Abstract

Method for monitoring the wear of a motor vehicle tire and tire pressure monitoring module for implementing said method. The invention relates to a method for monitoring the wear of a motor vehicle tire. According to the invention, the method comprises the following steps aimed at: - acquiring (step E1) acceleration gradient measurements of the tire to be monitored, - processing (step E2) said acquired gradient measurements, - comparing (step E3) said processed measurements to a predetermined threshold value, - issuing an alert (step E4) when the predetermined threshold value is reached. The invention also relates to a tire pressure monitoring module, comprising hardware and / or software means for implementing said method, said hardware and / or software means being implemented in an integrated circuit.
