Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an aqueous dispersion containing hydrophobized titanium dioxide fine particles, and to a cosmetic preparation containing the aqueous dispersion. [Background technology]
[0002] In general, in sunscreen cosmetics, inorganic powders such as titanium oxide and zinc oxide are widely used as fine inorganic powders to improve transparency and enhance ultraviolet shielding effect (Patent Document 1). However, as the surface area of these inorganic powders increases, the interactions between the particles become stronger, and as a result, the inorganic powders tend to aggregate easily.
[0003] These fine inorganic powders may be subjected to hydrophobic surface treatment for the purpose of blending into the oil phase of cosmetics or for improving water resistance. By blending such powders that have been subjected to hydrophobic surface treatment, it is expected that the ultraviolet shielding effect can be maintained even when wetted with water (Patent Documents 2 and 3). On the other hand, when blending fine inorganic powders into the aqueous phase, powders that have been subjected to hydrophilic surface treatment with silica or the like may be used. However, this hydrophilic powder has problems with water resistance and usability. In addition, as a method for dispersing hydrophobically treated powders in water, aqueous dispersions of hydrophobically treated fine titanium oxide particles using polyether-modified silicone have been considered. However, this aqueous dispersion of titanium oxide has problems with water resistance and usability (Patent Document 4).
[0004] Furthermore, a technique for obtaining dispersible powders by surface-treating powders with silicone surfactants is known. However, there has been insufficient research into the dispersion and water resistance of hydrophobically treated inorganic powders (Patent Document 5).
[0005] In addition, dispersions containing nonionic surfactants have been investigated, but sufficient dispersibility has not been obtained (Patent Document 6). For these reasons, there has been a demand for dispersions that have good long-term stability and provide a good feel when incorporated into cosmetics. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0007] The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and aims to provide an aqueous dispersion of fine inorganic powder having excellent dispersibility in aqueous media and high dispersion stability, and to provide a cosmetic preparation containing the aqueous dispersion, which is highly stable, transparent, has a feeling of use (non-sticky), and is excellent in water resistance. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] As a result of intensive research to achieve the above object, the present inventors have found that even a dispersion of titanium oxide fine particles, which is difficult to disperse, can provide an aqueous dispersion that is excellent in dispersibility in an aqueous medium, has high stability (viscosity stability), has long-term stability, and is excellent in feel when used (non-sticky) and water resistance. They have found that when this dispersion is used as a cosmetic dispersion, it results in a cosmetic that is easy to apply and has excellent transparency, feel when used, and water resistance, and have completed the present invention.
[0009] Accordingly, the present invention provides the following aqueous dispersion and cosmetic preparation. 1. The aqueous dispersion according to 1, wherein the component (a) is hydrophobized fine titanium oxide particles obtained by subjecting hydrous silica-coated titanium oxide particles to a hydrophobization treatment. 3. The aqueous dispersion according to 1 or 2, wherein the silicone in component (a) is hydrogen dimethicone. 4. The aqueous dispersion according to any one of 1 to 3, wherein the component (b) is an aqueous component having two alcoholic hydroxyl groups. 5. The aqueous dispersion according to any one of 1 to 4, wherein the component (c) is a component that is not soluble in the component (d). 6. The aqueous dispersion according to any one of 1 to 5, wherein the component (c) is polyglyceryl-3 disiloxane dimethicone. 7. The aqueous dispersion according to any one of 1 to 6, wherein the mass ratio (c) / (b) of the content of the component (c) to the content of the component (b) is 0.2 to 0.9. 8. The aqueous dispersion according to any one of 1 to 7, wherein the total content of the components (a), (b), (c) and (d) is 90 mass % or more based on the entire aqueous dispersion. 9. A cosmetic preparation containing the aqueous dispersion according to any one of 1 to 8. Effect of the Invention
[0010] According to the present invention, an aqueous dispersion can be obtained which has excellent dispersibility in aqueous media, high stability (viscosity stability), long-term stability, and excellent feel when used (non-sticky) and water resistance. When this aqueous dispersion is used as a dispersion for a cosmetic product, it is easy to apply and can provide a cosmetic product which is excellent in transparency, feel when used, and water resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0011] The present invention will be described in detail below. In the present invention, the names of ingredients may be described in cosmetic display names or International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI). When the cosmetic display name and the INCI correspond to each other, the English description may be omitted.
[0012] [Component (a)] The component (a) of the present invention is a hydrophobic titanium oxide fine particle having a number average primary particle diameter of 8 to 200 nm as measured by image analysis of a transmission electron microscope photograph, in which titanium oxide particles have been hydrophobized with silicone, and can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Titanium oxide fine particles used as an ultraviolet scattering agent having an ultraviolet shielding effect are generally any raw material that can be blended in cosmetics, and may be a composite powder of two or more types with zinc oxide and cerium oxide, or a composite powder with other powders.
[0013] In order to reduce the coagulation property or suppress the activity of the powder, the titanium oxide fine particles may be surface-treated with silica, hydrous silica, alumina, aluminum hydroxide, etc. before the hydrophobization treatment. Note that alumina and aluminum hydroxide are not preferable as surface treatment agents when the swelling of the water-soluble polymer compound used in combination is inhibited or there is a concern of a decrease in water resistance when blended into a cosmetic. Hydrous silica-coated titanium oxide particles that are surface-treated with hydrous silica are preferable because they suppress the activity of the powder and are unlikely to inhibit the swelling of the water-soluble polymer. Note that the term "coated" refers to covering a part or the whole of the titanium oxide particles.
[0014] In the present invention, the titanium oxide particles are hydrophobized with silicone. Examples of the silicone used for the hydrophobization include silanes or silylation agents such as triethoxycaprylylsilane (AES-3083, manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.), dimethyl silicone (KF-96AK series, manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.), methyl hydrogen type polysiloxanes such as hydrogen dimethicone (KF-99P, KF-9901, etc., manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.), branched silicones such as triethoxysilylethyl polydimethylsiloxyethylhexyl dimethicone and triethoxysilylethyl polydimethylsiloxyethylhexyl dimethicone (KF-9908, KF-9909, etc., manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.), and the like. In particular, if the component contains one or more selected from triethoxycaprylylsilane, triethoxysilylethyl polydimethylsiloxyethyl dimethicone, triethoxysilylethyl polydimethylsiloxyethylhexyl dimethicone, and hydrogen dimethicone, the hydrophobic treatment is good, and it is preferable in terms of dispersibility with the (c) component. The hydrophobic treatment method is not particularly limited, and can be treated by a known method. For example, a wet treatment method, a dry treatment method, a gas phase method, etc. can be mentioned.
[0015] These surface-treated titanium oxide particles are also available as commercially available products. For example, they are commercially available under the trade names MT-01, 02, 050OTS, 100Z, 100TV, 100SAS, 150EX, 200ST, 500SAM, 505SAS, 700Z, 700BS (manufactured by Teika), ST-455, 455WS, 457ECS, 457SA, 495M, 455FA (manufactured by Titanium Industries), STR-100A-LP, 100C-LP, 100W-LP, 100C-LF, 40-LP (manufactured by Sakai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.). Hydrophobized titanium oxide particles obtained by hydrophobizing hydrous silica-coated titanium oxide particles include STR-100W-LP. It is preferable that the particles are not included as the (a) component in the form of a dispersion in which the particles are dispersed in an oil agent in advance.
[0016] The number-average primary particle diameter of component (a) measured by image analysis of a transmission electron microscope photograph is 8 to 200 nm, preferably 10 to 150 nm. If it exceeds 200 nm, the ultraviolet protection function is reduced and white residue is left. If the particle diameter is less than 8 nm, the feeling of dryness may become strong and the feeling of use may become poor. The average primary particle diameter of component (a) of the present invention is the average diameter of 200 particles measured by image analysis based on a transmission electron microscope photograph. If the powder is not spherical, the average value of the minor axis of the particles is taken as the average primary particle diameter. Examples of the shape of the fine particle titanium dioxide include spindle-shaped, needle-shaped, straw-bundle-shaped, rectangular, approximately spherical, and rod-shaped.
[0017] The content of component (a) in the aqueous dispersion is 10 to 70% by mass, and from the viewpoint of usability, it is preferably 10 to 65% by mass, more preferably 15 to 60% by mass, and even more preferably 20 to 55% by mass. If it is less than 10% by mass, a sufficient ultraviolet shielding effect cannot be obtained, and if it is blended in more than 70% by mass, the spreadability during use may deteriorate, the stability over time of the dispersion may decrease, and the viscosity may increase.
[0018] [(b) Component] The component (b) of the present invention is an aqueous component having two or more alcoholic hydroxyl groups, i.e., a component that dissolves in water at 25° C., and can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Specifically, it includes sugar alcohols such as sorbitol (INCI), maltose (INCI), xylitol (INCI), glucose (INCI), glyceryl glucoside (INCI), sodium chondroitin sulfate (display name (INCI: Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate)), methyl gluceth-10 (INCI), methyl gluceth-20 (INCI), hyaluronic acid, phosphatidylglycerol, and phosphatidylinositol, BG (display name (INCI: Butylene Glycol)), PG (display name (INCI: Propylene Glycol)), and DPG (display name (INCI: Dipropylene Glycol)). Examples of suitable glycols include glycols such as pentylene glycol (INCI), 1,10-decanediol (INCI), octanediol (INCI), and 1,2-hexanediol (INCI), and polyhydric alcohols such as erythritol (INCI), glycerin (INCI), diglycerin (INCI), and polyethylene glycol. Among these, glycols such as BG (butylene glycol) and DPG (dipropylene glycol), and polyhydric alcohols such as glycerin are preferred because they dissolve in water at any ratio and have a good feel when used and are versatile as a cosmetic ingredient. In particular, glycols having two alcoholic hydroxyl groups in the molecule are more preferred.
[0019] The content of the (b) component in the aqueous dispersion is 1.0 to 30% by mass, preferably 5 to 25% by mass, and more preferably 7 to 15% by mass from the viewpoint of water resistance. From the viewpoint of stability over time, 15 to 25% by mass is more preferable, and 15 to 20% by mass is particularly preferable. If it is less than 1.0% by mass, the stability of the dispersion is deteriorated, and if it exceeds 30% by mass, the cosmetic product feels sticky when used, and the (b) component inhibits the (c) component described below from orienting in the (a) component, which may increase the viscosity or impair dispersibility in the aqueous medium. By blending the (b) component, the (c) component can be uniformly oriented on the surface of the (a) component.
[0020] [(c) component] The component (c) of the present invention is a polyglycerin-modified silicone that dissolves in the component (b), and can be used alone or in combination of two or more. By using a polyglycerin-modified silicone that dissolves in the component (b), the polyglycerin-modified silicone can be blended in water and can function as a dispersant for hydrophobic titanium oxide particles in water. In addition, when the component (c) is mixed with the component (b) at a concentration of 20% by mass and then left to stand at 25°C for 1 hour, the component (c) is considered to be in a transparent to semi-transparent state without a boundary, and the component (c) is considered to be in a non-transparent state ... non-transparent state is considered to be in a non-transparent state, and the non-transparent state is considered to be in a non-transparent state, and the non-transparent state is considered to be in a non-transparent state, and the non-transparent state is considered to be in a non-transparent state, and the non-
[0021] In terms of chemical structure, polyglycerin-modified silicone may be modified in a block or graft type by using polyglycerin and modifying the silicone chain, which is the main chain. From the viewpoint of maintaining uniform dispersion of the (a) component in the cosmetic, it is preferable to use a branched chain type. The silicone main chain may have a branched chain such as a silicone chain. Specifically, polyglyceryl-3 disiloxane dimethicone (INCI) and the like can be mentioned. From the viewpoint of water resistance, it is preferable that the (c) component dissolves at 25°C when mixed in BG at a concentration of 20% by mass and does not dissolve at 25°C when mixed in water at a concentration of 20% by mass.
[0022] Furthermore, the polyglycerin-modified silicone used in the present invention preferably has an HLB (Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance) value of 3 or more and less than 17, more preferably 5 or more and less than 15, and even more preferably 8 or more and less than 12. By making it 3 or more, dispersibility is further improved, and by making it less than 17, water resistance is further improved. The HLB is calculated by "(sum of formula weights of hydrophilic group moieties / total molecular weight)×20".
[0023] The content of the (c) component is 1.0 to 20% by mass of the aqueous dispersion, preferably 3 to 15% by mass, more preferably 4 to 10% by mass, and even more preferably 5 to 8% by mass. If it is less than 1.0% by mass, the stability of the dispersion may be deteriorated, and if it exceeds 20% by mass, the (c) component may be further oriented on the (c) component oriented on the (a) component, or the (c) component oriented on the (a) component may be easily peeled off due to the (c) component not oriented on the (a) component. As a result, the viscosity of the dispersion may be increased, or the dispersibility in the aqueous medium may be affected.
[0024] Furthermore, the mass ratio (c) / (b) of the content of the component (c) to the content of the component (b) is preferably 0.2 to 0.9. In particular, from the viewpoint of dispersibility and water resistance, it is more preferably 0.3 to 0.8, and even more preferably 0.4 to 0.5. By making this ratio 0.2 or more, the component (c) is easily oriented to the component (a), the increase in viscosity is suppressed, and the stability is further improved. On the other hand, by making it 0.9 or less, the component (c) is dispersed by the dispersion medium, it is easily oriented to the component (a), the increase in viscosity is suppressed, and the stability is further improved.
[0025] [(d) component] Component (d) of the present invention is water. Examples of water that can be used include ion-exchanged water, distilled water, deionized water, purified water as defined in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia, hot spring water, and deep sea water.
[0026] The content of component (d) is 8 to 82% by mass of the aqueous dispersion, preferably 18 to 72% by mass, and more preferably 28 to 40% by mass. Although a stable dispersion can be obtained even with a content of less than 8% by mass, it is difficult to achieve the purpose of lowering the viscosity by blending component (d). On the other hand, if the content exceeds 82% by mass, problems may occur in the stability over time.
[0027] The total content of the components (a), (b), (c) and (d) is preferably 90 to 100% by mass, more preferably 95 to 100% by mass, and even more preferably 99 to 100% by mass, based on the entire aqueous dispersion of the present invention. By making the total content of the components (a), (b), (c) and (d) 90% by mass or more, the influence of components other than the components (a), (b), (c) and (d) is small, and a dispersion with better stability and usability can be prepared.
[0028] In addition, an antifoaming agent may be added to the aqueous dispersion for the purpose of improving the handling during preparation or filling. Examples of antifoaming agents include salts such as simethicone (INCI), dimethicone (INCI), sodium chloride (display name (INCI: Sodium Chloride)), polyether-modified silicone, etc. In addition, an emulsion type in which the oil-based agent such as dimethicone is pre-emulsified may be used, and a self-emulsifying type in which the compound-based agent such as simethicone is pre-mixed with a silicone activator, etc. may be used. Among these, simethicone and sodium chloride are particularly preferred in terms of foam breaking and foam suppression properties, and simethicone is most preferred in terms of affinity with cosmetic ingredients. When an antifoaming agent is added, the amount is preferably 0.0001 to 1% by mass of the entire aqueous dispersion, more preferably 0.0025 to 0.6% by mass, and even more preferably 0.005 to 0.01% by mass.
[0029] [Aqueous dispersion] The aqueous dispersion of the present invention is easy to blend into an aqueous medium. The "dispersion" in "aqueous dispersion" refers to a composition containing 8 to 82 mass% of water, in which temporary settling is observed in the method described in the dispersibility test in the examples described later, but which disperses uniformly when stirring is continued.
[0030] [Mold of aqueous dispersion] The dispersion of the present invention is preferably liquid with a viscosity of 10 mPa·s or more and less than 200,000 mPa·s, more preferably 10 mPa·s or more and less than 10,000 mPa·s, and even more preferably 10 mPa·s or more and less than 5,000 mPa·s. By making the viscosity 10 mPa·s or more, the stability of the dispersion is further improved. On the other hand, from the viewpoint of handling, a viscosity of 200,000 mPa·s or less is preferable. The viscosity is measured at 25°C using a B-type viscometer (TVB-10 model, manufactured by Toki Sangyo Co., Ltd.) according to the method described in JIS K 7117-1:1999.
[0031] [Method for producing aqueous dispersion] When preparing the aqueous dispersion of the present invention, the method and the apparatus are not particularly limited, and can be carried out by a known method. For example, any stirrer, grinder, mixer, medium stirrer, rotation-revolution stirrer, disperser, etc., such as a Henschel mixer, ball mill, kneader, planetary mixer, ribbon blender, disperser, homomixer, jet mill, roll mill, bead mill, high-pressure disperser, etc. can be used. In particular, from the viewpoint of mixing efficiency, it is preferable to disperse using a bead mill or a high-pressure disperser.
[0032] [Cosmetics] The aqueous dispersion of the present invention can be used for various purposes, but is particularly applicable as a raw material for all cosmetics that are applied externally to the skin or hair.
[0033] The amount of the aqueous dispersion of the present invention when blended in a cosmetic is preferably 0.5 to 60% by mass, more preferably 1.0 to 50% by mass, and even more preferably 5.0 to 40% by mass, based on the total amount of the cosmetic. By making it 0.5% by mass or more, a sufficient ultraviolet protection effect can be expected, and by making it 60% by mass or less, the feeling during use is further improved.
[0034] The form of a cosmetic containing the aqueous dispersion of the present invention may be, for example, any of a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic, an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic, an aqueous cosmetic, or a multiple emulsion such as a W / O / W type or an O / W / O type. In particular, when used as a dispersion of an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic, it is easy to apply, and a stable cosmetic having excellent transparency, usability, and water resistance can be obtained.
[0035] The cosmetic of the present invention may have various properties, such as liquid, milky, creamy, solid, paste, gel, powder, pressed, multi-layered, mousse, spray, stick, pencil, etc. Multi-layered refers to a cosmetic that separates into two or more layers when left to stand, and is filled in a container containing a stainless steel ball or the like, and used after shaking. The dispersion of the present invention has good dispersibility, so it is easy to redisperse even in such a dosage form. It is called a shaking type, etc., and is easy to stabilize, so it is a cosmetic that has an excellent feel when used, but it requires a lot of shaking. The cosmetic of the present invention is preferably stable, so it can be used without being separated into multiple layers. Sprayed refers to a spray-type cosmetic that is filled in a dispenser container, an aerosol container, etc., and sprayed from a nozzle. The cosmetic filled in the dispenser container is sprayed in a mist from the nozzle of the dispenser. The aerosol container is filled with the cosmetic and a propellant. The propellant is not particularly limited, and for example, various liquefied petroleum gases (LPG), dimethyl ether, nitrogen gas, carbon dioxide gas, etc. can be used. These can be used alone or in appropriate combination of two or more. The aqueous dispersion of the present invention has high dispersibility, so it can be used in such a dosage form.
[0036] The aqueous dispersion of the present invention is applicable to various cosmetics, and is particularly preferably used in cosmetics applied to the skin, such as skin care cosmetics, makeup cosmetics, antiperspirant cosmetics, and UV protection cosmetics, and cosmetics applied to the hair, such as hair cosmetics. Examples of skin care cosmetics include lotions, milky lotions, creams, cleansing, packs, oil liquids, massage products, beauty essences, beauty oils, cleaning agents, deodorants, hand creams, lip balms, and wrinkle concealers. Examples of makeup cosmetics include makeup bases, concealers, face powders, powder foundations, eye colors, eye shadows, mascaras, eyeliners, eyebrows, and lipsticks. Examples of antiperspirant cosmetics include antiperspirant cosmetics of roll-on type, cream type, solution type, and stick type. Examples of UV protection cosmetics include sunscreen oils, sunscreen milky lotions, and sunscreen creams. Examples of hair cosmetics include shampoos, rinses, treatments, and setting agents. Among these, UV protection cosmetics are preferred.
[0037] The cosmetic of the present invention may contain various components used in ordinary cosmetic products within a range that does not impair the effects of the present invention. For example, it may contain (1) an oil agent, (2) an aqueous component other than components (b) and (d), (3) a surfactant other than component (c), (4) a powder other than component (a), (5) a composition consisting of a crosslinked organopolysiloxane and an oil agent that is liquid at room temperature, (6) a film-forming agent, and (7) other additives. These may be used alone or in appropriate combination of two or more. In addition, the components contained in the above dispersion may be blended. However, even if the components (a) to (d) of the present invention are blended without blending the dispersion of the present invention, the remarkable effects aimed at by the present invention cannot be obtained. The amounts of the components (a) to (d) other than the dispersion are not particularly limited as long as they are within a range that does not impair the effects of the present invention. When blended into a cosmetic separately from the dispersion, the amount of the component (a) excluding the amount in the dispersion is, for example, preferably 0.0 to 20% by mass, more preferably 0.0 to 10% by mass in the cosmetic. The amount of component (b) in the cosmetic is preferably 0.0 to 70% by mass, more preferably 0.0 to 50% by mass, and even more preferably 0.0 to 25% by mass. The amount of component (c) in the cosmetic is preferably 0.0 to 3.0% by mass, and more preferably 0.0 to 1.0% by mass. The dispersion of the present invention is highly stable, and when blended in a cosmetic, it does not inhibit the performance of the emulsifier or dispersant in the cosmetic, so that the amount of component (c) other than the dispersion can be reduced.
