Field of Invention The present invention relates generally to powdered acid based multipurpose lavatory cleaning compositions, the kit, and the methods of using the same. Background There are a variety of cleaning compositions that have been described in the art for cleaning hard surfaces located in bathrooms such as toilet bowls, bathroom tiles and floors. Such compositions are typically combinations of an acidic component, a dye and fragrance that are flushed with water to produce their desired aesthetic, cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing effects. Existing bathroom cleaner products however are mainly bleach-based liquid containing detergents and / or foaming agents. However, such formulations typically fail to remove tough stains. The more cost effective formulations may contain an acid as an active ingredient; however, they are highly unstable formulations when high pH or alkaline auxiliary agents are used in the formulation, particularly when in powder form. The acid and the base in a powder formula typically react in presence of moisture, causing formulation degradation and / or package bloating. To that end, there is a need in the art to create sustainable powder cost effective formulation that can provide superior hygiene. The various features of the invention address such need.
