolant is then injected into the first inlet hole 216 athrough the noise reduction member 250, and is then discharged through the first outlet hole 218 ato the expansion valve 30 by flowing through each first flow passage 214 a.Here, since the space S formed in the noise reduction unit 250 blocks the first flow channel 214 aand the first inlet hole 216 a, the first coolant is subcooled ("supercooled") by exchanging heat with the second coolant flowing through each second flow channel 214 band through each first flow channel 214 awhile preventing inflow into the space S.As shown in FIG. 13, the second refrigerant discharged from the evaporator 40 is injected into the second inlet hole 216 bto exchange heat with the first refrigerant injected into the first inlet hole 216 ato flow through each first flow passage 214 awhile flowing through each second flow passage 214 b, and is injected into the noise reduction member 250 through the second outlet hole 218 b.Here, the second coolant generates an inverse sound and an inverse vibration of a standing wave while flowing through the space S connected through the resonance hole 255 of the sound reducing member 250.Such an inverse wave compensates a noise of a specific frequency band (generally, a high frequency range) of the standing wave generated when the second coolant moves. Therefore, the second coolant reduces the noise and vibration that occur while being discharged from the second discharge hole 218 b.Since the vehicle heat exchanger 200 according to the second exemplary embodiment of the present invention is directly attached to the expansion valve 30 and integrally forms the noise reduction member 250 together with the heat exchange unit 210, noise and vibration of the second refrigerant are reduced.Further, the heat exchange unit 210 subcools (supercools) the first refrigerant by the heat exchange with the second refrigerant, and therefore, a non-condensable refrigerant contained in the first refrigerant is injected into the expansion valve 30 by the heat exchange. The heat exchanger 200 additionally lowers a temperature at the inlet side of the evaporator 40 and provides a large enthalpy difference of the evaporator 40, thereby maximizing a coefficient of performance (COP).On the other hand, the heat exchanger 200 according to the second exemplary embodiment prevents an efficiency of the air conditioning system from being deteriorated by a non-condensable gas refrigerant, thereby increasing an expansion efficiency in the expansion valve 30.FIGS. 14 and 15 are a perspective view and an exploded perspective view showing a heat exchanger for a vehicle according to a third exemplary embodiment of the present invention, respectively, and FIG. 16 is a cross-sectional view taken along line G-G of FIG. 14.A vehicle heat exchanger 300 according to a third exemplary embodiment of the present invention is directly attached to an expansion valve 30, between a condenser 20 and the expansion valve 30, in an air conditioning system. The air conditioning system includes a compressor 10 that compresses a refrigerant, the condenser 20 that condenses a refrigerant, and the expansion valve 30 that expands the condensed refrigerant. An evaporator 40 evaporates the expanded refrigerant by heat exchange with air and exchanges heat of the refrigerant, which is an operating fluid injected into the vehicle heat exchanger 300.As shown in FIGS. 14 to 16, the vehicle heat exchanger 300 according to a third exemplary embodiment includes a heat exchange unit 310, first and second inlet holes 316 aand 316, first and second outlet holes 318 aand 318 b, an expansion valve 30, and a noise reducer 350.In the heat exchange unit 310, first, a plurality of plates 312 are layered to alternately form a first flow channel 314 aand a second flow channel 314 bthereof, and the heat exchange unit 310 exchanges heat from operating fluids flowing through each of the first and second flow channels 314 aand 314 b.The heat exchange unit 310 may have a plate shape in which the plurality of plates 312 are layered. In the third exemplary embodiment, the first inlet hole 316 aand the second inlet hole 316 bare formed at separate locations on both surfaces of the heat exchange unit 310, and are connected to the first flow channel 314 aand the second flow channel 314 b, respectively. The first discharge hole 318 aand the second discharge hole 318 bare formed at separate locations in a diagonal direction with respect to the first and second inlet holes 316 aand 316 bat one surface and the other surface of the heat exchange unit 310, and are respectively connected to the first flow channel 314 aand the second flow channel 314 b.Here, the first inlet hole 316 amay be formed on one surface of the heat exchange unit 310, and the first outlet hole 318 amay be formed on another surface of the heat exchange unit 310 in a diagonal direction opposite to the first inlet hole 316 a.Further, the second inlet hole 316 bmay be formed on the other surface of the heat exchange unit 310, and the second outlet hole 318 bmay be formed on the other surface of the heat exchange unit 310 in a diagonal direction opposite to the second inlet hole 316 b.Accordingly, the heat exchange unit 310 can exchange heat by allowing the operating fluids passing through the first and second flow channels 314 aand 314 bto flow counter-currently.Here, a cover plate 320 may be attached to the heat exchange unit 310 and also to the noise reduction member 350.Further, in the heat exchange unit 310, a closing and sealing plate 360 may be mounted, which prevents a coolant from leaking between the cover plate 320 and the plurality of plates 312.To the cover plate 320 disposed at an opposite side to the expansion valve 30, a connection block 322 having first and second through holes 324 aand 324 bcommunicated with the first inlet hole 316 aand the second outlet hole 318 a, respectively, may be attached. The connection block 322 allows pipes for connecting the compressor 10 or the evaporator 40 to the heat exchanger 300 to be easily connected, thereby improving the mounting efficiency. The plate 312 having the heat exchange unit 310 may include at least one protrusion 313 protruding at an inner side of the first and second flow channels 314 aand 314 b.The at least one protrusion 313 controls movement of the operating fluids to flow evenly across the first flow channel 314 aand the second flow channel 314 b, solely by diverting ("de-touring") the operating fluids flowing through each of the first flow channels 314 aand the second flow channels 314 b.That is, when the operating fluids flow through the first flow channel 314 aand the second flow channel 314 b, the at least one protrusion 313 allows the operating fluids to entirely move on each of the flow channels 314 aand 314 b, thereby increasing a heat exchange area and improving efficiency. Here, the operating fluids may be a high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant discharged from the condenser 20 to flow through each first flow passage 314 athrough the first inlet hole 316 aas a first refrigerant, and a low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant discharged from the evaporator 40 to pass through each second flow passage 314 bthrough the second inlet hole 316 bas a second refrigerant. In the third exemplary embodiment, two of the flow passages, inlet holes, outlet holes formed in the heat exchange unit 310 may be provided, respectively, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the number of each of the flow passages, inlet holes, and outlet holes may be changed and used depending on the number of injected operation fluids. For example, when the operating fluids include a refrigerant, a new flow channel is formed by increasing the laminated number of the plates 312, and an inlet hole and an outlet hole connected to the new flow channel may also be formed. In the third exemplary embodiment, the expansion valve 30 is integrally attached to the heat exchange unit 310 at one surface of the heat exchange unit 310.The noise reduction member 350 is integrally formed with the heat exchange unit 310 at a surface of the heat exchange unit 310 between the heat exchange unit 310 and the expansion valve 30, and reduces noise and noise occurring when the second coolant moves. Here, the expansion valve 30 is connected to the heat exchange unit 310 through a connection flange 326 mounted in the noise reduction member 350.Further, the expansion valve 30 may be integrally fixed to the heat exchange unit 310 with the noise reduction member 350 interposed therebetween by a fastening bolt B engaged by penetrating the heat exchange unit 310 and the noise reduction member 350 from the other side of the heat exchange unit 310. The connecting flange 326 may be attached to the noise reduction member 350 by a mounting plate 328.Accordingly, the heat exchange unit 310 is attached to the expansion valve 30 through the connection flange 326 with the noise reduction member 350 interposed therebetween. In the third exemplary embodiment, the noise reduction member 350 includes a noise reduction plate 352 and a communication hole 354.First, the noise reduction plate 352 may be formed with at least two pieces, and in a third exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the noise reduction plate 352 may be formed with three pieces.Such a noise reduction plate 352 is laminated at a surface of the heat exchange unit 310 between the heat exchange unit 310 and the expansion valve 30 to form at least one space S therein. The communication hole 354 is formed in the noise reduction plate 352 to correspond to the second inlet hole 316 b, and allows the operating fluids to be injected into the second inlet hole 316 bto flow through the space S, and injects the operating fluids into the second flow passage 314 bthrough the second inlet hole 316 b.Here, the space S may block the communication of the first flow passage 314 a, the first inlet hole 316 a, and the first outlet hole 318 a, so that the second coolant injected through the communication hole 354 flows through the spaces S and is injected through the second inlet hole 316 bto flow through the second flow passage 314 b.The noise reduction member 350 according to the present invention performs a function of an expansion muffler that reflects noise and vibration that occur while the second refrigerant moves through the communication hole 354 having a smaller cross-sectional area than that of the space S, using a difference in the cross-sectional areas.Since the noise reduction member 350 is integrally formed on the heat exchange unit 310 between the expansion valve 30 and the heat exchange unit 310, it may be unnecessary to attach a separate muffler or to employ a long air conditioning duct used for reducing the noise and vibration. In the vehicle heat exchanger 300 according to the third exemplary embodiment, when the first coolant condensed in the condenser 20 is injected through the first through hole 324 aformed in the connection block 322 of the heat exchanger 300, the first coolant is discharged to the first discharge hole 318 aby passing through the first flow passage 314 athrough the first inlet hole 316 a.The second refrigerant discharged from the evaporator 40 is injected into the communication hole 354 of the noise reduction member 350 to pass through each space S. That is, the second coolant moves from the communication hole 354 having a relatively small cross-sectional area to each space S having a large cross-sectional area. Here, since each space S and the cross-sectional area of the communication hole 354 perform the function of the expansion muffler reflecting the noise and the vibration using the cross-sectional area difference, the noise and the vibration generated in the second refrigerant are compensated and reduced.Thereafter, the second refrigerant is injected into the second inlet hole 316 bto exchange the heat with the first refrigerant flowing through each first flow passage 314 awhile flowing through the second flow passage 314 b, and is discharged to the compressor 10 through the second outlet hole 318 b.The first coolant injected into the heat exchange unit 310 through the first inlet hole 316 afiltrates the noise reduction member 350 in a subcooled ("supercooled") state by exchanging the heat with the second coolant flowing through the second flow channel 314 bwhile flowing through the first flow channel 314 a, and is discharged to the expansion valve 30.Since the vehicle heat exchanger 300 according to the third exemplary embodiment is directly attached to the expansion valve 30 and integrally forms the noise reduction member 350 together with the heat exchange unit 310, the noise and the vibration are reduced.Further, the heat exchange unit 310 subcools ("supercools") the first refrigerant by the heat exchange with the second refrigerant, and therefore a non-condensable refrigerant included in the first refrigerant is injected into the expansion valve 30 in a condensed state by the heat exchange. Accordingly, the heat exchanger 300 additionally decreases a temperature at the inlet side of the evaporator 40, and provides a large enthalpy difference of the evaporator 40, thereby maximizing a coefficient of performance (COP).On the other hand, the heat exchanger 300 according to the third exemplary embodiment prevents an efficiency of the air conditioning system from being deteriorated by a non-condensable gas refrigerant, thereby increasing an expansion efficiency in the expansion valve 30.FIGS. 17 and 18 are a perspective view and an exploded perspective view showing a heat exchanger for a vehicle according to a fourth exemplary embodiment of the present invention, respectively, and FIG. 19 is a cross-sectional view taken along line H-H of FIG. 17.A vehicle heat exchanger 400 according to a fourth exemplary embodiment of the present invention is directly attached to an expansion valve 30 between a condenser 20 and the expansion valve 30 in an air conditioning system. The air conditioning system includes a compressor 10 that compresses a refrigerant, the condenser 20 that condenses a refrigerant, and the expansion valve 30 that expands the condensed refrigerant. An evaporator 40 evaporates the expanded refrigerant by heat exchange with air, and exchanges heat of refrigerant that is an operating fluid injected into the vehicle heat exchanger 400.As shown in FIGS. 17 to 19, the vehicle heat exchanger 400 according to the fourth exemplary embodiment includes a heat exchange unit 410, first and second inlet holes 416 aand 416 b, first and second outlet holes 418 aand 418 b, an expansion valve 30, and a noise reduction member 450.The heat exchange unit 410 includes a plurality of plates 412 that are layered to alternately form a first flow channel 414 aand a second flow channel 414 bthereof, and exchanges heat from operating fluids passing through each of the first and second flow channels 414 aand 414 b.The heat exchange unit 410 having such a structure may be formed in a plate shape in which the plurality of plates 412 are layered. In the fourth exemplary embodiment, the first inlet hole 416 aand the second inlet hole 416 bare formed at separate locations on both surfaces of the heat exchange unit 410 and are connected to the first flow channel 414 aand the second flow channel 414 b, respectively. The first discharge hole 418 aand the second discharge hole 418 bare formed at separate locations in a diagonal direction opposite to the first and second inlet holes 416 aand 416 bon both surfaces of the heat exchange unit 410 and are connected to the first flow channel 414 aand the second flow channel 414 b, respectively. That is, the first inlet hole 416 amay be formed on one surface of the heat exchange unit 410, and the first outlet hole 418 amay be formed on another surface of the heat exchange unit 410 in a diagonal direction with respect to the first inlet hole 416 a. The second inlet hole 416 may be formed at another surface of the heat exchange unit 410, and the second outlet hole 418 bmay be formed at the one surface of the heat exchange unit 410 at separate locations in a diagonal direction with respect to the second inlet hole 416 b.Accordingly, when operating fluids flow through the first and second flow channels 414 aand 414 b, respectively, through the first and second inlet holes 416 aand 416 b, respectively, to counter flow, the heat exchange unit 410 may exchange heat.Further, a cover plate 420 may be attached to each of the heat exchange unit 410 and the noise reduction member 450.The heat exchange unit 410 may further include a closing and sealing plate 460 that prevents a coolant from leaking between the cover plate 420 and the plate 412.The cover plate 420 may include a connection block 422 having first and second through holes 424 aand 424 bcommunicated with the first entrance hole 416 aand the second exit hole 418 b, respectively. The connection block 422 allows pipes for connecting the compressor 10 and the evaporator 40 to the heat exchanger 400 to be easily connected, thereby improving mounting efficiency. The plates 412 may include at least one protrusion 413 protruding from the first and second flow channels 414 aand 414 b.The at least one protrusion 413 controls a movement of the operating fluids to smoothly flow over the first flow channel 414 aand the second flow channel 414 b, only by diverting ("de-touring") the operating fluids flowing through each of the first flow channel 414 aand the second flow channel 414 b.That is, when operating fluids injected into each of the first inlet hole 416 aand the second inlet hole 416 bflow through the first flow channel 414 aand the second flow channel 414 b, the protrusions 413 allow the operating fluids to entirely move on each of the flow channels 414 aand 414 b, thereby increasing a heat exchange area and improving efficiency. The operating fluids may be a high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant discharged from the condenser 20 to flow through each first flow passage 414 athrough the first inlet hole 416 aas a first refrigerant, and a low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant discharged from the evaporator 40 to flow through each second flow passage 414 bthrough the second inlet hole 416 bas a second refrigerant. In the fourth exemplary embodiment, there are two flow channels, inlet holes, and outlet holes formed in the heat exchange unit 410, respectively, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the number of flow channels, inlet holes, and outlet holes may be changed and used depending on the number of injected operating fluids. For example, when the operating fluids further include a refrigerant and a new flow channel is formed, an inlet hole and an outlet hole connected to the new flow channel can be newly formed by increasing the number of the laminated plates 412.In the present exemplary embodiment, the expansion valve 30 is integrally attached to the heat exchange unit 410 at one surface of the heat exchange unit 410.The noise reduction member 450 is integrally formed with the heat exchange unit 410 at a surface of the heat exchange unit 410 between the heat exchange unit 410 and the expansion valve 30, and reduces noise and noise occurring when the second coolant injected through the second inlet hole 416 bmoves. The expansion valve 30 is connected to the heat exchange unit 410 through a connection flange 426 mounted in the noise reducer 450. Further, the expansion valve 30 may be integrally fixed to the heat exchange unit 410 with the noise reduction member 450 interposed therebetween by a fixing bolt B engaged by penetrating the heat exchange unit 410 and the noise reduction member 450 from the other surface of the heat exchange unit 410.The connecting flange 426 may be mounted in the noise reduction member 450 by a mounting plate 428. Accordingly, the heat exchange unit 410 is mounted in the expansion valve 30 through the connection flange 426 with the noise reduction member 450 interposed therebetween to be formed in an integral shape. In the fourth exemplary embodiment, the noise reduction member 450 includes a noise reduction plate 452 and a resonance hole 455.The noise reduction plate 452 may be integrally formed with at least one piece, and in the fourth exemplary embodiment, the noise reduction plate 452 may be one piece. The noise reduction plate 452 is laminated at a surface of the heat exchange unit 410 between the heat exchange unit 410 and the expansion valve 30 to form a space S therein. Here, the noise reduction plate 452 protrudes to a surface of the heat exchange unit 410 such that a protruding end 453 is in contact with the plate 412 of the heat exchange unit 410, and has a communication hole 454 connected to the second inlet hole 416 b. That is, the protruding end 453 integrally protrudes from an inner circumferential surface in the communication hole 454.In the resonance hole 455, one side of the protruding end 453 is formed open to be connected to the connection hole 454.The space S may block communication with the first flow passage 414 a, the first inlet hole 416 a, and the first outlet hole 418 a, so that only the second coolant is injected into the second inlet hole 416 bthrough the communication hole 454 to flow through the resonance hole 455 through the second flow passage 414 b.In the noise reducer 450 of the fourth exemplary embodiment, the second coolant injected through the communication hole 454 is injected into the space S formed between the heat exchange unit 410 and the noise reducer plate 452 through the resonance hole 455.Accordingly, the second coolant generates an inverse frequency of sound and vibration frequency that occurs when it moves when injected into the space S through the resonance hole 455.Such an inverse frequency compensates a standing wave by noise and vibration generated in the second coolant injected through the communication hole 454, and therefore, the vibration and noise of the second coolant are reduced. The noise reduction member 450 performs a function of a resonance type muffler, and while the standing wave is injected into a closed sealed space connected by a small inlet or a hole on a moving path, noise and vibration occur which are inverted with respect to the standing wave, and the inverse wave compensates (offsets) noise of a specific frequency band (generally, a high frequency range) of the standing wave, thus reducing the noise and vibration occurring when the second coolant moves. In the fourth exemplary embodiment, the noise reduction member 450 performs the function of the resonance type muffler using a Helmholtz resonator in which an inverse noise and vibration occur during the passage through the closed and sealed space connected through the small inlet or the hole.Since the noise reduction member 450 is integrally formed in the heat exchange unit 410 between the expansion valve 30 and the heat exchange unit 410, a separate muffler or a long air conditioner pipe for reducing the noise and the vibration is not required. In the vehicle heat exchanger 400 according to the fourth exemplary embodiment, when the first coolant condensed in the condenser 20 is injected through the first through hole 424 aformed in the connection block 422 of the heat exchanger 400, the first coolant is discharged to the first discharge hole 418 aand is injected into the expansion valve 30 by passing through the first inlet hole 416 athrough the first flow passage 414 a.The second refrigerant discharged from the evaporator 40 is injected into the communication hole 454 of the noise reduction member 450, reduces noise while flowing through each space S through the resonance hole 455, and is injected into the heat exchange unit 410 through the second inlet hole 416 b.Accordingly, the first coolant flows through the first flow channel 414 aand exchanges heat with the second coolant flowing through the second flow channel 414 b.When the second coolant flows through the space S connected by the resonance hole 455 while being injected through the connection hole 454 of the noise reduction member 450, an inverse noise and a vibration of the standing wave occur.Such an inverse wave compensates (offsets) a standing wave noise generated when the second coolant moves, and therefore, the second coolant reduces the noise and the vibration while being injected from the communication hole 454.Since the vehicle heat exchanger 400 according to the fourth exemplary embodiment is directly attached to the expansion valve 30 and integrally forms the noise reduction member 450 together with the heat exchange unit 410, the noise and the vibration are reduced.Since the heat exchange unit 410 subcools (supercools) the first refrigerant by the heat exchange with the second refrigerant, a non-condensable refrigerant included in the first refrigerant is injected into the expansion valve 30 by the heat exchange in the condensed state.Accordingly, the heat exchanger 400 additionally reduces a temperature of a refrigerant of the inlet side of the evaporator 40, and provides a large enthalpy difference of the evaporator 40, thereby maximizing a coefficient of performance (COP).Further, the heat exchanger 400 according to the fourth exemplary embodiment prevents an efficiency of the air conditioning system from being deteriorated by a non-condensable gas refrigerant, thereby improving an expansion efficiency in the expansion valve 30.In describing the vehicle heat exchangers 100, 200, 300 and 400 according to the first, second, third and fourth exemplary embodiments of the present invention, it is described that the heat exchange units 110, 210, 310 and 410 or the noise reduction members 150, 250, 350 and 450 integrally formed in the heat exchange units 110, 210, 310 and 410 are integrally attached to the expansion valve 30 by the fastening bolt B. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and in mounting the heat exchangers 100, 200, 300, and 400 in a vehicle, when the heat exchange unit 110, 210, 310, and 410 or the noise reduction members 150, 250, 350, and 450 are connected to the expansion valve 30, considering whether interference with other components occurs in an engine room and an interior, the heat exchange units 110, 210, 310, and 410 or the noise reduction members 150, 250, 350, and 450 may be connected to the expansion valve 30 through a connection pipe or a flange block having a flow channel inside. Therefore, when the vehicle heat exchangers 100, 200, 300 and 400 according to the first, second, third and fourth exemplary embodiments of the present invention are employed, the vehicle heat exchangers 100, 200, 300 and 400 are integrally attached to the expansion valve 30 to subcool ("supercool") the first refrigerant supplied from the condenser 20 by heat exchange with the second refrigerant supplied from the evaporator 40 to a compressor, thereby improving air conditioning performance of the air conditioning system and facilitating refrigerant flow, and therefore, occurrence of a pressure drop in a condenser inlet and outlet pipe can be reduced. In addition, by supercooling ("supercooling") and supplying the refrigerant to the evaporator 40, a refrigerant temperature of the inlet side of the evaporator 40 decreases, and an enthalpy difference of the evaporator 40 is largely shaped. Therefore, a coefficient of performance (COP) that is a coefficient of air conditioning performance for consuming a performance of the compressor increases, and therefore air conditioning performance and air conditioning efficiency of the entire air conditioning system can be improved as compared with a conventional case.By reducing the occurrence of the noise and the vibration when the second coolant moves, by integrally forming the noise reduction members 150, 250, 350, and 450, the noise and the vibration are prevented from being transmitted to a vehicle interior, and a total NVH performance of the vehicle is improved, so that a driving feeling and the total markability of the vehicle can be improved.By integrally forming the heat exchangers 100, 200, 300 and 400 at the expansion valve 30 and by omitting a separately attached muffler, constituent members can be easily formed, thus reducing the manufacturing cost.A layout in a small engine room is simplified by reducing a length of an air conditioning duct, and space utilization can be improved. While this invention has been described in connection with what is presently considered to be practical exemplary embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments. On the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements included within the scope and spirit of the appended claims.
