Abstract

To achieve higher functionality while maintaining a pixel size.SOLUTION: A sensor element disclosed herein includes: a sensor substrate in which a SPAD is provided for each pixel; a CMOS substrate that is superposed on the sensor substrate and is provided with a transistor for reading a signal; a logic substrate which is superposed on the CMOS substrate and on which a logic circuit is provided; and a through electrode that passes through the CMOS substrate and electrically connects an anode region of the sensor substrate and the CMOS substrate.
