Abstract
Description
1. Technical field
[0001] The invention relates to a foldable table, in particular for temporary attachment to ferromagnetic surfaces (15), such as those found on shelves, machines, vehicles, or other metallic structures, like a control cabinet door. The table serves as a storage surface for laptops, tools, small parts, or similar items in various applications such as workshops, offices, construction sites, or in the private sector and is characterized by improved handling, transport, and stacking features, as well as optionally by an integrated transport solution for a stool. 2. State of the art
[0002] Folding tables and magnetic mounting solutions are already known. However, existing magnetic tables or mounts often have drawbacks in terms of handling, stability, or adaptability. In particular, there is a lack of solutions that combine high holding power with easy and ergonomic removal, allow for precise alignment, ensure convenient transport, and guarantee space-saving stackability. Furthermore, no magnetic tabletops of this size (e.g., 60 cm wide and 40 cm deep) with such high holding power are currently available on the market that offer comparable stability and versatility. Additionally, there is a lack of integrated solutions for transporting accompanying seating such as stools that form a compact unit without compromising the table's transport stability. 3. Object of the invention
[0003] The object of the present invention is to provide a folding table that offers high stability and holding force on ferromagnetic surfaces (15), while at the same time being easy and convenient to detach. Furthermore, the table should be easy to transport, allow for precise horizontal alignment without additional aids, and be stable and stackable in its transport position. In addition, an optional feature should be provided to attach a corresponding folding stool to the table in a space-saving and secure manner, without negatively affecting the table's transportability or stackability. 4. Solution to the task
[0004] This task is solved by a table according to the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are described in the following claims. 5. [0005] The invention relates to a folding table which, in its exemplary embodiment, has the features shown in the accompanying drawings.
[0006] The table comprises a tabletop (1), which is preferably made of a plywood panel to ensure high robustness and weather resistance. In this version, the dimensions of the tabletop are, for example, 60 cm in width and 40 cm in depth.
[0007] Two folding brackets (2) are attached to the underside of the tabletop (1). These folding brackets (2) are designed to pivot from a folded transport position to an unfolded, ready-to-use position. In the unfolded position, the folding brackets (2) can be secured by means of a locking mechanism (9) to ensure high stability and load-bearing capacity of the tabletop (1). Furthermore, a magnet (4) is provided which securely holds the folding bracket (2) in the folded position during transport.
[0008] The folding brackets (2) are fitted with rubberized magnets for attaching the table to ferromagnetic metal surfaces (15), such as in Fig. Figure 4 shows that these magnets are preferably neodymium magnets to achieve a high holding force and ensure a high holding force for the tabletop of this size. The rubber coating serves both to protect the contact surface from scratches and to increase slip resistance.
[0009] A key feature of the invention is the arrangement and strength of the magnets on the folding brackets (2). According to the drawing and the invention, stronger magnets (5) are arranged on the upper side of the folding bracket (2), i.e., closer to the tabletop (1). These are shown in the sketch by way of example as two individual magnets, but can also be implemented by a single, larger or stronger magnet. Weaker magnets (3) are provided on the lower side of the folding bracket (2). This asymmetrical arrangement and the different strengths of the magnets enable optimized handling: While the horizontal holding force remains high at the surface, the reduced magnetic attraction in the lower area of the bracket allows the table to be removed or detached more easily by lifting the tabletop.
[0010] To ensure a stable horizontal surface for the tabletop (1) during transport and to enable stacking with other objects or tables, two rubber feet (8) are attached to the underside of the tabletop (1) (see Fig. 1).
[0011] A milled recessed handle (6) in the tabletop (1) facilitates comfortable transport and easier handling of the table (see Fig. 1).
[0012] Another integrated feature is a dragonfly (7) embedded in the tabletop (1) (see Fig. 1) This spirit level (7) allows the user to easily and precisely align the table horizontally when attaching it to a surface, without the need for additional aids.
[0013] In a further, optional embodiment of the invention, which is shown in the drawings (see Fig. 4, Fig. 5 and Fig. As shown in Figure 5a), the table is designed for the integrated storage of a standard folding stool (10). For this purpose, a recess (12) is milled into the underside of the tabletop (1), the contour of which is adapted to the shape of the stool (10) when folded (see Figure 5a). Fig. 5 and Fig. 6) This recess (12) serves to integrate the stool (10) into the tabletop in a space-saving and flush manner when in transport condition, thereby minimizing the overall height of the table when folded and preventing the stool (10) from slipping during transport.
[0014] A fastening system (11) is provided to securely fix the stool (10) in the recess (12) (see Fig. 5 and Fig. 7) This fastening system (11) is preferably designed as a commercially available shovel holder with an elastic band. It is an integrated unit comprising an eccentric tensioner, an elastic band, one or more metal hooks, and a metal body, with the elastic band being fixed to the shovel holder. The mechanism for securing the stool (10) is as follows: The elastic band is placed around the legs of the stool (10) when it is folded and hooked into the designated hook on the side of the shovel holder facing away from the recess (13). The entire fastening system (11) is anchored in a designated recess (13) on the tabletop (1) or a bracket (2) to keep the entire unit flat (see Fig. 5) By actuating the eccentric tensioner, the rubber band is tensioned, which securely and without play fixes the stool (10) in the recess (12).
[0015] To ensure that the folding brackets (2) and the rubber feet (8) still extend beyond the stool (10) when folded, thus enabling wobble-free, horizontal placement and stacking of the table with integrated stool, spacers (14) are provided (see Fig. 5 and Fig. 5a). These spacers (14) ensure that the table rests stably and can be stacked in this configuration as well.
[0016] Additionally, the table can optionally be equipped with a holder for a shoulder strap (16) to facilitate transport.
[0017] Overall, the table according to the invention offers high functionality and user-friendliness through the combination of stable, magnetic fastening, optimized detachability, integrated transport and stacking options as well as alignment aid, supplemented by the innovative, space-saving and stable transport solution for a matching stool.
