Description

Title of the invention: STABLE NON-STICKY COMPOSITION WITH TEXTURE TRANSFORMATION PROPERTY Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a composition, preferably a cosmetic composition, and more preferably a cosmetic composition for the skin which is stable and which can provide a transformation of texture and a non-sticky character. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] Providing a comfortable texture to the skin is one of the key features of cosmetic products, especially skin care cosmetic products.

[0003] In particular, texture transformation (texture change, for example, from a gel or cream to a liquid, which corresponds to the change in physical properties of a composition, such as a collapse of the structure of the composition which could allow the liquid to flow out of the composition) which could provide a refreshing sensation at the beginning of application, as well as a non-sticky sensation or a reduced sticky sensation after application, are always necessary for consumer satisfaction during use.

[0004] It should be noted that a composition which is unstable and easily causes collapse of the structure of the composition often provides a comfortable feeling during use. This means that it is difficult to provide both a comfortable feeling during use and good stability.

[0005] So far, several technologies relating to gel-like compositions or emulsion compositions that provide improved texture and stability have been reported. For example, WO2022 / 124385 discloses a stable composition that can provide texture transformation. DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

[0006] However, sufficient studies have not yet been conducted for stable compositions that can provide no or reduced stickiness, in addition to texture transformation.

[0007] An objective of the present invention is to provide a stable composition which can provide no or reduced stickiness after application, in addition to a texture transformation during application.

[0008] The above objective of the present invention can be achieved by a composition, preferably a cosmetic composition, and more preferably a cosmetic composition for the skin, comprising: a. at least one cellulose particle; b. at least one associative polymer comprising one or more acrylic and / or methacrylic units; and c. water.

[0012] a wetting point for water of at least 100 mL / 100 g, preferably at least 200 mL / 100 g, and more preferably at least 300 mL / 100 g.

[0013] The ratio of the wetting point for water to the wetting point for oil of the (a) cellulose particle may be 5 or less, preferably 4 or less, and more preferably 2 or less.

[0014] The (a) cellulose particle may be spherical.

[0015] The amount of the (a) cellulose particle(s) in the composition according to the present invention may be from 0.1% to 20% by weight, preferably from 0.5% to 15% by weight, and more preferably from 1% to 10% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition.

[0016] The (b) associative polymer may comprise one or more (Ci-Ci2) alkyl ester units of (meth)acrylic acid.

[0017] The (b) associative polymer may comprise one or more units derived from polyoxyalkylenated fatty alcohols.

[0018] The amount of the (b) associative polymer(s) in the composition according to the present invention may be from 0.01% to 10% by weight, preferably from 0.05% to 5% by weight, and more preferably from 0.1% to 1% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition.

[0019] The composition according to the present invention may be in the form of a gel, preferably with a viscosity at 25°C of 10,000 mPa.s or more, and more preferably with a viscosity at 25°C of 10,000 mPa.s to 200,000 mPa.s.

[0020] The composition according to the present invention may further comprise (d) at least one oil.

[0021] The (d) oil may be chosen from polar oils, preferably ester oils, artificial triglycerides and mixtures thereof.

[0022] The amount of the (d) oil(s) in the composition according to the present invention may be from 1% to 50% by weight, preferably from 5% to 45% by weight, and more preferably from 10% to 40% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition.

[0024] The present invention also relates to a cosmetic process for treating a keratinous substance, comprising the step of applying the composition according to the present invention to the keratinous substance. Best mode for carrying out the invention

[0025] After careful research, the inventors have discovered a novel approach to providing a stable composition that can provide no or reduced stickiness after application, in addition to texture transformation during application.

[0026] Thus, one aspect of the present invention is a composition, comprising: a. at least one cellulose particle; b. at least one associative polymer comprising one or more acrylic and / or methacrylic units; and c. water.

[0027] The composition according to the present invention is stable and can provide no or reduced stickiness after application, in addition to a texture transformation during application.

[0028] The composition according to the present invention is stable immediately after the preparation of the composition and for a long time after the preparation of the composition, even with temperature changes from a cold temperature to a warm temperature. Therefore, the composition according to the present invention is stable over time and can be stored for a long time even with temperature changes occurring between winter and summer.

[0029] The composition according to the present invention can provide no sticky feeling or reduced sticky feeling after application.

[0030] The term "sticky" here means a property that gives a sticky feeling to the skin.

[0031] The composition according to the present invention may provide a texture transformation during application, preferably at the beginning of application. Texture transformation herein means a change in texture from a gel or cream, for example, to a liquid, which corresponds to the change in physical properties of a composition, such as a collapse of the structure of the composition which could allow the liquid to flow from the composition. The texture transformation may provide a refreshing sensation.

[0032] Therefore, the composition according to the present invention can provide excellent touch feeling, especially skin feeling during and after application of the composition.

[0033] The composition according to the present invention and the like will be explained in more detail hereinafter. [Cellulose particle]

[0034] The composition according to the present invention includes (a) at least one cellulose particle with specific properties. If two or more cellulose particles are used, they may be the same or different.

[0035] The particle size of the (a) cellulose particle corresponds to a primary particle size. Furthermore, the particle size herein refers to an average particle size, which may be a volume average particle size, which may be determined, for example, by a laser diffraction particle size analyzer.

[0036] The particle size of the (a) cellulose particle used for the present invention is not limited. [0044] The term "oil wetting point" in this specification means an amount of oil required to make a target powder completely wet, which can be recognized, in particular, by the formation of a paste with the target powder.

[0045] The wetting point for oil can be determined by the following protocol. 1. 2 g of a target powder are kneaded using a spatula on a plate of glass while adding oil, especially linear ester oil, such as isononyl isononanoate (WICKENOL 151 / ALZO). 2. When the target powder becomes completely wet and begins to form a paste, the weight of the added oil is determined as the wetting point weight. 3. The wetting point for oil is calculated from the equation: Wetting point for oil (mL / 100 g) = {(the weight of the wetting point) / 2 g]X100 / the density of the oil.

[0046] Similarly, the term "wetting point for water" herein refers to an amount of water required to make a target powder completely wet, which can be recognized, in particular, by the formation of a paste with the target powder.

[0047] The wetting point for water can be determined by the following protocol. 1. 2 g of a target powder are kneaded using a spatula on a plate of glass while adding water with a density of 0.998 g / mL. 2. When the target powder becomes completely wet and begins to form a paste, the weight of the added water is determined as the wetting point weight. 3. The wetting point for water is calculated from the following equation: Wetting point for water (mL / 100 g) = {(the weight of the wetting point) / 2 g]X100 / the density of water.

[0048] It is preferable that the ratio of the wetting point for water to the wetting point for oil of the (a) cellulose particle used for the present invention is 5 or less, preferably 4 or less, more preferably 3 or less, and even more preferably 2 or less, and preferably 0.1 or more.

[0049] The (a) cellulose particle may be porous or non-porous, preferably porous.

[0050] The porosity of the (a) cellulose particle can be characterized by a specific surface area of 0.05 m2 / g to 1,500 m2 / g, more preferably of 0.1 m2 / g to 1,000 m2 / g, and even more preferably of 0.2 m2 / g to 500 m2 / g according to the BET method.

[0051] In the present invention, the cellulose which can be used for the (a) cellulose particle is not limited by cellulose types such as cellulose I, cellulose II or the like. As the cellulose which can be used as a material for the (a) cellulose particle for the present invention, type II cellulose is preferable.

[0052] The (a) cellulose particle, preferably a spherical cellulose particle, may be prepared, for example, as follows. 1. A slurry of calcium carbonate, as an aggregation inhibitor, is added to an alkaline aqueous solution of water-soluble anionic polymer and then stirred. 2. The viscose and the aqueous solution obtained in point (1) above are mixed to form a dispersion of fine viscose particles. 3. The dispersion of fine viscose particles obtained in item (2) above is heated to aggregate the viscose in the dispersion, and neutralized with acid, to form fine cellulose particles. 4. The fine cellulose particles are separated from the mother liquid obtained in point (3) above and washed and dried, if necessary.

[0053] Viscose is a raw material of cellulose. It is preferable to use viscose with a gamma value of 30 to 100% by mass and an alkali concentration of 4 to 10% by mass. As the above water-soluble anionic polymer, polyacrylic acid sodium salt, polystyrene sulfonic acid sodium salt and the like can be mentioned. The above calcium carbonate is used to prevent aggregation of viscose fine particles in the dispersion and to reduce the particle size of cellulose. As the calcium carbonate slurry, Tama Pearl TP-221GS marketed by Okutama Kogyo Co., Ltd. in Japan can be mentioned.

[0054] According to one embodiment, the (a) cellulose particle may or may not include a cellulose derivative. The cellulose derivative may be chosen from cellulose esters and ethers.

[0056] Preferably, the cellulose ester results from the reaction of certain of the free hydroxyl functions of said rings with a carboxylic acid containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms.

[0057] Advantageously, the cellulose esters are chosen from cellulose acetates, propionates, butyrates, isobutyrates, acetobutyrates and acetopropionates and mixtures thereof.
