[0001] The present invention relates to an earring. It applies, in particular, to the ear ornament intended to be worn and removed from a perforated earlobe. Prior art
[0002] There are currently two main styles of jewelry designed to be worn on the ears. The first consists of accessories that are simply attached by pressure to the earlobe, while the second involves the use of earrings attached by means of a fastener passing through a perforation made in the earlobe.
[0003] Jewelry of this second type usually has a post, called an earring, which can be inserted and removed from the ear. This post passes through the piercing and is fixed behind the lobe, thus providing a secure solution for wearing earrings. The same applies to ear pendants, although in this case the pin is fixed to a small support, on which the jewelry is permanently mounted.
[0004] A variation of this concept is to attach the backing directly to the jewelry by means of movable elements, thus allowing the backing to act as a pin, which can be inserted through the perforation of the lobe. 1. An earring configured to be worn and removed from a perforated earlobe, comprising: a first ring half (21) and a second ring half (22) of substantially the same size and connected by means of a hinge (24) at one end and having fastening means (25, 26, 27a, 27b) at the other end of the first ring half (21) and the second ring half (22), and opposite each other with respect to the direction of rotation about said hinge (24), said engageable fastening means comprising a pin (25) mounted in the first ring half (21); the pin (25) has at a terminal end at least one transverse recess (28); characterized in that the second half of the ring (22) comprises: - a first receiving opening (27a) in a curved lamella (26); - a second receiving opening (27b) inside the second half of the ring (22).

An earring according to claim 1, wherein the first receiving opening (27b) provides a snap latch for engaging one of the transverse recesses of said pin (25) configured to lock the engagement of said securing means upon rotation of the first ring half (21) relative to the second ring half (22) in one direction; when the first ring half (21) and the second ring half (22) are open, said securing means are disengaged by rotation of the first ring half (21) relative to the second ring half (22) in an opposite direction.
3. An earring according to claim 1, wherein within the second receiving opening (27b) is a projection providing a snap catch for engaging one of the transverse recesses of said pin (25) configured to lock the engagement of said securing means upon rotation of the first ring half (21) relative to the second ring half (22) in one direction; when the first ring half (21) and the second ring half (22) are open, said securing means are disengaged by rotation of the first ring half (21) by relative to the second half of the ring (22) in an opposite direction.
4. An earring according to claim 1, wherein the pin (25) has at a terminal end a plurality of transverse recesses (28).
5. An earring according to claim 4, wherein the space between each transverse recess (28) is between 0.1mm and 5mm, preferably between 0.8 and 2mm.
6. An earring according to claim 1, wherein the curved strip (26) has a length of between 4 and 20 mm, preferably between 6 and 13; and a width of between 0.8 and 10 mm, preferably between 1.5 and 4 mm.
7. An earring according to claim 1, wherein the curved strip (26) is positioned outside the second ring half (22).
8. An earring according to claim 1, wherein the curved strip (26) is positioned inside the second ring half (22).
9. An earring according to claim 1, wherein the strip (26) is curved back on itself and forms a partial spiral which constitutes a position return element and comprises a groove (26a) extending along the longitudinal axis of said strip (26).
10. An earring according to claim 1, wherein the first ring half (21) or the second ring half (22) has a hollow portion.
