Abstract

To inhibit disturbance of gas flow above a stator of an electric motor and reduce discharge of oil of a compressor.SOLUTION: A compressor (10) is provided with: a compression mechanism (30); a drive shaft (40); and an electrical motor (70) which rotates the drive shaft to drive the compression mechanism. The drive shaft extends in a vertical direction. The electrical motor includes: a rotor (71) coupled to the drive shaft; and a stator (72) disposed on the outer circumferential side of the rotor. The rotor is provided with a first gas passage (75) that penetrates the same in the vertical direction. A lid member (110) and a cylindrical member (103) are arranged above the rotor. The lid member has a plate shape facing an opening end (75a) of the first gas passage at an upper end (71a) of the rotor. The cylindrical member extends downward from the lid member on the outer circumferential side of the first gas passage. A gap (120) extending in a circumferential direction of the cylindrical member is formed between a lower end (103a) of the cylindrical member and the upper end of the rotor. A first space (U) that is surrounded by the upper end of the rotor, the lid member, and the cylindrical member, and that is open on the outer circumferential side through the gap is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
