AI Technical Summary
Existing methods for soaking art and modeling brushes in solvents often damage the brush hair as they are crushed at the bottom of the container, and existing retention systems use mechanical parts that can break.
A device that uses a comb with openings of varying widths to retain brushes by their ferrule, combined with a support system that keeps the brush handles at a stable angle and allows for vertical drying positions.
Prevents brush hair damage by keeping brushes elevated and stable during soaking and drying, ensuring effective cleaning and maintenance while avoiding mechanical failure.

Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Dipping device for art and model brushes
[0001] The present invention relates to a device for dipping artist or model brushes into a solvent without crushing the bristles at the bottom of the container.
[0002] Dipping modeling or art brushes is generally carried out in glasses or cups containing a liquid solvent for the paint used. This solution can lead to damage to the bristles of the brush trim when they are crushed at the bottom of the container.
[0003] Systems exist for holding in a container, but these use mechanical parts such as clamps which require and which can break.
[0004] The device according to the invention overcomes this drawback by holding the brushes by their ferrule using a comb provided with openings of different widths, each allowing a brush to be accommodated. This comb prevents the brushes from being crushed at the bottom of a sealed reservoir containing the brush cleaning liquid. A support provided with different grooves allows the handle of the brushes to be held in a position between 40° and 50° relative to the bottom of the reservoir, which ensures both stability and soaking. Finally, different orifices allow the brushes to be arranged vertically, bristle upwards, to ensure drying and availability for the painter.
[0005] The device may comprise a variable number of locations
[0006] Each brush slot can have a width adapted to the brushes used.
[0007] The attached drawings illustrate the invention:
[0008] [Fig.l] Represents in top view, the device of the invention.
[0009] [Fig.2] Shows in side view, the device of the invention.
[0010] [Fig.3] Represents in three-quarter high view, the device of the invention.
[0011] With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a sealed reservoir intended to receive the brush cleaning liquid (1) in the form of a block and having on one of its edges a comb provided with different locations (2). This comb is surmounted by a series of grooves (3) allowing the brushes to be held in position opposite its location. A series of vertical orifices (4) allows brushes to be placed to be dried and kept ready for use.
[0012] The device must be made of a material resistant to the solvent used.
[0013] The size of the slots must be such that the brushes can be held by their ferrule or by their handle, without the bristles of the brushes touching the bottom of the reservoir.
[0014] The length of the grooves must be sufficient so that the brushes are held securely.
[0015] The part of the device comprising the channels can be hollow or perforated to save material during manufacturing.
