Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an external skin preparation that contains cannabidiol, a cannabinoid, with excellent stability. [Background technology]
[0002] Cannabidiol, a cannabinoid found in cannabis, has been studied for its pain-relieving, relaxing, and anti-anxiety effects, but recent studies have shown it may also have therapeutic benefits when applied to the skin, raising hopes for its use in skin care products.
[0003] However, it has been found that solvents and cream formulations containing cannabidiol turn yellow or pink over time. In cosmetics, discoloration problems can cause anxiety and health problems for consumers, so it is important in formulation development to suppress coloration.
[0004] As a method for solving such problems, Patent Document 1 proposes a cannabidiol composition containing a fat-soluble vitamin C derivative. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0005] [Patent Document 1] Patent Publication No. 2022-109516 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide an external skin preparation that is inhibited from discoloring over time by increasing the stability of cannabidiol. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] As a result of extensive research into improving the stability of cannabidiol in topical skin preparations, the inventors discovered that by containing the below-described components (A) and (B) as essential components, a topical skin preparation that is inhibited from discoloring over time can be obtained, and thus completed the present invention.
[0008] [1] A cannabinoid-containing topical skin preparation comprising the following (A) to (B): (A) UV absorber (B) Solvent or water-soluble solvent [2] The topical skin preparation described in [1], wherein the cannabinoid is cannabidiol. [3] The topical skin preparation according to [1] or [2], wherein the ultraviolet absorber is one or more selected from diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, oxybenzone, and bisethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine. [4] The external skin preparation according to any one of [1] to [3], wherein the solvent is at least one selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon oils and ester oils. [5] The topical skin preparation according to any one of [1] to [4], wherein the water-soluble solvent is at least one component selected from components having an IOB of 2 or higher. Effect of the Invention
[0009] According to the present invention, by increasing the stability of cannabidiol, it is possible to provide an external skin preparation that is inhibited from discoloring over time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0010] The present invention relates to a cannabinoid-containing external skin preparation comprising (A) and (B).
[0011] Cannabidiol, a cannabinoid, can be extracted from hemp or citrus peels or synthesized. In addition, commercially available products such as (-)-trans-Cannabidiol, synthesized (manufactured by CB Depot) may also be used.
[0012] The content of cannabidiol is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.01 to 50.0% by mass, more preferably 0.05 to 10.0% by mass, relative to the skin topical preparation. These suitable blending ratios vary depending on the formulation and purpose of the skin topical preparation.
[0013] Examples of the ultraviolet absorbent of component (A) used in the skin topical preparation of the present invention include, but are not limited to, diethylaminohydroxybenzoylhexyl benzoate, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, oxybenzone, bisethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine, etc.
[0014] The content of the ultraviolet absorbing agent is preferably 0.01 to 3 mass %, and more preferably 0.01 to 1 mass %, based on the total amount of the external preparation for skin.
[0015] The component (B) used in the skin topical preparation of the present invention is a solvent or a water-soluble solvent. The solvent is preferably at least one selected from hydrocarbon oils and ester oils. Among them, the solvent is preferably cetyl ethylhexanoate or squalane. However, the solvent is not limited to these.
[0016] The content of the solvent is preferably 0.01 to 30% by mass, and more preferably 0.01 to 10% by mass, based on the total weight of the external preparation for skin.
[0017] The water-soluble solvent is preferably at least one selected from components having an IOB of 2 or more. Among them, the water-soluble solvent is preferably 1,3-butylene glycol (IOB: 2.50). However, the water-soluble solvent is not limited to these.
[0018] The content of the water-soluble solvent is preferably 0.01 to 30% by mass, and more preferably 0.01 to 10% by mass, based on the total weight of the external preparation for skin.
[0019] As described above, the present invention can more effectively suppress discoloration of cannabidiol, a cannabinoid, over time by using (A) an ultraviolet absorber in combination with (B) a solvent or a water-soluble solvent.
[0020] The skin external preparation of the present invention may further contain optional components within the range that does not impair the effect of the present invention. The optional components can include known components that are usually blended in skin external preparations. The optional components can include, for example, vegetable oils and fats, waxes, moisturizers, thickeners, powders, pigments, coloring materials, anionic surfactants, cationic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants, solvents, fragrances, preservatives, etc.
[0021] The dosage form of the external skin preparation of the present invention is not particularly limited, and it may be in any dosage form, such as a skin lotion, a gel-type milky lotion, a gel-type beauty essence, or a gel-type cream. EXAMPLES
[0022] The present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to test examples of the present invention, but the present invention is not limited thereto. In the following examples, the amounts of ingredients are expressed in mass% unless otherwise specified. The evaluation methods used in each test example will be described below.
[0023] (Test Example 1) Evaluation of the Inhibition of Discoloration of Cannabidiol by the Use of a UV Absorber in Combination with a Solvent or a Water-Soluble Solvent
[0024] 1-1. Sample preparation Each component constituting the first phase shown in Table 2 was weighed out and stirred until homogenous to obtain a cannabidiol solution.
[0025] 1-2. Stability evaluation method The cannabidiol solution prepared in 1-1 was left in a thermostatic chamber at -5°C and 50°C for one week. After that, the sample was returned to room temperature and the appearance was visually observed and the color difference was measured using a spectrophotometer (SE-6000, Nippon Denshoku Co., Ltd.). <Judgment criteria> ○: No coloring (difference in a* between -5℃ and 50℃ is less than 1) ×: Discoloration (difference in a* between -5℃ and 50℃ is 1 or more)
[0026] 1-3.Results As shown in Table 1, no discoloration to pink was observed in Examples 1-1 to 1-12, and they showed excellent stability over time. It was therefore confirmed that the combined use of an ultraviolet absorber and a solvent or a water-soluble solvent has the effect of inhibiting discoloration of cannabidiol.
[0027] [Table 1]
[0028] Examples of skin external preparations of the present invention are shown below. The blending amount is mass %. Example 2 was confirmed to have an effect of inhibiting discoloration caused by cannabidiol by the method described in Examples 1-1 to 1-12.
