Description

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a basket arrangement for a device for treating objects by means of a liquid, in particular for ultrasonic cleaning, and to a treatment system comprising such a basket arrangement.

[0002] Ultrasonic systems are usually equipped with a basket in which the item to be treated can be immersed in the sink of the treatment device and removed again.

[0003] The aim is to make the mass and the grid structure as light as possible so that the ultrasound can be applied to the laundry with as little attenuation as possible.

[0004] In this procedure, the items to be washed are subjected to ultrasound and, depending on their properties and density, adhering soils are absorbed by the washing medium, settle at the bottom of the ultrasonic tank or float to the surface.

[0005] However, it's critical if the object being treated has holes, undercuts, or similar features. In this case, the ultrasound is effective, but the contaminants thus removed cannot find their way out of the holes and undercuts.

[0006] It is generally known to rotate a basket containing an object within the washing medium during ultrasonic treatment. However, the effort required for this is considerable.

[0007] Furthermore, objects to be treated are sometimes transferred from one treatment device (e.g. ultrasound) to the next treatment device (e.g. rinsing or drying) without changing the treatment basket.

[0008] Against this background, it is an object of the present disclosure to provide an improved basket arrangement for a device for treating objects by means of a liquid, in particular for ultrasonic cleaning, as well as an improved treatment system.

[0009] This object is achieved by a basket arrangement having the features of claim 1 and by a treatment system according to claim 16 and by a treatment method according to claim 17. Preferred embodiments can be found in the subclaims.

[0010] To find a solution, a basket has been developed that allows the basket to be rotated by a drive. This solution was used in ultrasonic tanks, but the drive receives its power supply through a contact to a treatment device during docking / immersion. This contact must also be ensured by the handling system during automated transfer from one treatment device (tank) to the next. If interruptions occur, the treatment basket remains in an undefined position.

[0011] Preferably, the present basket assembly is powered by a battery. In this case, it is, to put it simply, a battery-powered rotating unit for ultrasound systems.

[0012] It is understood that the features mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the combination specified in each case, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

[0013] Embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and explained in more detail in the following description. They show: Fig. 1 a schematic representation of a treatment system; Fig. 2 a perspective view of a treatment basket; Fig. 3 a perspective view of another treatment basket; Fig. 4 a perspective view of another basket arrangement; Fig. 5 a detailed view of Fig. 4; Fig. 6 a perspective view of a frame;

[0014] The figures illustrate preferred embodiments. Preferably, two batteries can be connected and positioned on the system. The electronics of the control unit preferably detect the battery status and, in a first step, indicate the status to the system operator via a lamp. If one battery reaches the end of its capacity, the second battery is automatically activated, and the status of the discharged battery is indicated on a display.

[0015] Various options can be selected via software: continuous rotation in one direction; alternating rotation with a specified number of revolutions in each direction; and / or tilting the basket in any direction by a programmed angle.

[0016] Additionally, the rotation can be activated, preferably via a water sensor, when the basket is inserted into the pool. It is also possible for the basket to return to its home position when the basket is lifted out of the pool.

[0017] The above actions can preferably be selected via a touch screen of a user interface.

[0018] Using the battery-operated basket arrangement, any existing treatment device (e.g., ultrasonic bath) can be converted into a rotating treatment system without the need for upgrades. Programming allows for the implementation of treatment / wash programs that are currently not possible with ultrasound systems. The intelligence is now assigned to the basket arrangement, not the treatment device. This allows a separate program to be run for each treatment basket. The program is assigned to the basket and, in a multi-stage system, is transferred from treatment device (e.g., ultrasonic bath) to treatment device (e.g., ultrasonic bath). Linking the treatment devices connected in series is therefore not necessary.

[0019] The drive system is realized by a geared motor (in particular a DC motor with a downstream reduction gear). A drive gear is attached to this. The second driven gear is connected to the first via a chain. The second gear is positioned so that it is immersed in the medium (treatment liquid) when the treatment basket is immersed in the liquid basin.

[0020] The motor is preferably equipped with a tachometer generator. This allows the motor speed to be measured. A position detector is mounted on the drive gear, which is detected by a sensor. This allows the system to detect the position at each revolution and reference it.

[0021] A submersion sensor detects whether the treatment basket is immersed in a medium. This allows us to determine whether the treatment basket is inside or outside the ultrasonic medium.

[0022] Two battery compartments on the housing accommodate the batteries. Additionally, there are indicator lights on the housing that indicate the battery status.
