AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The stability and vibration resistance of printed circuit boards in electronic modules are compromised due to limited mechanical fastening options, especially in central regions, and the connection of multiple boards is restricted by screw connections that require precise alignment and additional space.

Method used

A frame with strategically positioned screw-on points and positioning domes on both sides, integrated with outer struts and optionally reinforced by ribs, provides stable fastening and positioning for multiple circuit boards, allowing flexible assembly and blind mounting.

Benefits of technology

Enhances the stability and vibration resistance of circuit boards, facilitates flexible positioning, and enables secure electrical and signal connections without requiring precise alignment, optimizing assembly efficiency.

Abstract

A frame for connection to at least one printed circuit board is proposed, wherein the frame comprises: outer struts forming the frame, screwing points distributed over the outer struts on a frame side to be connected to a printed circuit board, and positioning domes arranged on the same side, distributed over the outer struts, and formed as fixing points. Furthermore, a system comprising a first printed circuit board and a frame is provided, wherein a surface of the first printed circuit board has screw holes and openings, and wherein the screwing points and the positioning domes of a first frame side of the frame are arranged such that they correspond to the screw holes and openings of the first printed circuit board, and wherein the first printed circuit board is connected to the first frame side of the frame via the screwing points.
