Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] This invention relates to a treated fabric, and more particularly to a fabric which is washed twice in the dyeing process and then washed in a mordant-fixing bath with a mixture of fixing agent and acetic acid and washed with a water-repellent mixture in the fixing process to obtain a versatile wash-water-resistant, double-sided fluorine-free and water-repellent treated textile fabric. [State of the art]
[0002] In recent years, the rapid development of materials science has enabled chemical fibers to exhibit various special properties after processing, such as high elasticity, antistatic properties, moisture absorption, protection against ultraviolet radiation, infrared light, antimagnetic waves, negative ions, antibacterial properties, and deodorization. These special properties of textiles can meet the needs of different consumer groups, which is why many manufacturers have invested in the research and development of functional textiles and strive to produce textiles with more innovative features. For this reason, many manufacturers have invested in the research and development of functional textiles and strive to produce textiles with innovative features.
[0003] Many functional textiles are produced by reducing materials into nanoparticles, which are then incorporated into the existing yarn, thus imbuing the textiles with special functions. This method not only allows textiles to be given new properties but also increases their functionality while preserving the original quality and feel of the fabric.
[0004] To improve the research and development efficiency and results of functional textiles, various manufacturers pay close attention to product functionality rather than just design. By strengthening material science research and gaining a deeper understanding of material properties and applications, they can better utilize these properties to develop textiles with more functions. The market potential for the research and development of functional textiles is huge, but to achieve maximum value, manufacturers must continuously introduce innovations and conduct comprehensive research in terms of materials, technology, and market demand. It is expected that with the continuous advancement of technology and ongoing changes in the market, functional textiles will see wider application and development in the future.
[0005] Over time and with technological advances, fabrics have become an indispensable part of daily life, with applications ranging from clothing to furniture to vehicle interiors. However, conventional fabrics are often difficult to resist water or other liquids, causing inconveniences in daily use. Therefore, the development of a fabric processing method that is breathable, water-repellent, and moisture-permeable is of great importance to many. As living standards improve and people strive for a higher quality of life, the demand for fabric performance continues to rise. Conventional fabrics, while offering softness and comfort, perform poorly in humid environments as they can absorb moisture and water seepage, which can lead to inconveniences such as heat buildup. Therefore, the development of a processing method that combines breathability, water repellency and moisture permeability has become an urgent task for textile manufacturers.
[0006] One of the most important properties of fabrics is their breathability. A fabric with excellent breathability allows air and water vapor to pass through freely, thus ensuring a comfortable body feeling. Conventional fabrics are often poorly ventilated due to the dense arrangement of fibers, leading to a feeling of heat and a lack of air circulation. Therefore, it is urgently necessary to improve the breathability of fabrics through technical measures. Another critical aspect of modern fabric processing is water repellency. Water-repellent fabrics can effectively resist the penetration of rainwater or other liquids and keep the surface dry. This not only protects the fabric itself and extends its lifespan, but also ensures comfort in humid environments. However, conventional waterproofing methods often use fluorine-based agents, which can be hazardous to the environment and human health. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop a safe water-repellent treatment method.
[0007] Accordingly, the development of a fabric processing method that equally considers breathability, water repellency, moisture permeability, and washability has become a common concern of numerous textile researchers and industry representatives. For this reason, some industry representatives have used micro-nano technology with polymer materials to form a fine-pored membrane on the fabric surface, which can maintain breathability while effectively preventing liquid penetration. By controlling the fabric structure and incorporating special functional agents, moisture permeability can also be achieved, allowing the wearer to remain dry and comfortable in humid environments. However, such materials and processes often require significant time and cost to manufacture, and the fine-pored membrane can degrade and peel off after washing, rendering it unwashable. Therefore, the ability to efficiently and quickly mass-produce a fabric that is washable, fluorine-free, highly water-repellent, and moisture-permeable, while significantly reducing material and production costs, has become a key challenge for today's textile processing manufacturers. [Content of the invention]
[0008] As a result, the author of this invention, based on a meticulous spirit of research and a creative approach, set out to develop and research solutions to the aforementioned technical problems. Thanks to his many years of professional experience in the creative field and his practical know-how, he has carefully conceived and implemented innovations. This allows him to present this invention with the purpose of improving the advantages of the creation process and eliminating conventional deficiencies.
[0009] The main objective of this invention is to realize a process improvement for the production of versatile wash water resistant, double-sided fluorine-free and water repellent treated textile fabric with higher water repellent effect and breathability without fluorine.
[0010] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the versatile wash-water-resistant, double-side fluorine-free, and water-repellent treated fabric of the invention comprises a base fabric layer and a rainproof, water-repellent composite layer, wherein the base fabric layer is formed of a plurality of weft units and a plurality of warp units woven side by side and overlapped so that the base fabric layer has a first surface and a second surface formed relative to said first surface; wherein a rainproof, water-repellent composite layer is provided above the first surface and the second surface of the base fabric layer; and wherein the rainproof, water-repellent composite layer comprises at least 30 to 60 wt% of a water-repellent agent and 40 to 70 wt% of a hydrophobizing agent, and wherein the water-repellent agent contains at least 30 to 85 wt%.-parts of water-repellent chemical active ingredient and 15 to 70 parts by weight of crosslinking agent, and wherein the hydrophobizing agent is composed of at least 20 to 30 parts by weight of paraffin emulsion, 1 to 5 parts by weight of fatty alcohol polyglycol ether and 65 to 79 parts by weight of water.
[0011] Another object of this invention is to provide a method for producing a versatile wash-water-resistant, double-sided fluorine-free and water-repellent treated textile fabric, which enhances the water-repellent and air-permeable property of the fabric through the manufacturing process.
[0012] Furthermore, it is an object of this invention to provide a versatile washable, double-sided fluorine-free and water-repellent treated textile fabric and its manufacturing method, wherein by improving the manufacturing method, the effective adhesion of water-repellent and rain-repellent agent to the fabric can be increased and a high-quality, washable, double-sided, non-fluorinated water-repellent fabric can be created.
[0013] To achieve the above-described objectives, with regard to the manufacturing method of the versatile, wash-water-resistant, double-sided fluorine-free, and water-repellent treated fabric of the invention, in the preparatory stage, a base fabric is first produced consisting of a number of weft thread units and a number of warp thread units that are overlapped and knitted together. This type of weaving method strengthens the base fabric structurally and enables it to withstand greater elongation and pressure. This is followed by a pretreatment step in which the base fabric is shrunk, loosened, semi-bleached, and pre-set. These treatments ensure that the fiber structure of the base fabric is uniformed, thus optimizing subsequent dyeing and processing. The dyeing process is a crucial step in the entire manufacturing process, beginning with dyeing, followed by washing, shaping, post-washing, and mordant. Of particular note is the fact that dye fixative and acetic acid are mixed in a proportional ratio for an acidic dye fixer, and the base fabric is soaked at a temperature of 75-85°C to ensure the pH is maintained between 4.5 and 5.5.
[0014] The final step is post-processing: After drying, the base fabric undergoes a deformation process in which 30-60% by weight of a water repellent is mixed with 40-70% by weight of a wash-resistant agent. The base fabric is immersed in the mixture and then subjected to a pressure-suction process using a pressure-suction machine. This process not only ensures the fabric's comfort and softness, but also improves its durability and waterproofness in wet environments.
