Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a kick scooter that is driven by a user standing on the deck. [Background technology]

[0002] The kick scooter includes a deck on which a user stands, a rear wheel rotatably supported on the rear side of the deck, a main frame bar connected to the deck by a frame, a front wheel rotatably supported on the lower end of the main frame bar, and a rod-shaped handle bar extending from the upper end of the main frame bar in a direction approximately perpendicular to the main frame bar. There are two types of kick scooters: a self-propelled type that moves when the user kicks the ground with their feet, and a powered type that moves by driving the rear wheel with an electric motor or an internal combustion engine.

[0003] Due to a revision to the Road Traffic Act in 2023, electric kick scooters can now be ridden on public roads by people aged 16 and over, as long as they meet certain standards as specified small motorized bicycles (complying with safety standards, obtaining a license plate, and taking out compulsory automobile liability insurance). In addition, specified small motorized bicycles are subject to the following conditions: a maximum speed of 20km / h or less, a rated output of 0.6kW or less, a length of 1.9m or less, and a width of 0.6m or less. These types of conditions are established due to risk considerations.

[0004] An example of this type of kick scooter is described in JP 2022-074183 A.

[0005] [Patent Document 1] Patent Publication No. 2022-074183 DISCLOSURE OF THEINVENTION [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] However, there is no weight limit set for specific small motorized bicycles. In other words, riders can legally ride them even if they weigh more than 100 kg or are carrying heavy luggage. In addition, two people can ride them. Since kinetic energy is proportional to the mass of a moving object and the square of its speed, the danger is greater even at a low speed if the user is heavy or carrying heavy luggage.

[0007] The present invention was devised in consideration of the above circumstances, and aims to provide a kick scooter that can ensure safety by preventing it from moving when a weight exceeding a predetermined value is applied. [Means for solving the problem]

[0008] The kick scooter of the present invention becomes unable to move when a weight exceeding a certain level is applied thereto, thereby further improving the safety of the kick scooter. Furthermore, since the weight applied is not detected by a sensor or the like to prevent the electric motor from being driven, but is prevented from moving mechanically, it can be operated cheaply and reliably. Effect of the Invention

[0009] The kick scooter of the present invention is a kick scooter comprising a deck on which a user rides, a rear wheel rotatably supported on the rear side of the deck, a main frame bar connected to the deck by a frame, a front wheel rotatably supported on the lower end of the main frame bar, and a rod-shaped handle bar extending from the upper end of the main frame bar in a direction approximately perpendicular to the main frame bar, wherein the deck comprises a front deck, a rear deck, and a spring plate connecting the front deck and the rear deck, and the spring plate is configured to bend when a weight greater than a predetermined value is applied to it.

[0010] The spring plate is provided with a brake shoe that comes into contact with the ground when a predetermined weight or more is applied and the brake shoe bends.

[0011] At least one of the front deck and the rear deck may be provided with a brake shoe that comes into contact with the ground when a predetermined weight or more is applied thereto and bends.

[0012] Furthermore, the kick scooter of the present invention is a kick scooter comprising a deck on which a user rides, a rear wheel rotatably supported on the rear side of the deck, a main frame bar rotatably connected to the deck, a front wheel rotatably supported on the lower end of the main frame bar, a rod-shaped handle bar extending from the upper end of the main frame bar in a direction approximately perpendicular to the main frame bar, and a cover provided above the rear wheel, wherein the rear wheel is rotatably supported on a spring plate connected to the rear end of the deck, and the spring plate is configured to deform when a weight greater than a predetermined value is applied thereto, so that the rear wheel comes into contact with a brake shoe provided inside the cover. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0013] [Figure 1] 1 is a schematic perspective view of a kick scooter according to a first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. [Diagram 2] 1 is a schematic side view showing a front deck, a rear deck, and a spring plate that constitute the deck of a kick scooter according to a first embodiment of the present invention. [Diagram 3] 1 is a schematic side view showing a state in which the kick scooter according to the first embodiment of the present invention cannot travel. [Figure 4] 11 is a schematic perspective view showing a main part of a kick scooter according to a second embodiment of the present invention. FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0014] A kick scooter 1000 according to a first embodiment of the present invention is a kick scooter comprising a deck 100 on which a user rides, a rear wheel 200 rotatably supported on the rear side of the deck 100, a main frame bar 400 rotatably connected to the deck 100 by a frame 300, a front wheel 500 rotatably supported at the lower end of the main frame bar 400, and a rod-shaped handle bar 600 extending from the upper end of the main frame bar 400 in a direction approximately perpendicular to the main frame bar 400. The deck 100 comprises a front deck 110, a rear deck 120, and a spring plate 130 connecting the front deck 110 and the rear deck 120, and the spring plate 130 is configured to bend when a weight greater than a predetermined value is applied thereto.

[0015] This type of kick scooter comes in four-wheel types with two front wheels and two rear wheels, three-wheel types with two front wheels and one rear wheel, one front wheel and two rear wheels, and two-wheel types with one front wheel and one rear wheel, but the following explanation will use the two-wheel type as an example. However, it goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to this two-wheel type, but can also be applied to four-wheel and three-wheel types.

[0016] The deck 100 constituting the kick scooter 1000 is the part on which the user stands and is a roughly rectangular member having length and width dimensions sufficient for the user to place both feet together. The deck 100 has a front deck 110, a rear deck 120, and a spring plate 130 connecting the front deck 110 and the rear deck 120.

[0017] The front deck 110 and the rear deck 120 that make up the deck 100 are divided at a ratio that allows a user to place one foot on the front deck 110 and the other foot on the rear deck 120.

[0018] A rear wheel 200 is rotatably supported on the rear side of the rear deck 120. The rearmost end of the rear deck 120 is formed as a bifurcated rear wheel support portion 121. The rear wheel 200 is rotatably supported on the rear wheel support portion 121. Moreover, the rear wheel 200 is rotated by an electric motor (not shown).

[0019] On the other hand, a frame 300 facing diagonally forward is connected to the front side of the front deck 110. This frame 300 rotatably supports a main frame bar 400 that operates a front wheel 500.

[0020] The above-mentioned front deck 110 and rear deck 120 are connected by a spring plate 130, as shown in Fig. 2. Specifically, the spring plate 130 is fastened to the rear surface of the front deck 110 and the rear deck 120 by fastening parts such as screws (not shown). The spring plate 130 is set so that it will bend when a weight equal to or greater than a predetermined value is applied, but will not bend when a weight less than the predetermined value is applied. Moreover, the spring plate 130 is provided with a brake shoe 140 that comes into contact with the ground G when a weight equal to or greater than a predetermined value is applied thereto and the brake shoe 140 bends. That is, when a weight greater than a predetermined value is applied to the deck 100, the spring plate 130 bends and the brake shoe 140 comes into contact with the ground, so that the kick scooter 1000 cannot move.

[0021] The weight above which the spring plate 130 bends can be set arbitrarily, but it is usually desirable to set it to about 100 kg so that the scooter 1000 according to the present invention can be ridden safely. However, it goes without saying that the maximum weight that the scooter 1000 can hop on is not limited to 100 kg.

[0022] The deck 100 is provided with a foldable stand (not shown) for supporting the kick scooter 1000 when parked.

[0023] Further, at the upper end of the main frame bar 400, a rod-shaped handle bar 600 is provided which extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the main frame bar 400. A brake lever, an accelerator lever, side mirrors, a speedometer, a battery indicator that shows the remaining battery power, and the like (not shown) are attached to the handlebar 600. In addition, a warning sound device, direction indicators, and their operating switches are also attached to the handlebar 600 in order to satisfy safety standards. It is preferable that the main frame bar 400 is extendable and contractible to accommodate the user's physique.

[0024] A front wheel 500 is rotatably supported at the lower end of the main frame bar 400. Brake shoes (not shown) for applying braking during traveling are set on the front wheel 500 and the rear wheel 200. The brake shoes are operated by a brake lever set on the handle bar 600.

[0025] The kick scooter 1000 configured in this manner is used by a user standing on the deck 100 and holding the handlebars 600 with both hands. The accelerator lever is used to drive the electric motor and the vehicle moves, the brake lever is used to stop the vehicle, and the handlebars are moved left and right to determine the direction of travel.

[0026] If the total weight of the user's body weight, the clothes he or she is wearing, and any baggage he or she is carrying exceeds a certain level, the spring plate 130 will bend as shown in FIG. 3, and the brake shoe 140 attached to the spring plate 130 will come into contact with the ground G, making it impossible for the user to travel.

[0027] In the first embodiment described above, the brake shoes 140 are provided on the spring plate 130, but the brake shoes 140 may be provided on at least one of the front deck 110 and the rear deck 120 that constitute the deck 100. Of course, the brake shoes 140 may be provided on all of the front deck 110, the rear deck 120, and the spring plate 130. In any case, it is sufficient that the brake shoes 140 come into contact with the ground G when the spring plate 130 bends, preventing the kick scooter 1000 from moving.

[0028] In the kick scooter 1000 according to the first embodiment described above, the front deck 110 and rear deck 120 constituting the deck 100 are connected by a spring plate 130, and when a weight greater than a predetermined value is applied to the deck 100, the spring plate 130 bends and the brake shoe 140 comes into contact with the ground G, making it impossible to move. However, a kick scooter 2000 according to the second embodiment can also be considered.

[0029] A kick scooter 2000 according to a second embodiment of the present invention is a kick scooter comprising a deck 100 on which a user rides, a rear wheel 200 rotatably supported on the rear side of the deck 100, a main frame bar 400 connected to the deck 100 by a frame 300, a front wheel 500 rotatably supported on the lower end of the main frame bar 400, a rod-shaped handle bar 600 extending from the upper end of the main frame bar 400 in a direction approximately perpendicular to the main frame bar 400, and a cover 700 provided on the upper side of the rear wheel 200. The rear wheel 200 is rotatably supported by a spring plate 800 connected to the rear end of the deck 100, and the spring plate 800 is configured to deform when a weight greater than a predetermined value is applied thereto, so that the rear wheel 200 comes into contact with a brake shoe 720 provided inside the cover 700.

[0030] In FIG. 1, the rear wheel 200 is shown exposed, but it is also possible to provide a mud cover that covers the rear wheel 200.

[0031] In the following explanation, the parts equivalent to those of the kick scooter 1000 of the first embodiment, i.e., the rear wheel 200, frame 300, main frame bar 400, front wheel 500, and handle bar 600, will be omitted, and parts that are different from the kick scooter 1000 of the first embodiment will be explained with reference to Figure 4.

[0032] In the kick scooter 2000 according to the second embodiment, the deck 100 is a single piece and will not bend midway. Further, the rear wheel 200 is rotatably supported by a spring plate 800 which is separate from the deck 100 .

[0033] Furthermore, a cover 700 is provided above the rear wheel 200 so as to cover the rear wheel 200. That is, this cover 700 is attached to the upper surface side of the rear end of the deck 100, and a curved portion 710 corresponding to the size of the rear wheel 200 is positioned above the rear wheel 200. A brake shoe 720 is provided on the inside of the cover 700.

[0034] A spring plate 800 in a kick scooter 2000 according to the second embodiment is formed with a bifurcated rear wheel support portion 810, and the rear wheel 200 is rotatably supported by this rear wheel support portion 810. This spring plate 800 is attached to the underside of the deck 100 so that the rear wheel support portion 810 protrudes from the rear end of the deck 100. Therefore, the rear wheel 200 supported by this spring plate 800 does not interfere with the deck 100.

[0035] The spring plate 800 is set so that when a weight equal to or greater than a predetermined value is applied, the spring plate 800 deforms and the rear wheel 200 comes into contact with a brake shoe 720 provided inside the cover 700 . Therefore, if the total weight of the user's body weight, the clothes he or she is wearing, and any baggage he or she is carrying exceeds a certain level, the spring plate 800 bends upward, causing the rear wheel 200 to come into contact with the brake shoe 720 provided on the cover 700, making it impossible to move.

[0036] In addition, the kick scooter 2000 according to the second embodiment has the advantage that the deck 100 is made of a single board, making the structure simpler. Also, the cover 700 can be used as a mud cover. Of course, it is also possible to provide a mud cover on the upper side of the cover 700.

[0037] In the kick scooter 2000 according to the second embodiment of the present invention described above, a spring plate 800 separate from the deck 100 is provided at the rear end of the deck 100, but it is also possible to form the rear end of the deck 100 in a bifurcated shape so as to have the same function as the spring plate 800.

[0038] Furthermore, although both of the kick scooters 1000 and 2000 described above are driven by an electric motor, they can also be configured to be driven by an internal combustion engine that uses gasoline or other fuel. Needless to say, the present invention can also be applied to a kick scooter that is propelled by the user kicking the ground with one foot, without using an electric motor or internal combustion engine.
