Description

[0001] The invention relates to an assembly for a vehicle, comprising the features of the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] In modern vehicles, mechanical controls such as buttons, switches, and dials are increasingly being replaced by virtual controls displayed on a touchscreen. The touchscreen typically also serves to display information for the driver. Furthermore, the display and virtual controls can be customized and modified in various ways, for example, by switching between different modes or menus related to navigation, vehicle functions, entertainment media, and other features. This allows for versatile usability. However, because such a touchscreen needs to be easily readable and operable for the user, it requires a relatively large amount of space, for example, on the dashboard. This space cannot then be used for other purposes, such as accessing storage compartments.

[0003] WO 2020 / 035 612 A1 (which corresponds to EP 3 611 420 A1) is intended to provide an improved device for carrying a monitor, in particular a swiveling monitor support, wherein in particular a device for carrying a monitor with reduced operating force required by an operator when swiveling the carried monitor is to be provided.A swiveling monitor mount comprises a mounting element for connecting to a monitor and a support frame for bracing the device against its surroundings. The mounting element and the support frame are arranged to pivot relative to each other. The support frame and the mounting element are pivotably connected to each other via a non-uniformly geared transmission to provide the pivotability of the mounting element relative to the support frame, or the support frame and the mounting element are pivotably connected to each other via at least one pivot joint to provide the pivotability of the mounting element relative to the support frame. A motor, preferably an electric motor, is provided to assist the pivoting movement of the mounting element relative to the support frame. The support frame is typically attached to a ceiling, wall, or floor of a room. The monitor is so heavy that a motor is provided to assist the swiveling movement of the mounting element relative to the support frame, thus reducing the operating forces and / or torques required by the user to swivel the monitor. The tilting mechanism is located behind the monitor and only causes it to pivot, i.e., tilt, while the monitor's center of gravity remains at the same height during this movement. This is not a significant disadvantage in office environments. However, a vehicle interior has limited space resources that would be considerably compromised by a monitor whose center of gravity remains fixed.

[0004] DE 43 29 995 A1 addresses the problem of creating a device for holding an information carrier that allows this carrier to be stored in a space-saving manner at a given workstation, enabling the user to view and / or read the carrier effortlessly from a seated or standing position appropriate to their workstation. The device should also be easy to operate and handle safely while maintaining high rigidity. Information carriers include plans of all kinds, drawings, printouts, and handwritten sketches. The proposed device for holding information carriers at a workstation comprises an adjustable device for holding the information carrier and a support structure attached to the workstation. A gear-like adjustment mechanism is arranged between the holding device and parts of the support structure. This mechanism allows the receiving device to be adjusted relative to the user of the workstation in height, distance, and angle of inclination in a positively coupled manner. The inclination of the receiving device is changed, at least partially, depending on its respective adjustment position. The receiving device is divided into a receiving surface and a means for attaching the information carrier to this receiving surface. The receiving surface is neither necessarily flat nor completely closed. Its dimensions are such that it can accommodate a drawing in sheet size A0 according to DIN 823. The support device serves to position the device in the work area and to adjust the receiving device relative to the location of the arrangement. In an office workstation, this location, where the support device is attached or positioned, is the worktable. The support device is attached to it, for example, by...The device is held in place by a releasable clamping device. The adjustment mechanism allows for a positively coupled repositioning of the receiving device in height, distance from the user, and tilt. The user can adjust the receiving device so that it is positioned directly in front of them, similar to a drawing board. In this adjusted position, the receiving surface is preferably tilted slightly backward, like a drawing board, so that the user can comfortably study or describe the information carrier while seated, if necessary. When the information carrier is no longer needed in the user's immediate vicinity, it is moved to a position above the work area. During the backward and backward movement, the receiving device, when moved backward, undergoes a pivoting motion in combination with the upward movement. In the upper position, the top edge of the, for example, flat receiving surface is tilted forward. The user at the workstation looks upwards at the now "hanging" information carrier. This change in angle has the advantage that the user can comfortably view the information carrier from a distance of approximately 60 to 80 cm, even while seated, in an ergonomically favorable position. Their gaze falls almost perpendicularly on the central area of the mounting surface, allowing for relaxed viewing. It is clear that this device, suitable for a workplace with its ample space, cannot be installed in a vehicle interior with its limited clearance.

[0005] DE 10 2013 013 694 B3 relates to a display device for a motor vehicle with an adjustable monitor, an adjustment drive associated with the monitor which has a driver coupled to the monitor, and a control device for controlling the adjustment drive, wherein the monitor is guided by a cam track and can be adjusted between a first and a second position by means of the adjustment drive, wherein the adjustment drive is a linear drive which has at least one carriage linearly displaceable along at least one drive guide rail, on which at least one piezo actuator is provided for displacing the carriage along the drive guide rail. Such rail guides are difficult to implement and tend to wear over time, which in turn impairs the mechanical properties. The monitor of the described display device can only be moved between two positions: the first position, in which the monitor is either recessed into the dashboard or rests on the dashboard screen-side, thus achieving a storage position in which the screen is protected; and the second position, which is a user position, in which the monitor is extended from the dashboard and positioned so that a user can view the screen. Intermediate positions between the two end positions are not provided. Extending and retracting the display device is intended to protect the screen and give the vehicle a more sophisticated appearance. However, the space in the dashboard for the monitor can only be used for this purpose; no other objects may be stored there, as these would at least be an obstruction when the monitor is retracted.

[0006] Further state of the art is known from DE 10 2010 053 344 A1 and US 2017 / 313 191 A1.

[0007] Given the current state of technology, the usability of a vehicle interior with at least one screen still offers room for improvement.

[0008] The invention is based on the objective of enabling flexible, reliable usability of a vehicle interior that has at least one screen.

[0009] According to the invention, the problem is solved by an assembly with the features of claim 1.

[0010] A vehicle assembly is shown, comprising an interior element and a display element with a screen surface connected to it via an adjustment mechanism, wherein the display element is adjustable by means of the adjustment mechanism between an upright position in which the screen surface is arranged on one side of the display with respect to a horizontal displacement axis, and a lowered position in which it is moved downwards with respect to the vertical axis of the vehicle and towards the display side with respect to the displacement axis, and the screen surface is pivoted downwards away from the vertical axis, wherein the adjustment mechanism has a lower arm and an upper arm, each of which is connected to the display element via a display pivot axis, and wherein the lower arm is arranged lower than the upper arm in the upright position. The assembly is characterized in that the lower arm and the upper arm are pivotably connected, at least indirectly, to the interior element, which at least partially belongs to a center console and / or a dashboard, via at least one interior pivot axis, wherein the displacement axis corresponds to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and the display side is arranged at the rear with respect to the longitudinal axis, and wherein an access opening to a storage compartment is formed in the area of the interior element, to which access in the upright position or the lowered position is at least restricted by the display element and which can be at least predominantly released by adjusting the display element to the other position.

[0011] The dependent claims relate to advantageous embodiments of the invention.

[0012] It should be noted that the features and measures listed individually in the following description can be combined in any technically sensible way and demonstrate further embodiments of the invention. The description further characterizes and specifies the invention, particularly in conjunction with the figures.

[0013] The invention provides a component assembly for a vehicle. The assembly is intended in particular for motor vehicles such as trucks or cars. However, at least in some embodiments, an application for aircraft or watercraft is conceivable. In addition to the elements explicitly mentioned below, the assembly may include further elements.

[0014] The assembly comprises an interior element and a display element with a screen surface, connected to it via an adjustment mechanism. The interior element is part of the vehicle's interior and may, in particular, have a surface accessible from the interior. However, it could also be covered with a panel that forms the surface and may not be considered part of the interior element. In the case of a vehicle with multiple rows of seats, the interior element may be located in the area of the front or foremost row of seats; in the case of non-autonomous vehicles, this would be in the area of the driver's or front passenger's seat. The display element has a screen surface. This serves for electronic, usually digital, visual display. That is, visual information can be displayed on the screen surface and can be changed. The screen surface is part of a display or can simply be referred to as a screen or display. It is usually flat, but it could also have a convex and / or concave curvature. The display element can be part of the vehicle's infotainment system, displaying entertainment information as well as information related to vehicle operation. In particular, the screen surface can simultaneously function as an input surface, meaning that virtual controls can be displayed on it, and sensors can register a user's touch of a control. The display element is connected to the interior element via an adjustment mechanism, although this connection could be indirect, via a bracket to which the display element is detachably attached. However, such a bracket could also be considered part of the adjustment mechanism.

[0015] As mentioned, the display element can be adjusted between an upright position, in which the screen surface is positioned on one side of the display with respect to a horizontal displacement axis, and a downright position, in which it is shifted downwards relative to the vehicle's vertical axis and towards the display side with respect to the displacement axis, and the screen surface is pivoted downwards away from the vertical axis. The upright and downright positions represent the end positions of an adjustment movement that can be understood as a combination of translational displacement and rotation. In the upright position, the screen surface is positioned on one side, referred to here as the display side, with respect to a horizontal axis, which is referred to here as the displacement axis. The term "display side" refers to the fact that a user can see the screen surface from this side. The displacement axis runs horizontally with respect to the intended installed state in the vehicle, i.e., within the XY plane of the vehicle. The display element (or the screen surface) can be described as installed in its position, whereby the screen surface can, for example, form an angle between 0° and 45° or between 0° and 30° with the vertical axis (Z-axis) of the vehicle.

[0016] Through translational shifting, the display element is moved downwards from its upright position to its lowered position, and also along the horizontal axis of movement towards the display side. This pivots the screen surface away from the vertical axis, approaching or reaching a horizontal or lying position. In the lowered position, the screen surface may be horizontally oriented, i.e., at a 90° angle to the vertical axis. Although this description explicitly refers to the upright and lowered positions, the display element naturally passes through intermediate positions during adjustment, which may also be advantageous. Of course, the display element remains fully functional and operational in every position. Adjusting between the upright and lowered positions allows for a more user-friendly orientation of the screen surface. This allows the user to adjust the screen so that they are looking at it as perpendicularly as possible. Furthermore, adjusting the screen allows for minimizing distracting reflections. Because the screen's tilt relative to its vertical axis changes, the swiveling motion occurs around a virtual axis that is at least partially, and usually entirely, horizontal. This differs from a swiveling motion around a vertical axis, where, for example, the screen could be swiveled away from a driver, potentially obstructing their view of important information. Normally, the virtual swivel axis is perpendicular to the axis of rotation and lies in the horizontal plane.

[0017] By combining the pivoting movement with the translational adjustment, it is possible for the display element to be positioned relatively close to the surrounding surfaces of the interior in both of the aforementioned positions; that is, it does not have to protrude far into the interior in either position, which could disturb the occupants or promote collisions with the display element, potentially damaging it.

[0018] As mentioned, the adjustment mechanism has a lower arm and an upper arm, each connected to the display element via a display pivot axis, with the lower arm being positioned at least partially lower than the upper arm in the upright position. Furthermore, as mentioned above, the arms are connected to the interior element at least indirectly via at least one internal pivot axis. The arms could also be described as levers, pivot arms, or pivot levers. Each arm can normally be considered a rigid element that deforms only negligibly during normal operation. The arms are each pivotally connected to the display element via a display pivot axis, with each pivot axis running parallel to the virtual pivot axis of the display element, i.e., normally perpendicular to the displacement axis and in the horizontal plane. On the interior element side, each arm is movably connected via at least one interior pivot axis. The connection can be direct or indirect, with the pivot axis located on the arm in the former case and on an intermediate element between the arm and the interior element in the latter. In the installed position, the lower arm is positioned lower overall (with respect to the vertical axis) than the upper arm; however, it is also possible for only parts of the lower arm to be positioned lower than the upper arm.

[0019] It has been found that the connection via (swivel) arms is advantageous compared to other conceivable solutions. In particular, a backlash-free connection between the display element and the interior element can be optimally achieved with the connection method according to the invention. This is primarily because the swivel mechanism predominantly or normally exclusively requires swivel bearings (which correspond to the swivel axes).

[0020] These can be manufactured without any play and retain this property even over extended periods, unlike, for example, rail or linear guides. The latter are particularly difficult to implement due to the considerable weight of a typical display element (e.g., 1-3 kg depending on the design) and tend to wear over time, which in turn impairs their mechanical properties. In contrast, a swivel bearing can easily be implemented with negligible play and, for example, in the form of a roller bearing, is hardly prone to wear. This provides the user with reliable long-term usability and the option of adjusting the display element to an optimal position, thus making the best use of the vehicle's interior.

[0021] Preferably, the displacement and pivoting of the display element are positively coupled by the adjustment mechanism. This means the adjustment mechanism reduces the number of degrees of freedom to 1. Thus, a specific tilt of the display element corresponds to a specific (translational) position, and vice versa. Furthermore, the raised and lowered positions are also precisely defined by this positive coupling. This positive coupling allows optimal end positions to be reached repeatedly, and also enables the adjustment movement between these end positions to be performed optimally and repeatably.

[0022] It is conceivable that the display element could be adjusted manually, with the user grasping it and adjusting it by applying force. In this case, too, the positive coupling described above can be advantageous, as it assists the user during adjustment and guides them to perform the intended movement. According to an alternative design, the display element can be adjusted between the upright and down positions using an actuator. Here, it can be advantageous to use a single (usually electric) actuator. Again, the positive coupling described above facilitates efficient, repeatable adjustment using only one actuator.

[0023] It can also be advantageous if the display element can be locked in at least one position by an actuator. Such a lock could, for example, consist of a self-locking actuator drive, so that the display element cannot be adjusted by external forces when the actuator is inactive. Alternatively, an actuator could also serve only to establish or release a lock, for example, via a positive locking mechanism. That is, actuator-based locking could also be independent of actuator-based adjustability. It is preferred that the actuator actively releases the lock and that this lock is automatically established when the actuator is inactive (e.g., by a return element).

[0024] According to the invention, an access opening to a storage compartment is formed in the area of the interior element. Access to this opening is at least restricted by the display element in both the upright and lowered positions, and can be at least predominantly uncovered by adjusting the display element to the other position. That is, in the upright or lowered position, the display element is arranged such that access to the storage compartment through the access opening is only partially possible or even impossible for a user. This is generally unproblematic, since access to a storage compartment, such as a storage tray, is not normally required constantly, and may even be necessary only rarely. In some cases, it may even be desirable for the access opening to be completely or partially covered by the display element, so that the contents of the storage compartment are not visible from the outside. It is also possible that the position in which access to the storage space is restricted represents the most ergonomically advantageous position for the display element. When the display element is moved to the opposite position (lowered or raised), the access opening is fully or at least partially uncovered, so that access to the storage space is either unimpeded or at least easier than in the previously assumed position. In particular, for storage space within the dashboard, the access opening may be (fully or partially) covered in the raised position, while for storage space within a center console, it may be fully or partially covered in the lowered position. The storage space and the access opening can be integrated into the interior element or into another element that can also be considered part of the assembly.

[0025] According to the invention, the displacement axis corresponds to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and the display is positioned at the rear of the longitudinal axis. In other words, the screen surface faces rearward in the installed position. Accordingly, a user has a good view of the screen surface when the display element is in front of them (facing the front of the vehicle), possibly even at an angle. This corresponds to a natural, ergonomically sound viewing direction.

[0026] In general, the interior element can be, for example, an armrest, a seat back, or the like. As mentioned above, the interior element is at least partially part of a center console and / or dashboard. The interior element can form part of the center console and / or dashboard or constitute one of these elements entirely. The interior element does not necessarily have to be the user-facing surface but could be covered. In this embodiment, the interior element is located both within the driver's field of vision and within their reach. The same usually applies to the display element. In this configuration, the axis of displacement preferably corresponds to the longitudinal axis. The screen area can remain visible to the driver regardless of the position of the display element, since only its inclination relative to the vertical axis changes. The screen surface is not normally swivelled sideways away from the driver, which could make it impossible for him to effectively read the displayed information.

[0027] According to one embodiment, at least one of the arms is pivotably connected directly to the interior element via an internal pivot axis. The corresponding arm is thus pivotably connected to the display element on one side and to the interior element on the other. Accordingly, the part of the display element connected to it, or the display pivot axis, moves along a circular arc around the internal pivot axis located on the side of the interior element. Both arms can also be directly connected to the interior element. Even with this simple design, different movements or positions of the display element can be achieved by appropriately selecting the length of the arms and the positions of the display pivot axes and the internal pivot axes.

[0028] Under certain circumstances, a different, e.g., non-circular arc-shaped, movement of the display's swivel axis may be desirable. This can be achieved, for example, by connecting the upper arm to two upper auxiliary arms via intermediate swivel axes. Each of these auxiliary arms is then connected to the interior element via an internal swivel axis. The upper arm is thus indirectly connected to the interior element at two points, namely via the two auxiliary arms. By appropriately selecting the distances between the swivel axes of the two auxiliary arms, different constraints can be implemented, resulting in different movement paths for the upper arm. All of this can only be achieved using swivel axes; that is, only swivel bearings that allow for (virtually) backlash-free guidance can be used.

[0029] Alternatively, the lower arm can be pivotally connected to two lower auxiliary arms via an intermediate pivot axis, each of which is pivotally connected to the interior element via an interior pivot axis. This also allows for a variety of non-circular arc movements of the lower arm. Special design possibilities arise, though not claimed by the invention, if both the lower and upper arms are connected to the interior element via two (lower and upper, respectively) auxiliary arms. This allows the movement paths of two pivot axes on the display element to be individually determined, thereby defining the relationship between the (translational) position and the pivot angle of the display element. Here, too, only a plurality of pivot axes or pivot bearings are necessary for implementation, enabling (virtually) backlash-free guidance.

[0030] Further advantageous details and effects of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment illustrated in the figures. These show Fig. 1 shows a sectional view of a first embodiment of an assembly according to the invention with a display element in a setup position; Fig. 2 shows a sectional view of the assembly made of Fig. 1 with the display element in a lowered position; Fig. 3 a sectional view of a second embodiment of an assembly according to the invention with a display element in an upright position; Fig. 4 a sectional view of the assembly made of Fig. 3 with the display element in a lowered position; Fig. 5 a sectional view of a third embodiment of an assembly with a display element in an upright position; Fig. 6 a sectional view of the assembly made of Fig. 5with the display element in a lowered position; and Fig. 7 a representation of enveloping curves of the display element when adjusted according to the first, second and third embodiments.

[0031] In the different figures, identical parts are always provided with the same reference symbols, which is why they are usually only described once.

[0032] Figs. 1 and 2Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of an assembly 1 according to the invention, which is installed in the interior of a motor vehicle, in this case a passenger car. An interior element 2 of the assembly 1 is partially assigned to a center console 3 and a dashboard 4. A storage compartment 6 is formed in the center console 4, which can be accessed via an access opening 5. A display element 10, which can, for example, be used to display information relating to navigation, general vehicle operation, or entertainment media, has a screen surface 11, which can, for example, be a flat screen that is also designed as a touchscreen. Accordingly, various virtual controls can be displayed on the screen surface 11, by means of which a user (for example, the driver) can control various functions.

[0033] The display element 10 is connected to the interior element 2 via an adjustment mechanism 20. The adjustment mechanism has a lower arm 21, which is connected to the display element 10 via a first display swivel axis S1 and to the interior element 2 via a first interior swivel axis S3, and an upper arm 24, which is connected to the display element 10 via a second display swivel axis S2 and to the interior element 2 via a second interior swivel axis S4. The adjustment mechanism 20 also includes an actuator 30 (shown here in a highly schematic way) that connects the upper arm 24 to the interior element 2.

[0034] Fig. 1The display element 10 is shown in a position where the screen surface 11 forms a relatively small angle, approximately 10° in this example, with the vehicle's vertical axis (Z-axis). With respect to a displacement axis V, which in this case is identical to the vehicle's longitudinal axis (X-axis), the screen surface 11 is positioned on a display side A. The display element 10 is located near the surface of the dashboard 4 and approximately parallel to it. The screen surface 11 is easily readable and accessible for the driver to input commands. The access opening 5 of the storage compartment 6 remains unobstructed.

[0035] By means of the actuator 30, which in the example shown acts as a linear actuator on the upper arm 24 and can apply a torque to it, the display element 10 can be moved into a Fig. 2The depicted lowering position can be adjusted. The movement corresponds to a combination of a pivoting motion and a translational displacement. The translational displacement moves the entire display element 10 downwards with respect to the vertical axis and along the displacement axis V towards the display side A. Corresponding to the pivoting motion, the screen surface 11 is pivoted away from the vertical axis until it is finally aligned at an angle of approximately 40° to the vertical axis Z. The pivoting motion is performed around a (non-stationary) virtual pivot axis perpendicular to the drawing plane, i.e., parallel to the transverse axis (Y-axis).Since the two arms 21, 24 have a fixed length and are connected to the interior element 2 via fixed interior swivel axes S3, S4, and to the display element 10 via fixed display swivel axes S1, S2 with respect to the display element 10, the translational displacement of the display element 10 is necessarily coupled to the swivel movement; that is, a specific inclination relative to the vertical axis Z is associated with a (translational) position of the display element 10. As can be seen from the... Figures 1 and 2As becomes clear, the display element 10 is positioned relatively close to the respective surface of the dashboard 4 or the center console 3, both in the upright and downright positions. In the downright position, it partially covers the access opening 5, making the contents of the storage compartment 6 difficult to access and partially obscuring them. By moving it back to the upright position, the storage compartment 6 can again be accessed without restriction. The screen surface 11 remains easily visible and operable for the driver not only in the upright position but also in the downright position.

[0036] The Figures 3 and 4Figure 1 shows a second embodiment of an assembly 1 according to the invention, in which the interior element 2 is completely integrated into the dashboard 4. The adjustment mechanism 20 differs from the first embodiment, particularly in that the lower arm 21 is not directly connected to the interior element 2, but is connected to two lower auxiliary arms 22, 23 via a first intermediate pivot axis S7 and a second intermediate pivot axis S8, wherein the first lower auxiliary arm 22 is pivotably connected to the interior element 2 via a first interior pivot axis S3, and the second lower auxiliary arm 23 is pivotably connected to the interior element 2 via a third interior pivot axis S5. Due to this indirect coupling, the lower pivot arm 21, and in particular the first display pivot axis S1 on the display element 10, do not move along a circular arc path. This allows the display element 10 to be positioned higher, while maintaining a greater distance from the dashboard 4 in the upper area. This is evident from... Fig. 7 The figure shows the indicator element 10 in the lowered position, as well as a first envelope H1 (as a solid line) corresponding to the first embodiment, a second envelope H2 (as a dashed line) corresponding to the second embodiment, and a third envelope H3 (as a dotted line) corresponding to a third embodiment. In the example shown, a storage compartment 6, such as a glove compartment, is formed above the adjustment mechanism 20, which is accessible via an access opening 5. In the raised position according to Fig. 3 Access to storage compartment 6 is either not possible or only possible to a very limited extent. However, if the display element 10 is inserted into the Fig. 4When the lowering position shown is adjusted, the storage compartment 6 can be accessed without hindrance. The adjustment of the display element 10 is in turn carried out via an actuator 30, shown schematically here.

[0037] Figs. 5 and 6Figure 1 shows a third embodiment, not encompassed by the invention, which largely corresponds to the second embodiment and is therefore not explained again. However, while in the second embodiment the upper arm 24 is directly connected to the interior element 2 via the second interior pivot axis S4, in the third embodiment it is connected to a first upper auxiliary arm 24 via a third intermediate pivot axis S9 and to a second upper auxiliary arm 25 via a fourth intermediate pivot axis S10. These upper auxiliary arms 24 and 25 are in turn connected to the interior element 2 via a second interior pivot axis S4 and a fourth interior pivot axis S6, respectively. Therefore, in contrast to the second embodiment, the second display swivel axis S2 does not move in a circular arc, but on a more complex path, which is essentially determined by the arrangement of the second and fourth interior swivel axes S4, S6 and the third and fourth intermediate swivel axes S9, S10, as well as their distances. As shown in... Fig. 7 As can be seen, this results in the display element 10 being moved further forward (towards the dashboard 4) earlier or further forward with respect to the longitudinal axis X compared to the second embodiment, while it is positioned higher in the installation position compared to the first embodiment.

[0038] In the example shown here, no actuator is provided for adjusting the display element 10; that is, it can be adjusted manually, for example, with the adjustment mechanism 20 providing haptic guidance to the user to repeatedly set the raised position, the lowered position, and any intermediate positions. Optionally, an actuator for adjusting the display element 10 could also be provided in the third embodiment. A locking mechanism (not shown here) could also be provided, which is actuated, for example, by a return element towards a locking position, in which it blocks the adjustment mechanism 20. An actuator could move the locking mechanism to a release position, and it would return to the locking position when the actuator is inactive (e.g., when the ignition is switched off).In both the first and second embodiments, the actuator 30 could optionally be omitted, so that the adjustment of the display element 10 can be done manually.
