Description

[0001] The invention relates to a hydraulic pump with a housing, a pump module accommodated in an axially open pump receiving space within the housing, a stator module accommodated in an axially open stator receiving space within the housing, wherein the stator module axially contacts the pump module, and a fluid partition wall for axially closing the space within the housing in which the pump module and the stator module are accommodated.

[0002] The hydraulic pump is intended for use in a motor vehicle drivetrain. For example, the hydraulic pump can provide a hydraulic oil flow, which is converted into an actuating force and an actuating stroke in an actuator. The hydraulic pump can also be used to provide a cooling oil flow, which can be used to cool or lubricate various components in a transmission or clutch. For example, a clutch can be engaged using the provided hydraulic oil flow. The pump can also be used to pump other fluids, such as a coolant for battery cooling, transmission oil, lubricating oil, cooling oil, engine oil, transformer oil, insulating oil, etc.

[0003] Such hydraulic pumps are known in various designs. They can be designed as separate units that are then connected to the component to be supplied via lines, or they can be attached directly to another component, for example, a transmission housing.

[0004] In a typical design of such a hydraulic pump, the housing is constructed in several parts, with one housing part usually used for the pump module and one housing part for the stator module of the electric motor. Hydraulic pumps with a one-piece housing are also known.

[0005] In the automotive industry, the aim is always to provide components that are as compact as possible and with low production costs.

[0006] The object of the invention is therefore to provide a hydraulic pump which is compact in design and can be assembled with little effort.

[0007] This task is solved by a hydraulic pump of this type, in which the fluid separating wall (hereinafter referred to as "separating wall") axially contacts the stator module and engages the housing in a fluid-tight manner. This allows the hydraulic pump to be designed to be particularly space-saving, especially in the axial direction, and with a minimum number of components, allowing for quick and reliable assembly.

[0008] In particular, the hydraulic pump is designed without a separating pot, which extends between a stator and a rotor of the electric motor of the hydraulic pump and separates a hydraulic oil side of the hydraulic pump from an electronics side. In the subject matter of the invention, the separating wall ensures that no hydraulic oil can leak from the hydraulic pump to the electronics side.

[0009] According to one embodiment, the partition wall has a circumferential groove in which a seal is accommodated. The seal rests against the inner wall of the housing. This provides a reliable radial seal that is also particularly space-saving in the axial direction.

[0010] According to a further embodiment, the partition wall lies axially against a housing cover which is connected to the housing, so that the hydraulic pump is particularly compact in the axial direction.

[0011] A circuit board can be located between the housing cover and the partition wall, on which the electronic components for controlling the hydraulic pump are located. Thus, the circuit board is reliably separated from the hydraulic oil side of the hydraulic pump by the partition wall.

[0012] In an alternative embodiment, the partition wall is a housing cover, which means that the hydraulic pump can be designed from particularly few individual parts.

[0013] The housing cover can have a circuit board on which electronic components for controlling the hydraulic pump are arranged. The circuit board is at least partially enclosed by a potting compound to protect and insulate the electronic components. Furthermore, the potting compound has good thermal conductivity, allowing the resulting heat loss to be effectively dissipated from the electronics via the potting compound.

[0014] In one embodiment, the housing is made of plastic and thus has a particularly low mass. Furthermore, the plastic housing can be manufactured with little effort.

[0015] In a design where the housing is made of plastic and the hydraulic pump has a housing cover, the housing cover can be welded to the housing, ensuring reliable fastening. Furthermore, this eliminates the need for screws as fastening elements, allowing the hydraulic pump to be particularly compact and easy to install.

[0016] In an alternative embodiment, the housing is made of an aluminum alloy, which allows heat to be dissipated more effectively than plastic.

[0017] In an embodiment in which the housing is made of an aluminum alloy and the hydraulic pump has a housing cover, the housing cover can axially engage with plastically deformed sections of the housing on its side opposite the partition wall. This ensures a compact attachment of the housing cover to the housing with minimal effort.

[0018] Further advantages and features are evident from the following description and the attached drawings. These show: - Fig. 1 shows a sectional view of a hydraulic pump according to the invention according to a first embodiment, - Fig. 2 shows a section of a hydraulic pump according to the invention according to a second embodiment, and - Fig. 3 in a sectional view a section of a hydraulic pump according to the invention according to a third embodiment.

[0019] In Fig. Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of the hydraulic pump 10. It serves to provide a hydraulic oil flow for a drive train of a motor vehicle. This flow can be used to lubricate or cool drive train components. The hydraulic oil flow can also be used to convert actuators into an actuating stroke, for example, to engage a clutch.

[0020] The hydraulic pump 10 has a housing 12 and a partition wall 14 which enclose a space 16.

[0021] The housing 12 is constructed in one piece and has a pot shape, i.e. a bottom 18 and a side wall 20 which extends essentially in a hollow cylinder shape against an axial direction A from the bottom 18 to a housing edge 22.

[0022] The hydraulic pump 10 further has a housing cover 24, which axially abuts the partition wall 14. The partition wall 14 is arranged in the axial direction A between the housing cover 24 and the base 18.

[0023] In an alternative embodiment, the partition wall 14 can form the housing cover 24.

[0024] In the present embodiment, the housing 12, the partition wall 14, and the housing cover 24 are injection-molded components made of a plastic such as a thermoplastic. PPA or PPS are particularly suitable materials.

[0025] If higher strengths are required, the housing 12 can also be made of other materials. One example is a housing 12 made of an aluminum alloy, at least some of which is machined.

[0026] Additionally or alternatively, in a further embodiment, the partition wall 14 and / or the housing cover 24 may be formed from an aluminum alloy.

[0027] Furthermore, the hydraulic pump 10 has a pump module 26 and an electric motor 28, which are arranged in the space 16.

[0028] The pump module 26 has a pump housing 30 and a pump rotor 32 accommodated therein. Furthermore, in the embodiment of the hydraulic pump 10 shown here, an outer ring 34 is provided, which is rotatably accommodated in the pump housing 30.

[0029] The hydraulic pump 10 is a gerotor pump. In principle, other pump types are also possible, with the pump module 26 being designed accordingly.

[0030] The electric motor 28 has a rotor 36 and a stator module 38 with a stator winding 40. The stator module 38 is arranged stationary in the housing 12, and the rotor 36 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a shaft 42, which is mounted in the pump housing 30 for rotation about a rotation axis R.

[0031] The pump rotor 32 is mounted in a rotationally fixed manner on an end of the shaft 42 located within the pump housing 30, for example via a press connection.

[0032] The pump housing 30 is dimensioned so that the pump rotor 32 can be accommodated in it with the necessary axial play.

[0033] In an alternative embodiment, the pump housing 30 comprises a spacer, for example in the form of a plate, to compensate for an axial gap.

[0034] To control the electric motor 28, the hydraulic pump 10 has a printed circuit board 44 on which components 46 of an electronic system for controlling the hydraulic pump 10 are arranged.

[0035] The circuit board 44 and the components 46 are part of a circuit board module 48.

[0036] The printed circuit board module 48 is arranged in the axial direction A between the housing cover 24 and the partition wall 14 and is thus separated from the space 16 by the partition wall 14.

[0037] The electric motor 28 is connected to the circuit board 44 via electrical contacts 52 for signal transmission, which extend axially through an opening 54 in the partition wall 14.

[0038] In principle, in an alternative embodiment, the electrical contacts 52 can be guided axially through the partition wall 14 via a plurality of openings 54 instead of via a common opening 54.

[0039] The circuit board 44 is also connected to connection contacts 56 of an electrical connection 58 of the hydraulic pump 10 in a signal-transmitting manner.

[0040] The electrical connection 58 is here a connector 60 extending in the axial direction A, which is part of the housing cover 24.

[0041] In this context, the partition wall 14 has a radially circumferential groove 62 and a seal 64 which is arranged in the groove 62 and bears against an inner wall 66 of the housing 12 in order to separate the printed circuit board module 48 from the space 16 in a fluid-tight manner by means of the partition wall 14.

[0042] The seal 64, for example, is an O-ring.

[0043] Furthermore, the electric motor 28 has a sealing section 68 which closes the space between the electrical contacts 52 and the partition wall 14 in the opening 54 in a fluid-tight manner.

[0044] In the present embodiment, the sealing section 68 is designed to complement the opening 54 and is connected to the partition wall 14 via a press fit.

[0045] Additionally or alternatively, a sealing element may be arranged in the opening 54 to ensure that the opening 54 is closed in a fluid-tight manner.

[0046] In an alternative embodiment, the sealing section 68 is connected to the partition wall 14 via a clearance fit. In this case, the opening 54 is sealed in a fluid-tight manner by a sealing element or a potting compound.

[0047] The sealing section 68 is, for example, part of a stator package 78 of the stator module 38.

[0048] Furthermore, the space 16 comprises a pump receiving space 70 in which the pump module 26 is arranged, and a stator receiving space 72 in which the stator module 38 is arranged.

[0049] The pump receiving chamber 70 and the stator receiving chamber 72 are directly adjacent to one another, ie they are not separated from one another by a partition wall and are thus each axially open.

[0050] The pump module 26 rests in the axial direction A on the bottom 18 of the housing 12 and is arranged in the pump receiving space 70 such that the pump module 26 is fluidly connected to a suction opening 74 and a pressure opening 76 of the hydraulic pump 10, which extend in the axial direction A through the bottom 18.

[0051] In this case, the pump module 26 is designed to be complementary to the housing 12, at least in sections, so that the pump module 26 is received radially in the pump receiving space 70 essentially without play.

[0052] The pump module 26 is further fastened to the housing 12 in the axial direction A by welding the pump housing 30 to the side wall 20, in particular by laser welding.

[0053] Additionally or alternatively, the housing 12 may have fastening pins (not shown) onto which the pump module 26 is inserted in the axial direction A and which are subsequently caulked or plastically deformed in order to fasten the pump module 26 to the housing 12.

[0054] The stator module 38 lies directly on the pump module 26 in the axial direction A.

[0055] In this case, the stator module 38 is designed to be complementary to the housing 12, at least in sections, so that the stator module 38 is received radially in the stator receiving space 72 essentially without play.

[0056] The stator module 38 is further fastened to the housing 12 by welding the stator package 78 of the stator module 38 to the side wall 20, in particular by laser welding.

[0057] In an alternative embodiment, in particular in which the housing 12 is made of an aluminum alloy, the stator module 38 can be fastened in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner, for example by means of fastening pins.

[0058] The partition wall 14 has a support section 80, via which it rests on the stator module 38 in the axial direction A.

[0059] Axially opposite to the support section 80, the partition wall 14 also has a support section 82 which forms a support for the printed circuit board module 48.

[0060] The printed circuit board module 48 rests in the axial direction A on the partition wall 14 via the support section 82.

[0061] Here, the printed circuit board module 48 is radially spaced from the housing 12, for example by means of positioning pins via the partition wall 14.

[0062] Additionally or alternatively, the printed circuit board module 48 can be fastened to the partition wall 14, in particular axially.

[0063] The housing cover 24 rests on the printed circuit board module 48 in the axial direction A.

[0064] As a result, the printed circuit board module 48 is axially clamped between the housing cover 24 and the partition wall 14.

[0065] The housing cover 24 is designed complementarily to the housing edge 22 and preferably lies radially against the housing edge 22 over its entire circumference.

[0066] In the present embodiment, the housing cover 24 is welded to the housing edge 22, in particular tightly in the circumferential direction, for example by laser welding.

[0067] To assemble the hydraulic pump 10, the shaft 42 with the rotor 36 is first inserted in the axial direction A into the pump module 26, in particular the pump housing 30, without play.

[0068] Subsequently, the pump rotor 32 is pressed onto the shaft 42 and then the outer ring 34 is mounted.

[0069] Now the pump module 26 is inserted in the axial direction A into the housing 12 and fastened in the pump receiving space 70.

[0070] The stator module 38 is then inserted into the housing 12 in the axial direction A and fastened axially in contact with the pump module 26 in the stator receiving space 72.

[0071] In a further step, the partition 14 is inserted into the housing 12 in the axial direction A and arranged with the support section 80 axially in contact with the stator module 38. Here, the housing has a small shoulder 50 so that the seal 64 is not in contact with the housing over the entire insertion path.

[0072] In the present embodiment, the sealing section 68 of the electric motor 28 is inserted into the opening 54 of the partition wall 14.

[0073] As a result, the space 16 is sealed fluid-tight by the partition wall 14.

[0074] Subsequently, the printed circuit board module 48 is inserted into the housing 12 in the axial direction A and arranged axially in contact with the partition wall 14 via the support section 82.

[0075] The circuit board 44 is plugged axially onto the electrical contacts 52 and is thus connected to them in a signal-transmitting manner.

[0076] Additionally or alternatively, the electrical contacts 52 can be soldered to the circuit board 44.

[0077] In a next step, the housing cover 24 is inserted into the housing 12 in the axial direction A and arranged axially in contact with the printed circuit board module 48.

[0078] The housing cover 24 is then welded to the housing edge 22.

[0079] In an alternative embodiment, the fastening of the individual components or assemblies can not take place immediately after the insertion of the component or assembly, but at a later time.

[0080] For example, in one embodiment, the pump module 26, the stator module 38 and / or the housing cover 24 may be welded to the housing 12 after all components or assemblies have been inserted into the housing 12.

[0081] In Fig. Figure 2 shows a second embodiment of the hydraulic pump 10. The same reference numerals are used for the components known from the first embodiment, and reference is made to the above explanations.

[0082] A difference between the second and first embodiments is that in the second embodiment, the housing 12 is formed of an aluminum alloy.

[0083] Furthermore, the housing cover 24 is not welded to the housing edge 22, but has a radially circumferential second groove 84 and a second seal 86 which is arranged in the second groove 84 and rests fluid-tight against the housing edge 22.

[0084] The second seal 86 is, for example, an O-ring.

[0085] For axial fastening of the housing cover 24, the housing edge 22 is formed into a circumferential retaining bead 88 (in Fig. 2 shown in dashed lines), which consists of plastically deformed sections 90 of the housing 12 and extends radially over the housing cover 24.

[0086] Of course, in an alternative embodiment, the housing edge 22 can be plastically deformed in any desired manner to form the retaining bead 88.

[0087] In Fig. Figure 3 shows a third embodiment of the hydraulic pump 10. The same reference numerals are used for the components known from the first embodiment, and reference is made to the above explanations.

[0088] A difference between the third and the first embodiment is that in the third embodiment the partition wall 14 forms the housing cover 24.

[0089] Furthermore, the circuit board module 48 is completely surrounded by a potting compound 92 in order to protect the circuit board 44 and the components 46 of the electronics for controlling the hydraulic pump 10.

[0090] In an alternative embodiment, the circuit board module 48 may be only partially surrounded by the potting compound 52.

[0091] In principle, the potting compound 52 is optional and can be omitted in another embodiment.

[0092] The electrical connection 58 here is a radially extending connector 60.

[0093] Furthermore, the partition wall 14 has a collar 94, via which it rests on the housing edge 22 in the axial direction A.

[0094] The partition wall 14 further has an apron 96 extending in the axial direction A, which is designed complementarily to the housing edge 22 and by means of which the partition wall 14 rests radially inwardly on the housing edge 22 over its entire circumference.

[0095] In the present embodiment, in which the housing 12 and the partition wall 24 are formed from plastic, the partition wall 14 is welded to the housing edge 22, in particular by means of the apron 96, completely radially circumferentially, so that the weld seam is fluid-tight.

[0096] Welding can be done by laser welding.

[0097] As a result, the space 16 is hermetically sealed by the partition wall 14 or the housing cover 24.

[0098] In this way, a hydraulic pump 10 is provided which can be assembled particularly easily since all internal components or assemblies are inserted into the housing 12 from one side, namely in the axial direction A, and the assembly is carried out without screws.

[0099] Since the components or assemblies are fastened in the housing 12 without screws, the hydraulic pump 10 is also particularly compact, in particular in the radial direction, since space-consuming fastening flanges for such screw connections are eliminated.

[0100] Because the components or assemblies in the housing 12 lie axially against one another, the hydraulic pump 10 is also particularly compact in the axial direction A.

[0101] The invention is not limited to the embodiments shown. In particular, individual features of one embodiment can be combined arbitrarily with features of other embodiments, in particular independently of the other features of the corresponding embodiments.
