Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a coil device that can be used as a transformer or the like provided inside a charging station for electric vehicles, for example. [Background technology]
[0002] Relatively large coil devices capable of handling high voltage and large current are often used inside charging stations for electric vehicles, etc. Furthermore, to ensure stable operation of charging stations, etc., such coil devices are required to have high durability.
[0003] As a conventional transformer capable of handling large currents, for example, one in which the end of the secondary coil is fixed to a base plate outside the transformer has been proposed. However, in such a conventional transformer, since the end of the secondary coil is fixed to the base plate, which is an external member of the transformer, the fixing position of the secondary coil is likely to vary, which may result in complicated assembly work or insufficient reliability in fixing the coil, which is problematic. [0004] [Patent Document 1] JP 2002-281758 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] The present disclosure has been made in consideration of the above circumstances, and provides a coil device that can be fixed reliably and easily, ensures reliability, and ensures insulation distance even in a compact shape. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] In order to achieve the above object, a coil device according to the present disclosure includes: Bobbin and A core attached to the bobbin; a first coil and a second coil wound around the bobbin; the bobbin has a first terminal block on which a first terminal to which an end of the first coil is connected is provided, a second terminal block on which a second terminal to which an end of the second coil is connected is provided, and a plurality of fixing portions for fixing the bobbin to another member; In a height direction that is a direction parallel to the winding axes of the first coil and the second coil, the first terminal block is located at a first height, and the second terminal block is located at a second height different from the first height.
[0007] In the coil device according to the present disclosure, since the bobbin has the first terminal block and the second terminal block, the ends of the first coil and the second coil can be fixed with high precision, and the fixing reliability of the first coil and the second coil is high. In addition, since the bobbin has a plurality of fixing parts in addition to the first terminal block and the second terminal block, it can be easily and reliably fixed to other members such as a versatile base plate. In addition, since the coil device according to the present disclosure has different height positions of the first terminal block and the second terminal block, it is possible to ensure an insulation distance between the first terminal and the second terminal even in a compact shape.
[0008] Also, for example, the bobbin may include a first bobbin having the first terminal block and the multiple fixing portions and around which the first coil is wound, and a second bobbin that is separable from the first bobbin, has the second terminal block, and around which the second coil is wound.
[0009] Since the first and second bobbins are separable, the first and second coils can be formed separately on each bobbin and then assembled, making such a coil device easy to assemble. Also, since the first and second terminal blocks are provided separately as the separable first and second bobbins, the difference in height between the first and second terminal blocks can be made large.
[0010] For example, the coil device according to the present disclosure may include a pair of insulating covers attached to the bobbin from both sides and covering at least a portion of the first coil and the second coil, The pair of insulating covers may each have a first engagement portion that engages with the first bobbin and a second engagement portion that engages with the second bobbin, connecting the first bobbin and the second bobbin.
[0011] In such a coil device, since the pair of insulating covers connect the first bobbin and the second bobbin, even if the bobbin is separable into the first bobbin and the second bobbin, the coil device can be assembled easily and accurately.
[0012] For example, the coil device according to the present disclosure may include a pair of insulating covers attached to the bobbin from both sides and covering at least a portion of the first coil and the second coil, The pair of insulating covers may each have an extension portion that is positioned inside one of the multiple fixing portions and outside the end of the first coil when viewed along the height direction.
[0013] A pair of insulating covers having such extensions can increase the insulation distance between the end of the first coil and the first terminal to which the end of the first coil is connected, and the fixed member connected to the fixed portion.
[0014] Also, for example, the length by which the first terminal block protrudes from the winding shaft in a first direction perpendicular to the height direction is longer than the length by which the second terminal block protrudes from the winding shaft in the first direction.
[0015] By making the protruding length of the first terminal block longer than the protruding length of the second terminal block, it is possible to prevent the entirety of a specific surface of the first terminal block facing the second terminal block from being hidden by the second terminal block, making it possible to smoothly perform installation work on the first terminal block, etc.
[0016] Also, for example, the first terminal block may be formed with a first terminal fixing portion for fixing the first terminal, The first terminal fixing portion may be disposed at a position not overlapping with the second terminal block when viewed along the height direction.
[0017] Such a coil device is easy to assemble and maintain because the first terminal fixing portion can be easily accessed with a tool.
[0018] Also, for example, the first terminal block may be formed with a guide groove that guides an end of the first coil.
[0019] By forming the guide groove, the end of the first coil can be securely held by the first terminal block, and the insulation distance between the end of the first coil and other parts can be increased. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0021] First embodiment Hereinafter, the present disclosure will be described based on the embodiments shown in the drawings. The coil device 10 according to the present embodiment shown in Fig. 1 is suitable as a transformer used in, for example, a charging station for an automobile. However, the use of the coil device 10 is not limited to only a charging station for an automobile. The same applies to the other embodiments. As shown in Fig. 1, the coil device 10 has a bobbin 20, a core 50, a first coil 60, a second coil 70, a third coil 76, a pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b, a tape 18, etc.
[0022] FIG. 2 is a side view of the coil device 10, and FIG. 3 is a top view of the coil device 10. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the coil device 10 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped outer shape. FIG. 4 is an exploded perspective view of the coil device 10 shown in FIGS. 1 to 3. As shown in FIG. 4, in the coil device 10, a pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b and a core 50 are attached to the bobbin 20 around which the first to third coils 60, 70, 76 are wound. Note that the tape 18 and the external wirings 16, 17 shown in FIG. 1 are not shown in FIG. 4.
[0023] As shown in Fig. 4, the core 50 is composed of a first core portion 50a and a second core portion 50b which are shaped substantially symmetrically to each other, and the first core portion 50a and the second core portion 50b are attached to sandwich the bobbin 20 from above and below. After being assembled to the bobbin 20, the core 50 is fixed by the tape 18 shown in Fig. 1. An adhesive or the like may be used to fix the core 50 to the bobbin 20, if necessary.
[0024] The core 50 of the coil device 10 is an EE core having a first core portion 50a and a second core portion 50b, but the core 50 is not limited to an EE core and may be an EI core or other shape. Also, the core 50 is not limited to being divided into two portions, the first core portion 50a and the second core portion 50b, but may be divided into three or four portions.
[0025] The core 50 has a core middle leg 52 that passes through the hollow portion 20a of the bobbin 20, core side legs 53 and 54 that extend vertically in parallel with the core middle leg 52, and core connection parts 56 and 58 that vertically connect both ends of the core middle leg 52 and the core side legs 53 and 54. The core 50 is made of a metal such as iron or a magnetic material such as ferrite. A gap may be formed in the connection part between the first core part 50a and the second core part 50b in the core middle leg 52 or the core side legs 53 and 54 depending on the characteristics required of the coil device 10, or a non-magnetic gap material for forming the gap may be disposed.
[0026] 5 is a partial view of the coil device 10 shown in FIG 1 with the core 50, the pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b, and the tape 18 not shown. As shown in FIG 5, a first coil 60, a second coil 70, and a third coil 76 are wound around the bobbin 20.
[0027] 6 is a perspective view showing the bobbin 20 of the coil device 10. The bobbin 20 has a first terminal block 32, a second terminal block 42, and a third terminal block 47. The bobbin 20 also has a plurality of fixing portions 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d for fixing the coil device 10 to another member.
[0028] 5, the bobbin 20 can be separated into two parts, an upper part and a lower part, with respect to a height direction H that is a direction parallel to the winding axis A of the first coil 60 and the second coil 70. That is, the bobbin 20 has a first bobbin 30 that constitutes approximately the lower half of the bobbin 20, and a second bobbin 40 that constitutes approximately the upper half of the bobbin 20.
[0029] As shown in Fig. 6, the first bobbin 30 in the bobbin 20 has a first terminal block 32, a plurality of fixing portions 31a, 31b, 31c, 31d, and a first bobbin body 30c. As shown in Fig. 5, a first winding portion 62 of a first coil 60 is wound around the first bobbin body 30c of the first bobbin 30.
[0030] 1, the first terminal block 32 is provided with a pair of first terminals 35. A pair of first coil ends 64, which are both ends of the first coil 60, are connected to the pair of first terminals 35. As shown in FIG 5, the first terminal block 32 and the multiple fixing portions 31a, 31b, 31c, 31d are disposed below the first bobbin body 30c.
[0031] As shown in Fig. 6, the second bobbin 40 in the bobbin 20 is disposed directly above the first bobbin 30 and is separable from the first bobbin 30. The fact that the second bobbin 40 is separable from the first bobbin 30 means that the second bobbin 40 and the first bobbin 30 are manufactured separately, and the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40 are combined when assembling the coil device 10 to form the bobbin 20. Therefore, even if the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40 are in a state in which they cannot be easily separated after assembly due to adhesion or the like, as long as they are combined and not integrally molded, it is specified that the second bobbin 40 and the first bobbin 30 are separable.
[0032] As shown in Fig. 6, the second bobbin 40 has a second terminal block 42, a third terminal block 47, and a second bobbin body 40c. As shown in Fig. 5, a second winding portion 72 of the second coil 70 and a third winding portion 77 of the third coil 76 are wound around the second bobbin body 40c of the second bobbin 40.
[0033] As shown in FIG. 1, the second terminal block 42 is provided with a pair of second terminals 45. A pair of second coil ends 74, which are both ends of the second coil 70, are connected to the pair of second terminals 45. In addition, the third terminal block 47 is provided with a pair of third terminals 25. A pair of third coil ends 78, which are both ends of the third coil 76, are connected to the pair of third terminals 25. As shown in FIG. 5, the second terminal block 42 and the third terminal block 47 are disposed above the second bobbin body 40c.
[0034] As shown in Figures 5 and 6, the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40 are stacked vertically to form the bobbin 20, and are assembled so that the upper surface of the first bobbin 30, i.e., the first bobbin upper surface 30a, and the lower surface of the second bobbin 40, i.e., the second bobbin lower surface 40a, face each other.
[0035] 2, the first terminal block 32 is located at a first height H1 in the height direction H, and the second terminal block 42 is located at a second height H2 different from the first height H1 in the height direction H. Similarly to the second terminal block 42, the third terminal block 47 is located at the second height H2 in the height direction H. Note that the heights H1 and H2 of each portion are defined as the distance along the height direction H from the end of the coil device 10 on the fixed portions 31a-31d side (coil bottom end 10a) to the upper end of each portion, as shown in FIG.
[0036] 3, the first terminal block 32 and the second terminal block 42 have different protruding lengths in a first direction D1 perpendicular to the height direction H. That is, a first protruding length L1, which is the protruding length of the first terminal block 32 from the winding axis A in the first direction D1, is longer than a second protruding length L2, which is the protruding length of the second terminal block 42 from the winding axis A in the first direction D1. Note that, in this embodiment, the first direction D1 is parallel to a center line C that passes through a center position C1 of the gap between the pair of first terminals 35, a center position C2 of the gap between the pair of second terminals 45, and the winding axis A when the coil device 10 is viewed from above along the height direction H.
[0037] Furthermore, as shown in Fig. 6, a first terminal fixing portion 33 for fixing a first terminal 35 (see Fig. 3) is formed on the first terminal block 32. The first terminal fixing portion 33 shown in Fig. 6 is a recess for receiving a bolt and nut serving as a first terminal fixing metal fitting 36 for fixing the first terminal 35 shown in Fig. 3, and the first terminal 35 is fixed to the first terminal fixing portion 33 via the first terminal fixing metal fitting 36 as shown in Fig. 3.
[0038] 3, the first terminal fixing portion 33 (see FIG. 6) is disposed at a position not overlapping with the second terminal block 42 when the coil device 10 is viewed from above along the height direction H. In FIG. 3, the position of the first terminal fixing portion 33 is recognized as the position of the first terminal fixing metal fitting 36.
[0039] 6, the second terminal block 42 and the third terminal block 47 are formed with a second terminal fixing portion 43 and a third terminal fixing portion 48 for fixing the second terminal 45 and the third terminal 25. As shown in FIG. 3, the second terminal 45 is fixed to the second terminal fixing portion 43 via a second terminal fixing metal fitting 46, and the third terminal 25 is fixed to the third terminal fixing portion 48 via a third terminal fixing metal fitting 26. Note that the first to third terminal fixing metal fittings 36, 46, 26 are not limited to bolts and nuts, and the first to third terminals 35, 45, 25 may be fixed to the first to third terminal fixing portions 33, 43, 48 by other metal fittings or fixing structures.
[0040] 3, the first terminal block 32 also has a different protruding length in the first direction D1 relative to the third terminal block 47. That is, the third terminal block 47 protrudes in the opposite direction relative to the first terminal block 32 and the second terminal block 42 with respect to the winding axis A. The third protruding length L3, which is the protruding length of the third terminal block 47 from the winding axis A in the first direction D1, has an absolute value substantially equal to the second protruding length L2 and is opposite in sign.
[0041] 3, the first terminal fixing portion 33 (see FIG. 6) is disposed at a position that does not overlap not only the second terminal block 42 but also the third terminal block 47 when the coil device 10 is viewed from above along the height direction H. In the coil device 10, the second terminal block 42 and the third terminal block 47 are substantially symmetrical to each other with respect to the winding axis A, but the second terminal block 42 and the third terminal block 47 may also be asymmetrical.
[0042] 1 and 3, the first bobbin 30 of the bobbin 20 has four fixing parts 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d. A through hole is formed in each of the fixing parts 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d. A fastener such as a bolt used for fixing the coil device 10 to another member such as a substrate is inserted into the through hole of each of the fixing parts 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d.
[0043] 3, fixed portions 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d are disposed at approximately equal intervals on a circumference surrounding winding axis A so that winding axis A is disposed near the center of a polygon (a quadrangle in this embodiment) connecting fixed portions 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d. Arranging fixed portions 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d in this manner is preferable in terms of improving the fixing stability of coil device 10 to other members.
[0044] As shown in Fig. 2, the four fixing parts 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d are aligned in the height direction H, and are all located near the coil bottom end 10a. As shown in Fig. 1, it is preferable to connect one or more of the fixing parts 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d (fixing parts 31a and 31b in the coil device 10) to the first terminal block 32 in order to improve the fixing stability of the coil device 10 to other members. However, the number and arrangement of the fixing parts 31a, 31b, 31c, and 31d are not limited to those of the coil device 10 shown in Figs. 1 to 6, and any number of fixing parts can be arranged at any position on the bobbin 20.
[0045] The first coil 60 has a first winding portion 62 wound around the first bobbin body 30c as shown in FIG. 5, and a pair of first coil ends 64 that are drawn from the first winding portion 62 to the first terminal block 32 and connect to the first terminals 35 as shown in FIG. 1. As shown in FIG. 1, the first terminal block 32 is formed with a first guide groove 34 that guides the first coil ends 64, which are the ends of the first coil 60. The first coil ends 64 are drawn downward from the first winding portion 62. The first coil ends 64 are guided by the first guide groove 34 to prevent them from floating up from the first terminal block 32, and it is possible to reliably ensure the insulation distance.
[0046] 5, the second coil 70 has a second winding portion 72 wound around the second bobbin body 40c, and a pair of second coil ends 74 drawn from the second winding portion 72 to the second terminal block 42 and connected to the second terminals 45. As shown in FIG. 1, the second terminal block 42 is formed with a second guide groove 44 that guides the second coil ends 74, which are the ends of the second coil 70.
[0047] 5, the third coil 76 has a third winding portion 77 that is wound around the second bobbin body 40c in the same manner as the second coil 70, and a pair of third coil ends 78 that are drawn out from the third winding portion 77 to the third terminal block 47 and connected to the third terminals 25. As shown in FIG. 1, the third terminal block 47 is formed with a third guide groove 49 that guides the third coil ends 78, which are the ends of the third coil 76.
[0048] The first to third coil end portions 64, 74, 78 are fixed to the first to third terminals 35, 45, 25 by fusing, thermocompression, or the like. However, the method of fixing the first to third coil end portions 64, 74, 78 to the first to third terminals 35, 45, 25 is not limited to fusing or thermocompression.
[0049] As shown in FIG. 4, the pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b are attached to the bobbin 20 from both sides in the second direction D2. Here, the second direction D2 is a direction perpendicular to both the height direction H and the first direction D1. The insulating covers 80a, 80b cover at least a part of the first coil 60, the second coil 70, and the third coil 76. In particular, the insulating covers 80a, 80b are disposed between the first bobbin body 30c and the second bobbin body 40c and the core-side legs 53, 54 so as to cover the first winding portion 62 wound around the first bobbin body 30c and the second winding portion 72 and the third winding portion 77 wound around the second bobbin body 40c from the outside of the bobbin 20. Such insulating covers 80a, 80b can increase the insulation distance between the first to third winding portions 62, 72, 77, and the core 50.
[0050] As shown in Fig. 4, the pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b have first engaging parts 81a, 81b that engage with the first bobbin 30 constituting the lower part of the bobbin 20, and second engaging parts 82a, 82b that engage with the second bobbin 40 constituting the upper part of the bobbin 20. The second engaging parts 82a, 82b are formed on the insulating covers 80a, 80b in a portion that faces the upper surface of the second bobbin body 40c from above, and engage with the bobbin side engaging part 40d formed on the upper surface of the second bobbin body 40c. The first engaging parts 81a, 81b are formed on the surface of the insulating covers 80a, 80b that faces the lower surface of the first bobbin body 30c from below, and engage with the bobbin side engaging part (hidden by other members in Fig. 4) formed on the lower surface of the first bobbin body 30c.
[0051] A pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b having first engaging portions 81a, 81b and second engaging portions 82a, 82b sandwich the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40 from above and below, and connect the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40. In such a coil device 10, the pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b can hold the separable first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40 so that they do not separate, and therefore the process of assembling the core first portion 50a and the core second portion 50b to the bobbin 20 can be easily performed.
[0052] 4, the pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b each have extensions 84a, 84b that protrude in the first direction D1 from a portion of the insulating covers 80a, 80b facing the first bobbin body 30c and the second bobbin body 40c. As shown in FIG. 1, the extensions 84a, 84b of the insulating covers 80a, 80b are exposed above the first terminal block 32 from between the core-side legs 53, 54 and the first bobbin body 30c and the second bobbin body 40c.
[0053] 3, when viewed from above along the height direction H, the extensions 84a, 84b are disposed inside fixed part 31a, which is one of the multiple fixed parts 31a to 31d, and fixed part 31d, which is the other one, and outside the first coil end 64. Such extensions 84a, 84b can increase the insulation distance between the first coil end 64 and the fixing members and core side legs 53, 54 of the coil device 10 provided on the fixed parts 31a, 31d, and thereby improve the voltage resistance characteristics of the coil device 10.
[0054] In manufacturing the coil device 10, a wire that will become the first coil 60 is wound around the first bobbin 30 to produce the first bobbin 30 wound with the first coil 60. In addition, by connecting the first terminal 35 to the first coil end 64 of the first coil 60 and fixing the first terminal 35 to the first terminal block 32, it is possible to prevent the first coil 60 from becoming unwound.
[0055] On the other hand, wires to become the second coil 70 and the third coil 76 are wound around the second bobbin 40 to produce the second bobbin 40 wound with the second coil 70 and the third coil 76. Similarly to the first coil 60, the second terminal 45 and the third terminal 25 are connected to the second coil end 74 and the third coil end 78 of the second coil 70 and the third coil 76, respectively, and the second terminal 45 is fixed to the second terminal block 42, and the third terminal 25 is fixed to the third terminal block 47.
[0056] Since the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40 shown in Fig. 6 are separable, the process of winding the first coil 60 and the process of winding and fixing the second and third coils 70, 76 can be performed separately while the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40 are separated from each other. Furthermore, the first bobbin 30 around which the first coil 60 is wound and the second bobbin 40 around which the second coil 70 and the third coil 76 are wound are stacked as shown in Fig. 5. Next, a pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b are attached to both sides of the stacked first bobbin 30 and second bobbin 40 as shown in Fig. 4, and the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40 are connected via the insulating covers 80a, 80b.
[0057] Furthermore, the first core part 50a and the second core part 50b shown in FIG. 4 are attached to the bobbin 20 on which the first to third coils 60, 70, 76 are wound and on which the insulating covers 80a, 80b are attached, and fixed with the tape 18 shown in FIG. 1 or the like, thereby obtaining the coil device 10.
[0058] The core 50 is made of a magnetic material such as metal or ferrite. The bobbin 20 and the insulating covers 80a, 80b are made of an insulating material such as resin. The first to third coils 60, 70, 76 are made of a coated conductor wire or the like. The first to third terminals 35, 45, 25 are made of a metal such as a copper alloy such as phosphor bronze.
[0059] In the coil device 10 shown in Figs. 1 to 6, the bobbin 20 has the first terminal block 32 and the second terminal block 42, so that the first coil end 64 and the second coil end 74, which are the ends of the first coil 60 and the second coil 70, can be fixed with high accuracy, and the fixing reliability of the first coil 60 and the second coil 70 is high. The third coil also has a third terminal block 47, which is similar. In addition, the bobbin 20 (particularly the first bobbin 30) has a plurality of fixing parts 31a to 31d in addition to the first terminal block 32 and the second terminal block 42, so that it can be easily and reliably fixed to other members such as a versatile base plate or substrate. In addition, in the coil device 10, the first terminal block 32 and the second terminal block 42 are located at different positions in the height direction H as shown in Fig. 2, so that the insulation distance between the first terminal 35 and the second terminal 45 is ensured even in a compact shape, and excellent voltage resistance characteristics are exhibited.
[0060] In addition, since the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40 are separable, the first coil 60, the second coil 70, and the third coil 76 can be formed separately on the first and second bobbins 30, 40 and then assembled, making the coil device 10 easy to assemble. The insulating cover shown in Fig. 4 not only ensures the insulation distance between the first to third coils 60, 70, 76 and the core 50, but also connects the first bobbin 30 and the second bobbin 40, thereby enabling easy and highly accurate assembly of the coil device 10.
[0061] 2 and 3, the coil device 10 prevents a predetermined surface of the first terminal block 32 facing the second terminal block 42 (upward) from being entirely hidden by the second terminal block 42 by making the protruding length L1 of the first terminal block 32 longer than the protruding length L2 of the second terminal block 42. This allows the coil device 10 to smoothly perform the attachment work of the external wiring 17, etc. to the first terminal block 32. In particular, it is preferable that the first terminal fixing portion 33 (see FIG. 6) is disposed at a position that does not overlap with the second terminal block 42 when viewed along the height direction H. Such a coil device 10 allows easy access of a tool to a fixing device such as a bolt provided on the first terminal fixing portion 33, and therefore is easy to assemble and has good maintainability.
[0062] 1 and 2, one end of the external wiring 17, 16 formed of a bus bar is fixed to the first terminal block 32 and the second terminal block 42 via the first terminal fixing metal fitting 36 and the second terminal fixing metal fitting 46. This allows the external wiring 17, 16 to be electrically connected to the first terminal 35 and the second terminal 45, forming a wiring path to the coil device 10. In addition, in FIGS. 1 and 2, the external wiring connected to the third terminal 25 is not shown. Furthermore, the external wiring 17, 16 forming the wiring path to the coil device 10 is not limited to the bus bar as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, and the wiring path may be formed by a lead wire or other conductive wire.
[0063] Second embodiment Fig. 7 is a perspective view of a coil device 110 according to the second embodiment. The coil device 110 differs from the coil device 10 shown in Fig. 1 in that it does not have parts corresponding to the third coil 76, the third terminal 25, and the third terminal fixing metal 26. However, the coil device 110 is similar to the coil device 10 except that it does not have the third coil 76, the third terminal 25, and the third terminal fixing metal 26. In the explanation of the coil device 110, only the differences from the coil device 10 will be explained, and the points in common with the coil device 10 will be denoted by the same reference numerals as the coil device 10 and explanations thereof will be omitted.
[0064] As shown in Fig. 7, the coil device 110 has a bobbin 20, a core 50, a first coil 60, a second coil 70, a pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b, a tape 18, etc., and these members are similar to those of the coil device 10 shown in Fig. 1. Fig. 8 is a top view of the coil device 110, and Fig. 9 is an exploded perspective view of the coil device 110.
[0065] 9, only the second winding portion 72 of the second coil 70 is wound around the second bobbin 40 of the coil device 110, and the coil device 110 does not have a third coil. Note that, like the first bobbin 30 of the coil device 10, the first winding portion 62 of the first coil 60 is wound around the first bobbin 30 of the coil device 110.
[0066] 7 and 8, a third terminal fixing portion 48 and a third guide groove 49 are formed in the third terminal block 47 of the coil device 110, but a third terminal fixing metal fitting and a third coil end portion are not disposed in the third terminal fixing portion 48 and the third guide groove 49. Furthermore, a third terminal 25 is not fixed to the third terminal block 47. The coil device 110 does not have a third coil, and therefore does not require a third terminal.
[0067] Whether the coil device 110 shown in Figures 7 to 9 has only the first coil 60 wound around the first bobbin 30 and the second coil 70 wound around the second bobbin 40, or whether the coil device 10 shown in Figure 1 has the first to third coils 60, 70, 76, can be appropriately selected according to the performance required of the coil device. Even if the coil device 110 does not have a third coil, as in the coil device 110 shown in Figures 7 to 9, the second bobbin 40 constituting the bobbin 20 may have a third terminal block 47 on which no terminal or coil end is arranged.
[0068] As a modified example of coil device 110, second coil end 74 may be drawn out to third terminal block 47, and third terminal block 47 protruding in the opposite direction from first terminal block 32 with respect to winding axis A as a reference may be used as a second terminal block on which second terminal 45 to which second coil end 74 is connected is provided. That is, the second terminal block on which second terminal 45 to which second coil end 74 is connected may be one that protrudes on the same side as first terminal block 32, as in second terminal block 42 shown in Fig. 8, or may be one that protrudes on the opposite side from first terminal block 32, as in third terminal block 47 shown in Fig. 8.
[0069] The coil device 110 shown in FIGS. 7 to 9 has the same effects as the coil device 10 shown in FIGS.
[0070] Third embodiment 10 is a perspective view of a coil device 210 according to the third embodiment. The coil device 210 differs from the coil device 10 shown in FIG. 1 in that the coil device 210 does not have a portion corresponding to the third coil, the third terminal, and the third terminal fixing metal, and in that the second bobbin 240 does not have a portion corresponding to the third terminal block. However, the coil device 210 is similar to the coil device 10 except that the coil device 210 does not have the third coil 76, the third terminal 25, the third terminal fixing metal 26, and the third terminal block. In the description of the coil device 210, only the differences from the coil device 10 will be described, and the commonalities with the coil device 10 will be denoted by the same reference numerals as the coil device 10 and will not be described.
[0071] As shown in Fig. 10, the coil device 210 has a bobbin 220, a core 50, a first coil 60, a second coil 70, a pair of insulating covers 80a, 80b, a tape 18, etc., and these members are similar to the corresponding members of the coil device 10 shown in Fig. 1 except for the bobbin 220. Fig. 11 is a side view of the coil device 210, Fig. 12 is a top view of the coil device 210, and Fig. 13 is an exploded perspective view of the coil device 210.
[0072] 10 to 13, the bobbin 220 of the coil device 210 has a first bobbin 30 constituting approximately the lower half of the bobbin 220, and a second bobbin 240 constituting approximately the upper half of the bobbin 220. The first bobbin 30 is similar to the first bobbin 30 in the bobbin 20 of the coil device 10 shown in FIGS. 1 to 6.
[0073] 10 to 13, the second bobbin 240 has a second terminal block 42 and a second bobbin body 40c, similar to the second bobbin 40 shown in FIG. 4, but does not have a portion corresponding to the third terminal block 47, unlike the second bobbin 40. In addition, only the second winding portion 72 of the second coil 70 is wound around the second bobbin 240 of the coil device 210, and the coil device 110 does not have a third coil. Note that the first bobbin 30 of the coil device 210 has the first winding portion 62 of the first coil 60 wound around it, similar to the first bobbin 30 of the coil device 10.
[0074] 12, the coil device 210 does not have a portion corresponding to the third terminal block in the coil device 10, and therefore it is possible to reduce the size of the coil device 210, particularly the upper portion thereof. In addition, since the coil device 210 does not have a third coil, it does not require a third terminal or a third terminal block for fixing the third terminal.
[0075] When manufacturing a coil device having only the first coil 60 wound around the first bobbin 30 and the second coil 70 wound around the second bobbin 40, it is possible to appropriately select whether to use the second bobbin 40 having the third terminal block 47 (see coil device 110 shown in FIG. 8) or to use the second bobbin 240 not having the third terminal block (see coil device 210 shown in FIG. 12). The coil device 110 using the second bobbin 40 having the third terminal block 47 has an advantage in terms of cost reduction, since the second bobbin 40 can be a common component with the coil device 10.
[0076] As a modified example of the coil device 210, the second bobbin 240 may be rotated 180 degrees around the winding axis A relative to the first bobbin 30 and stacked to form a bobbin. In this case, the second terminal block 42 shown in FIG. 12 protrudes in the opposite direction to the first terminal block 32 with respect to the winding axis A.
[0077] The coil device 210 shown in FIGS. 10 to 13 has the same effects as the coil device 110 in terms of the points in common with the coil device 10 shown in FIGS.
[0078] Although the coil device according to the present disclosure has been described above with reference to several embodiments, it goes without saying that the coil device according to the present disclosure is not limited to these embodiments and includes many other embodiments and modifications. For example, the coil device may have coils other than the first to third coils 60, 70, 76, and may have terminal blocks other than the first to third terminal blocks 32, 42, 47.
