Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Motor vehicle comprising an electric compressor fixed to the casing of an electric powertrain by means of a fastening system allowing several positions. Technical field
[0001] The invention has as its technical field the installation of an electric compressor in an engine compartment of an electric vehicle. Previous techniques
[0002] In an electric vehicle, an electric compressor is used to enable the air conditioning of the passenger compartment.
[0003] In such electric vehicles equipped with an electric powertrain located in a front engine compartment, the electric compressor is generally also located in this compartment. The front engine compartment is fitted with longitudinal members to stiffen it, in particular to protect users against the risk of high-voltage shock after a frontal collision.
[0004] Due to the density of components in this compartment and the presence of the longitudinal members stiffening the compartment, only one configuration allows the installation of the electric compressor in the front engine compartment for a vehicle chassis.
[0005] Nowadays, in order to reduce the development costs of motor vehicles, especially electric ones, car manufacturers pool the development of platforms across several vehicle models, or even across several manufacturers.
[0006] The same platform, which notably includes the vehicle chassis, is nevertheless adapted to each vehicle using it. This adaptation involves modifying the chassis and, in some cases, the front engine compartment.
[0007] The unique configuration allowing the installation of an electric compressor in a vehicle from a platform may differ from the unique configuration allowing the installation of an electric compressor in another vehicle from the same platform, thus undermining the development of a shared platform.
[0008] There is therefore a need for means of fixing an electric compressor in the front engine compartment of an electric motor vehicle, compatible with at least two installation configurations. Description of the invention
[0009] The invention relates to a motor vehicle comprising an electric compressor and an electric powertrain. The electric compressor is fixed to the housing of the electric powertrain by means of a fastening system, comprising a first part and a second part each formed of at least two hollow tubes integral with the housing of the electric compressor, a third part and a fourth part each comprising at least one blind hole integral with the housing of the electric powertrain, within the first part and the second part, two adjacent hollow tubes form a predetermined angle, the electric compressor being able to be arranged in at least two different positions relative to the electric powertrain, each associated with a different predetermined angle resulting from a different matching of one of the hollow tubes of the first and second parts with the blind holes of the third and fourth parts.
[0010] The angle between the hollow tubes within the first part or the second part can be equal to 90°.
[0011] The first part and the second part may each comprise at least three hollow tubes.
[0012] The first part and the second part may exhibit the same spatial offset as the third part and the fourth part.
[0013] The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a motor vehicle as described above, in which:
[0014] a. The available space in the front engine compartment is determined after installation of the electric powertrain for the installation of an electric compressor,
[0015] b. a position to be taken by the electric compressor is determined according to the available space, then the correspondence between the hollow tubes of the first and second parts and the blind holes of the third and fourth parts is determined so that the position of the compressor resulting from this correspondence corresponds to the determined position,
[0016] c. the electric compressor is placed in the predetermined position so that at least one hollow tube of the first and second parts is in correspondence with at least one blind bore of the third and fourth parts, then the hollow tubes and the corresponding blind bores are joined together by means of fastening means. [0025] Figures [Fig.1a] and [Fig.1b] illustrate a front engine compartment of an electric vehicle, comprising an electric compressor 1 and an electric powertrain 2. The front engine compartment is laterally delimited by two longitudinal members connecting a front crossmember and a passenger compartment crossmember. The front engine compartment is also delimited at the top by an engine compartment cover.
[0026] The electric compressor 1 is attached to the housing of the electric powertrain 2 by means of a fastening system comprising several parts distributed on the housing of the electric powertrain and on the housing of the electric compressor. Each part of the fastening system attached to the housing of the electric compressor comprises at least two hollow tubes arranged in intersecting directions. Each part of the fastening system attached to the housing of the electric powertrain comprises at least one blind hole. The direction of at least one blind hole in a part attached to the housing of the electric powertrain corresponds to the direction of at least one hollow tube in a part attached to the housing of the electric compressor. A blind hole and a corresponding hollow tube are joined by means of fastening means cooperating with an internal thread of the blind hole. The fastening methods include a screw or a threaded rod / nut assembly.
[0027] Figures [Fig.la] and [Fig.lb] illustrate different arrangements of the compressor electric 1 in relation to the electric powertrain 2 and in relation to the front engine compartment.
[0028] The electric compressor 1, illustrated in Figure [Fig.2], comprises a housing la and a base 1b contained within a casing. More specifically, the casing comprises a first end face le, a first lateral face Id, a second lateral face le and a second end face If.
[0029] The casing of the electric compressor has as its covering the first lateral face Id, closed on itself, and connected by one end to the first end face le, the other end of the first lateral face being kept open.
[0030] The base of the electric compressor has the second lateral face le, closed on itself, as its covering, and connected by one end to the second end face If, the other end being kept partially open.
[0031] The casing of the electric compressor housing and the casing of the compressor base are connected together at their open ends to form the casing of the electric compressor.
[0032] Still on the figure [Fig.2], it can be seen that the base 1b of the electric compressor has an elongated shape, forming an outgrowth on one side of the casing la of the electric compressor, said outgrowth allowing the connection of the electrical power connectors, as well as the air inlet and outlet hoses.
[0033] With reference to figure [Fig.3], plane A is defined as the median plane of the base 1b of the electric compressor normal to the axis of revolution R of the casing la of the electric compressor.
[0034] Plane B is further defined as a median plane of the base 1b of the electric compressor comprising the axis of revolution R of the casing la of the electric compressor.
[0035] The axis D of the electric compressor is defined as the intersection of plane A and plane B.
[0036] Figure [Fig.4] illustrates these same planes and axes without the electric compressor in order to better show their spatial and angular relationships.
[0037] A first part of the fastening system is fixed to the casing of the electric compressor housing on the first end face of the casing, and comprises two tubes 3a, 3b arranged at 90° to each other. Figure [Fig. 5] illustrates a particular embodiment in which the two hollow tubes 3a, 3b of the first part of the fastening system intersect.
[0038] A second part of the fastening system is fixed to the casing of the electric compressor housing on the first lateral face Id, and comprises four hollow tubes 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d arranged so as to be parallel and diametrically opposed with respect to the axis of revolution of the housing in pairs, a first group of hollow tubes being arranged in a first direction, a second group of hollow tubes being arranged along a second direction forming a 90° angle with the first direction.
[0039] In one embodiment, the hollow tubes 3a,3b of the first part of the fastening system are arranged in a first plane parallel to a second plane in which are arranged the hollow tubes 4a,4b,4c,4d of the second part of the fastening system.
[0040] Figure [Fig.6] illustrates the housing of the electric powertrain 2, which is equipped with a third part and a fourth part of the fastening system.
[0041] The third part of the fastening system includes at least one blind hole 5a arranged normally with respect to the surface of the cladding.
[0042] The fourth part of the fastening system includes at least two blind holes 6a,6b arranged normally with respect to the surface of the cladding.
[0043] It will be understood that the first and second parts of the fastening system arranged on the surface of the electric compressor 1 are designed so as to cooperate with the third and fourth parts of the fastening system arranged on the surface of the electric powertrain 2.
[0044] Figures [Fig.7] to [Fig. 11] illustrate different arrangements of the electric compressor 1 in relation to the electric powertrain 2.
[0045] In a particular embodiment, illustrated by figures [Fig.7] and [Fig.8], the hollow tubes 3a, 3b of the first part and the hollow tubes 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d of the second part are arranged so that their directions form an angle of 90°. Furthermore, the hollow tubes 3a, 3b of the first part are contained in a plane parallel to the plane comprising the hollow tubes 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d of the second part.
[0046] In both figures, one of the hollow tubes 3a, 3b of the first part is connected to the blind bore 5a of the third part by means of fasteners that can engage with the threads of the blind bore. Similarly, two of the hollow tubes 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d of the second part are each connected to one of the blind bores 6a, 6b of the fourth part by means of fasteners that can engage with the threads of the blind bores.
[0047] The means of fixing include a screw or a threaded rod / nut assembly.
[0048] Figure [Fig.7] illustrates the electric compressor 1 in a first position relative to the electric powertrain 2.
[0049] Figure [Fig.8] illustrates the electric compressor 1 in a second position relative to the electric powertrain 2, the second position essentially having an angle of 90° relative to the first position.
[0050] In another embodiment, illustrated by figures [Fig. 9] to [Fig. 11], the hollow tubes of the first and second parts are arranged so that their directions form an angle of less than 90°, in particular 15°. When the angle is less At 90°, a greater number of tubes can be installed in each mounting system. At least three tubes can then be placed in each part of the mounting system connected to the electric compressor 1. As in previous embodiments, all the tubes in the same part of the mounting system are arranged in the same plane. More precisely, the mounting system comprises a first part consisting of three tubes 7a, 7b, 7c arranged in a first plane and spaced in pairs at a predetermined angle. The mounting system comprises a second part with six hollow tubes 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d, 8e, 8f arranged in a second plane. The six hollow tubes 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d, 8e, 8f are arranged so that they are parallel in pairs and diametrically opposite in pairs, the pairs of hollow tubes being spaced in pairs at the same predetermined angle.
[0051] In the three figures, one of the hollow tubes 7a, 7b, 7c of the first part is connected to the blind hole 5a of the third part by means of fasteners that can engage with the threads of the blind hole. Similarly, two of the hollow tubes 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d, 8e, 8f of the second part are each connected to one of the blind holes 6a, 6b of the fourth part by means of fasteners that can engage with the threads of the blind holes. The fasteners are, in particular, a screw or a threaded rod / nut assembly.
[0052] Figure [Fig.9] illustrates the electric compressor 1 forming an angle of 15° with respect to the normal to the surface of the electric powertrain 2.
[0053] Figure [Fig. 10] illustrates the electric compressor 1 in a position essentially similar to the position illustrated by [Fig. 5].
[0054] Figure [Fig.1 1] illustrates the electric compressor 1 forming an angle of 15° with respect to the normal to the surface of the electric powertrain 2, symmetrical to the position of Figure [Fig.6] with respect to a plane normal to the surface of the powertrain.
[0055] To resolve the technical problem and accommodate several different configurations of the electric compressor and the powertrain in the front engine compartment, the hollow tubes attached to the electric compressor 1 are aligned with the blind holes in the housing of the electric powertrain 2 to obtain a specific angle between the axis D of the electric compressor and the direction of the blind mounting holes on the housing of the electric powertrain. By changing this alignment, the position of the electric compressor relative to the electric powertrain is modified, and, in turn, the available space in the front engine compartment for housing the compressor.
