Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a laminated glass for a vehicle roof. [Background technology]
[0002] Light-adjustable laminated glass, in which a light-adjusting section whose transmittance can be changed electrically is enclosed in an interlayer, is known for use in automobile and train windowpanes. The light-adjusting section is composed of a light-adjusting layer and a pair of conductive layers sandwiching the light-adjusting layer. To improve the privacy of passengers, such light-adjustable laminated glass, for example, scatters light and becomes like frosted glass when the light-adjusting layer is in the off state, and becomes transparent when the light-adjusting section is in the on state. For example, a liquid crystal element is used as the light-adjusting layer (see, for example, Patent Document 1). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] International Publication No. 2022 / 153998 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] The light-control laminated glass may be used, for example, in the roof of a vehicle. In addition, in a vehicle, privacy glass with a gray color scheme may be used, for example, in the rear glass or side glass adjacent to the roof. By using privacy glass in the rear glass, etc., it is possible to protect the privacy of passengers in the rear seats from the outside. In this case, the windshield is required by law to have a visible light transmittance of 70% or more. For this reason, the visible light transmittance of the interior space of the vehicle is significantly different between the front side and the rear side of the vehicle, so that the color tone tends to be discordant. In this case, in order to give a sense of unity to the color tone of the interior space of the vehicle, it is possible to use the light control of the light-control laminated glass used in the roof, for example. However, even if the light-control layer of the roof glass is matched to the hue of the rear glass, a difference in color tone is observed between the two, so it has been difficult to ensure a sense of unity in the color tone in the interior space of the vehicle.
[0005] Thus, there is a need for a laminated glass for a vehicle roof that can be color-matched with other glass disposed adjacent to the roof. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] The characteristic configuration of the laminated glass for vehicle roofs according to the present invention is that the laminated glass for vehicle roofs is used for at least a part of the roof of a vehicle, and comprises a light control layer capable of adjusting light transmittance by application of a voltage, an intermediate layer having insulating properties and arranged to sandwich the light control layer, and a pair of glass plates, an exterior glass plate and an interior glass plate, arranged to sandwich the intermediate layer, and has a color-adjusting layer that is arranged on the interior side of the vehicle relative to the light control layer and matches the color tone with another glass plate provided on a surface portion of the vehicle that is continuous with the roof.
[0007] According to this configuration, the laminated glass for vehicle roof has a color-adjusting layer that is disposed on the vehicle inner side of the light control layer and matches the color tone with another glass plate provided on the surface part of the vehicle that is continuous with the roof. Therefore, even if the other glass plate provided on the surface part of the vehicle that is continuous with the roof is a colored glass plate, the color-adjusting layer of the laminated glass for vehicle roof can match the color tone with the other glass plate. As a result, a sense of uniformity in the color tone of the interior space of the vehicle can be easily and appropriately ensured.
[0008] Another characteristic feature is that the color-adjusting layer is formed by the vehicle interior glass plate.
[0009] The light control laminated glass used in a vehicle is configured to include a light control layer capable of adjusting light transmittance by application of a voltage, an insulating intermediate layer arranged to sandwich the light control layer, and a pair of glass plates, an exterior glass plate and an interior glass plate, arranged to sandwich the intermediate layer. Therefore, as in this configuration, if the color-adjusting layer is formed of the interior glass plate, the laminated glass for a vehicle roof can be configured without adding a new member as the color-adjusting layer, and the costs and steps during manufacturing can be reduced. In addition, since the interior glass plate as the color-adjusting layer is the same glass plate as the other glass plate provided on the surface of the vehicle that is continuous with the roof, it is easy to match the color tone with the other glass, and it is easy to ensure a sense of unity in the color tone of the interior space of the vehicle.
[0010] Another characteristic feature is that the optical adjustment layer for adjusting optical performance is further provided.
[0011] Since the laminated glass for vehicle roofs having a light control layer includes a pair of glass plates, the pair of glass plates are susceptible to the effects of external light on the interior space of the vehicle and the effects of reflections of the interior space, etc. Therefore, in this configuration, the laminated glass for vehicle roofs is further provided with an optical adjustment layer that adjusts optical performance. As a result, the laminated glass for vehicle roofs can appropriately adjust the effects of the pair of glass plates on the interior space of the vehicle by the optical adjustment layer.
[0012] Another characteristic feature is that the optical adjustment layer is configured to be able to adjust at least one of visible light transmittance, luminance, and luminous intensity.
[0013] As in the present configuration, if the optical adjustment layer is configured to be able to adjust at least one of the visible light transmittance, brightness, and luminous intensity, the laminated glass for a vehicle roof can utilize the optical adjustment layer to appropriately adjust the effect that external light has on the interior space of the vehicle after passing through the pair of glass plates.
[0014] Another characteristic feature is that the optical adjustment layer is disposed closer to the vehicle exterior than the color adjustment layer.
[0015] If the optical adjustment layer is disposed on the outer side of the vehicle than the color adjustment layer as in the present configuration, the optical adjustment layer can function before the color adjustment layer with respect to external light, and the color adjustment layer can function more effectively than the optical adjustment layer with respect to the vehicle interior space. Therefore, the laminated glass for vehicle roof can easily ensure a sense of unity in the color tone of the vehicle interior space by the color adjustment layer and the optical adjustment layer.
[0016] Another characteristic configuration is that the intermediate layer includes a supporting substrate arranged on both sides of the photochromic layer to support the photochromic layer, and an adhesive layer arranged between the supporting substrate and the pair of glass plates to adhere the supporting substrate to the glass plates, and the optical adjustment layer is composed of at least one of the photochromic layer, the supporting substrate, the adhesive layer, and the exterior glass plate.
[0017] If the optical adjustment layer is formed from an existing component in the laminated glass for vehicle roofs, as in the present configuration, the laminated glass for vehicle roofs can be constructed without adding a new component as the optical adjustment layer, thereby reducing costs, steps, etc. during manufacturing.
[0018] Another characteristic feature is that the optical adjustment layer includes at least one of a Low-E film and an antireflection layer.
[0019] As in the present configuration, when the optical adjustment layer is configured to include at least one of a Low-E film and an antireflection layer, the laminated glass for vehicle roof can improve the heat shielding or heat insulation effect by the Low-E film, and the antireflection layer can easily prevent reflections of the interior space of the vehicle.
[0020] Another characteristic feature is that each of the pair of glass plates has an area of 800 mm x 600 mm or more.
[0021] As in the present configuration, when each of the pair of glass plates has an area of 800 mm × 600 mm or more, a large area of the vehicle roof laminated glass can be secured relative to the vehicle roof, making it easier to achieve a sense of uniformity in color tone in the vehicle interior space.
[0022] Another characteristic feature is that, in terms of chromaticity represented on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, the color tone difference between the color-adjusting layer and the other glass plate is within 5 for a* and within 5 for b*.
[0023] In the present configuration, in terms of chromaticity represented on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, if the difference in color tone between the color-adjusting laminated layer and other glass plates provided on the surface portion of the vehicle adjacent to the roof is within 5 for a* and within 5 for b*, then a sense of unity can be appropriately obtained in the interior space of the vehicle formed by the vehicle roof laminated glass and the other glass plates.
[0024] Another characteristic feature is that, in the chromaticity represented in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, the color-adjusting layer has a* of -10.0 or more and 6.5 or less, and b* of -3.5 or more and 6.5 or less.
[0025] For example, privacy glass may be arranged in a rear portion of a vehicle, which is a surface portion that continues from the roof toward the rear of the vehicle. Privacy glass is configured to have excellent light blocking properties, for example, with a visible light transmittance of 70% or less, and at the same time, to allow adjustment of color tone. In most cases, such privacy glass has a* of -5 or more and less than 0, and b* of 0 or more and less than 5, in terms of chromaticity expressed on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram. Therefore, with the chromaticity of this configuration, the laminated glass for vehicle roof can achieve a sense of unity with the privacy glass.
[0026] Another characteristic configuration is that the color-adjusting layer is composed of a pair of glass plates, and when the dimming layer is in a transmissive state in which it transmits visible light, the color tone of the color-adjusting layer and the other glass plates has a difference of 5 or less in a* and 5 or less in b* in chromaticity represented on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram.
[0027] As in the present configuration, when the color-adjusting composite layer is composed of a pair of glass plates and the light-controlling layer is in a transmissive state in which visible light is transmitted, if the difference in color tone between the color-adjusting composite layer and another glass plate provided on the surface of the vehicle continuous with the roof is within 5 for a* and within 5 for b* in the chromaticity represented in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, then a sense of unity can be appropriately obtained in the interior space formed by the vehicle roof laminated glass and the other glass plates.
[0028] Another characteristic feature is that, in the chromaticity represented in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, the color-adjusting layer has a* of -10.0 or more and 6.5 or less, and b* of -3.5 or more and 6.5 or less.
[0029] As described above, in the chromaticity represented on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, privacy glass often has a* of -5 or more and less than 0, and b* of 0 or more and less than 5. Therefore, with the chromaticity of this configuration, the laminated glass for vehicle roof can achieve a sense of unity with the privacy glass.
[0030] Another characteristic feature is that the color-adjusting layer is made of soda-lime glass containing 1.2 wt % or less of Fe2O3 in total and 0.5 wt % or less of TiO2.
[0031] When the color-adjusting laminated layer is made of soda-lime glass and contains a large amount of Fe2O3 or TiO2, the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram shows that a* is larger on the negative side, resulting in greenish hues, and b* is larger on the positive side, resulting in yellowish hues. On the other hand, as in this configuration, if the color-adjusting laminated layer is made of soda-lime glass with a total amount of Fe2O3 of 1.2 wt% or less and TiO2 of 0.5 wt% or less, a* and b* are smaller, resulting in suppressed color tone of the color-adjusting laminated layer. As a result, the laminated glass for vehicles can effectively obtain a sense of unity with the privacy glass in the vehicle space through the color-adjusting laminated layer. The total amount of Fe2O3 is the total amount of iron oxide when it is assumed that FeO and Fe2O3 are all present as Fe2O3, taking into account that both FeO and Fe2O3 exist as iron oxides in soda-lime glass.
[0032] Another characteristic feature is that the color-adjusting layer is further made of soda-lime glass containing 100 ppm or less of Co3O4 and 5 ppm or less of Se.
[0033] When the color-adjusting layer is made of soda-lime glass and contains a large amount of Co3O4, the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram is such that b* is negative and greenish. When the color-adjusting layer is made of soda-lime glass and contains a large amount of Se, the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram is such that a* is positive and reddish, and b* is positive and yellowish. On the other hand, when the color-adjusting layer contains 100 ppm or less of Co3O4 and 5 ppm or less of Se, as in this configuration, the color tone change of the color-adjusting layer due to a* and b* is suppressed. As a result, the vehicle laminated glass can effectively obtain a sense of unity with the privacy glass in the vehicle space through the color-adjusting layer.
[0034] Another characteristic feature is that the color-adjusting layer is made of soda-lime glass having a total amount of Fe2O3 and TiO2 of 1.0 wt% or more and 4.0 wt% or less, Co3O4 of 500 ppm or less, and Se of 15 ppm or more and 40 ppm or less.
[0035] When the color-adjusting layer is made of soda-lime glass and contains a large amount of Fe2O3 or TiO2, the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram is such that a* becomes negative and greenish, and b* becomes positive and yellowish. When the color-adjusting layer is made of soda-lime glass and contains a large amount of Co3O4, the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram is such that b* becomes negative and greenish. When the color-adjusting layer is made of soda-lime glass and contains a large amount of Se, the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram is such that a* becomes positive and reddish, and b* becomes positive and yellowish.
[0036] Therefore, as in this configuration, even if the total amount of Fe2O3 and the sum of TiO2 in the color-adjusting laminated layer is 1.0 wt% or more and 4.0 wt% or less, if the color-adjusting laminated layer is made of soda-lime glass with Co3O4 being 500 ppm or less and Se being 15 ppm or more and 40 ppm or less, the tendency of a* in the color-adjusting laminated layer to increase in the negative direction due to the total amount of Fe2O3 and the sum of TiO2 is returned to the positive direction by Se. Also, the tendency of b* in the color-adjusting laminated layer to increase in the positive direction due to the total amount of Fe2O3 and the sum of TiO2 is returned to the negative direction by Co3O4. In other words, since a* and b* do not become large values in either the positive or negative direction, the laminated glass for vehicles can effectively obtain a sense of unity with the privacy glass in the vehicle space by the color-adjusting laminated layer.
[0037] Another characteristic feature is that the color adjusting layer is Among the chromaticities represented in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, a color component function Fa correlated with a* and a color component function Fb correlated with b* are determined based on the total amount of Fe2O3, TiO2, Co3O4, and Se contained in the color adjusting layer. Fa = -3.5 x [total amount of Fe2O3 (wt%)] -1.5 x [TiO2 (wt%)] + 0.20 x [Se (ppm)], and Fb = [Total amount of Fe2O3 (wt%)] + 4 × [TiO2 (wt%)] - 43 × 10 -4 ×〔Co3O4(ppm)〕+0.4×10 -4 ×〔Se(ppm)〕 When we define It is made of soda lime glass that satisfies -9≦Fa≦1 and -5≦Fb≦10.
[0038] In the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, a* indicates a chromaticity that is reddish when it is positive and greenish when it is negative. Also, b* indicates a chromaticity that is yellowish when it is positive and blueish when it is negative. The color adjustment layer is made of soda glass, and when it contains a large amount of Fe2O3 or TiO2, a* increases on the negative side and becomes greenish, and b* increases on the positive side and becomes yellowish. Therefore, among the chromaticities shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, the color component function Fa that is correlated with a* and the color component function Fb that is correlated with b* are proportional to a* and b*, respectively, by defining the coefficients of each component as above. Therefore, as in this configuration, if the color-adjusting laminated layer is made of soda glass and Fa and Fb satisfy the above ranges, a* and b* can be kept within a predetermined range in the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram. This allows the laminated glass for vehicles to effectively achieve a sense of unity with the privacy glass in the vehicle space through the color-adjusting laminated layer. [0040] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the laminated glass for a vehicle roof according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the following embodiment, and various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
[0041] As shown in FIG. 1, a laminated glass 10 for a vehicle roof (hereinafter, referred to as "laminated glass 10") is disposed in a part of a roof 2 of a vehicle 1. The vehicle 1 has a front surface 3, a rear surface 4, and left and right side surfaces 5, 5 as surfaces of the vehicle 1 that are continuous with the roof 2, and a windshield 3a is provided on the front surface 3, a rear glass 4a is provided on the rear surface 4, and a plurality of side glasses 5a are provided on the side surfaces 5, 5. In the following drawings, for example, as shown in FIG. 1, the traveling direction of the vehicle (vehicle front-rear direction) is defined as the X direction, the front side of the traveling direction of the vehicle is defined as the X1 side, and the rear side of the traveling direction is defined as the X2 side. A roof rear edge portion 2a exists between the X2 side end of the laminated glass 10 and the X1 side end of the rear glass 4a.
[0042] [First embodiment] 2, the laminated glass 10 includes a pair of glass plates 11, 12, an intermediate layer 13, a light control layer 14, and a pair of conductive layers 15, 15. The intermediate layer 13 is composed of, for example, a first intermediate layer 31 (an example of an adhesive layer) that is bonded to the pair of glass plates 11, 12, and a second intermediate layer 32 (an example of a support substrate) that is disposed between the first intermediate layer 31 and the light control layer 14. The light control unit 20 includes the light control layer 14, the pair of conductive layers 15, 15, and the second intermediate layer 32. The light control unit 20 includes an element that can switch the light transmittance of the laminated glass 10.
[0043] The light control unit 20 is switchable between, for example, a low transmittance state and a high transmittance state. The transmittance may be switchable in multiple steps, or may be switchable steplessly (continuously). The light control unit 20 may be disposed over substantially the entire laminated glass 10, or may be disposed over only a portion of the laminated glass 10, as necessary. The planar shape of the light control unit 20 is, for example, a rectangle smaller than the planar shape of the laminated glass 10.
[0044] The dimming unit 20 is covered with a first intermediate layer 31. In the dimming unit 20, a second intermediate layer 32 supports a pair of conductive layers 15, 15. The first intermediate layer 31 is a buffer film having a smaller Young's modulus than the second intermediate layer 32. The first intermediate layer 31 and the second intermediate layer 32 are both formed of resin, and a pair of glass plates 11, 12 are bonded to the dimming unit 20 via the first intermediate layer 31.
[0045] For example, the light-adjusting layer 14 has a parallel light transmittance of less than 30% when no voltage is applied, and a parallel light transmittance of 30% or more when a voltage is applied. It is more preferable that the light-adjusting layer 14 has a parallel light transmittance of 20% or less when no voltage is applied, and a parallel light transmittance of 40% or more when a voltage is applied.
[0046] The light-adjusting layer 14 may have a haze of 10% or more when no voltage is applied, and less than 10% when a voltage is applied. More preferably, the light-adjusting layer 14 has a haze of 20% or more when no voltage is applied, and less than 8% when a voltage is applied. The light-adjusting layer 14 may be formed to have a smaller surface area than the intermediate layer 13 (the first intermediate layer 31 and the second intermediate layer 32).
[0047] For example, the light-controlling layer 14 formed of liquid crystal or the like is configured as a light-controlling film including a pair of conductive layers 15, 15 arranged on both sides of the light-controlling layer 14. The light-controlling layer 14 controls the haze ratio of the film by, for example, the presence or absence of electrical current, to create a transparent state and an opaque state. That is, the light-controlling layer 14 can adjust the light transmittance by applying a voltage. As the light-controlling layer 14, for example, a known type such as a PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) type or an SPD (Suspended Particle Device) type using liquid crystal, an electrochromic type, or a thermochromic type can be used.
[0048] The pair of conductive layers 15, 15 are disposed to sandwich the switchable layer 14, and when power is supplied, a voltage is applied to the switchable layer 14. The intermediate layer 13 (the first intermediate layer 31 and the second intermediate layer 32) is disposed to sandwich the pair of conductive layers 15, 15, and has insulating properties.
[0049] The light-controlling layer 14 becomes opaque when no voltage is applied, and becomes transparent through light control when a voltage is applied via the pair of conductive layers 15, 15. The light-controlling layer 14 may be configured to become transparent when no voltage is applied, and to become opaque when a voltage is applied.
[0050] The light-controlling layer 14 is configured so that, for example, when the haze value is set to 10% or less, a voltage of 30 V or more is applied to it. With this configuration, the light-controlling layer 14 in the laminated glass 10 can satisfactorily increase the transparency and can properly exhibit the light-controlling function.
[0051] The thickness of the switchable layer 14 is preferably 20 μm or more and 150 μm or less. When the thickness of the switchable layer 14 is 20 μm or more and 150 μm or less, the laminated glass 10 can ensure an appropriate switchable function in the switchable layer 14 while reducing the weight of the switchable layer 14.
[0052] In this embodiment, the laminated glass 10 includes a pair of glass plates 11, 12, of which the first glass plate 11 (an example of a glass plate disposed on the vehicle interior side) is disposed on the vehicle interior side, and the second glass plate 12 (an example of a glass plate disposed on the vehicle exterior side). The pair of glass plates 11, 12 are disposed so as to sandwich an intermediate layer 13. Specifically, the pair of glass plates 11, 12 face each other, and the intermediate layer 13, the light control layer 14, and a pair of conductive layers 15, 15 are positioned between the pair of glass plates 11, 12. The pair of glass plates 11, 12 are fixed together with the intermediate layer 13, the light control layer 14, etc. sandwiched therebetween.
[0053] Known glass plates can be used for the first glass plate 11 and the second glass plate 12, and they can be made of common soda-lime glass. An example of the composition of soda-lime glass is shown below.
[0054] (soda lime glass) SiO2: 70~73% by mass Al2O3:0.6~2.4% by mass CaO: 7~12% by mass MgO: 1.0~4.5% by mass RO: 13 to 15 mass% (R is an alkali metal) Total iron oxide converted to Fe2O3 (T-Fe2O3): 0.08-0.14 mass%
[0055] The laminated glass 10 has a color-adjusting laminated layer M arranged on the vehicle interior side of the light control layer 14. In the laminated glass 10, the color-adjusting laminated layer M matches the color tone with, for example, a rear glass 4a (an example of another glass plate) provided on the rear face 4 (rear) continuing to the roof 2 in the vehicle 1 shown in FIG. 1. In this embodiment, the color-adjusting laminated layer M is formed of a first glass plate 11 (a glass plate on the vehicle interior side). The rear glass 4a continuing to the roof 2 means a form in which the glasses (the laminated glass 10 and the rear glass 4a) are recognized as an integral and inseparable glass via the roof rear edge portion 2a, and means a state in which the laminated glass 10 and the rear glass 4a are visually recognized adjacent to each other when viewed from inside the vehicle.
[0056] Each of the pair of glass plates 11, 12 has an area of, for example, 800 mm × 600 mm or more. If each of the pair of glass plates 11, 12 in the laminated glass 10 has an area of 800 mm × 600 mm or more, a large area of the laminated glass 10 can be secured relative to the roof 2 of the vehicle 1, making it easier to achieve a uniform color tone in the interior space of the vehicle.
[0057] When only the first glass plate 11 is used as the color-adjusting laminated layer M, the difference in color tone between the color-adjusting laminated layer M and the rear glass 4a, calculated by observation from the inside of the vehicle, is within 5 for a* and within 5 for b* in the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram conforming to JIS Z8781-4 (2013). This allows a sense of unity in the vehicle interior space formed by the laminated glass 10 and the rear glass 4a (other glass plate) to be appropriately obtained. It is more preferable that the difference in color tone between the color-adjusting laminated layer M and the rear glass 4a is within 3 for a* and within 3 for b* in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram.
[0058] The color-adjusting laminated layer M may be composed of a pair of glass plates 11, 12. In this case, the color-adjusting laminated layer M (pair of glass plates 11, 12) has a color difference between the color-adjusting laminated layer M and the rear glass 4a calculated by observation from the inside of the vehicle in the chromaticity represented in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram conforming to JIS Z8781-4 (2013) when the light-adjusting layer 14 is in a transmitting state in which visible light is transmitted, and the color difference is within 5 for a* and within 5 for b*. In this way, a sense of unity in the vehicle interior space formed by the laminated glass 10 and the rear glass 4a (another glass plate) can be appropriately obtained. It is more preferable that the color difference between the color-adjusting laminated layer M (pair of glass plates 11, 12) and the rear glass 4a is within 3 for a* and within 3 for b* in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram.
[0059] Here, the privacy glass used for the rear glass 4a and the like to make it difficult for passengers in the rear seats to be seen from the outside is configured to have a visible light transmittance of 70% or less, excellent light blocking properties, and at the same time, to be capable of adjusting the color tone. In such privacy glass, in the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, a* is -5 or more and less than 0, and b* is 0 or more and less than 5 in many cases. Therefore, when the privacy glass is used for the rear glass 4a, it is preferable that the color-adjusting laminated layer M has a* of -10.0 or more and 6.5 or less, and b* of -3.5 or more and 6.5 or less, in the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, whether it is only the first glass plate 11 or the pair of glass plates 11 and 12. By setting the chromaticity of the color-adjusting laminated layer M to the above chromaticity range, the laminated glass 10 can obtain a sense of unity with the privacy glass.
[0060] Second Embodiment Since the laminated glass 10 having the light control layer 14 includes a pair of glass plates 11, 12, the pair of glass plates 11, 12 is susceptible to the effects of external light on the vehicle interior space and reflections of the interior space. Therefore, in the second embodiment, as shown in Fig. 3, the laminated glass 10 further includes an optical adjustment layer 40 that adjusts optical performance. The other configurations are the same as those of the first embodiment.
[0061] In this way, by providing the laminated glass 10 with the optical adjustment layer 40 that adjusts the optical performance, the laminated glass 10 can appropriately adjust the influence of the pair of glass plates 11, 12 on the interior space of the vehicle by the optical adjustment layer 40. Here, the optical adjustment layer 40 is configured to be able to adjust at least one of the visible light transmittance, the luminance, and the luminous intensity. As a result, the laminated glass 10 can utilize the optical adjustment layer 40 to appropriately adjust the influence of external light passing through the pair of glass plates 11, 12 on the interior space of the vehicle.
[0062] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the optical adjustment layer 40 is disposed on the vehicle outer side of the color adjustment layer M, and is configured to include a Low-E film 41. The Low-E film 41 is disposed between the second glass plate 12 and the intermediate layer 13. Here, the Low-E film 41 is configured of a metal film. In order to achieve both infrared reflectance and visible light transmittance, the thickness of the Low-E film 41 (low emissivity film) is preferably about 1 to 5000 nm, more preferably about 10 to 3000 nm. The Low-E film 41 is preferably a multilayer film formed by laminating two or more layers selected from a metal layer, a metal oxide layer, a metal nitride layer, and a metal oxynitride layer. A suitable example of the metal layer is a silver layer. A suitable example of the metal oxide layer is a tin oxide layer, a titanium oxide layer, or a zinc oxide layer. A suitable example of the metal nitride layer is silicon nitride. A suitable example of the metal oxynitride layer is silicon oxynitride. According to this configuration, the optical adjustment layer 40 can function before the color-adjusting layer M with respect to external light, and the color-adjusting layer M can function more easily with respect to the vehicle interior than the optical adjustment layer 40. Therefore, the laminated glass 10 can ensure uniformity in the color tone of the vehicle interior space by the color-adjusting layer M and the optical adjustment layer 40. In addition, since the Low-E film 41 is disposed between the second glass plate 12 and the intermediate layer 13, the laminated glass 10 can exhibit a heat-shielding effect by the Low-E film 41.
[0063] [Modification 1 of the second embodiment] 4, in the laminated glass 10, the Low-E film 41 may be disposed between the first glass plate 11 and the intermediate layer 13. According to this configuration, in the laminated glass 10, the Low-E film 41 serving as the optical adjustment layer 40 can exhibit a heat insulating effect.
[0064] [Modification 2 of the second embodiment] As shown in FIG. 5, the laminated glass 10 may be configured to include an antireflection layer 42 as an optical adjustment layer 40 that adjusts optical performance. Here, the antireflection layer 42 is a thin film made of silicon dioxide, titanium oxide, or the like, with a thickness of 60 nm to 120 nm. The antireflection layer 42 has, for example, one or more layers made of one or more types of material. The material that makes up the antireflection layer 42 is not limited to a specific material. The antireflection layer 42 may be, for example, SiO2 or SiO 1.5 , TiO2 and TiO 1.5 The antireflection layer 42 may be a film formed by a sol-gel method or the like using a material such as fluorine-containing polysiloxane as a main component, or may be a film in which hollow particles or particles of a low refractive index material are dispersed in the main component. The film thickness of the antireflection layer 42 in this embodiment is, for example, 80 nm to 800 nm, preferably 100 nm to 500 nm, and more preferably more than 100 nm and 150 nm or less.
[0065] 5, the antireflection layer 42 is disposed on both sides of the second glass plate 12. If the optical adjustment layer 40 is configured to include the antireflection layer 42 as in this embodiment, it is easy to prevent the interior space of the vehicle from being reflected by the laminated glass 10. Although not shown, the antireflection layer 42 may be provided only on the interior side of the second glass plate 12.
[0066] [Modification 3 of the second embodiment] In the laminated glass 10, the optical adjustment layer 40 may be composed of at least one of the light control layer 14, the second intermediate layer 32, the first intermediate layer 31, and the second glass plate 12 shown in FIG.
[0067] If the optical adjustment layer 40 is constructed from existing components that the laminated glass 10 has, as in this modified example, the laminated glass 10 can be constructed without adding a new component as the optical adjustment layer 40, thereby reducing manufacturing costs, processes, etc.
[0068] [Example] In the following, the chromaticity based on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram was measured for each of glass A, glass B, glass C1, C2, glass D, and glass E shown in Table 1 below, with the thickness converted to 2 mm. Glass A has a gray color, glass B has a light green color, glasses C1 and C2 are transparent, glass D has a dark green color, and glass E has a dark yellow color. Here, glass A is an example of privacy glass placed on the side or rear side of the rear seat of a vehicle.
[0069] [Table 1]
[0070] Table 1 and FIG. 6 show the metal components contained in each glass and the measurement results of chromaticity based on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram for Glass A to Glass E. The total amount of Fe2O3 is the total amount of iron oxide when it is assumed that FeO and Fe2O3 are all present as Fe2O3, taking into account that both FeO and Fe2O3 exist as iron oxide in soda glass. According to Table 1 and FIG. 6, the difference (difference) in color tone between Glass A and Glasses C1, C2, and Glass D was within 5 for a* and within 5 for b*. On the other hand, the difference (difference) in color tone between Glass A and Glass B was 5 or more for both a* and b*. Moreover, the difference (difference) in color tone between Glass A and Glass E was within 5 for a*, but was 5 or more for b*. From these, it was shown that when glass A is used as another glass provided on a surface portion continuing from the roof 2 in the vehicle 1 (Figure 1), glass A, glass C1, C2, and glass D are suitable as the color-adjusting composite layer M (first glass plate 11).
[0071] In addition, glass A, glass C1, glass C2, and glass D all had a* values in the range of -10.0 or more and 6.5 or less, and b* values in the range of -3.5 or more and 6.5 or less. On the other hand, glass B had a* values smaller than -10.0 and outside the range of -10.0 or more and 6.5 or less, and b* values larger than 6.5 and outside the range of -3.5 or more and 6.5 or less. In addition, glass E had a* values in the range of -10.0 or more and 6.5 or less, but b* values larger than 6.5 and outside the range of -3.5 or more and 6.5 or less. From this point of view, it was shown that glass A, glass C1, glass C2, and glass D are suitable for the color-adjusting composite layer M in the single plate glass (first glass plate 11).
[0072] Since glass A is a privacy glass, looking at glass other than glass A, it is preferable that the color-adjusting layer M contains 100 ppm or less of CO3O4 and 5 ppm or less of Se, as in glasses C1, C2 and D.
[0073] [Laminated Glass] Next, for Glasses A to E shown in Table 1, the thickness was converted to 2 mm, and the chromaticity was measured based on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram for each of the laminated glasses, in which two pieces were used for the pair of glass plates 11 and 12. Five laminated glasses, namely, laminated glasses F to J shown in Table 2 below, were used as the laminated glasses. As for the intermediate layer, PVB film 7018 (manufactured by Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd.) was used as a common intermediate layer for all of laminated glasses F to J. However, an intermediate layer having a color may be used instead.
[0074] [Table 2]
[0075] The measurement results of chromaticity based on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram for the laminated glass F to the laminated glass J are shown in Table 2 and FIG. 7. The color tone differences (differences) between the glass A and the laminated glass F to the laminated glass J based on Tables 1 and 2 are as follows. The color tone differences (differences) between the glass A and the laminated glass F, the laminated glass G, and the laminated glass H were within 5 for a* and within 5 for b*. On the other hand, the color tone differences (differences) between the glass A and the laminated glass I and the laminated glass J were 5 or more for both a* and b*. These results show that when the glass A is used as another glass plate provided on the surface portion continuing to the roof 2 in the vehicle 1 (FIG. 1), the laminated glass F, the laminated glass G, and the laminated glass H are suitable as the color-adjusting laminated layer M (a pair of glass plates 11, 12).
[0076] Furthermore, the laminated glass F, the laminated glass G, and the laminated glass H all had a* values in the range of -10.0 or more and 6.5 or less, and b* values in the range of -3.5 or more and 6.5 or less. On the other hand, the glass I and the glass J had a* values smaller than -10.0 and outside the range of -10.0 or more and 6.5 or less, and b* values larger than 6.5 and outside the range of -3.5 or more and 6.5 or less. This also demonstrated that the laminated glass F, the laminated glass G, and the laminated glass H were suitable for the color-adjusting laminated layer M in the laminated glass (a pair of glass plates 11, 12).
[0077] The color-adjusting layer M may be made of soda-lime glass specified by the color component functions Fa and Fb shown below, instead of the chromaticities a* and b* based on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram.
[0078] The color component function Fa is correlated with a* in the chromaticity shown on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram. The color component function Fa is calculated based on the total amount of Fe2O3, TiO2, and Se contained in Glasses A to E. Define Fa = -3.5 × [Fe2O3 (wt%)] -1.5 × [TiO2 (wt%)] + 0.20 × [Se (ppm)].
[0079] In addition, the color component function Fb is correlated with b* in the chromaticity shown on the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, and the color component function Fb is calculated based on the total amount of Fe2O3, TiO2, Co3O4, and Se contained in Glass A to Glass E as follows: Fb=[Fe2O3(wt%)]+4×[TiO2(wt%)]-43×10 -4 ×〔Co3O4(ppm)〕+0.4×10 ―4 × [Se(ppm)].
[0080] The color-adjusting layer M is preferably made of soda-lime glass that satisfies −9≦Fa≦1 and −5≦Fb≦10 when the color component functions Fa and Fb are defined as above.
[0081] In the above embodiment, for glass C1, the color component functions Fa and Fb are: Fa=-3.5×(0.6)-1.5×(0.5)+0.20×(0)=-2.9 Fb = (0.6) + 4 × (0.5) - 43 × 10 -4 (0) + 0.4 × [0] = 2.6. For glass D, the color component functions Fa and Fb are as follows: Fa=-3.5×(0.1)-1.5×(0)+0.20×(0)=-0.4 Fb = (0.1) + 4 × (0) - 43 × 10 ―4 ×(0)+0.4×10 ―4 ×(0)=0.1. Therefore, glass C1 and glass D satisfy −9≦Fa≦1 and −5≦Fb≦10. Similarly, glass C2 also satisfies the above formulas.
[0082] On the other hand, in the above embodiment, for glass B, the coloring component functions Fa and Fb are as follows: Fa=-3.5×(2.9)-1.5×(1.6)+0.20×(0)=-12.6 Fb = (2.9) + 4 × (1.6) - 43 × 10 -4 ×(300)+0.4×10 -4×(0)=8.0. In addition, for glass E, the color component functions Fa and Fb are as follows: Fa=-3.5×(1.6)-1.5×(2.7)+0.20×(30)=-3.7 Fb = (1.6) + 4 × (2.7) - 43 × 10 -4 ×(350)+0.4×10 -4 ×(30)=10.9. Therefore, glass B and glass E do not satisfy −9≦Fa≦1 and −5≦Fb≦10.
[0083] In the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, a* indicates a chromaticity that is reddish when it is positive and greenish when it is negative. Also, b* indicates a chromaticity that is yellowish when it is positive and blueish when it is negative. The color-adjusting layer M is made of soda glass, and when it contains a large amount of Fe2O3 or TiO2, a* increases on the negative side and becomes greenish, and b* increases on the positive side and becomes yellowish. Therefore, among the chromaticities shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram, the color component function Fa that is correlated with a* and the color component function Fb that is correlated with b* are proportional to a* and b*, respectively, by defining the coefficients of each component as above. Therefore, if the color-adjusting laminated layer M is made of soda glass and Fa and Fb are within the above ranges, a* and b* can be kept within a predetermined range in the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram. This allows the laminated glass 10 to effectively achieve a sense of unity with the privacy glass in the vehicle space through the color-adjusting laminated layer M.
[0084] [Other embodiments] (1) In the above second embodiment, an example was shown in which a Low-E film 41 was used as the optical adjustment layer 40, and in the above third embodiment, an example was shown in which an anti-reflection layer 42 was used as the optical adjustment layer 40, but the optical adjustment layer 40 may be constructed by using a combination of the Low-E film 41 and the anti-reflection layer 42.
[0085] (2) In the laminated glass 10, the color-adjusting laminate layer M (the first glass plate 11 or the pair of glass plates 11, 12) may be made of soda-lime glass containing 1.2 wt % or less of Fe2O3 and 0.5 wt % or less of TiO2.
[0086] When the color-adjusting laminate M is made of soda lime glass and contains a large amount of Fe2O3 or TiO2, the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram shows that a* is larger on the negative side, resulting in a greenish tint, and b* is larger on the positive side, resulting in a yellowish tint. On the other hand, as in this embodiment, if the color-adjusting laminate M is made of soda lime glass containing 1.2 wt% or less Fe2O3 and 0.5 wt% or less TiO2, a* and b* are smaller, resulting in a suppressed color tone of the color-adjusting laminate M. As a result, the laminated glass 10 can effectively achieve a sense of unity with the privacy glass in the vehicle space through the color-adjusting laminate M.
[0087] (3) In the case of the soda glass described in (2), the color-adjusting layer M may further contain Co3O4 of 100 ppm or less and Se of 5 ppm or less. When the color-adjusting layer M is made of soda glass and contains a large amount of Co3O4, the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram is such that b* is increased on the negative side and the color becomes greenish. When the color-adjusting layer M is made of soda glass and contains a large amount of Se, the chromaticity shown in the CIE L*a*b* chromaticity coordinate diagram is such that a* is increased on the positive side and the color becomes reddish, and b* is increased on the positive side and the color becomes yellowish. On the other hand, when the color-adjusting layer M contains Co3O4 of 100 ppm or less and Se of 5 ppm or less as in the present configuration, the color tone change of the color-adjusting layer M due to a* and b* is suppressed. As a result, the laminated glass 10 can effectively achieve a sense of unity with the privacy glass in the vehicle space through the color-adjusting laminated layer M.
[0088] (4) The laminated glass 10 may have a color-adjusting laminate layer M (first glass plate 11 or a pair of glass plates 11, 12) made of soda-lime glass having a total content of Fe2O3 and TiO2 of 1.0 wt% or more and 4.0 wt% or less, Co3O4 of 500 ppm or less, and Se of 15 ppm or more and 40 ppm or less.
[0089] As in the present embodiment, even if the total amount of Fe2O3 and the sum of TiO2 in the color-adjusting laminated layer M is 1.0 wt% or more and 4.0 wt% or less, if the color-adjusting laminated layer M is made of soda-lime glass in which Co3O4 is 500 ppm or less and Se is 15 ppm or more and 40 ppm or less, the tendency of a* in the color-adjusting laminated layer M to increase in the negative direction due to the total amount of Fe2O3 and the sum of TiO2 is returned to the positive direction by Se. In addition, the tendency of b* in the color-adjusting laminated layer M to increase in the positive direction due to the total amount of Fe2O3 and the sum of TiO2 is returned to the negative direction by Co3O4. In other words, since a* and b* do not become large values in either the positive or negative direction, the laminated glass 10 can effectively obtain a sense of unity with the privacy glass in the vehicle space by the color-adjusting laminated layer M. In addition, the laminated glass 10 can also adopt glass A (privacy glass) shown in Table 1 as the color-adjusting laminated layer M. [Industrial Applicability]
