AI Technical Summary
Existing motorcycle passenger safety devices fail to provide adequate support and comfort for passengers of small size or reduced mobility, especially during accelerations, and are not practical for passengers with reduced mobility or corpulent pilots.
A handle system fixed on a reinforcement placed in the pilot's pockets, which can be flexible or rigid, using materials like polypropylene, allowing the passenger to hang on during acceleration, enhancing comfort and safety.
The handle system provides enhanced support and safety for passengers by maintaining an excellent position during accelerations, improving comfort and security without unnecessary equipment constraints.

Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Road safety device for motorcycle passengers
[0001] The present invention relates to a road safety device for a motorcycle
[0002] allowing a passenger of small size or with reduced mobility to be able to hold on.
[0003] The motorcycle passenger usually has to put his arms around the rider and
[0004] hold hands which requires a certain amount of strength, and sometimes on long journeys. Or
[0005] well he must position his hands on the tank; which is not always easy
[0006] when the pilot is corpulent, when the size of the passenger does not allow it or
[0007] when the passenger has reduced mobility.
[0008] For children, there are devices such as harnesses that prevent falls during
[0009] accelerations but do not allow you to hold on and therefore provide good support and a good feeling of security.
[0010] There are also fixed handles on certain motorcycles but these are not practical or even accessible to people with reduced mobility.
[0011] The concept according to the invention makes it possible to remedy this problem. It comprises a handle fixed on a reinforcement placed in the pilot's pockets on the left and right sides. These handles allow the passenger to hold on during acceleration and thus maintain an excellent position increasing his comfort and safety. This system also allows the pilot, when the passenger is small and light, to feel it for greater safety without the constraint of superfluous equipment. According to particular embodiments:
[0012] a. The handles can be flexible or rigid.
[0013] b. The fabric used may be made of polypropylene or any other resistant material.
[0014] c. The reinforcement may be rigid or flexible in any suitable material.
[0015] d. The handle can be located inside the pocket or outside. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention:
[0016] [Fig-1] Represents in section, front, profile and ¾, the device of the invention in that the
[0017] handle is rigid on a polypropylene strap, itself sewn onto a reinforcement
[0018] woven in polypropylene.
[0019] [Fig.2] Represents the location of the reinforcement in dotted lines.
[0020] [Fig.3] Represents the handle in use.
[0021] [Fig.4] Represents a variant of the soft version handle.
[0022] [Fig.5] Represents a second variant with the handle positioned outside
[0023] the pocket.
[0024] [Fig.6] Represents in real conditions the position of the passenger with the device of the [Fig.l].
[0025] [Fig.7] Represents in real conditions the position of the passenger's hand with the device of [Fig.l].
[0026] [Fig.8] Represents the type of handle used for the practice of [Fig.l]. [Fig.9] Represents a variant of handles that can be used.
[0027] With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a flexible polypropylene reinforcement structure 1 [Fig.l] onto which is sewn a polypropylene strap 2[Fig.l] which passes through a kayak-type handle 3[Fig.l] type [Fig.8], the assembly itself sewn inside the pilot's pocket [Fig.2], on each side.
[0028] In the embodiment according to [Fig.4], a soft leather-type handle [Fig.9] is sewn onto a more discreet reinforcement still placed in the pilot's pocket on both sides.
[0029] In another embodiment according to [Fig.5], a handle [Fig.8] passes over
[0030] a polypropylene strap 1 [Fig.l] which is sewn to the reinforcement itself sewn to the
[0031] pocket outline already reinforced.
[0032] In a variant not illustrated, the reinforcement 1 [Fig.l] would no longer be sewn but fixed
[0033] using rivets.
[0034] In another variant, the reinforcement 1 [Fig.l] would be in a more rigid material.
