Packaging containers

Abstract

This article is a packaging container formed by molding a sheet-like blank shown in the reference development diagram using a press. The blank shown in the reference development diagram is folded in mountain folds as indicated by the dashed lines and in valley folds as indicated by the two-dot chain lines, and the blank is heated while being pressed during molding, causing the synthetic resin coating layer on the surface of the blank to melt and the blank to be crimped together, thereby maintaining its shape as a packaging container. The edge of the container consists of a horizontal surface with a substantially constant width and a hemmed portion with a substantially circular cross section that is continuous from the horizontal surface, thereby improving overall strength and stably maintaining the shape of the container.
