Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a measuring cup that has a function of measuring the contents of a packaging container and can be attached to the packaging container while holding the cap of the packaging container. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventionally, packaging containers for storing contents such as liquid detergents and fabric softeners that are equipped with measuring caps with measuring functions have been widely known (Patent Documents 1 to 3).
[0003] However, these measuring caps have various features on both the measuring cap and the container body to prevent dripping after use, and are intended to be used in combination with a specific cap and container body, making it difficult to use these measuring caps for other containers.
[0004] Incidentally, liquid detergents, fabric softeners, and other contents are generally sold in refillable packaging containers, and after purchase, the contents are typically transferred from the refill container to the container itself for use.
[0005] On the other hand, with the recent rise in environmental awareness due to SDGs and other factors, there has been a growing need to be able to use the contents directly from the refill container without transferring them into the main container.
[0006] Therefore, there has been a demand for a measuring cup that can be used universally regardless of the type of container, and in particular, that can be used for refill containers. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0007] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 6373118 [Patent Document 2] Patent Publication No. 2021-54473 [Patent Document 3] Patent No. 6405800 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0008] An object of the present invention is to provide a measuring cup that can be used universally as a cap for a packaging container. [Means for solving the problem]
[0009] The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems by providing a measuring cup that has a cap holding portion into which a cap of a packaging container can be inserted and that holds the outer surface of the cap, and a storage portion that opens in the opposite direction to the side of the cap holding portion where the cap is inserted and that stores the contents of the packaging container.
[0010] The present invention also relates to a measuring cup comprising a peripheral wall having an opening for a storage portion at one end, a bottom portion disposed within the peripheral wall and raised from the other end of the peripheral wall, and an inner peripheral wall extending from the bottom portion toward the other end of the peripheral wall, the inner peripheral wall holding the outer peripheral surface of the cap.
[0011] The present invention also provides a measuring cup, characterized in that a vertical rib is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the inner peripheral wall, extending along the axial direction of the inner peripheral wall.
[0012] The present invention further provides a measuring cup further comprising a lid capable of sealing the opening of the container. Effect of the Invention
[0013] The measuring cup according to the present invention can be attached to the cap of a typical refillable container, etc., and can thus be used directly from the refillable container without transferring the contents to a normal container.
[0014] Furthermore, in the measuring cup of the present invention, when the peripheral wall and the inner peripheral wall are formed so that their heights from the bottom are aligned, the ends of both the peripheral wall and the inner peripheral wall abut against the top surface of the container, thereby improving the strength of the measuring cup itself and the strength of its attachment to the container.
[0015] In addition, the measuring cup of the present invention, which is provided with a vertical rib formed so that its protruding height increases from the tip of the inner wall to the bottom, can be universally used for caps having different outer diameter dimensions.
[0016] Furthermore, the measuring cup according to the present invention, which is provided with a lid, can prevent dripping after use. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0018] Hereinafter, embodiments of the measuring cup of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments.
[0019] 1 is a perspective view of a packaging container 10 with a measuring cup 100 according to the present invention attached thereto. As shown in the figure, the measuring cup 100 of the present invention is attached to the packaging container 10 while holding a cap 70 that seals a pouring outlet (not shown) of the packaging container 10. The packaging container 10 of this embodiment is a so-called gable-top carton container, and is provided with a pair of inclined top surfaces 50 on the upper part of the main body 30. The cap 70 is screwed onto a pouring outlet provided on one of the top surfaces 50.
[0020] 2 and 3, measuring cup 100 of this embodiment includes main body 110 formed in a cylindrical shape with a bottom, and lid 140 connected to main body 110 via hinge 117 so as to be able to be opened and closed. Each part will be described in detail below.
[0021] <Main unit 110> The main body 110 of this embodiment includes a peripheral wall 111 formed in a cylindrical shape, and a bottom portion 112 provided at a position raised from the other end 111b of the peripheral wall 111. The bottom portion 112 is a plate-like member provided so as to divide the space inside the main body 110 into two, and a storage portion 120 is provided on the one end 111a side of the peripheral wall 111 as viewed from the bottom portion 112. Also, a cap holding portion 130 is provided on the other end 111b side of the peripheral wall 111 on the opposite side as viewed from the bottom portion 112. In this specification, "one end" refers to the end on the "top side" in FIG. 2, and "the other end" refers to the end on the "bottom side" in the same figure.
[0022] A flange 115 is provided to protrude approximately horizontally from the edge of opening 121 of main body 110. This flange 115 allows the contents contained in storage section 120 to be poured smoothly and also allows the liquid to be drained after pouring.
[0023] An annular flange 116 is provided to protrude approximately horizontally from the upper portion of peripheral wall 111 of main body 110. By providing flange 116 on the outer circumferential surface of main body 110 in this manner, even if the contents drip from opening 121, the dripping below flange 116 can be prevented.
[0024] 4, a scale for measuring the content contained in the container 120 is provided below the flange 116. By providing the scale below the flange 116 in this way, the scale is not hidden by the flange 116 and is less affected by dripping, ensuring visibility of the scale.
[0025] The main body 110 is preferably made of a transparent or semi-transparent material. By making the main body 110 of a transparent or semi-transparent material, the contents stored in the storage section 120 can be visually confirmed from the outside. In addition, when attaching the measuring cup 100 to the cap 70, the cap 70, which is hidden below the measuring cup 100 and in a blind spot, can be easily visually confirmed from the outside and inserted into the cap holding section 130. In particular, the material is preferably transparent or semi-transparent to such an extent that the cap 70 held by the cap holding section 130 can be visually confirmed through the double wall surfaces of the peripheral wall 111 and the inner peripheral wall 113 described later.
[0026] <Containment section 120> Of the space within peripheral wall 111 partitioned by bottom 112, the space on one end 111a side of peripheral wall 111 constitutes storage section 120 for storing the contents of packaging container 10. Opening 121 of storage section 120 always faces upward both when measuring cup 100 is in use and when it is stored, so that there is no risk of the contents remaining in storage section 120 dripping out even after use.
[0027] <Cap holding portion 130> Of the space inside the peripheral wall 111 partitioned by the bottom 112, the cap holding part 130 is provided in the space opposite the storage part 120. The cap holding part 130 is partitioned by the bottom 112 and an inner peripheral wall 113 provided inside the peripheral wall 111, and can hold the cap 70 in the space. The inner peripheral wall 113 is formed in a cylindrical shape extending from the bottom 112 to the other end 111b side of the peripheral wall 111, and opens on the opposite side to the opening 121 of the storage part 120. The opening 131 of the cap holding part 130 is formed to have a smaller diameter than the opening 121 of the storage part 120, and is formed on the same axis as the opening 121. Note that the "axis" here means a virtual axis C1 of the cylindrically formed peripheral wall 111 and inner peripheral wall 113.
[0028] The inner circumferential wall 113 is provided on the same axis inside the circumferential wall 111 with a certain gap therebetween. In this embodiment, the distance (height h1) from the bottom 112 to the other end 111b of the circumferential wall 111 and the distance (height h2) from the bottom 112 to the tip 113b of the inner circumferential wall 113 are formed to be approximately equal to each other.
[0029] The inner peripheral wall 113 of the cap holding part 130 is formed so that the cap 70 can be inserted therein and so that the outer peripheral surface 71 of the cap 70 can be held. Specifically, the inner diameter dimension of the inner peripheral wall 113 is formed to be substantially the same as the outer diameter dimension of the cap 70 to be held, and when the cap 70 is pushed to a position to be held, the inner peripheral surface 113c is pressed against the outer peripheral surface 71 of the cap 70. This allows the cap holding part 130 to hold the cap 70. Moreover, the inner peripheral wall 113 of this embodiment is formed so as to be higher than the overall height of the cap 70 so that the cap 70 can be completely inserted into the cap holding part 130.
[0030] 2, in measuring cup 100 of the present invention, cap 70 can be inserted into cap holding part 130 through opening 131 so as to cover top surface 73 of cap 70. Cap 70 inserted into cap holding part 130 is pushed all the way in and fixed and held by forced fit. Note that cap holding part 130 desirably not only holds cap 70 but also has the strength to prevent cap 70 from rotating within cap 102.
[0031] As described above, the storage section 120 and the cap holding section 130 are separated by the bottom 112. The position at which the bottom 112 is provided can be changed depending on the size of the cap 70 held by the cap holding section 130 and the amount of contents to be stored in the storage section 120. In this regard, if the bottom 112 is provided at a position closer to the other end 111b of the peripheral wall 111 as in this embodiment, the center of gravity is lowered when the contents are stored in the storage section 120, and therefore the risk of the measuring cup 100 tipping over is reduced.
[0032] In addition, the bottom 112 in this embodiment is formed in a plate shape as described above. With this configuration, even when a load is concentrated at the joint between the inner wall 113 and the bottom 112 during the opening and closing operation of the cap 70, the load can be absorbed by the deflection caused by the elastic deformation of the bottom 112, thereby preventing damage to the measuring cup 100.
[0033] <Vertical rib 114> In this embodiment, vertical ribs 114 are provided on the inner peripheral surface 113c of the inner peripheral wall 113. As shown in Figures 5 and 6, the vertical ribs 114 in this embodiment are formed at four locations at equal intervals in the circumferential direction on the inner peripheral surface 113c of the inner peripheral wall 113 so as to extend along the axial direction of the inner peripheral wall 113. In this embodiment, the vertical ribs 114 are formed to have a substantially semicircular horizontal cross-sectional shape. Note that the "axial direction" here refers to the direction along the imaginary axis C1 of the inner peripheral wall 113 which is formed in a cylindrical shape.
[0034] FIG. 7 is a partially enlarged view showing one embodiment in which the cap 70 is held by the cap holding portion 130. As shown in the figure, the cap 70 is held by pressing an upper portion 75 of the cap outer peripheral surface 71 against the vertical rib 114. FIG. 8 shows such a contact portion in a plan view. The outer peripheral surface 71 of the cap 70 in this embodiment is formed with teeth 72 by knurling to prevent slipping. As shown in the figure, the teeth 72 on the outer peripheral surface of the cap 70 are formed in a sawtooth shape so that fingers can easily grip the cap when held, and the teeth 72 are pressed against the vertical rib 114, generating resistance in the circumferential direction.
[0035] 6 and 7, the vertical rib 114 in this embodiment is formed so that its protruding height is higher on the bottom 112 side than on the tip 113b side. Note that the "protruding height" here refers to the height h3 that the vertical rib 114 protrudes from the inner circumferential surface 113c of the inner circumferential wall 113 in the radial direction.
[0036] As shown in FIG. 6(B), when the vertical rib 114 is provided so that the protruding height is higher on the bottom 112 side than on the tip 113b side, the inner diameter D1 on the tip 113b side is wider than the inner diameter D2 on the bottom 112 side in the portion where the vertical rib 114 is formed. This provides the following effects. That is, the cap 70 can be easily inserted into the opening 131 of the cap holding part 130. In addition, since the inner diameter of the cap 70 becomes smaller toward the back (bottom 112 side) of the cap holding part 130, the pressure contact between the vertical rib 114 and the outer peripheral surface 71 of the cap 70 becomes stronger depending on the amount of pressing of the cap 70. This allows the cap 70 to be held securely.
[0037] Furthermore, with respect to the caps 70 having different outer diameters, the cap 70 having a smaller outer diameter is held at the innermost side of the cap holding portion 130, whereas the cap 70 having a larger outer diameter is held on the opening 131 side of the cap holding portion 130. In this manner, the cap holding portion 130 of this embodiment can hold caps 70 having different outer diameters.
[0038] In particular, even if the caps of refill containers are manufactured to the same specifications, there may be subtle differences in the outer diameter dimensions depending on the manufacturer. And, when the holding means of the cap 70 is a forced fit, even a slight difference in the outer dimensions of the cap 70 affects the fitting accuracy, but the measuring cup 100 having the vertical rib 114 of this embodiment can be used universally for caps with such differences in outer diameter dimensions.
[0039] The vertical ribs 114 can be formed to any width and protruding height, but the width in the circumferential direction of the peripheral wall 113 is preferably in the range of 0.5 to 2.0 mm, and more preferably in the range of 0.8 to 1.5 mm. Also, the protruding height in the radial direction from the inner peripheral surface 113c is preferably in the range of 0.1 to 1.0 mm, and more preferably in the range of 0.2 to 0.6 mm.
[0040] <Lid part 140> As described above, the measuring cup 100 of this embodiment includes a lid 140 capable of sealing the opening 121. The lid 140 of this embodiment is connected to a flange 116 that protrudes substantially horizontally from the upper part of the peripheral wall 111 via a hinge 117. Such a lid 140 can prevent dripping from the opening 121. Furthermore, by connecting the lid 140 to the main body 110 via the hinge 117 or the like as in this embodiment, it is possible to prevent the lid 140 from being lost. Furthermore, a knob 141 is provided on the front portion of the lid 140 to make it easier to open and close the lid 140.
[0041] The hinge 117 in this embodiment is formed of a band hinge. A band hinge is also preferable from the viewpoint of operation because it can fix the lid 140 in an open state. When the lid 140 is connected to the main body 110 via the hinge 117, it is preferable to adjust the weight balance between the lid 140 and the main body 110 so that the main body 110 does not tip over toward the lid 140 when the lid 140 is placed on a washbasin or the like in a fully open state.
[0042] <Effects of this embodiment> As long as the cap 70 is securely held by the cap holding portion 130, the measuring cup 100 attached to the packaging container 10 is restricted from moving along the top surface 50 as indicated by the arrow A5 in FIG.
[0043] Since the top surface 50 of the packaging container 10 provided with the extraction port is formed flat, either the other end 111b of the peripheral wall 111 or the tip 113b of the inner peripheral wall 113 abuts against the top surface 50 when the container is attached to the cap 70. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 3, when the height h1 of the peripheral wall 111 and the height h2 of the inner peripheral wall 113 are formed to be the same height as viewed from the bottom 112, both the other end 111b of the peripheral wall 111 and the tip 113b of the inner peripheral wall 113 contact the top surface (FIG. 7). With this configuration, the load concentrated on the joint between the inner peripheral wall 113 and the bottom 112 during opening and closing operations of the cap 70 can be dispersed, improving the strength of the measuring cup 100.
[0044] Furthermore, when packaging container 10 is formed of a general paper pack or the like, top surface 50 is not very rigid, and measuring cup 100 attached to cap 70 is unstable. In this regard, by having other end 111b of peripheral wall 111 come into contact with a wider area of top surface 50, it is possible to prevent main body 110 from shaking when cap 70 is opened or closed.
[0045] Depending on the outer diameter and height of the cap 70, even if the cap 70 is closed with the measuring cup 100 attached, either the peripheral wall 111 or the inner peripheral wall 113, or both, may not come into contact with the top surface 50 of the packaging container 10. In this way, when the lower end 113a of the inner peripheral wall 113 and the other end 111b of the peripheral wall 111 are floating above the top surface 50, there is a possibility that the measuring cup 100 may be allowed to wobble. However, even if the main body 110 tilts back and forth or left and right due to wobbling, further tilting is not allowed once a part of the other end 111b of the peripheral wall 111 comes into contact with the top surface 50, so that falling off of the cap 70 can be suppressed.
[0046] <How to use the measuring cup> A method of using measuring cup 100 according to the present invention will be described. First, as a preparation stage for use, cap 70 is held by cap holding part 130. Specifically, cap 70 is inserted into cap holding part 130 from opening 131 so as to cover cap 70 screwed onto the spout of packaging container 10 from above, and is pushed in to a depth where inner circumferential wall 113 (or vertical rib 114) and cap 70 are pressed against each other and fixed.
[0047] Alternatively, the cap 70 may be removed from the spout of the packaging container 10, the measuring cup 100 may be turned upside down, and the cap 70 may be inserted into the cap holder 130 through the opening 131, and then pushed in and fixed. However, the cap 70 of a refillable container or the like often has a narrow spout and is small in size to make it easier to pour the contents into the container body. Therefore, a certain amount of force is required to open it, and it may be difficult for elderly people and children who do not have much strength to open it. In this regard, if the measuring cup 100 of the present invention is attached to the cap 70, the cap 70 can be easily opened, so it is preferable to attach it before opening.
[0048] 1, with measuring cup 100 attached to cap 70, preparation for use is complete. Next, when using, the measuring cup 100 is held by hand, such as by the body 110, and rotated in the direction in which cap 70 can be removed, and measuring cup 100 and cap 70 are removed from the extraction port.
[0049] Once the cap 70 has been removed from the pouring outlet, the lid portion 140 of the measuring cup 100 is opened, the contents are poured from the packaging container 10 into the storage portion 120 to measure the amount, and the measuring cup 100 is used. Then, once use of the measuring cup 100 has been completed, the cap 70 attached to the measuring cup 100 can be screwed onto the pouring outlet of the packaging container 10. In this way, since the cap 70 is always integrated with the measuring cup 100 during use, the risk of accidentally losing the cap 70 is reduced.
[0050] In addition, since the measuring cup 100 of the present invention always has the lid portion 140 facing upward during storage and use, there is no need to worry about dripping from the storage portion 120, and adhesion of the contents to the outside of the measuring cup 100 and to the packaging container 10 can be prevented.
[0051] The measuring cup 100 of the present invention can be manufactured by injection molding of a synthetic resin, but the material and molding method are not limited to this.
[0052] The contents of the packaging container 10 may be liquid, such as liquid detergent or liquid bleach, or may be non-liquid, such as powder, granules, or tablets.
[0053] <Modification> Although the embodiments of the measuring cup of the present invention have been described above, the measuring cup of the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments.
[0054] For example, the peripheral wall 111 of the main body 110 may be formed to have the same diameter at one end 111a and the other end 111b of the peripheral wall 111 instead of being tapered as in the above embodiment. Also, the peripheral wall 111 in the above embodiment is formed so that its horizontal cross-sectional shape is circular, but the cross-sectional shape of the peripheral wall 111 is not limited to this, and it may be formed into a shape other than a circle, such as an ellipse or a polygon.
[0055] In addition, while the inner peripheral wall 113 in the above embodiment is formed into a cylindrical shape that is continuous in the circumferential direction, the shape is not limited to this as long as the cap 70 can be inserted and held inside, and a notch or a recess may be formed to interrupt the circumferential continuity of the inner peripheral wall 113. Furthermore, while the peripheral wall 111 and the inner peripheral wall 113 are provided separately in this embodiment, the peripheral wall 111 and the inner peripheral wall 113 may be formed integrally.
[0056] Furthermore, as long as the height of the inner peripheral wall 113 is sufficient to securely hold the cap 70, it does not need to be formed higher than the overall height of the cap 70 as in the above embodiment, and it may be lower than the overall height of the cap 70.
[0057] Furthermore, the vertical rib 114 does not have to have a higher protruding height on the bottom 112 side than on the tip 113b side as in the above embodiment, and may be formed to the same protruding height from the tip 113b side of the inner wall 113 to the bottom 112 side.
[0058] Also, as shown in FIG. 9, the vertical rib 114 may be formed so that its protruding height does not change in a certain region (r2 part in FIG. 9) from the tip 113b side of the inner wall 113 to the bottom 112 side, and its protruding height gradually increases from the middle of the inner wall 113 to the bottom 112 (r1 part in FIG. 9).
[0059] Furthermore, in the r1 portion where the protruding height of the vertical rib 114 gradually increases, the protruding height may be formed to increase at a constant rate as shown in Fig. 9(A). In that case, the contour of the vertical rib 114 at the r1 portion will be linear in side view. On the other hand, as shown in Fig. 9(B), the rate at which the protruding height of the vertical rib 114 increases may be gradually increased, in which case the contour of the vertical rib 114 at the r1 portion will be curved in side view.
[0060] In this way, the protruding height of the vertical rib 114 is formed to be constant from the tip 113b side of the inner wall 113 to the bottom 112 side until it is halfway up, and then gradually increases from that point on, making it possible to insert the cap 70 deeper into the cap holding portion 130.
[0061] Furthermore, the vertical ribs 114 do not have to be provided over the entire height of the inner peripheral wall 113. For example, as shown in the range r3 in Fig. 9, the vertical ribs 114 may be formed at a certain distance from the tip 113b, rather than being provided on a portion of the inner peripheral wall 113 on the tip 113b side. In this case, a rib provided at the lower end of the outer peripheral surface 71 of the cap 70 may be accommodated in the r3 portion where the vertical ribs 114 on the tip 113b side are not provided.
[0062] Although the cross-sectional shape of the vertical rib 114 in the above embodiment is formed to be approximately semicircular, it is not limited thereto, and may be formed to be a mountain-shaped, semicircular, triangular, other polygonal cross-sectional shape, etc. Also, although the vertical rib 114 in the above embodiment is provided in a total of four places, it is preferable to provide it in at least three places or more, and it may be provided in multiple places all around the circumferential direction of the inner peripheral surface 113c.
[0063] Also, the lid portion 140 may be formed separately from the main body 110 and formed so as to be able to be screwed onto the upper portion of the main body 110 with a screw or the like.
[0064] The packaging container 10 in which the measuring cup 100 of the present invention can be used is not limited to a gable roof type, but may be of other shapes, such as a cube or rectangular parallelepiped.
[0065] Various embodiments and modifications have been described above, but it goes without saying that these embodiments and modifications may be combined together. Furthermore, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and can be embodied in various forms without departing from the gist of the present disclosure.
