Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a hybrid module and a powertrain comprising the hybrid module for a motor vehicle.
[0002] Currently available hybrid modules, which combine electric and combustion engine operation by coupling an internal combustion engine to a vehicle's powertrain, typically consist of an electric motor, a disconnect clutch, its actuation system, bearings, and housing components that unite these three main components into a functional unit. The electric motor enables electric driving, provides power to supplement the combustion engine, and allows for energy recuperation. The disconnect clutch and its actuation system engage and disengage the combustion engine. When a hybrid module is combined with a dual-clutch transmission such that the hybrid module is located between the combustion engine and the transmission in the direction of torque transmission, the combustion engine, the hybrid module, the dual-clutch transmission with its actuation systems, and the transmission must be arranged either sequentially or in parallel within the vehicle.
[0003] A hybrid module positioned in this way is also referred to as a P2 hybrid module. However, such an arrangement very often leads to significant installation space problems. DE 10 2009 059 944 A1 discloses a hybrid module which has the disconnect clutch within the rotor of an electric machine. Partial clutches of a double-clutch device are arranged axially offset next to the rotor of the electric machine and thus also next to the disconnect clutch. The partial clutches are radially nested within one another. The actuation systems for the individual clutches are arranged axially offset next to these clutches.
[0004] German patent DE 10 2007 008 946 A1 discloses a multi-clutch design for a vehicle with a hybrid drive. In this hybrid module, two friction clutches are arranged within the space enclosed by the rotor of the electric machine. The available installation space in the hybrid module is largely determined by the electric machine used and its laminated core. Despite the resulting compactness of the hybrid module, further minimization of the installation space occupied by the hybrid module is being pursued in order to integrate the hybrid module into existing vehicle powertrains.
[0005] Further prior art is referenced to DE 10 2011 100 256 A1, which discloses a hybrid module according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0006] Another, conventional hybrid module is in Fig. Figure 1 shows that a coolant is supplied to the clutches via a first transmission input shaft 94. This embodiment therefore requires a fluid channel in the first transmission input shaft 94 for the purpose of transporting the coolant.
[0007] Accordingly, the first transmission input shaft 94 must be dimensioned and consequently also the second transmission input shaft 95 which coaxially surrounds it.
[0008] Although in this conventional embodiment a rotary feedthrough 90 on side 13 provides a pressure fluid supply 91 and a coolant supply 92, combined with a sliding seal 93, for connecting a gearbox, such a rotary feedthrough 90 also requires considerable installation space.
[0009] Based on this, the present invention aims to provide a hybrid module and a drive train for a motor vehicle that have a long service life with a small axial installation space.
[0010] This problem is solved by the hybrid module according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of this hybrid module are specified in dependent claims 2 to 8. A further aspect of the present invention is a powertrain of a motor vehicle according to claim 9, which comprises the hybrid module according to the invention.
[0011] The features of the claims can be combined in any technically meaningful way, taking into account the explanations from the following description as well as features from the figures, which include supplementary embodiments of the invention. Within the scope of the present invention, the terms radial and axial always refer to the axis of rotation of the hybrid module.
[0012] The invention relates to a hybrid module for a motor vehicle for coupling an internal combustion engine and a transmission, comprising an electric motor and, within a housing, a disconnect clutch by which torque can be transmitted from the internal combustion engine to the hybrid module and by which the hybrid module can be disconnected from the internal combustion engine, and a dual-clutch device. The dual-clutch device allows torque to be transmitted from the electric motor and / or from the disconnect clutch to a drive train. According to the invention, at least one coolant line is arranged in or on an intermediate wall formed by the housing. The hybrid module according to the invention can also be configured such that the electric motor is also arranged in the housing, preferably coaxially with the axis of rotation of the clutch devices. The dual-clutch device has a first partial clutch and a second partial clutch.
[0013] The coolant line or its opening into the interior formed by the housing of the hybrid module is designed in such a way that preferably the disconnect coupling can be cooled by the coolant supplied by the coolant line, and / or also the partial couplings of the dual coupling.
[0014] This has the advantage that the clutch(es) can also be cooled from the side of the hybrid module facing the connection of an internal combustion engine, thus eliminating the need for a further coolant supply via a central shaft, such as a hollow-drilled inner transmission input shaft, from the transmission connection side. Preferably, this allows coolant to be supplied to the disconnect clutch and a first partial clutch of the dual-clutch system.
[0015] In an alternative embodiment, the hybrid module, in addition to the coolant supply via the partition wall, has a further coolant supply from the side of the hybrid module, which is designed for connection to a transmission. Due to the arrangement of a coolant line in or on the partition wall of the housing on the combustion engine side, as provided for in the invention, this further coolant supply can be dimensioned accordingly smaller. In this way, cooling by means of coolant can take place both from the side of the combustion engine to be connected and from the side of the transmission to be connected.
[0016] At least one of the couplings, in particular the disconnect coupling, should be associated with a fluid-operated actuating system and a pressure fluid line to which the actuating system is fluidically connected, wherein, according to the invention, the coolant line is arranged at least partially alongside the pressure fluid line. The pressure fluid line is preferably also arranged in or on the partition. In particular, it is provided that the fluid-operated actuating system, the pressure fluid line, and the coolant line are associated with the disconnect coupling of the hybrid module. The partition, on or in which the lines are formed, is part of a housing between the position of an internal combustion engine to be connected and the couplings of the hybrid module. The fluid-operated actuation system is in particular a hydraulic system for actuating a piston in a cylinder, especially a so-called CSC ("Concentric Slave Cylinder").
[0017] The actuator system's housing encloses a pressure chamber on three sides. It features an opening in a radially outer area for the supply of pressurized fluid. A connector located at one end of the pressurized fluid line provides a dual sealing effect. A radially outer seal seals the hybrid module to the outside to prevent the escape of pressurized fluid or coolant. A second seal seals the actuator system's pressure chamber at an access bore.
[0018] The pressure fluid line, like the coolant line, is preferably arranged in or on the intermediate wall formed by the housing. With a preferred radial orientation of the pressure fluid line and the coolant line relative to an axis of rotation of the hybrid module, at least in the radially inner end regions of the lines, they are arranged separately from each other and side by side in a plane running essentially perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the hybrid module. The coolant line is preferably designed to transport a cooling oil as a coolant.
[0019] Likewise, the pressure fluid line is preferably designed for the transport of pressurized oil as a pressure fluid.
[0020] In one variant of the hybrid module, the coolant line and / or the pressure fluid line are fixed as separate components to the intermediate wall of the housing. Alternatively, the coolant line and / or the pressure fluid line run within the material forming the intermediate wall of the housing. This means that in this embodiment, the coolant line or the pressure fluid line is an integral part of the intermediate wall.
[0021] Furthermore, the hybrid module can be designed such that at least one of the two partial clutches of the dual-clutch transmission is fluidically connected to a rotary feedthrough for supplying coolant to the respective partial clutch. This rotary feedthrough is preferably arranged on the side of the hybrid module to which a transmission is to be connected.
[0022] In an advantageous embodiment, the coolant line is arranged such that coolant exiting it flows axially alongside a housing of the actuating system, where an annular cavity is formed for distributing the coolant. Accordingly, coolant exiting one or more coolant lines can enter the annular cavity, also referred to as the annular channel, and be distributed therein around the axis of rotation of the hybrid module and guided radially inwards.
[0023] The annular cavity is preferably arranged between the housing of the actuating system and a connection side of the hybrid module for connection to an external internal combustion engine. Radial ribs can be arranged in the annular cavity to form several radially directed flow paths. Preferably, the actuating system is that of the disconnect clutch.
[0024] In a further advantageous embodiment, it is provided that at least one substantially axially extending flow channel adjoins the radial cavity in the direction of a rotor bearing of the hybrid module.
[0025] The flow channel can be bounded on its radial outer side by a cover. Similarly, the axially extending flow channel is bounded on its radial inner side by a housing part and on its radial outer side by the cover. The flow channel is preferably divided into individual channel segments distributed around its circumference by ribs arranged within it and extending substantially axially. Each cover can be made of either metal or plastic. The cover is preferably positioned and fixed by both the actuating housing and the rotor bearing.
[0026] In an alternative embodiment, it is provided that individual covers are arranged opposite radially recessed and essentially axially extending grooves or channels in the housing part in order to form individual flow channels.
[0027] In transitions between a radial and an axial coolant flow path, additional grooves may be milled locally into the housing to optimize the coolant flow.
[0028] One embodiment of the flow channel provides that at least one section of the axially extending flow channel is formed on the radial inner side of the rotor bearing within the housing for the purpose of transporting the coolant in the axial direction and past the rotor bearing. Preferably, this section of the flow channel is formed in the housing part and / or within the inner bearing shell of the rotor bearing.
[0029] Furthermore, it may be provided that a shaft nut positioning and / or axially fixing the rotor bearing has at least one radially extending groove or slot for the outlet of the coolant in a radial direction onto the side of the disconnect coupling facing the connection to a gearbox. This allows the coolant to flow past the shaft nut and absorb heat from both the disconnect coupling and the partial couplings of the dual-clutch assembly.
[0030] The present invention thus makes it possible to guide a coolant past an actuating housing of an actuating system and a bearing of a rotor carrier and to allow it to exit in an area where the coolant reaches both the disconnecting clutch and the dual clutch device and can thus reduce the temperatures of these clutch devices.
[0031] The invention further provides a powertrain for a motor vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine, a hybrid module according to the invention, and a transmission, wherein the hybrid module can be mechanically connected to the internal combustion engine and the transmission via couplings of the hybrid module. The hybrid module is preferably a so-called P2 hybrid module and is therefore designed to be arranged axially between a connected internal combustion engine and the transmission.
[0032] The drive train can further include a vibration damper, such as a dual-mass flywheel, between the internal combustion engine and the hybrid module, so that the lines positioned according to the invention are arranged between the vibration damper and the couplings of the hybrid module.
[0033] The invention described above is explained in detail below against the relevant technical background with reference to the accompanying drawings, which show preferred embodiments. The invention is in no way limited by the purely schematic drawings, and it should be noted that the embodiments shown in the drawings are not limited to the dimensions depicted. It is illustrated in Fig. 1: a conventional hybrid module in section view, Fig. 2: the partition wall of a hybrid module according to the invention with integrated pressure fluid line in sectional view, Fig. 3: the partition wall of a hybrid module according to the invention with integrated coolant line and flow channel of a first embodiment in sectional view, Fig. 4: the partition wall of a hybrid module according to the invention with integrated coolant line and flow channel of a second embodiment in sectional view, Fig. 5: the partition wall of a hybrid module according to the invention with integrated coolant line and flow channel of a third embodiment in sectional view, Fig. 6: the partition wall of a hybrid module according to the invention with integrated coolant line and flow channel of a fourth embodiment in sectional view, Fig. 7: the partition wall of a hybrid module according to the invention with integrated coolant line and flow channel of a fifth embodiment in sectional view, Fig. 8: the partition wall of a hybrid module according to the invention with integrated coolant line and flow channel of a sixth embodiment in sectional view, and Fig. 9: the partition wall of a hybrid module according to the invention with integrated coolant line and flow channel of a seventh embodiment in sectional view.
[0034] First, the general structure of a conventional hybrid module will be explained. Fig. 1 referenced.
[0035] Such a hybrid module 10 comprises a housing 20, which has one side for connecting an internal combustion engine 12 and one side for connecting a transmission 13. In the Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, a dual-mass flywheel 1 is arranged on the side for connecting an internal combustion engine 12 to an input shaft 2. The dual-mass flywheel 1 is designed to be connected to an internal combustion engine (not shown) so that torque provided by this engine can be transmitted via the dual-mass flywheel 1 to the input shaft 2, from which the torque is transferred to a disconnect clutch 60 of the hybrid module 10. The torque transmitted by the disconnect clutch 60 is directed to a rotor carrier 35, which is coupled to a dual-clutch assembly 80 comprising a first partial clutch 81 and a second partial clutch 82. Torque can be transmitted from the first partial clutch 81 to a first transmission input shaft 94, and torque can be transmitted from the second partial clutch 82 to a second transmission input shaft 95.Furthermore, the hybrid module 10 comprises an electric machine 30, whose stator 33 is connected to the housing 20 via a cooling jacket 31 and a fastening screw 32. The rotor 34 of the electric machine 30 is rigidly connected to the rotatable rotor carrier 35.
[0036] In this way, torque from the connected combustion engine and / or from the electric machine 30 can be directed via the disconnect clutch 60 and the dual clutch device 80 to the transmission input shafts 94,95, and also in the reverse direction.
[0037] The dual-clutch assembly 80 further comprises an actuation system for the first partial clutch 82 and an actuation system for the second partial clutch 84. It is evident that a disconnect clutch actuation system 61 is associated with the disconnect clutch 60. A pressure fluid line 50 is connected to the disconnect clutch actuation system 61 to supply pressure fluid to the disconnect clutch actuation system 61 in order to actuate it and thus the disconnect clutch 60. The pressure fluid line 50 terminates at an opening 64 on a pressure chamber 63 for receiving the pressure fluid. As shown, the pressure fluid line 50 is integrated into an intermediate wall 21 of the housing 20, which extends radially towards the axis of rotation 11 of the hybrid module 10.
[0038] In the Fig. In the conventional embodiment of the hybrid module 10 shown in Figure 1, a cooling channel 106 is formed in the first transmission input shaft 94, the coolant outlet 104 of which is located on the radial outside of the first transmission input shaft 94, so that coolant can reach the clutches of the hybrid module 10 from there.
[0039] Fig. Figure 2 shows the partition wall 21 of the housing 20 of a hybrid module according to the invention. The pressure fluid line 50 is shown enlarged here; it is held in or on the partition wall 21 via a connector 65, which is positioned next to a bearing dome 62. A radially outer seal 66 seals the connector 65 against the partition wall 21. A second seal 67 seals the pressure chamber 63 of the disconnect clutch actuation system 61. A piston 74 of the disconnect clutch actuation system 61 is axially displaceable within the pressure chamber 63. An axial needle bearing 72 is axially connected to the piston 74 for transmitting axially acting forces from the disconnect clutch actuation system 61 to the disconnect clutch 60, while simultaneously allowing relative rotational movement between the disconnect clutch actuation system 61 and elements of the disconnect clutch 60.In this way, the disconnect coupling 60 can be actuated by supplying a pressure fluid, such as pressure oil, through the pressure fluid line 50 via the disconnect coupling actuation system 61, which is designed as a so-called low-pressure CSC or low-pressure central release mechanism.
[0040] Fig. Figure 3 shows a further sectional view of a coolant line 40, which is integrated into the partition wall 21 of the housing 20. This coolant line 40 is preferably displaced by an angular amount about the axis of rotation 11 next to the one in Fig. The coolant line 40 is arranged in the pressure fluid line 50 shown in Figure 2. The opening 41 of the coolant line 40 terminates on the radial outer side of an annular cavity 68, which is positioned axially next to the disconnect clutch actuation system 61. The opening 41 of the coolant line 40 is sealed by means of an opening seal 42. Coolant from the coolant line 40 can be supplied through the annular cavity 68 to a substantially axially extending flow channel 70. Radial ribs 69 can be arranged in the annular cavity 68 to optimize the radial flow of the coolant. It is thus evident that the invention makes it possible to supply a pressure fluid and a coolant separately via the partition 21 of the housing. The coolant is guided past the disconnect clutch actuation system 61 and thus enters an area from which it can be optimally distributed to the required positions in the interior of the hybrid module 10.The coolant reaches the housing 73 of the disconnect clutch actuation system 61, which delimits the pressure chamber 63 on three sides, and is guided radially inwards through the annular cavity 68 of this housing 73 of the disconnect clutch actuation system 61. From the annular cavity 68, the coolant enters the substantially axially extending flow channel 70, which is connected to the radial inner side of the annular cavity 68. The axially extending flow channel 70 is closed off at least partially on its radial outer side by a cover 71. The cover 71 can be made of either metal or plastic. The cover 71 is held in position by both the housing 73 of the disconnect clutch actuation system 61 and a rotor bearing 100.In the embodiment shown here, coolant can be guided towards the rotor bearing 100 through the axially extending flow channel 70, which may also have axially extending grooves 75, and past the rotor bearing 100 on its radial inner side through a section 101 of the axially extending flow channel 70. In this embodiment, the rotor bearing 100 is axially secured by a shaft nut 102. This shaft nut 102 has a radially extending groove 103, on the radial outer side of which the coolant outlet 104 is provided. In this way, coolant from the coolant line 40 can be guided past the rotor bearing 100 through the axially extending flow channel 70 and discharged there to reach the couplings of the hybrid module 10 (not shown separately) in an optimal manner. The coolant first reaches the disconnect coupling 60 and is then available to the partial couplings 81, 82, which are essentially located on the radial outside of the disconnect coupling 60.
[0041] Fig. Figure 4 shows another embodiment, which is essentially the same as that described in Fig. 3 corresponds to the embodiment shown, with the difference that, contrary to the one in Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 3, the coolant channel is guided essentially axially after the rotor bearing 100, and thus the coolant outlet 104 is located between the shaft nut 102 and the housing 20.
[0042] Fig. Figure 5 shows another embodiment according to the invention, which is also similar to the one in Fig. The embodiment is implemented as shown in Figure 3, wherein a section 101 of the axially extending flow channel 70, with axial and radial components, extends substantially obliquely through the housing 20 and thus provides the coolant outlet 104 on the radial inner side of a housing section 22, located between the input shaft 2 and the housing section 22. Accordingly, the coolant exiting here is caused to flow around the housing section 22, so that the coolant first enters the area of the first partial coupling 81, which, due to the higher frictional power and frictional energy inputs, is subject to a greater thermal load than the disconnect coupling 60.
[0043] The in Fig. The embodiment shown in 6 differs from the one shown in Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 5, a section 101 of the axially extending flow channel 70 extends substantially radially and is fluidically connected to a first cooling channel 107 in the input shaft 2, which opens into a cavity 3 formed by the input shaft 2. The input shaft 2 further has a second cooling channel 108, which is fluidically connected to the cavity 3 and which provides the coolant outlet 104 on its radial outer side. In this way, coolant can be supplied to an drive-side lamellar carrier of the disconnecting clutch 60 and to an output-side lamellar carrier of the first partial clutch 81, which are arranged radially outside the disconnecting clutch 60.
[0044] Fig. Figure 7 shows an embodiment in which the axially extending flow channel 70 terminates axially in front of the rotor bearing 100, where the coolant outlet 104 is located. From there, the coolant reaches the disconnect coupling 60 via the shortest possible path. After flowing through and around the disconnect coupling 60, the coolant reaches the first partial coupling 81 and the second partial coupling 83. For particularly effective cooling of the disconnect coupling 60, it includes at least one cooling channel 105 within its own housing for transporting the coolant. Efficient cooling of the disconnect coupling 60 is not impaired even if, contrary to the embodiments shown here, the disconnect coupling 60 is driven at its radially inner side when transmitting the torque provided by the connected combustion engine and has its output at its radially outer side.
[0045] In the Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 8, the coolant outlet 104 is also located in the axial direction upstream of the rotor bearing 100, wherein a cooling channel 105 is implemented in the disconnect coupling 60, which essentially runs alongside the lamellar pack of the disconnect coupling 60, so that coolant located in this cooling channel 105 can absorb heat from the disconnect coupling 60, but still has a sufficiently low temperature to dissipate heat from the partial couplings 81, 83 in the further flow path downstream of the disconnect coupling 60, which according to the Fig. to record the positions shown in the arrangement 1.
[0046] Likewise, the in Fig. The embodiment shown in Figure 9 is similar to the embodiments according to the invention. Fig. 7 and Fig. 8, wherein the cooling channel 105 of the disconnect coupling 60 is guided along the radial outer side of the rotor bearing of the disconnect coupling 60 and the coolant outlet 104 is realized on an axial side of the disconnect coupling 60. This allows, similar to the embodiment according to Fig. 8, Coolant is supplied to the partial couplings 81,83.
[0047] As an alternative to the embodiments described here, it can also be provided that coolant in the area of the disconnect clutch actuation system 61 is supplied to the clutches through radially or axially extending bores in the housing.
[0048] The invention proposed here thus provides a hybrid module 10 which, with a very small axial volume requirement, ensures the necessary functionality and, due to optimal cooling, a sufficient service life.
