Claims
1. Diamond non-stick surface, characterized in that it comprises: - a metal substrate (1); and - a diamond non-stick layer (2) being in adhesive relationship with the metal substrate (1), the diamond non-stick layer (2) comprising: • a metal bonding layer (21); • a plurality of diamond crystals (22) bonded to the metal substrate (1) by the metal bonding layer (21), the diamond crystals (22) having a euhedral shape; and • a gap filler (23) formed of a non-stick coating, disposed in the gaps between the adjacent diamond crystals (22) and on the metal bonding layer (21); - the sum of the first average thickness (B) of the metal bonding layer (21) and the second average thickness (G) of the gap filler (23) being less than the particle size of the diamond crystals (22).
2. A diamond non-stick surface according to claim 1, characterized in that the euhedral shape of the diamond crystals (22) is cubo-octahedral.
3. A diamond non-stick surface according to claim 2, characterized in that the metal bonding layer (21) is bonded to the diamond crystals (22) by brazing.
4. A diamond non-stick surface according to claim 3, characterized in that the particle size of the diamond crystals (22) is between 230 / 270 mesh and 20 / 25 mesh according to the mesh size according to ANSI (American National Standards Institute), and the sieving particle size of the diamond crystals (22) is between 53qm and 710pm.
5. Diamond non-stick surface according to claim 4, characterized in that - the first average thickness (B) of the metallic bonding layer (21), defined as the average thickness at an intermediate point between adjacent diamond crystals (22), ranges from 20qm to 500qm; and - the second average thickness (G) of the gap-filling product (23), defined as the average thickness at an intermediate point between adjacent diamond crystals (22), ranges from 12pm to 150qm.
6. Diamond non-stick surface according to claim 5, characterized in that - the metal bonding layer (21) contains from 5% by weight to 26% by weight of chromium; and - the metal substrate (1) is made of stainless steel.
7. A diamond non-stick surface according to claim 6, characterized in that the non-stick coating of the gap filler (23) is selected from fluorocarbon resin coatings, silicone resin coatings and sol-gel ceramic coatings.
8. A diamond non-stick surface according to claim 5, characterized in that the metallic bonding layer (21) comprises from 1.5% by weight to 20% by weight of titanium.
9. A diamond non-stick surface according to claim 8, characterized in that the non-stick coating of the gap filler (23) is one of a fluorocarbon resin, a silicone resin and a sol-gel ceramic.
10. A kitchen utensil (200), the food contact surface of which has a diamond non-stick surface (100) according to claim 1.
