Title of the invention: System for burying a funerary urn in a tomb

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for enabling a more solemn and ceremonial burial of a funerary urn, giving it a proper place in a grave and on a tombstone, while also changing the perception of cremation.

[0002] When a funeral urn is buried in a grave, the smallness of the urn, the emotion of the ceremony, and the fact that the funeral home employees place the urn in the grave without a specific location, mixed with the other deceased, makes it more vague, immaterial and invisible in the minds of visitors who later will not know where to direct their eyes and thoughts.

[0003] This device according to the invention makes it possible to fix a location on the tombstone where the funerary urn is interred in the grave. 1. A burial device for a funerary urn, comprising: - a tombstone intended to be placed horizontally on a grave, said tombstone comprising a cylindrical hole (A) passing through the thickness of the tombstone; - a receptacle for a funerary urn (B); - a sealing gasket (C); - a closing medallion (D) intended to cover the cylindrical hole (A); - a mechanical locking system (E) for the medallion;characterized in that the mechanical locking system comprises threaded rods sealed on the tombstone, in that the upper part of the cylindrical hole (A) has a shoulder of a depth equal to the thickness of the sealing gasket (C) and the closing medallion (D), so that the sealing gasket and the medallion are embedded in the mass of the tombstone, and in that the sealing gasket (C) is flat and circular in shape, intended to be placed between the shoulder and the closing medallion, said sealing gasket being pierced with holes (8) in its circumference for the passage of the threaded rods (17).

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that a 45° chamfer (4) is located between the top of the hole (A) and the bottom of the shoulder (3), and in that the urn container has a 45° collar (3), said chamfer serving as a support for the 45° collar (5) of the urn receiving container (B), so as to center the urn in the hole (A), keep the urn in a vertical position and prevent the urn receiving container from falling into the grave.

Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the closing medallion is pierced with holes (9), the number of which corresponds to the number of holes (8) of the sealing gasket and the number of threaded rods (17) used, in the same alignment with each other, said medallion also being provided with a centering shoulder (14) and a tapped hole (13) in its axis (face 12) for the attachment of a temporary handling handle.

A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the urn-receiving container (B) is cylindrical in shape and closed at both ends, and in that the urn-receiving container is pierced with holes in the closed upper part of the container, which allows the urn receiver to be fixed to the closing medallion.

5. Device according to any one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that the holes for the threaded rods of the locking system (E) of the closing medallion are made on the tombstone on the outer periphery of the chamfer (4).

6. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the urn receiving container, the sealing gasket and the closing medallion are molded in the shape of the cylindrical hole (A).
