[0022] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings accompanying this specification, the scale and aspect ratios have been appropriately changed and exaggerated from those of the actual objects for the convenience of illustration and understanding.
[0023] In this specification, terms that specify shapes or geometric conditions and their degrees, such as "parallel," "orthogonal," and "same," as well as values of lengths and angles, are not limited to their strict meanings, but are interpreted to include a range within which similar functions can be expected.
[0024] 1 to 5 are diagrams for explaining one embodiment. Fig. 1 is a side view of a removed sheet manufacturing system 1. The removed sheet manufacturing system 1 processes a sheet 10. As shown in Figs.
[0025] The sheet 10 may have a longitudinal direction DL. In the removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the sheet 10 may be conveyed in a first direction S1 in the longitudinal direction DL. In the removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the sheet 10 may be conveyed in a second direction S2 in the longitudinal direction DL, the second direction S2 being opposite to the first direction S1.
[0026] The sheet 10 may be long. In the examples shown in Figs. 1 to 5, the sheet 10 is long. The sheet 10 being "long" means that the sheet 10 has a length of 5 m or more in the longitudinal direction DL. The long sheet 10 may have a length of 10 m or more in the longitudinal direction DL. The long sheet 10 may have a length of 100 m or more in the longitudinal direction DL. The sheet 10 may have a width direction DW in a direction non-parallel to the longitudinal direction DL, as shown in Fig. 2. The width direction DW may be a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction DL.
[0027] 2, the sheet 10 includes a first end 11 in a longitudinal direction DL and a second end 12 opposite the first end 11. The sheet 10 extends between the first end 11 and the second end 12. The first end 11 and the second end 12 each extend in a width direction DW.
[0028] In the example shown in Figures 1 and 2, a long sheet 10 is wound around a cylindrical core 20. The sheet 10 wound around the core 20 is a roll-shaped winding 10R. The sheet 10 shown in Figure 2 is wound around the core 20 about an axis extending in an axial direction DA that is non-parallel to the longitudinal direction DL. The central axis of the winding 10R extends in the axial direction DA. In the example shown, the axial direction DA is a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction DL. The axial direction DA is a direction parallel to the width direction DW of the sheet 10.
[0029] In the example shown in FIG. 2, the sheet 10 is wound around the core 20 from the first end 11. In the state where the sheet 10 is wound around the core 20 from the first end 11, the first end 11 is located inside in a radial direction perpendicular to the central axis of the roll 10R, compared to the second end 12. When one end of the sheet 10 is "located inside in a radial direction" from the other end, it means that the one end is located closer to the central axis of the roll 10R in the radial direction, compared to the other end. As shown by the arrow in the figure bent around the axial direction DA, the sheet 10 is wound clockwise between the first end 11 and the second end 12 when observed from the tip side of the arrow indicating the axial direction DA. Such a sheet 10 can be unfolded by pulling it from the second end 12.
[0030] 2, sheet 10 is attached to core 20 at first end 11. With first end 11 attached to core 20, sheet 10 may be wound around rotating core 20. Sheet 10 may be attached to core 20 by various attaching members such as cellophane tape or glue.
[0031] 2, the sheet 10 may be wound around the core 20 from the second end 12. In the state where the sheet 10 is wound around the core 20 from the second end 12, the second end 12 may be located radially inward of the first end 11 of the roll 10R. Such a sheet 10 can be unfolded by pulling it from the first end 11.
[0032] The sheet 10 may have a variety of functions. As an example, the sheet 10 may be a packaging film that encases a container. The packaging film may have a function of indicating the contents of the container. The packaging film may have a function of indicating that the container is unopened. The packaging film may have a function of preventing unintentional opening of the container. The container that is wrapped by the packaging film may be one or more of a food container, a beverage container, a pharmaceutical container, and a cosmetic container.
[0033] The sheet 10 may display a design. The design displayed by the sheet 10 may indicate the contents of a container that the sheet 10 encases. The design displayed by the sheet 10 may include one or more of the following designs: figures, patterns, designs, colors, pictures, photographs, characters, marks, pictograms, letters, numbers, and the like. The sheet 10 shown in Figs. 3 to 5 includes a plurality of design elements extending in the width direction DW of the sheet 10. The first core 21 and the second core 22 may have different shapes from each other. As shown in FIG. 1, the second winding section 41 may wind the sheet 10 wound around the first core 21 around the second core 22.
[0041] In the detection device 30 shown in FIG. 1, the sheet 10 is wound around the first core 21 at a first winding position WP1. The sheet 10 wound around the first core 21 is transported in a first direction S1 in the longitudinal direction DL. The sheet 10 is wound around the first core 21 starting from the first end 11. The first end 11 is the leading end of the winding of the sheet 10 in the detection device 30. In the illustrated detection device 30, the winding of the sheet 10 is completed when the second end 12 is wound around the first core 21.
[0042] In the removal device 40 shown in FIG. 1, the sheet 10 is wound around the second core 22 at the second winding position WP2. The sheet 10 wound around the second core 22 is transported in a second direction S2 in the longitudinal direction DL. The second direction S2 is opposite to the first direction S1. In the removal device 40 shown in the figure, the sheet 10 is wound around the second core 22 from the second end 12. The second end 12 is the leading end of the winding of the sheet 10 in the removal device 40. In the removal device 40 shown in the figure, the winding of the sheet 10 is completed by winding the first end 11 around the second core 22.
[0043] It should be noted that "the sheet 10 wound around the first core 21" refers to the sheet 10 having at least a portion wound around the first core 21. "The sheet 10 wound around the second core 22" refers to the sheet 10 having at least a portion wound around the second core 22.
[0044] 1, the sheet 10 includes a portion that is transported in a linear transport direction DT in the detection device 30 and the removal device 40. The sheet 10 transported to the first core 21 and the sheet 10 transported to the second core 22 include an unfolded portion, i.e., a portion that extends in a plane in the longitudinal direction DL and the width direction DW. In the unfolded portion, the longitudinal direction DL of the sheet 10 is parallel to the transport direction DT.
[0045] In the removal device 40, the winding of the sheet 10 around the second core 22 may be stopped. In a state in which the winding around the second core 22 is stopped, the sheet 10 being wound around the second core 22 may include a portion that spreads in a plane along the conveying direction DT. In a state in which the winding around the second core 22 is stopped, the defective region 15 may be removed by the removal unit 45.
[0046] In the example shown in FIG. 1, the first winding unit 31 is a motor that rotates the first core 21. The sheet 10 is wound around the first core 21 that rotates by the first winding unit 31. The sheet 10 is wound around the first core 21 around an axis extending in the axial direction DA. In the illustrated example, the first winding unit 31 is electrically connected to the control device 50. The detection device 30 is electrically connected to the control device 50 at the first winding unit 31. The first winding unit 31 may rotate the first core 21 based on an electrical signal transmitted from the control device 50. The first winding unit 31 may stop the rotation of the first core 21 based on an electrical signal transmitted from the control device 50.
[0047] In the example shown in FIG. 1, the first detection unit 61 faces a planar portion of the sheet 10. The sheet 10 faces the first detection unit 61 at a first detection position DP1. The first detection unit 61 detects a defective area 15 of the sheet 10. The first detection unit 61 detects a defective area 15 of the sheet 10 conveyed in the longitudinal direction DL from the first end 11 to the second end 12. The first detection unit 61 may be a camera, for example.
[0048] 1, the first detector 61 is electrically connected to the control device 50. The first position information PI1 may be transmitted to the control device 50 through the electrical connection between the first detector 61 and the control device 50.
[0049] In the illustrated example, the first detection unit 61 judges the presence or absence of a defective element 150 on the sheet 10. The area judged by the first detection unit 61 to have a defective element is detected as a first detection area 161. The judgment result of the defective element 150 by the first detection unit 61 may be transmitted to the control device 50. An electric signal indicating the judgment result of the first detection unit 61 that "there is no defective element" may be transmitted to the control device 50. An electric signal indicating the judgment result of the first detection unit 61 that "there is a defective element" may be transmitted to the control device 50. The control device 50 may judge the change of the judgment result from "there is no defective element" to "there is a defective element" as the start of the first detection area 161. The control device 50 may judge the change of the judgment result from "there is a defective element" to "there is no defective element" as the end of the first detection area 161. The above description regarding the detection of the first detection area 161 by the first detection unit 61 also applies to the detection of the second detection area 162 by the second detection unit 62.
[0050] The detection device 30 may include a processing unit 35 that processes the sheet 10, as shown in FIG. 1. The processing unit 35 is located upstream of the first detection unit 61 in the conveying direction DT. That is, the sheet 10 wound around the first core 21 passes through the processing unit 35 before the first detection unit 61. The processing unit 35 may form the sheet 10 by various methods such as an inflation method or a T-die casting method. The processing unit 35 may bond two or more sheets together. The processing unit 35 may print a pattern on the sheet 10, as shown in FIG. 1. The processing unit 35 may be a printing machine, as shown in FIG. 1. The processing unit 35 may be a letterpress printing machine.
[0051] 1, the processing unit 35 includes an ink roll 36, a plate 37, and an impression cylinder 38. The plate 37 has a plate surface 37a to which the ink on the surface of the ink roll 36 adheres. When the sheet 10 passes between the plate 37 and the impression cylinder 38, the ink adhering to the plate surface 37a is transferred to the sheet 10, thereby printing the ink on the sheet 10. Without being limited to the above example, the processing unit 35 may print on the sheet 10 by various methods such as gravure printing and offset printing.
[0052] In the example shown in FIG. 1, the second winding unit 41 is a motor that rotates the second core 22. The sheet 10 is wound around the second core 22 that rotates by the second winding unit 41. The sheet 10 is wound around the second core 22 around an axis extending in the axial direction DA. In the illustrated example, the first detection unit 61 is electrically connected to the control device 50. The removal device 40 is electrically connected to the control device 50 at the second winding unit 41. The second winding unit 41 may rotate the second core 22 based on an electrical signal transmitted from the control device 50. The second winding unit 41 may stop the rotation of the second core 22 based on an electrical signal transmitted from the control device 50.
[0053] In the example shown in FIG. 1, the second detection unit 62 faces a planar portion of the sheet 10. The sheet 10 faces the second detection unit 62 at a second detection position DP2. The second detection unit 62 is located upstream of the removal unit 45 in the conveying direction. That is, the sheet 10 wound around the second core 22 passes through the second detection unit 62 before being removed by the removal unit 45. The second detection unit 62 may detect a defective area 15 of the sheet 10 conveyed in the longitudinal direction DL from the second end 12 to the first end 11. The second detection unit 62 may be a camera, for example.
[0054] 1, the second detection unit 62 is electrically connected to the control device 50. The second position information PI2 may be transmitted to the control device 50 by the electrical connection between the second detection unit 62 and the control device 50.
[0055] 1, the removal unit 45 is a position of the removal device 40 facing a portion of the sheet 10 extending in the conveying direction DT. When the second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10, the portion of the sheet 10 facing the removal unit 45 may be cut off.
[0056] In the example shown in FIG. 1, the removing unit 45 is provided with a removing means 46. The removing means 46 can contact the sheet 10 in a portion that extends in a plane in the longitudinal direction DL. The removing means 46 that has contacted the sheet 10 may move in the width direction DW of the sheet 10 relative to the sheet 10, thereby cutting the first detection area 161 and the second detection area 162 of the sheet 10. The removing means 46 may be any of various blades that can cut the sheet 10. As an example, the removing means 46 may be a cutter knife.
[0057] In the removing device 40, the sheet 10 may be cut in a removing section 45. The cut sheet 10 may be divided into two in the longitudinal direction DL. The two sheets 10 divided in the longitudinal direction DL may be bonded to each other in the removing device 40.
[0058] In the example shown in FIG. 1 , the control device 50 controls the operation of the first winding unit 31 to wind the sheet 10 around the first core 21. The control device 50 controls the operation of the second winding unit 41 to wind the sheet 10 around the second core 22. The first winding unit 31 winds the sheet 10 based on an electrical signal transmitted from the control device 50. The first winding unit 31 stops winding the sheet 10 based on an electrical signal transmitted from the control device 50. The second winding unit 41 winds the sheet 10 based on an electrical signal transmitted from the control device 50. The second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10 based on an electrical signal transmitted from the control device 50.
[0059] The control device 50 may include a processor such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit) and an MPU (Micro Processing Unit). The control device 50 may include a memory such as a ROM (Read Only Memory) and a RAM (Random Access Memory). The control device 50 may be a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). The control device 50 may control the winding operation of the first winding unit 31 and the winding operation of the second winding unit 41 by executing a program stored in the memory.
[0060] The control device 50 may include a display device. The display device may display the positions of the first detection area 161 and the second detection area 162 on the seat 10.
[0061] A description will be given of the operation of the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1. Specifically, a description will be given of a manufacturing method of the removed sheet 70 by the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1.
[0062] In the detection device 30, the sheet 10 is wound around the first core 21. In the detection device 30, the sheet 10 is transported in a first direction S1 in the longitudinal direction DL. In the detection device 30, a first detection unit 61 detects a defective area 15 of the sheet 10 being wound around the first core 21. An area determined by the first detection unit 61 to contain a defective element is detected as a first detection area 161.
[0063] The control device 50 acquires first position information PI1 relating to the position of the first detection area 161 from the first detection unit 61. The first position information PI1 is transmitted from the first detection unit 61 to the control device 50 as a detection result of the defective area 15 by the first detection unit 61. In the example shown in Fig. 3, two defective areas 15 separated from each other in the longitudinal direction DL of the sheet 10 are detected as two first detection areas 161.
[0064] The first position information PI1 may include information about the position of the first detection area 161 on the sheet 10 transported in the first direction S1. In the example shown in Fig. 3, the control device 50 acquires distances L11 and L13 between the first end 11 and the start position of the first detection area 161. The control device 50 acquires distances L12 and L14 between the first end 11 and the end position of the first detection area 161.
[0065] The first position information PI1 may include information regarding the position of the detection area 16 in the sheet 10 transported in the second direction S2. In other words, the control device 50 may acquire the first position information PI1 in the case where the sheet 10 is transported in a direction opposite to the direction in which the sheet 10 is transported in the detection process. In the example shown in FIG. 3, the control device 50 acquires the distances L22 and L24 between the second end 12 and the start position of the first detection area 161. The distances L22 and L24 may be calculated by subtracting the distances L12 and L14 from the entire length of the sheet 10. The control device 50 acquires the distances L21 and L23 between the second end 12 and the end position of the first detection area 161. The distances L21 and L23 may be calculated by subtracting the distances L11 and L13 from the entire length of the sheet 10.
[0066] The length of the sheet 10 wound around the first core 21 by the first winding unit 31 may be transmitted to the control device 50. The control device 50 may calculate the length of the sheet 10 wound around the first core 21 based on the length of the sheet 10 wound around the first core 21.
[0067] In the detection step, the sheet 10 may be processed as shown in Fig. 1. In the illustrated example, the sheet 10 is processed by a processing unit 35. Specifically, a printing machine is used to print ink on the sheet 10. The ink may be printed on one side of the sheet 10. The first detection unit 61 may detect a defective area 15 that occurs when the sheet 10 is processed by the processing unit 35.
[0068] In the illustrated detection device 30, the second end 12 of the sheet 10 is wound around the first core 21, thereby completing the winding of the sheet 10 around the first core 21. The control device 50 may calculate the overall length of the sheet 10 based on the wound length around the first core 21 when winding is completed. In the illustrated example, the overall length of the sheet 10 is the distance between the first end 11 and the second end 12 in the longitudinal direction DL.
[0069] Next, the sheet 10 is brought into the removing device 40. In the illustrated example, the sheet 10 is brought into the removing device 40 in a state where it is wound around the first core 21. In the removing device 40, a removing process is carried out. As the removing process, the first detection area 161 and the second detection area 162 are removed. In the removing device 40, the second winding section 41 winds the sheet 10 wound around the first core 21 around the second core 22. In the removed sheet manufacturing system 1 shown in FIG. 1, the sheet 10 wound around the second core 22 is transported in a second direction S2 in the longitudinal direction DL.
[0070] The control device 50 may store in advance orientation information OI relating to the direction in which the sheet 10 is transported. The orientation information OI may be stored in a memory of the control device 50. In the illustrated example, the control device 50 may store in advance in a memory that the sheet 10 is transported in the second orientation S2 in the removal device 40. That is, the control device 50 may store in advance as orientation information OI that the sheet 10 to be wound around the second core 22 is transported in the opposite direction to the sheet 10 to be wound around the first core 21.
[0071] In the removal device 40, the second detection section 62 may detect the defective area 15. An area determined by the second detection section 62 to contain a defective element may be detected as the second detection area 162. The detection result of the defective area 15 by the second detection section 62 may be transmitted from the second detection section 62 to the control device 50 as second position information PI2. The control device 50 may acquire the second position information PI2 from the second detection section 62.
[0072] The second position information PI2 may include information regarding the position of the second detection area 162 in the sheet 10 transported in the second direction S2. In the example shown in FIG. 3, one defective area 15 is detected as the second detection area 162. The control device 50 acquires a distance L25 between the second end 12 and a start position of the second detection area 162. The control device 50 acquires a distance L26 between the second end 12 and an end position of the second detection area 162. Unlike the illustrated example, the second position information PI2 may include information regarding the position of the second detection area 162 in the sheet 10 transported in the first direction S1.
[0073] The control device 50 may set a virtual removal area 51 based on the first position information PI1 and the second position information PI2. The virtual removal area 51 is an area of the sheet 10 that is expected to be removed. The virtual removal area 51 extends in the longitudinal direction DL and the width direction DW of the sheet 10. In the example shown in Fig. 3, a first virtual removal area 51A and a second virtual removal area 51B adjacent to the first virtual removal area 51A in the longitudinal direction DL are set.
[0074] 3, the first virtual removal area 51A is set based on the first position information PI1. In the case of the sheet 10 transported in the first direction S1, the first virtual removal area 51A is located between a position that is a distance L11 away from the first end 11 and a position that is a distance L14 away from the first end 11. In the case of the sheet 10 transported in the second direction S2, the first virtual removal area 51A is located between a position that is a distance L24 away from the second end 12 and a position that is a distance L21 away from the second end 12.
[0075] 3, the first virtual removal area 51A includes two first detection areas 161 adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction DL, and an intermediate portion 165 of the sheet 10 located between the two first detection areas 161. The intermediate portion 165 may be removed by the removal unit 45 together with the first detection areas 161.
[0076] Unlike the illustrated example, the control device 50 may set two detection regions 16 as virtual removal regions 51. The control device 50 may set a first virtual removal region 51A between a position that is a distance L11 away from the first end 11 and a position that is a distance L12 away from the first end 11. The control device 50 may set a second virtual removal region 51B between a position that is a distance L13 away from the first end 11 and a position that is a distance L14 away from the first end 11.
[0077] 3, the second virtual removal region 51B is set based on the second position information PI2. The second virtual removal region 51B is located between a position that is a distance L25 away from the second end 12 and a position that is a distance L26 away from the second end 12. The second virtual removal region 51B extends in the longitudinal direction DL and the width direction DW of the sheet 10.
[0078] The control device 50 may acquire information about the virtual lamination area 52 based on the first position information PI1 and the second position information PI2. The virtual lamination area 52 is an area where the sheets 10 divided by cutting the sheet 10 should be laminated together. That is, the virtual lamination area 52 is an area where the sheet 10 can be shortened in the longitudinal direction DL by laminating the sheets 10 together. In the example shown in FIG. 4, the virtual lamination area 52 is adjacent to the first virtual removal area 51A in the longitudinal direction DL.
[0079] The control device 50 calculates the position of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first, based on the first position information PI1 and the second position information PI2. The second winding unit 41 winds the sheet 10 around the second core 22, based on the position of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first.
[0080] The control device 50 calculates an initial stop position of the sheet 10 conveyed in the conveying direction DT based on the first position information PI1 and the second position information PI2. The control device 50 may calculate the initial stop position such that the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first is located in the removal section 45. In the example shown in Fig. 3, the initial stop position may be calculated such that at least a portion of the portion of the sheet 10 corresponding to the first virtual removal region 51A is located in the excision section 45.
[0081] The control device 50 may calculate an initial stop position of the sheet 10 such that the sheet 10 stops before the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first reaches the removal unit 45. In the example shown in Fig. 3, the initial stop position may be calculated such that the sheet 10 stops before a position a distance L24 away from the second end 12 reaches the removal unit 45.
[0082] The second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10 onto the second core 22 based on the calculated initial stop position. The sheet 10 may be stopped at a position where the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first can be removed by the removal means 46. When the second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10, at least a portion of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first may be located in the removal unit 45.
[0083] When the second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10, the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first may not have yet reached the removal unit 45. By further winding the sheet 10 from the initial stop position, the sheet 10 may be moved to a position where the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first can be removed by the removal means 46.
[0084] In the removal unit 45, the sheet 10 is cut along the cutting lines A-A and B-B. By cutting the sheet 10 in this manner, a portion of the sheet 10 corresponding to the first virtual removal region 51A is removed, as shown in FIG. 4. By cutting the sheet 10 in this manner, two first detection regions 161 adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction DL and an intermediate portion 165 located between the two first detection regions 161 are removed. When the portion of the sheet 10 corresponding to the first virtual removal region 51A is removed, the control device 50 may acquire the length of the first virtual removal region 51A in the longitudinal direction DL as length information LI relating to the length of the removed sheet 10.
[0085] In the example shown in Fig. 4, the sheet 10 is cut to divide it into a first sheet portion 10A having a first end 11 and a second sheet portion 10B having a second end 12. The two divided sheet portions 10A, 10B are attached to each other as shown in Fig. 5. In the two sheet portions 10A, 10B that are attached to each other, a portion of the first sheet portion 10A and a portion of the second sheet portion 10B may overlap. The sheet 10 may be shortened by the length of the portion where the first sheet portion 10A and the second sheet portion 10B overlap each other.
[0086] The control device 50 calculates the position of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next on the sheet 10 from which the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first has been removed. The control device 50 calculates the position of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next based on length information LI related to the length of the removed sheet 10, first position information PI1, and second position information PI2.
[0087] In the example shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next is the second detection region 162 detected by the second detection unit 62. The position of the detection region 16 to be removed next is the distances L27, L28 from the second end 12 of the second detection region 162 in the sheet 10 shown in Fig. 5. The length information LI is the combined length of the virtual removal region 51 (first virtual removal region 51A) corresponding to the removed portion of the sheet 10 and the length of the virtual bonding region 52. The position information PI is the distances L25, L26 from the second end 12 of the second detection region 162 in the sheet 10 shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4.
[0088] The control device 50 calculates a distance L27 between the start position of the second detection area 162 to be removed next and the second end 12 by subtracting the length of the first virtual removal area 51A and the length of the virtual bonding area 52 from the distance L25. The control device 50 calculates a distance L28 between the end position of the second detection area 162 and the second end 12 by subtracting the length of the virtual removal area 51 and the length of the virtual bonding area 52 from the distance L26.
[0089] The second winding section 41 winds the sheet 10 around the second core 22 based on the position of the first detection area 161 or the second detection area 162 to be removed next, which is calculated as described above.
[0090] The control device 50 calculates the next stop position of the sheet 10 conveyed in the conveying direction DT based on the position of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next. The control device 50 may calculate the next stop position such that the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next is located in the removal section 45. In the example shown in FIG. 5, the next stop position may be calculated such that at least a portion of the portion of the sheet 10 corresponding to the second virtual removal region 51B is located in the removal section 45.
[0091] The control device 50 may calculate the next stop position of the sheet 10 so that the sheet 10 stops before the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next reaches the removal unit 45. In the example shown in FIG. 5, the next stop position may be calculated so that the sheet 10 stops before a position a distance L27 away from the second end 12 reaches the removal unit 45.
[0092] The second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10 onto the second core 22 based on the calculated next stop position. The sheet 10 may be stopped at a position where the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next can be removed by the removing means 46. When the second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10, at least a portion of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next may be located in the removing unit 45.
[0093] When the second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10, the first detection area 161 or the second detection area 162 to be removed next may not have yet reached the removal unit 45. By further winding the sheet 10 from the next stop position, the sheet 10 may be moved to a position where the first detection area 161 or the second detection area 162 to be removed next can be removed by the removal means 46.
[0094] In the sheet 10 for which the winding around the second core 22 has been stopped, the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next is removed by the above-mentioned method.
[0095] In the removal process, as described above, calculation of the position of the next first detection region 161 or second detection region 162 to be removed, winding of the second core 22, and removal of the first detection region 161 or first detection region 161 are repeated. The removal process is completed when all of the first detection regions 161 and second detection regions 162 have been removed. When the removal process is completed, a removed sheet 70 is produced from the sheet 10. The first end portion 11 is wound around the second core 22, and the removed sheet 70 wound around the second core 22 is obtained.
[0096] In a conventional removed sheet manufacturing system, a detection device detects a defective area while winding the sheet onto a core. A removal device stops winding the sheet onto another core at a position where the defective area can be removed based on position information regarding the position of the detected defective area. The position information is stored in a stop device by manual operation such as keyboard input.
[0097] When a sheet includes multiple defective areas, the multiple defective areas are removed in order in the sheet being wound. When a defective area is removed from the sheet, the positions of the other defective areas remaining on the sheet change. Specifically, the distance between the other defective areas remaining on the sheet and the end of the sheet that will be the leading edge of the winding decreases. In this state, the position of the defective area to be removed next is closer to the end of the sheet that will be the leading edge of the winding than the position at the time of detection of the defective area. However, the removal device stops winding the sheet based on position information acquired when the defective area has not been removed. This may cause a problem that the defective area to be removed next passes through the intended position and stops. The need to rewind the sheet or search for the next defective area to be removed may reduce the efficiency of removing the defective areas.
[0098] In contrast, the removed sheet manufacturing system 1 shown in FIG. 1 includes a detection device 30 having a first winding section 31 that winds the sheet 10 around a first core 21, a detection section 60 (first detection section 61) that detects a defective area 15 of the sheet 10, a second winding section 41 that winds the sheet 10 around a second core 22, a removal device 40 having a removal section 45 that removes the detection area 16 detected by the detection section 60, and a control device 50 electrically connected to the detection device 30 and the removal device 40. The control device 50 acquires position information PI regarding the position of the detection area 16. When the removal section 45 removes the detection area 16, the control device 50 calculates the position of the detection area 16 to be removed next based on the length information LI regarding the length of the removed sheet 10 and the position information PI. The second winding section 41 winds the sheet 10 around the second core 22 based on the position of the detection area 16 to be removed next.
[0099] Furthermore, the manufacturing method of the removed sheet 70 by the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1 includes a detection step of detecting defective areas 15 of the sheet 10 taken up around the first core 21, and a removal step of removing the detection area 16 detected in the detection step from the sheet 10 taken up around the second core 22. In the removal step, the sheet 10 is taken up around the second core 22 based on the position of the detection area 16 to be removed next, which is calculated based on length information LI related to the length of the removed sheet 10 and position information PI related to the position of the detection area 16.
[0100] According to the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the position information PI is transferred from the detection device 30 to the removal device 40 via the control device 50 electrically connected to the detection device 30 and the removal device 40. This makes it possible to omit a manual operation for inputting the position information PI.
[0101] Moreover, according to the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the control device 50 corrects the position of the defective area 15 to be removed next based on the length information LI. In the example shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, the distance between the second end 12 and the start position of the second detection area 162 is reduced from the distance L25 to the distance L27. Also, the distance between the second end 12 and the end position of the second detection area 162 is reduced from the distance L26 to the distance L28. The second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10 based on the position of 15 corrected by the control device 50. According to the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the defective area 15 to be removed next can be stopped at a position where it can be cut off by the removing unit 45 without manually calculating it.
[0102] As a result, the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1 can efficiently remove the defective regions 15. That is, the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1 can efficiently produce the removed sheet 70.
[0103] In the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the sheet 10 wound around the first core 21 is transported in a first direction S1 in the longitudinal direction DL. The sheet 10 wound around the second core 22 is transported in a second direction S2 in the longitudinal direction DL. When the removal unit 45 removes the first detection region 161, the control device 50 calculates the position of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next based on the length information LI, the first position information PI1, the second position information PI2, and the orientation information OI. In the excision process, the sheet 10 is wound around the second core 22 based on the position of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next. According to the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, it is possible to avoid manually correcting the first position information PI1 and the second position information PI2 according to the direction in which the sheet 10 is transported. This allows the removed sheet manufacturing system 1 to remove the defective region 15 more efficiently.
[0104] In the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the removal unit 45 removes two first detection regions 161 adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction DL of the sheet 10 and an intermediate portion 165 located between these first detection regions 161. According to the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the removal unit 45 removes a plurality of first detection regions 161 at once, thereby shortening the removal process. In addition, the control device 50 calculates the position of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next based on the length of the first virtual removal region 51A including the two first detection regions 161 and the intermediate portion 165 as the length information LI. As a result, even if a portion of the sheet 10 other than the defective region 15 is removed, the second winding unit 41 can stop the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next at the intended position. Therefore, the removed sheet manufacturing system 1 can remove the defective region 15 more efficiently.
[0105] In the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the removing device 40 has a second detection unit 62 that detects the defective area 15. The removing unit 45 removes the second detection area 162. The control device 50 acquires second position information PI2 regarding the position of the second detection area 162. When the removing unit 45 removes the first detection area 161 or the second detection area 162, the control device 50 calculates the position of the first detection area 161 or the second detection area 162 to be removed next based on the length information LI, the first position information PI1, and the second position information PI2. The second winding unit 41 winds the sheet 10 around the second core 22 based on the position of the first detection area 161 or the second detection area 162 to be removed next. According to the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the defective area 15 can be detected more reliably by the multiple detection units 61 and 62. Furthermore, even if a defective region 15 is detected in the cutting step, it is possible to avoid manually correcting the position of the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next.
[0106] In the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the control device 50 calculates a first stop position of the sheet 10 based on the first position information PI1 and the second position information PI2 so that the sheet 10 stops before the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed first reaches the removal unit 45. The control device 50 calculates a next stop position of the sheet 10 based on the length information LI, the first position information PI1, and the second position information PI2 so that the sheet 10 stops before the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed next reaches the removal unit 45. The second winding unit 41 stops winding the sheet 10 around the second core 22 based on the first stop position or the next stop position.
[0107] According to the illustrated removed sheet manufacturing system 1, it is possible to prevent the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 to be removed from being unintentionally wound up on the second core 22. This makes it possible to avoid rewinding the sheet 10 in order to pull out the first detection region 161 or the second detection region 162 wound up on the second core 22 again. In addition, it is possible to prevent the sheet 10 attached to the core 20 from being pulled between the first core 21 and the second core 22, which causes defects 150 such as wrinkles WR to occur in the sheet 10.
[0108] In the embodiment described above, the removed sheet manufacturing system 1 includes a detection device 30 having a first winding section 31 that winds the sheet 10 around a first core 21, a detection section 60 that detects a defective area 15 of the sheet 10, a second winding section 41 that winds the sheet 10 around a second core 22, a removal device 40 having a removal section 45 that removes the detection area 16 detected by the detection section 60, and a control device 50 electrically connected to the detection device 30 and the removal device 40.
[0109] In the embodiment described above, the manufacturing method of the removed sheet 70 includes a detection step of detecting defective areas 15 in the sheet 10 taken up around the first core 21, and a removal step of removing the detection area 16 detected in the detection step from the sheet 10 taken up around the second core 22. In the removal step, the sheet 10 is taken up around the second core 22 based on the position of the detection area 16 to be removed next, which is calculated based on length information LI related to the length of the removed sheet 10 and position information PI related to the position of the detection area 16.
[0110] According to this embodiment, the position information PI is transferred from the detection device 30 to the removal device 40 via the control device 50, so that the manual operation of inputting the position information PI can be omitted. Furthermore, the control device 50 calculates the position of the defective region 15 to be removed next, so that the sheet 10 can be stopped at an intended position without manually calculating the defective region 15 to be removed next. Therefore, by efficiently removing the defective regions 15, the removed sheet 70 can be efficiently produced.
[0111] Although one embodiment has been described with reference to a specific example, the above-mentioned specific example does not limit the embodiment. The above-mentioned embodiment can be embodied in various other specific examples, and various omissions, substitutions, changes, additions, etc. can be made without departing from the spirit of the embodiment.
[0112] In the above-described removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the sheet 10 is wound around the first core 21 in the detection device 30. The sheet 10 wound around the first core 21 is brought into the removal device 40 and wound around the second core 22. The first core 21 and the second core 22 are different cores 20 from each other. This is not limited to the above, and as shown in FIG. 6, the defective area 15 may be detected by the detection unit 60 during conveyance from one core 20 to the other core 20 and removed by the removal unit 45. The first core 21 and the second core 22 may be the same core 20. The defective area 15 may be detected upstream of the sheet 10 conveyed by roll-to-roll. The defective area 15 may be removed downstream of the sheet conveyed by roll-to-roll.
[0113] In the above-described removed sheet manufacturing system 1, the control device 50 stores the orientation information OI regarding the direction in which the sheet 10 is conveyed as a program in the memory. This is not limited to the above, and the control device 50 may obtain the orientation information OI from the detection unit 60. The sheet 10 may include a mark indicating the direction in which the sheet 10 is conveyed. The mark may be located at at least one of the first end 11 and the second end 12 of the sheet 10. The detection unit 60 may detect the orientation information OI by detecting the mark. The detection result of the orientation information OI by the detection unit 60 may be transmitted to the control device 50. [Explanation of symbols]
