Description

Title of the invention: Flexible coupling ring

[0001] This ring is intended for hunters of wild migratory birds, using live decoy birds.

[0002] The invention consists of a collar made of TPU (polyurethane) or other elastomeric plastic, which is attached to the leg of a calling bird in order to tether it without injuring it. At one end of the collar is a narrower section equipped with prongs. This appendage fits into a slot located at the other end of the collar. With slight force, this section locks into place, forming a loop that is difficult to remove. An oblong hole is created in the protruding section to allow the tethering pin to be attached to the ring.

[0003] The invention is available in various thicknesses, lengths, and widths to fit all types of lugs. The body of the ring may or may not have a hole drilled along its length, which makes the ring more flexible and reduces material usage. The ring size, or any other marking, may be embossed on a portion of the ring to differentiate them.

[0004] The ring can be printed or injected in elastomer material, on a 3D printer or injection press, using different colors of raw material in order to be able to quickly identify the caller thus equipped.

[0005] A schematic diagram of the ring is available [Fig.1]

[0006] Device for attaching the leg of a decoy bird to a rope fitted with a pin, said device comprising:

[0007] a one-piece collar that can be hand-fitted around the decoy's leg. Characterized in that

[0008] The collar is made of soft elastomer material so as not to injure the bird.

[0009] The collar can be put on by hand quickly and easily, by inserting one end into a slot positioned at the other end.

[0010] The collar cannot be removed by the caller because it is blocked by small tabs.

[0011] It includes size or other indications on the body of the collar. Examples of dimensions

[0012] Lengths: from 12 mm to 150 mm

[0013] Thicknesses: 0.5 mm to 5 mm

[0014] Different widths: 3 mm to 30 mm
