Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a frame system and a protective device for a building opening, in particular for a roof window opening, as well as a profile connector for connecting two profile strips.
[0002] To protect enclosure openings, such as window or door openings (balcony or patio doors), mountable insect, sun, particle, or pollen protection systems are used. These systems are installed in a profile or system frame, which in turn should cover the enclosure opening as completely as possible. The most flexible adaptation to different opening sizes is desirable.
[0003] Furthermore, both the frame installation and the simple insertion of a particle protection grid or mesh into the system frame are desirable. Furthermore, the system frame covered with the mesh (mesh or fabric) should be securely mounted at its intended location, especially at a door or window. Furthermore, the overall system should be as flexible as possible to allow adaptation to different on-site conditions for installation.
[0004] Such insect or pollen protection systems are usually provided as a modular installation kit for individual adaptation to different window or door dimensions, so that the system can be flexibly adapted to virtually all common building openings. Such an installation kit typically comprises a number of cut-to-length profile strips and an oversized mesh or protective fabric. The profile strips are mounted to the rectangular system frame using profile or corner connectors. A receiving chamber (keder groove) open towards the window or door frame serves to accommodate a keder, with which the mesh is attached and secured to the system frame. The mesh covers the frame opening of the system frame and thus the window opening, ensuring it is permeable to air, for example, to protect against the ingress of foreign objects.
[0005] Particular challenges arise when attaching such system frames to roof windows. Roof windows are often installed at an inclined angle and located in hard-to-reach areas, making the installation of system frames difficult. The installation should be designed in such a way that the protection system sits firmly and securely despite the window's inclination, while still allowing the roof window to be opened and closed as needed. It is also important to consider that roof windows often come in different sizes and shapes, requiring greater flexibility in the protection systems.
[0006] The invention is based on the object of providing a particularly suitable frame system for a building opening, in particular for a roof window opening. The invention is further based on the object of providing a particularly suitable protective device with such a frame system and a particularly suitable profile connector for such a frame system.
[0007] The object is achieved according to the invention with regard to the frame system having the features of claim 1, with regard to the protection system having the features of claim 15, and with regard to the profile connector having the features of claim 17. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject of the dependent claims (subclaims).
[0008] The advantages and features mentioned with regard to the frame system can also be applied to the protection system and / or the profile connector and vice versa.
[0009] The conjunction “and / or” is to be understood here and in the following in such a way that the features linked by this conjunction can be formed both together and as alternatives to one another.
[0010] The frame system according to the invention is intended for, and is suitable and configured for, a building opening, in particular a roof window opening. The frame system preferably comprises a number of profile strips according to the invention and a number of profile or corner connectors according to the invention, wherein the profile connectors are inserted into the profile strips to be connected to create a frame corner.
[0011] In a preferred application, the frame system is part of a protective device for a building opening, in particular for a roof window opening. At least one protective fabric is attached to the frame system, which preferably completely covers a frame opening.
[0012] A "roof window" is understood here and below to mean a window in the roof of a building. In particular, this refers to a so-called horizontal roof window or skylight, which is set into the roof surface at the same angle of inclination as the roof. Such a roof window can be tilted or pivoted around a horizontal central axis for opening.
[0013] A "roof window opening" is a building opening for a roof window, i.e., a building opening in the roof of a building. The roof window opening is typically surrounded on the inside of the building by a roof window reveal.
[0014] The following information regarding the spatial directions is also given for an example installation situation of the frame system or the profile strips and profile connectors in a roof window reveal. The term “(frame) front side” or “(frame) front side” is understood to mean the side which, when installed, faces the interior of the building, i.e., away from the roof window. Correspondingly, the term “(frame) rear side” is understood to mean the side which, when installed, faces away from the interior of the building, i.e., towards the roof window or the exterior of the building. The term “inside side” is understood to mean a side which, when installed or assembled, faces the inside of the frame system, i.e., a side which extends along an inner circumference of the frame system.Accordingly, an "outer side" refers to the side that extends along the outer perimeter of the frame system when installed or assembled. The outer side thus faces the roof window reveal when installed.
[0015] The frame system comprises a number of profile strips that are assembled or can be assembled to form a system frame (profile frame, support frame) for supporting the preferably insect-, particle-, and / or pollen-impermeable mesh. The profile strips are designed as hollow profiles with open ends and are mounted, depending on their installation situation, as at least two vertically extending longitudinal profiles (vertical profile) and at least two horizontally extending transverse profiles (horizontal profile).
[0016] The hollow-profile profile strips are, for example, cut-to-length metal profiles, particularly made of aluminum. Their cross-section is preferably essentially rectangular, although square designs are also conceivable. The front of the profile strips is essentially smooth, creating a visually appealing frame system. The front can also, for example, have a convex curve toward the outside of the frame, thus enabling a visually appealing transition to a surrounding building wall.
[0017] In a square or rectangular design, for example, the frame system comprises four profile strips, with two profile strips arranged as vertically arranged vertical profiles and two profile strips arranged as horizontal profiles oriented perpendicularly or horizontally. The profile strips, or the vertical and horizontal profiles, are joined together at the four frame corners using a profile connector. Two profile strips, in particular a longitudinal profile and a transverse profile, can thus be connected or joined in a frame corner area using a profile connector (corner connector) to form a stable frame corner.
[0018] The profile connector comprises a corner piece with two laterally extending joining legs. The joining legs are oriented perpendicular to each other and can each be inserted into a corresponding profile strip at the end face to form the frame corner. A clamping element is arranged on an outer side of the corner piece, i.e., on the side of the corner piece facing an edge or reveal of the building opening when assembled. This clamping element allows the system frame, which can be assembled from the profile strips and profile connectors, to be clamped, particularly force-fitting, in the building opening or its reveal.
[0019] A "positive connection" or a "positive connection" between at least two interconnected parts is understood here and below in particular to mean that the interconnected parts are prevented from sliding against each other due to a frictional force acting between them. If a "connecting force" causing this frictional force (this means the force that presses the parts against each other, for example, a screw force or the force of gravity itself) is missing, the positive connection cannot be maintained and can therefore be released.
[0020] This creates a particularly suitable frame system that can be clamped non-destructively into the building opening or reveal using the clamping elements of the profile connectors. The clamping elements of the profile connectors are arranged, for example, in pairs opposite one another. For example, the clamping elements of the frame corners are oriented along the longitudinal profiles for a longitudinal clamping fastening, in which the clamping force for securing the system frame is oriented along the longitudinal profiles. Alternatively, the clamping elements of the frame corners are oriented along the transverse profiles for a transverse clamping fastening, in which the clamping force for securing the system frame is oriented along the transverse profiles.
[0021] In an advantageous embodiment, each profile strip has a receiving chamber for a sealing element, a first piping chamber for a first piping-like holding element, and a joining chamber arranged therebetween for receiving a joining leg.
[0022] The receiving chamber is open at the front and via a longitudinal profile slot running along the outer side of the frame. The receiving chamber is therefore designed as a receiving groove, in particular as a retaining groove, preferably as a C-slot or T-slot, for the sealing element. The sealing element is drawn into the receiving chamber, for example, at the front and protrudes at least partially outwards from the profile strip via the longitudinal profile slot. This allows the system frame to be sealed against the building opening or reveal when installed, thus protecting it from the ingress of foreign bodies (pollen, insects, etc.). The sealing element is designed, for example, as a sealing brush.
[0023] The first piping chamber is provided and configured to receive a first retaining element for fastening a first protective fabric that can be stretched in the system frame. The first piping chamber is open at the end faces of the profile and via a longitudinal profile slot, which is arranged in particular on the rear of the frame. The first piping chamber is thus designed as a piping groove, in particular as a retaining groove, preferably as a C-groove or T-groove, for the first retaining element. The first retaining element can be pressed into the first piping chamber of the corner part via the longitudinal profile slot for fastening the first protective fabric to the frame. The piping-like first retaining element is designed in particular as a flexurally elastic or rubber-elastic piping strip or as a piping cord, which is inserted into the first piping chamber, for example, using a piping tool.
[0024] The joining chamber is only open at the front, meaning that the joining chamber forms a circumferentially closed channel for accommodating the joining legs. When connected, the joining leg thus engages the joining chamber with a positive and / or force fit.
[0025] A "positive connection" or a "positive connection" between at least two interconnected parts is understood here and below in particular to mean that the interconnected parts are held together at least in one direction by a direct interlocking of the contours of the parts themselves or by an indirect interlocking via an additional connecting part. The "blocking" of mutual movement in this direction is therefore due to the shape.
[0026] For example, the joining leg has a certain oversize with respect to the joining chamber so that a stable, force-locking connection is realized between the profile connector and the profile strip when inserted or pressed in.
[0027] An additional or further aspect of the invention provides that the profile strips are designed with a double piping. This means that, in addition to the first piping chamber, each profile strip has a second piping chamber, which is arranged between the joining chamber and the first piping chamber.
[0028] The second piping chamber is provided and configured to receive a second retaining element for fastening a second protective fabric that can be stretched in the system frame. The second piping chamber is open at the end faces of the profile and via a longitudinal profile slot, which is arranged in particular on the front of the frame. The second piping chamber is therefore designed as a piping groove, in particular as a retaining groove, preferably as a C-groove or T-groove, for the second retaining element. The second retaining element can be pressed into the second piping chamber of the corner part via the longitudinal profile slot for fastening the second protective fabric to the frame. The piping-like second retaining element is designed in particular as a flexurally elastic or rubber-elastic piping strip or as a piping cord, which is inserted into the second piping chamber using a piping tool, for example.
[0029] In a preferred embodiment, the longitudinal profile slots of the first and second piping chambers are open toward opposite frame sides. In particular, the first piping chamber or its longitudinal profile slot is open toward a rear side of the frame, and the second piping chamber or its longitudinal profile slot is open toward a front side of the frame.
[0030] The two piping chambers of the profile strips make it possible to attach or stretch two separate protective fabrics to the system frame. This makes it possible to implement the functions of two different protective fabrics with one frame system. The first protective fabric is attached to the back of the frame using the first retaining elements in the first piping chambers, and the second protective fabric is attached to the front of the frame using the second retaining elements in the second piping chambers. For example, an insect screen fabric is attached to the back of the frame and a sun protection fabric to the front of the frame, or vice versa.
[0031] In a practical development, the clamping element has a clamping plate that partially encompasses the corner piece. The clamping plate is designed, for example, with a roughly U-shaped cross-section, with the corner piece sitting in the U-shaped opening and thus enclosed by the clamping plate on at least three sides in sections. The corner piece thus also acts as a guide or support for the clamping plate during the clamping process.
[0032] A cushion, i.e., an elastic (contact) pad, is arranged on the outside of the clamping plate, forming a contact surface against one edge of the building opening, i.e., the reveal. The cushion ensures that the building opening or its reveal is not damaged by the clamping. Furthermore, the cushion improves the frictional or force-fit connection between the clamping element and the building opening or reveal, enabling a particularly stable clamping attachment.
[0033] The clamping plate is spring-loaded outward by a spring element. In other words, the spring element pushes the clamping plate outward away from the corner piece. The clamping force for securing the system frame is therefore primarily a spring force. The spring force or spring deflection enables particularly easy insertion and removal of the system frame into the building opening or reveal. Furthermore, the spring elasticity during the clamp fastening allows for a certain tolerance compensation with regard to the outer contour of the system frame and the inner contour of the reveal.
[0034] In one possible embodiment, the corner piece has a laterally open recess in the area of the clamping element. The clamping element can be attached to the corner piece using the recess.
[0035] In one conceivable embodiment, a sleeve-shaped retaining receptacle is arranged coaxially within the recess, with the spring element being placed onto the retaining receptacle. The spring element is designed, in particular, as a spiral spring (compression spring, helical spring) that is placed onto the retaining receptacle. The spring body of the spring element is thus positioned between an inner wall of the recess and an outer wall of the retaining receptacle. This ensures reliable support and mounting of the spring element, both in a relaxed and compressed state.
[0036] In a practical development, the clamping plate has a guide extension projecting upwards toward the corner piece, which is mounted in the recess, in particular in the retaining receptacle, for linear displacement. The guide extension is thus inserted or inserted into the external opening of the recess or the retaining receptacle. Guiding the clamping plate by means of the guide extension ensures that the clamping plate is mounted on the corner piece for linear movement essentially without tilting. This ensures that the spring or clamping force direction is always oriented along the guide direction, thus enabling a reliable and safe clamping fastening in the building opening or reveal.
[0037] In a preferred embodiment, the guide extension has a locking lug on the free end, i.e. on a free end facing away from the clamping plate. The locking lug is latched or clipped into the recess or the holding receptacle; in particular, the recess or holding receptacle is partially engaged behind by the locking lug. The rear engagement creates a positive fit in the guide direction, i.e. along a longitudinal direction of the recess or the holding receptacle or the guide extension. As a result, the clamping element is securely fastened to the corner piece. The rear engagement also creates a mechanical stop that limits the maximum distance between the clamping plate and the outside of the corner piece. Limiting the distance ensures that the spring element is held under a certain mechanical preload even when not clamped.
[0038] The distance is preferably dimensioned to be less than or equal to the projection of a sealing element inserted into the receiving chamber, ensuring that no gap or clear space forms between the sealing element and the reveal when the system frame is clamped. This reliably and easily prevents the penetration of foreign bodies.
[0039] In one conceivable design, a receptacle that is open at the rear of the frame and into which the recess or holding receptacle opens is introduced into the corner piece. When the spring element is compressed or tensioned, the clamping plate is pressed towards the corner piece, whereby the guide extension is moved into the holding receptacle. The receptacle thereby realizes an adjustment path for the guide extension, with the opening edge of the recess or holding receptacle on the receptacle side serving as a counter contour for the locking lug of the guide extension. Through the opening at the rear of the frame, the locking lug is accessible from the outside when the recess or holding receptacle is engaged, so that the engagement or positive connection between the locking lug and the recess or holding receptacle can be released as required.
[0040] In an advantageous embodiment, the corner part has a first piping chamber and / or a second piping chamber arranged on the inside of the frame and running diagonally, which connects the first piping chambers and / or the second piping chambers of the profile strips to one another at a frame corner. The first piping chamber and / or second piping chamber is opened by means of a correspondingly diagonally running longitudinal slot, wherein the longitudinal slot is arranged complementarily to the corresponding profile longitudinal slot of the first and / or second piping chamber on the profile strip side. The piping chambers are thus designed in particular as piping grooves of the corner part. This enables attachment of the at least one protective fabric right up to the frame corner area. In particular, both protective fabrics can thus be piped or attached to the system frame in a substantially circumferentially closed manner.
[0041] In an advantageous development, the frame system has a profile connector for a linear connection of two profile strips. In contrast to a corner connector, the joining legs of this profile connector are arranged in a straight line relative to each other. The profile connector is thus designed for a straight or linearly aligned connection of two profile strips at the end face. When assembled, the profile connector effectively acts as a profile extender, allowing two short profile strips to be effectively combined to form a single long profile strip. The linear profile connector represents a separate invention, independent of the frame system.
[0042] In one conceivable embodiment, a handle is attached or can be attached to one of the profile strips. This simplifies handling of the frame system or system frame during assembly. The handle represents a separate invention, independent of the frame system.
[0043] The handle, for example, has a gripping part with a window-like recess through which a user can reach to handle the protective system, so that the gripping part can be grasped in sections.
[0044] To secure the handle, the grip part has a holding section on the outside of the frame that is angled toward the inside of the frame in a roughly U- or L-shaped manner. The holding section extends through the longitudinal profile slot of the receiving chamber, so that the holding extension, which, for example, resembles a slotted nut, fits positively into the receiving chamber.
[0045] Depending on the design of the holding section, for example, an L-shaped holding section enables a 90° offset orientation of the handle part to the mounting direction (direction of the section of the holding section that passes through the profile longitudinal slot), whereas a U-shaped holding section enables a 180° offset orientation.
[0046] The protection system according to the invention is designed in particular as a protective roof window, i.e., as a protection system for a roof window. The protection system comprises a frame system as described above and at least one protective grille that can be attached thereto.
[0047] In a typical embodiment, the protection system is designed according to a modular principle. This means that, for example, the profile strips and the at least one protective mesh are manufactured and supplied in various standard sizes, allowing a user to assemble a customized system for different building openings. This simply and advantageously increases the flexibility of the protection system and thus enables adaptation to different on-site conditions for installation. For this purpose, the profile strips, in particular, are designed to be cut to length. This further increases the flexibility of the protection system and simplifies its use, for example, in older buildings with variable opening dimensions.
[0048] The protective system preferably comprises two net- or grid-like protective fabrics, both of which are or can be attached to the frame system. In other words, the frame system, or the profile strips and the profile connectors, are designed such that two separate protective fabrics can be attached to the frame system. Preferably, the frame system, or the profile strips and / or profile connectors, has an associated piping chamber (piping groove) for each protective fabric, into which a retaining element, in particular a piping strip, can be inserted, in particular pressed, for the preferably clamping attachment and tensioning of the respective protective fabric.
[0049] For example, one protective fabric is arranged or attached to a frame front and the other protective fabric is arranged or attached to a frame rear.
[0050] To enable collision-free pivoting of the roof window around its central axis, the frame system is preferably mounted in the roof window reveal at a distance from the roof window when installed. To operate the roof window, an opening is provided in the or each protective fabric through which a user can reach to open or close the roof window. Preferably, a zipper is incorporated into each protective fabric so that the (protective fabric) openings can be reversibly opened as needed.
[0051] The protective fabric(s) are designed, for example, as a particle protection grid, for example a pollen and / or dust and / or soot and / or insect protection grid, or as a sun protection fabric, for example a sun protection grid for reducing heat and solar radiation. Preferably, the protective system, when assembled, is fitted with a particle protection grid, preferably a combined pollen, dust, soot, and insect protection grid, and a combined sun and insect protection grid.
[0052] The profile connector according to the invention is intended for connecting two profile strips and is suitable and configured for this purpose. The profile connector is particularly suitable and configured for a frame system as described above. The profile connector has a corner piece with two upstanding joining legs. The joining legs are arranged perpendicular to one another and can be inserted into the profile strips at the end faces to form a right-angled frame corner. A clamping element for clamping a system frame having the frame corner into a building opening is arranged on an outer side of the corner piece. This creates a particularly suitable profile connector.
[0053] Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing. In the drawings: Fig. 1 in front view the protective device with a frame system, Fig. 2 in perspective view an upper frame corner of the frame system with a view of a front side, Fig. 3 in perspective view the upper frame corner of the frame system with a view to a rear side, Fig. 4 in perspective exploded view the upper frame corner, Fig. 5 in sectional view a profile strip of the frame system, Fig. 6 to 10 show different views of a profile connector of the frame system, Fig. 11 in rear view the protective device in a second embodiment, Fig. 12 in sectional view a profile strip of the frame system according to the second embodiment, Fig. 13 shows a perspective view of the upper frame corner of the frame system according to the second embodiment, looking towards a rear side, Fig. 14 in perspective exploded view the upper frame corner according to the second embodiment, Fig. 15, Fig. 16 shows a perspective view of a profile connector of the frame system according to the second embodiment, Fig. 17 shows a perspective view of a section of a system frame of the frame system according to the second embodiment with two profile strips which are joined in a straight line by means of a profile connector, and Fig. 18 shows a perspective exploded view of a section of the system frame according to the second embodiment.
[0054] Corresponding parts and sizes are always provided with the same reference symbols in all figures.
[0055] The Fig. Figure 1 shows a front view of a protective device 2 for a building opening (not shown in detail), in particular for a roof window opening. The protective device 2 has a rectangular system frame in the form of a frame system 4, which is composed of a number of profile strips 6. In the Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the system frame of the frame system 4 is composed, for example, of four profile strips 6.
[0056] Two protective fabrics 8, 10 are attached to the frame system 4. The protective fabrics 8, 10 are in the Fig. 1 is shown only in part. For example, two pipings are provided for attaching the protective fabrics 8, 10. The frame system 4 thus has a double piping in the profile strips 6 for attaching the protective fabrics 8, 10. For example, the protective fabric 8 is attached to a piping on the front of the frame, and the protective fabric 10 is attached to a piping on the rear of the frame.
[0057] The Fig. 2 to Fig. 4 shows an upper left corner of the frame system 4.
[0058] The profile strips 6 are designed as approximately rectangular hollow profiles, whereby the Fig. 5 a cross-section of the profile strips 6 along the section line VV according to Fig. 1. The profile strips 6 are preferably designed to be as flat as possible; in particular, the profile strips 6 have a height of less than 1 cm (centimeter), for example.
[0059] As in the Fig. 5, the profile strips 6 each have a peripherally closed joining chamber 12 and two piping chambers 14, 16 as well as a receiving chamber 18.
[0060] The chambers 12, 14, 16, and 18 are arranged side by side. The joining chamber 12 is located between the receiving chamber 18 on the outside of the frame and the piping chamber 16, with the piping chamber 14 being arranged next to the piping chamber 16. The chambers 12, 14, 16, and 18 are open toward the end faces of the profile strips.
[0061] The receiving chamber 18 is arranged on the outer side of the frame and is open and accessible to the outer side of the frame by means of a longitudinal profile slot 20. The receiving chamber 18 is thus designed in particular as a receiving groove, which has, for example, a C- or T-shaped cross-section. The receiving chamber 18 on the outer side of the frame is designed to accommodate a sealing element 21 in the form of a sealing brush. The receiving chamber 18 is also referred to below as a sealing or brush channel (sealing groove, brush groove).
[0062] The piping chamber 14 is arranged on the inside of the frame and is opened and accessible via a longitudinal profile slot 22 on the rear of the frame. The piping chamber 14 is thus designed in particular as a piping groove with a substantially C- or T-shaped cross-section. A retaining element 23 ( Fig. 13) for fastening and / or tensioning the protective fabric 10. The holding element 23 is preferably designed as a piping strip.
[0063] The piping chamber 16, located between the piping chamber 14 and the joining chamber 12, is open and accessible via a longitudinal profile slot 24 on the front side of the frame. The piping chamber 16 is thus designed, in particular, as a piping groove with a substantially C- or T-shaped cross-section. In particular, the piping chambers 14 and 16 have substantially the same cross-sectional shape, with the piping chambers 14 and 16 differing only with respect to the orientation of the longitudinal profile slots 22 and 24. A retaining element 23 for fastening and / or tensioning the protective fabric 8 can also be pressed into the front-side piping chamber 16.
[0064] The longitudinal profile slots 20, 22, 24 extend over the entire length of the profile strips 6. The profile strips 6 can be made of plastic, for example, but are preferably made of a metal, in particular aluminum. The profile strips 6 are designed, for example, as extruded parts.
[0065] In the area of the frame corner there is a Fig. 6 to 10, individually illustrated profile connectors 26 are inserted into the joining chambers 12 of the profile strips 6. In this way, the four corner regions of the system frame, which is preferably composed of four such profile strips 6, namely two longitudinal and two transverse profiles (or vertical and horizontal profiles), are formed.
[0066] The profile connector 26 has two joining legs 28 arranged perpendicular to each other, which merge in a corner region in a single piece, i.e., monolithically, into a corner part (corner body) 30. The profile connector 26 thus has an approximately L-shaped design and is also referred to below as a corner connector 26. The corner connector 26 is preferably made of a plastic. Alternatively, the corner connector 30 can also be made of aluminum.
[0067] In the assembled state, the joining legs 28 of the corner connector 26 are essentially completely seated in the joining chambers 12 of the profile strips 6 to be connected. In other words, the joining legs 28 are preferably inserted or pressed into the joining chambers 12 in a form-fitting and / or force-fitting manner.
[0068] The approximately rectangular corner piece 30 has a receiving chamber 32, which is formed on one of the outer edges or surfaces of the frame. In the illustrated embodiment, the receiving chamber 32 is arranged on an upper edge or top side for a profile connector 26 mounted in the upper frame corners, and correspondingly on a lower edge or bottom side for a profile connector 26 mounted in the lower frame corners.
[0069] In the assembled or joined state, the receiving chamber 32 is aligned with the receiving chamber 18 of the joined profile strip 6. The receiving chamber 32 has essentially the same cross-sectional shape as the receiving chamber 18. This allows the sealing element 21 to extend uninterrupted to the frame corner, thus achieving a particularly reliable seal. The receiving chamber 32 is open to the outside with a corresponding, unspecified, longitudinal slot, which merges into the profile longitudinal slot 20 in the plug-in state.
[0070] The corner part 30 has two corner-mounted piping chambers 34, 36 on a corner facing the inside of the frame. In this exemplary embodiment, the piping chambers 34 and 36 are approximately quarter-circular or curved. The piping chambers 34, 36 are designed to be complementary to the piping chambers 14, 16. The inside piping chamber 34 is opened by a slot towards the rear of the frame, while the outside piping chamber 36 is opened by a slot towards the front of the frame. The piping chambers 34, 36 are thus designed as piping grooves. In the assembled state, the piping chamber 34 is aligned with the piping chambers 14 of the two connected profile strips 6, and the piping chamber 36 is correspondingly aligned with the piping chambers 16 of the profile strips 6.
[0071] The piping chambers 14, 34 and 16, 36 of the profile strips 6 and profile connectors 26 thus essentially form two circumferential piping chambers or piping grooves in the assembled or joined state, which extend virtually uninterrupted around the circumference of the frame opening ( Fig. 2, Fig. 3). This allows the protective fabrics 8, 10 to be attached to the frame system 4 along the entire outer circumference.
[0072] For installation, the frame system 4 is preferably clamped non-destructively into a roof window opening or into a roof window reveal. For this purpose, the profile connectors 26, in particular their corner bodies 32, each have a clamping element 37 with a spring-loaded clamping plate 38.
[0073] The clamping plate 38 is arranged on the edge of the corner body 32 adjacent to the receiving chamber 32. A support cushion (pad) 40 is attached, for example, glued, to the clamping plate 38. The support cushion 40 forms an elastic, padded, or cushioned contact surface on the reveal during the clamping process, thereby advantageously preventing damage to the reveal.
[0074] The clamping plate 38 has an approximately U-shaped cross-section, with the horizontal U-leg facing the reveal. For example, an approximately rectangular recess or depression 42 is formed in the outer side of the horizontal U-leg, into which the support cushion 40 can be inserted with a positive fit. The vertical U-legs of the clamping plate 38 at least partially encompass the front and rear sides of the corner part 32 and thus counteract the tilting of the clamping plate 38.
[0075] The clamping plate 38 is supported against the corner part 30 by a spring element 44, in particular by a spiral, helical, or compression spring, so that a spring force pushes the clamping plate 38 outward away from the corner part 30. The clamping plate 38 is thus movable toward the corner part 30 against the spring force of the spring element 44.
[0076] A circular, blind-hole-like recess 46 is formed in the outer side of the corner piece 30, on which the clamping plate 38 is arranged. An approximately tubular or hollow-cylindrical retaining receptacle 48 is arranged coaxially to the recess 46. The recess 46 has a base 49 on which the spring element 44 is supported. The base 49 holds the retaining receptacle 48 centered relative to the recess 46. The retaining receptacle 48 is open toward the outer side of the frame and toward a receptacle 50 in the corner piece 30 that is offset from the outer side. The approximately blind-hole-like receptacle 50 is formed in the rear side of the corner piece 30.
[0077] The clamping plate 38 has, on an inner side of the horizontal U-leg facing the corner part 30, a vertically upstanding guide extension (joining extension) 52 with a free-end locking lug 54.
[0078] For assembly, the spring element 44 is inserted into the recess 46 or placed on the outside of the holding receptacle 48. The joining extension 52 is then inserted into the central opening of the holding receptacle 48, and the clamping plate 38 is pressed towards the corner part 30 so that the free end of the guide extension 52 passes through the receptacle-side opening of the holding receptacle 48, and the locking lug 54 locks into the receptacle 50 or with the opening edge of the holding receptacle 48 within the receptacle 50. The locking lug 54 engages behind the opening edge in a form-fitting manner along the longitudinal direction of the guide extension 52. The locking state of the locking lug 54 can be visually checked through the rear opening of the receptacle 50. Furthermore, the locking lug 54 is thus accessible so that the locking can be released if necessary.
[0079] In the locked state, the locking lug 54 thus limits the displacement path of the clamping plate 38 and holds the spring element 44 at a certain mechanical pre-tension, so that the frame system 4 is seated in the reveal with as little vibration or rattle as possible.
[0080] As particularly in the Fig. As can be seen in Figure 1, the clamping elements 37 of the profile connectors 26 are arranged in pairs opposite one another, thus providing a clamping fastening in the transverse direction. The clamping elements 37 are arranged on the profile connectors 26 or corner pieces 30 in such a way that the clamping plates 38 are located on the outer side, which is opposite the side on which the joining leg 28 is inserted into the transverse profile.
[0081] The following is based on the Fig. 11 to 18 show a second exemplary embodiment of the protective device 2, which comprises a frame system 4 with a system frame composed of six profile strips 6. In contrast to the exemplary embodiment described above, only one protective fabric 8 is attached to the system frame.
[0082] The Fig. Figure 12 shows a sectional view of the profile strip 6 in this embodiment. As can be clearly seen in the sectional view, the profile strip 6 in this embodiment has only the receiving chamber 18, the joining chamber 12, and the piping chamber 14 open at the rear of the frame. The joining chamber 12 is designed to be wider than in the first embodiment.
[0083] In this embodiment, the clamping elements 37 of the profile connectors 26 are arranged in pairs opposite one another, thus achieving a clamping fastening in the longitudinal direction. The clamping elements 37 are arranged on the profile connectors 26 or corner pieces 30 in such a way that the clamping plates 38 are located on the outer side, which is opposite the side on which the joining leg 28 is inserted into the longitudinal profile.
[0084] As can be seen particularly in the representations of the Fig. 15 and Fig. As can be seen in Figure 16, the profile connector 26 also has only the piping chamber 34, whereby the piping chamber 36 open at the front is omitted. The piping chamber 34 is guided at right angles across the corner. In this embodiment, the cross-sectional shape of the joining legs 28 is adapted accordingly to the cross-sectional shape of the joining chamber 12.
[0085] In this embodiment, the corner piece 30 does not have a retaining receptacle 48. The recess 46 opens into the receptacle 50 via an opening in the base 49. To secure the clamping element 37, the guide extension 52 thus extends through the recess 46 in this embodiment.
[0086] The bottom opening of the recess 46 has a reduced diameter compared to the outer opening of the recess 46. The diameter is dimensioned smaller than a diameter of the spring element 44, so that the spring element 44 is reliably supported on the bottom 49. The diameter is dimensioned greater than or equal to the diameter of the guide extension 52, so that the guide extension 52, in particular with the locking lug 54, is movable in the receptacle 50. The locking lug 54 engages behind the receptacle-side opening edge of the recess 46 to hold the clamping plate 38 on the corner part 30.
[0087] In the Fig. 11, four profile strips 6 are arranged as cross strips, with two profile strips 6 each extending in a straight line over a section which is subsequently shown in the Fig. 17 and Fig. 18. The profile connector 56 is designed for a frontal and straight or linearly aligned connection of two profile strips 6. In the area of the profile connector 56, a handle 58 is also attached to one of the profile strips 6.
[0088] The profile connector 56 has a central part 60 with two joining legs 62 extending therefrom in opposite directions, which can be inserted into the joining chambers 12 of the profile strips 6 at the front. The joining legs 62 essentially have the same cross-sectional shape as the joining legs 28.
[0089] When assembled, the profile connector 56 effectively acts as a profile extender, allowing two short profile strips 6 to be stably combined to form one long profile strip. When inserted, the center section 60 forms a front stop for the profile strips 6.
[0090] On the front side of the frame, a cover part (panel) 64 is molded onto the center part 60, which visually conceals the adjacent end faces of the profile strips 6. This conceals the front cut edges of the profile strips 6 that occur during cutting.
[0091] The handle 58 has a grip part 66 with a window-like recess 68, which can be reached through by a user to handle the protection system 2, so that the grip part 66 can be grasped in sections.
[0092] In the assembled state, the handle part 66 rests in sections on a frame side opposite the protective fabric 8. In the illustrated embodiment, the protective fabric 8 is arranged on the rear side of the frame, with the handle part 66 correspondingly positioned on the front side of the frame. Thus, the handle part 66 does not rest directly on the protective fabric 8. In particular, an engagement depth (i.e., a distance between the handle part 66 and the protective grille 8) is provided for gripping or grasping the handle part 66, which essentially corresponds to the installation depth of the profile strips 6. This allows the handle part 66 to be easily gripped in the assembled state of the protection system 2.
[0093] The handle 58 is attached to one of the profile strips 6. For this purpose, the handle part 66 has a holding section 70 on the outside of the frame, which is angled approximately U-shaped towards the inside of the frame and has a holding extension 72. The holding section 70 engages around the chamber wall of the receiving chamber 18 on the front side of the frame and extends through the longitudinal profile slot 20. In other words, the holding section 70 is at least partially seated in the longitudinal profile slot 20. On the free end, the holding section 70 has a holding extension 72, which in cross-section has, for example, a slot-block-like cross-section and which, in the assembled state, sits positively in the receiving chamber 18 and thus fixes the handle 58 to the profile strip 6.
[0094] For fastening, the holding extension 72 is pushed into the receiving chamber 18 at the front. The handle 58 is thus keyed into the brush channel. A corresponding design of the holding section 70 enables an orientation of the handle part 66 offset by 90° to 180° relative to the mounting direction, allowing the handle 58 to be used particularly flexibly in different installation situations. In the embodiment shown, the holding section 70, due to its U-shaped configuration, realizes a 180° orientation of the handle part 66 relative to the holding extension 72. However, the holding section 70 can also be designed in an L-shape, for example, for an orientation offset by 90°.
[0095] The claimed invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments described above. Rather, other variants of the invention can also be derived therefrom by those skilled in the art within the scope of the disclosed claims without departing from the subject matter of the claimed invention. In particular, all individual features described in connection with the various exemplary embodiments can also be combined in other ways within the scope of the disclosed claims without departing from the subject matter of the claimed invention.
[0096] Thus, the profile connector 56 is also inventive in itself and thus represents an independent invention.
[0097] Furthermore, the handle 58 also represents an independent invention.
