Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a cylinder-operated opening damper. CONTEXT OF THE INVENTION.
[0002] Firstly, the invention relates to a shock absorber with an external opening cylinder for shutters.
[0003] There are door dampers. These are door dampers. Doors are the interior openings. Due to the particular difficulties presented by shutters, there are no shutter dampers.
[0004] Known cylinder-type door dampers are interior door dampers. They are defined by a fluid leak-proof chamber and a rod inserted into the rod chamber provided with a blocking element and a ring and having; a first and a second valve each provided with channels; the damper comprising a rolling assembly with rollers allowing rolling and guiding on the lower part of a rail. This assembly forms a cylinder. In document WO2004021833A1 the fluid is oil.
[0005] Compared to doors, shutters face technical difficulties.
[0006] Primarily, for flaps a damper has to solve the technical problem of overcoming four additional technical obstacles to the basic functions such as damping, braking or fixing so that dampers or brakes can function by damping and braking the travel of a flap.
[0007] The first difficulty arises from the large variations in temperature and humidity encountered outside compared to the relative constant temperature inside. It must be expected that temperatures can vary from -25° in winter to +60°. When the shutters are placed under a casing, the radiation resulting from this casing further increases the temperature. Consequently, the shutters will experience temperatures higher than the actual outside temperature.
[0008] Document US 2013 / 160240 A1 relates to a device applied to interior doors.
[0009] Therefore, these door devices are designed for interior use, a person skilled in the art would not look in these documents for: a shutter cylinder; a shutter fluid adapting to the varied outside temperatures depending on the geography;
[0010] The cylinder known from document US 2013 / 160240 A1 does not seek these characteristics at all. Indeed, it applies to an interior door which does not need to withstand the constraints experienced by exterior openings, namely shutters.
[0011] This known cylinder works with a spring or a compressible fluid. Therefore, it is a medium with elasticity.
[0012] Furthermore, the state of the art teaches the use of a door jack.
[0013] While the invention is intended to be applied to shutters. Thus, the person skilled in the art of automatic control and manufacturing of opening dampers knows that these two cylinders cannot be interfered with and interchanged from one system to the other (new constraints of large variations in temperature and humidity).
[0014] Thus the known jack cannot be in its current state the jack necessary for the invention.
[0015] Therefore, these documents do not anticipate the invention which aims to prevent external attacks supporting temperature variations.
[0016] The present invention aims to solve this technical problem and to prevent a shutter damper from being stopped or degraded in its operation by the above obstacle which would not be overcome. For this purpose according to the invention the opening damper with cylinder, this cylinder being in accordance with the standardization of the shutters the opening being external, in which the fluid of the cylinder is inert with regard to the temperature, making the damper suitable for temperatures from -25 to +60°C to maintain the shutter damper functionality outside.
[0017] According to other characteristics of the cylinder opening damper: The inert fluid is nitrogen. The inert fluid is chosen from thermo-constant oils. Its parts are made of materials with high stability with respect to temperature variations. One of the materials with high stability of its parts is plastic. One of the materials with high stability of its parts is aluminum. The rod with cap and the ring being lined on its periphery forming the fluid piston forming with the chamber the fluid cylinder of the shock absorber, said fluid is inert with respect to temperature, making the shock absorber suitable for temperatures from -25 to +60°C. The valves and channels are internal shapes of the piston. The first and second non-return valves and being mounted on the external circumference of the piston rod on either side of a groove of said rod forming a baffle allow the displacement of the fluid.
[0018] The gas cylinder rod, which is inert to the temperature, forms a shock absorber and a shutter brake. For this purpose, the shock absorber comprises a fixed means cooperating with a moving part carrying said rod. The shock absorber actuated by the rod is fixed in a hollow rail.
[0019] The invention also relates to the use of a damper for an opening with a cylinder in accordance with the above, the opening being external, in which the fluid of the cylinder is inert with respect to the temperature such as nitrogen or thermo-constant oil, making the damper suitable for temperatures from -25 to +60°C to maintain the damping functionality of the shutter outside. This allows it to withstand temperature variations and be adapted to cold regions typically in assembly as well as hot ones for example in the South; this with a view to assisting in the handling of shutters.
[0020] Thus, the opening damper system according to the invention is a system which withstands variations in external temperatures.
[0021] This solves the problems posed by shutters, the device according to the invention aims to withstand outside temperatures. This is why the opening dampers of the technique are limited to doors which are interior openings because they do not respond to this external problem.
[0022] The invention provides that the cylinder comprises a constant thermo fluid and of dimensions adapted to the shutters (exterior openings because for temperatures of -25 to +60°C, i.e. exterior temperatures which can be very different depending on the location, high mountains or Midi for example)
[0023] Consequently, the objective of the invention is to provide a shutter operating assistance device equipped with a gas cylinder inert with respect to the temperature moving a hook to the trigger actuating the cylinder rod which forms a shock absorber and shutter brake. These functions offer sufficient safety to operate outdoors by supporting significant variations in temperature and humidity and by the materials of the parts with high stability, plastic and / or aluminum and inert gas.
[0024] The invention will be better understood from reading the description of a non-limiting example of the appended drawings in which: There Fig. 1 illustrates in vertical section a piston of a flap damper according to the invention. The Fig. 2 is an elevational view showing the fixed means cooperating with the movable part of the shock absorber actuated by the piston shown Fig. 1 and fixed in a hollow rail.
[0025] Identical parts and elements in different figures have retained the same reference signs.
[0026] A shock absorber cylinder 1 is shown in vertical section figure 1 , a leak-proof chamber 1a of the piston 1b contains a piston 1b. First and second non-return valves 1c and 1d are mounted on the outer circumference of the rod 1e of the piston 1b on either side of a groove 1f of said rod 1e. This assembly forms the channels 1g which pass into the first and second valves 1c, 1d and via the groove 1f forms a baffle allowing the movement of the fluid represented by arrows. Thus, the valves and channels are internal shapes to the piston 1b.
[0027] In the invention, the piston 1b is sized to comply with the standard for exterior shutters. The cylinder 1 is made of a leak-proof chamber 1a filled with inert fluid. This fluid is typically nitrogen. It may be thermo-constant oil.
[0028] Referring to the figure 2 , the shutter damper is an exterior damper. Its parts are made of plastic or aluminum which have high dimensional stability even when temperatures vary. The damper shown comprises the cylinder 1 with a piston 1b actuating under the effect of the pressure of the inert fluid a hook via a guide. A movable part 2 allows the movement. The movable part is in a larger device comprising a part fixed relative to the wall not shown. This fixed part comprises a stop 3 of dimensions cooperating with the inner part of a hollow rail 4. A flat extension 5 is fixed at one of its ends on the upper surface of the stop 3. This extension 5 extends above the movable part here, a carriage 6. A trigger 7 is fixed to the other end of the extension 5.
[0029] The stop 3 has on its lateral face located under the extension 5 a damping means 3b, in the figure this means is represented as being a part of the stop 3 made of flexible material which stops the movable part 2 of the shutter damper when the latter reaches the end of its travel. Thus, the stop 3 fulfills its function of stopping the movement. The stop 3 has in the lower part a base 3c which fits the lower opening of a rail and by two respective shoulders comes to rest on the two lower flat parts of the rail 4 which border its lower opening 8. Screws 3a come to tighten the roof of the rail 4. This tightening is transmitted to the base 3c. Thus, the base fulfills an immobilization function and forms a fixed point.
[0030] The stop 3 according to the invention has the advantage of three functions: The base 3c provides the anchoring function by the pressure between the running track and the inner roof of the rail 4. The damping means 3b provides the function of stopping the movement. The rolling assembly with moving part 2 stops upon contact with the lateral face which is equipped with a flexible element forming a damping means. The trigger 7 shown provides the activation function of the system.
[0031] The movable carriage 2 is placed in the hollow rail 4, the combination of the shock absorber cooperating with the fixed means forming the device for assisting in the operation of the shutter which is constrained in the rail 4.
[0032] The shutter operating assistance device forms a shock absorber and shutter brake. It comprises the hollow rail 4 containing a means fixed relative to the wall, comprising the stop 3 linked to the trigger 7 by an extension 5, said rail also containing a carriage 6 equipped with the jack 1.
[0033] Since the shock absorber is made up of several parts, each one must resist and function consistently, this problem had to be solved.
[0034] To withstand the very large temperature variations that shutters require, unlike doors, the damper is made of parts made of materials that resist these temperature variations, such as plastics and / or aluminum. Also, the piston gas does not vary in density when the temperature goes from -25 to +60.
[0035] It is therefore an inert gas to temperature variations. Typically, nitrogen is used.
[0036] The invention also relates to the use of the opening damper with a jack 1 forming a carriage 6 carrying a piston 1b with inert fluid, the opening being external, in which the inert fluid with respect to the temperature of the jack 1 makes the damper suitable for temperatures from -25 to +60°C to maintain the shutter “damper” functionality on the outside.
[0037] The invention is described above with reference to an alternative embodiment, it will be apparent that it may be modified in many ways. These variations should not be construed as a departure from the spirit and scope of the invention, and all modifications which would be obvious to a person skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims. Although the invention has been described in connection with particular structures, it is in no way limited thereto and many variations may be made thereto.
[0038] Combinations of the different embodiments shown in the drawings or described above do not depart from the scope of the invention. REFERENCE SIGNS
