Abstract

The invention relates to a device for redirecting a seat belt strap for a motor vehicle, said device comprising a loop (1) having an opening (11) for the passage of said strap and an orifice (10) for receiving a member (2) carrying said loop and ensuring its pivotal attachment to a pillar (M) of the vehicle body, notable in that it comprises an intermediate bearing (3) mounted on said member (2) and intended to reduce friction at the interface with the inner wall of said orifice (10). 1. Device for returning a seat belt strap for a motor vehicle, said device comprising a buckle (1) having an opening (11) for the passage of said strap and an orifice (10) intended to receive a member (2) carrying said buckle and ensuring its pivoting attachment to an upright (M) of the vehicle body, characterized in that it comprises an intermediate bearing (3) mounted on said member (2) and intended to reduce friction at the interface with the internal wall of said orifice (10).

2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said bearing (3) is formed from a ring made of a polymer material whose mechanical properties facilitate the rotation of the loop (1) on said support and fixing member (2).

3. Device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the polymer material is chosen from the family of polyacetals (POM).

4. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said bearing (3) contains a ball bearing.

Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said bearing (3) comprises a sleeve (30) housed in said orifice (10) of the loop (1) and extending by wedging shoulders (31, 32) in bearing contact, respectively, against the dorsal wall (1a) and the front wall (1b) of the loop (1).

6. Safety belt intended for the front seats of motor vehicles comprising a strap passing through the buckle (1) of a return device according to one of the preceding claims and a strap winder coupled to a force limiter.

7. Motor vehicle equipped with a seat belt according to the preceding claim.
