Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a shore power cable anti-theft device and a vehicle with a shore power cable anti-theft device.
[0002] Vehicles, especially habitable vehicles, can be supplied with shore power. Shore power here refers to a 230-volt mains voltage supply. In the case of land vehicles such as mobile homes or caravans, which are also defined as vehicles, a shore power supply is used at a campsite, for example, to operate appliances such as refrigerators, cooking appliances, or lighting while stationary, without draining the battery or using a power generator. Watercraft such as sailing yachts or motor yachts can also be supplied with shore power in harbors.
[0003] For shore power supply, expensive, heavy-duty rubber-sheathed cables with plugs and connectors complying with the CEE standard are used. These shore power cables are sometimes left unattended and are subject to theft.
[0004] Anti-theft devices for land vehicles are known from the state of the art, in which the shore power cable is routed through a wire bracket or a groove in a ramp. The wire bracket or ramp, with the inserted shore power cable, is then secured under one of the tires by briefly moving the vehicle forward. This procedure is cumbersome and leads to the abandonment of such anti-theft devices.
[0005] In the context of electromobility, solutions are known for securing the plug of the charging cable for the traction battery. Documents DE 196 42 687 C2 and DE10 2012 022 949 A1 disclose lockable socket flaps on the vehicle. Patent application DE 10 2018 125 204 A1 teaches securing the plug to the vehicle socket with an iris diaphragm that interacts with a groove in the plug. The aforementioned solutions are not suitable for retrofitting to a vehicle.
[0006] It is also known for electric vehicle charging cables to be secured to a building on the wallbox side. Design application USD 988836 S1 shows a securing device consisting of a base, a cap, and a padlock. The base is mounted on a house wall. The cable to be secured is secured between the base and a cap. The padlock is then used to connect the cap to the base. This solution is intended for stationary attachment to a house wall. However, for one of the vehicles mentioned above, which requires shore power at various campsites or ports, it is a prerequisite that the securing device is provided on the vehicle. A cantilevered securing device such as that shown in USD 988836 S1 is not suitable for mounting on a vehicle. In addition, this securing device is cumbersome to operate. For example, the cable must be held, the cap put on and the padlock applied at the same time.
[0007] The object of the invention is therefore to provide an alternative anti-theft device for shore power cables on vehicles. A further object of the invention is to make this anti-theft device easy to use. Another object of the invention is to provide an easy-to-retrofit anti-theft device. Furthermore, it is an object to provide an anti-theft device that does not rattle even during typical vehicle vibrations.
[0008] This object is achieved by a shore power cable anti-theft device according to the features of independent claim 1 and by a vehicle according to claim 8.
[0009] In a preferred design variant, the lock is equipped with a swivel bolt or sliding bolt, which locks the base plate and the hasp together.
[0010] The base plate has holes for a screw or rivet connection to a vehicle. According to the invention, a mounting surface designed for an adhesive connection can also be provided.
[0011] This enables a flat structure which, according to the invention, measures less than 50 mm, particularly preferably less than 40 mm, thick.
[0012] A cross-section of 20 mm corresponds to the charging cable to be secured.
[0013] A vehicle according to the invention with a shore power cable anti-theft device has it nearby, preferably below the shore power cable connection.
[0014] The invention will now be explained in detail with reference to the figures.
[0015] They represent: Fig. 1: a vehicle with a shore power cable anti-theft device Fig. 2: an inventive shore power cable anti-theft device Fig. 3: the base plate of the shore power cable anti-theft device made of Fig. 2.
[0016] Fig. 1 shows a vehicle according to the invention with a shore power cable theft protection device. The vehicle 20 can be a mobile home or a caravan, as shown here, or a watercraft such as a yacht. A shore power cable 30 is connected to a shore power connection 22 on the vehicle 20 and supplies it with shore power, usually at 230 volts. CEE plug connections are generally used. Below the shore power connection 22, on the surface 21 of the vehicle 20, a shore power cable theft protection device 1 is arranged, which secures the shore power cable 30 against theft. The other end of the shore power cable 30 (not shown here) is connected to a permanently installed socket at the parking space or, in the case of a watercraft, at the berth.
[0017] Fig. Figure 2 shows the shore power cable anti-theft device 1 according to the invention in detail. The shore power cable anti-theft device comprises a base plate 2, which can be connected to the vehicle 20, and a hasp 3. The base plate 2 and the hasp 3 are connected to each other with a hinge 5 so that the hasp 3 can be pivoted forward. A lock 4 locks the hasp 3 to the base plate 2, preventing the hasp from being pivoted forward by unauthorized persons.
[0018] In the closed state, a gap 6 is formed between the base plate 2 and the latch 3. A groove 7 is arranged in the gap. This groove can be machined half in the base plate 2 and half in the latch 2, as shown here. Alternatively, it can be machined completely in the base plate 2 or completely in the latch 3. The groove 7 is designed so that in the closed and locked state, the shore power cable 30 from Fig. 1 protected against theft. Ideally, the groove 7 is only slightly larger than the diameter of the shore power cable 30. The latch 3 can be opened to insert or remove the shore power cable 30.
[0019] The lock 4 can comprise a locking cylinder, as shown here, with the axis of the locking cylinder arranged perpendicular to the joint 6. This can be a pivot bolt lock. Such locks are known from published patent application DE 15 536 21. It can also be a sliding bolt lock, such as those used for cabinets or drawers.
[0020] The base plate 2 has a projection 10 in the area of the lock 4, in which an undercut 11 (not shown here) is incorporated, with which the pivoting or sliding bolt of the lock 4 interacts so that the shore power cable anti-theft device 1 can be locked.
[0021] Alternatively, the lock 4 can also be arranged in the base plate 2 and the undercut 11 can be arranged in the latch 3.
[0022] Alternatively, other locks or other locking directions can be provided.
[0023] The advantage of the shore power cable anti-theft device 1 according to the invention is that it can be constructed very flat. This allows it to be better integrated into the overall appearance of the vehicle 20 and does not pose a risk of injury in accidents involving people.
[0024] Rubber buffers in joint 6, not shown here, can prevent vibration while driving.
[0025] Fig. 3 shows in detail the base plate 2 from Fig. 2.
[0026] The base plate has in the projection 10 the previously described undercut 11 with which the bolt of the lock 4 interacts.
[0027] The holes 9 allow the shore power cable anti-theft device 1 to be attached to the vehicle 20 using screws or rivets. In the closed state, the holes 9 are covered by the latch 3. Fig. 2. Optionally or instead of the holes 9, the rear mounting surface 8 can be at least partially, better predominantly, flat, so that it serves as a contact surface for an adhesive connection with the surface 21 of the vehicle 20 from Fig. 1. An adhesive connection has the advantage that no holes need to be drilled into the vehicle 20.
