[0001] The invention relates to a hand-held dressing tool for dressing a grinding wheel for chains with Stihl HEXA geometry. Such hand-held dressing tools are also referred to as dressers. In particular, the invention relates to a hand-held dressing tool for grinding wheels required for sharpening saw chains.
[0002] These types of grinding wheels are typically made of aluminum oxide. A thickness of 4.5 mm is recommended. During grinding, the grinding wheel wears down, loses its geometry, and becomes clogged with dirt. Therefore, it is advisable to dress the wheel after every two chains when sharpening saw chains.
