Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] This invention relates to a tray made of foamed synthetic resin suitable for storing food and other items. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventionally, there has been known a foamed synthetic resin tray having a bottom wall component that is approximately rectangular in plan view and side wall components extending upward from each side edge of the bottom wall component, which is configured so that the foamed synthetic resin trays can be stacked on top of each other while containing items, and also so that the trays can be nested in such a way that the upper foamed synthetic resin tray is inserted deeper into the lower foamed synthetic resin tray than when stacked (for example, Patent Document 1, etc.).
[0003] The foamed synthetic resin tray described in Patent Document 1 has a contour shape that is rotationally symmetrical at approximately 180 degrees in a plan view, and comprises a frame, an item placement section that is a recess surrounded by the frame, and a tray placement section located between the frame and the item placement section. The tray placement section comprises a support leg section that is a deep recess, and a support leg placement section that is a shallow recess formed in a position that is rotationally symmetrical at approximately 180 degrees with respect to the support leg section. When no items are to be placed on the tray, the lower and upper trays are overlapped in a non-placement direction in which they have the same shape in a plan view, and at this time, the lower tray The support legs of the upper tray fit into the inner surfaces of the support legs of the tray, forming a nesting configuration, and when an item can be placed on it, the lower and upper trays are stacked in a loading direction that is approximately 180 degrees opposite in a plan view from the non-loading direction, and at this time, the lower surface of the support legs of the upper tray abuts against the upper surface of the support leg placement part of the lower tray, resulting in a stacking configuration in which space is secured between the lower and upper trays in which items can be placed (e.g., [Utility Model Registration Claims] in Patent Document 1). [0010] Hereinafter, an embodiment of a foamed synthetic resin tray according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Here, Fig. 1 is a top perspective view showing one embodiment of a foamed synthetic resin tray according to the present invention, and Fig. 2 is a bottom perspective view thereof. Fig. 3 is a plan view of the foamed synthetic resin tray shown in Figs. 1 and 2, Fig. 4 is a front view thereof, and Fig. 5 is a right side view thereof.
[0011] The foamed synthetic resin tray 1 according to the present invention comprises a bottom wall component having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view, side walls extending upward from each side edge of the bottom wall component, flanges protruding outward from the upper edges of the side walls, support legs provided by bulging outward from the side walls, and support leg placement portions provided as recesses in the flanges at a 180° rotationally symmetrical position with respect to the support legs. Note that the substantially rectangular shape in plan view includes square and rectangular shapes in plan view, and also includes shapes with four rounded corners or notched corners. 1 to 5, a tray having a bottom wall component having a generally rectangular shape in plan view with long and short sides is shown as an example, and is integrally provided with a bottom wall component 2 having a generally rectangular shape in plan view, long side sidewalls 3A, 3B extending upward from a pair of opposing long sides of the bottom wall component 2, short side sidewalls 4A, 4B extending upward from a pair of opposing short sides of the bottom wall component 2, long side flanges 5A, 5B protruding outward in a generally horizontal direction from the upper edges of the long side sidewalls 3A, 3B, and short side flanges 6A, 6B protruding outward in a generally horizontal direction from the upper edges of the short side sidewalls 4A, 4B. The long side sidewalls 3A, 3B and short side sidewalls 4A, 4B each extend upward and incline toward the outside of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1. Further, the short side flange portions 6A, 6B are formed to be wider than the long side flange portions 5A, 5B.
[0012] The bottom wall component 2 has reinforcing ribs 7 formed in a lattice pattern and protruding upward from its plate surface. The long side wall portions 3A and 3B have trapezoidal protrusions 8 protruding inward, two on one long side wall portion 3A and three on the other long side wall portion 3B, respectively, for reinforcement and to serve as a mark for checking the orientation of the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 when stacked, by changing the number of protrusions 8 formed. The long side wall portions 3A and 3B have reinforcing ribs 9 extending from the reinforcing ribs 7 formed on the bottom wall component 2, and the long side flange portions 5A and 5B and the short side flange portions 6A and 6B have bite-down portions 10 compressed in the thickness direction for reinforcement, respectively, formed on the peripheries of the long side flange portions 5A and 5B and the short side flange portions 6A and 6B.
[0013] As shown in Fig. 1 to Fig. 5, the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 according to the present invention has first support legs 11A, 11B and second support legs 12A, 12B, which are provided by bulging outward predetermined portions of the short side wall portions 4A, 4B of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1. That is, a total of four support legs are formed. The inner surfaces of the first support legs 11A, 11B and second support legs 12A, 12B are open toward the inner side of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1, and are also open upward by cutting out the short side flange portions 6A, 6B, respectively, and the concave portions formed on the inner surfaces constitute the first receiving portions 13A, 13B and the second receiving portions 14A, 14B, respectively. In addition, it is preferable that the first support legs 11A, 11B and the second support legs 12A, 12B bulge in an arc shape outward from the foamed synthetic resin tray 1, and it is preferable that the first support legs 11A, 11B and the second support legs 12A, 12B protrude outward from the side wall portions.
[0014] As shown in the right side view of FIG. 5, the first support legs 11A, 11B and the second support legs 12A, 12B are preferably formed so that their widths become narrower toward the bottom. The widths correspond to the side walls extending upward and inclined toward the outer side of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1. As shown in the front view of FIG. 4, the lower end faces of the first support legs 11A, 11B and the second support legs 12A, 12B are formed at substantially the same height as the bottom face of the bottom wall component 2, and the lower end faces of the first support legs 11A, 11B and the second support legs 12A, 12B are formed as inclined faces that are lower (located downward) toward the outside. The inclination angle α (see FIG. 6) of the lower end faces of the support legs is preferably formed at 3 to 8 degrees, more preferably 4 to 7 degrees, from the viewpoint of the stability of the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 stacked in the stacking form. In the illustrated embodiment, α is formed at 5 degrees.
[0015] The first support legs 11A, 11B are provided at the positions of the short side wall portions 4A, 4B near the corners of one of the long side wall portions 3A, and the second support legs 12A, 12B are provided at the positions of the short side wall portions 4A, 4B slightly closer to the other long side wall portion 3B than the widthwise center of the short side wall portions 4A, 4B. In addition, of the pair of short side side wall portions 4A, 4B, the first support leg 11A and the second support leg 12A provided at one of the short side wall portions 4A and the first support leg 11B and the second support leg 12B provided at the other short side wall portion 4B are provided at positions symmetrical to each other with respect to a virtual straight line passing through the widthwise center of the long side wall portions 3A, 3B when the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 is viewed in a plane (see FIG. 3).
[0016] 1 to 5, the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 according to the present invention has first support leg placement parts 15A, 15B and second support leg placement parts 16A, 16B provided as shallow recesses at predetermined positions of the short side flange parts 6A, 6B. That is, a total of four support leg placement parts are formed. The first support leg placement parts 15A, 15B and second support leg placement parts 16A, 16B open to the inner side of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1.
[0017] The first support leg placement parts 15A, 15B and the second support leg placement parts 16A, 16B have side wall parts 15A1, 15B1, 16A1, 16B1 that extend downward from the short side flange parts 6A, 6B that form the recess, and are formed to bulge outward in an arc shape, and the side wall parts 15A2, 15B2, 16A2, 16B2 that extend from the inner end of the bottom surface part of the recess to the bottom wall constituent part 2, and are formed to bulge inward in an arc shape, so that the placement surface of each support leg placement part is wide and close to circular, and the support leg placement parts are strengthened. The placement surfaces of the first support leg placement parts 15A, 15B and the second support leg placement parts 16A, 168B are formed as inclined surfaces that descend downward (are positioned downward) as they extend outward. The inclination angle β (see FIG. 7) of the support surface of the support leg portion is preferably set to 3 to 8 degrees, more preferably 4 to 7 degrees, from the viewpoint of stability of the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 stacked in the stacking configuration. In the illustrated embodiment, β is set to 5 degrees.
[0018] The first support leg placement parts 15A, 15B are provided at the positions of the short side flange parts 6A, 6B near the corners of the long side wall part 3B, and the second support leg placement parts 16A, 16B are provided at the positions of the short side flange parts 6A, 6B slightly closer to the other long side wall part 3A than the width direction center parts of the short side flange parts 6A, 6B. In addition, of the pair of short side flange parts 6A, 6B, the first support leg placement part 15A and the second support leg placement part 16A provided on one short side flange part 6A and the first support leg placement part 15B and the second support leg placement part 16B provided on the other short side flange part 6B are provided at positions symmetrical to each other with respect to a virtual straight line passing through the width direction center parts of the long side side wall parts 3A, 3B when the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 is viewed from above (see FIG. 3). Furthermore, the first support leg placement portions 15A, 15B are formed on the short side flange portions 6A, 6B which are 180-degree rotationally symmetrical positions with respect to the first support legs 11A, 11B, respectively, and the second support leg placement portions 16A, 16B are formed on the short side flange portions 6A, 6B which are 180-degree rotationally symmetrical positions with respect to the second support legs 12A, 12B, respectively. That is, the support leg placement portion formed on one short side and the support leg formed on the other short side are formed to face each other at point-symmetrical positions.
[0019] The foamed synthetic resin tray 1 according to the present invention configured as described above is integrally formed as a whole by thermoforming a foamed synthetic resin sheet. Various thermoplastic resins can be widely used as the base resin of the foamed synthetic resin sheet. Examples of such resins include polystyrene, polymethylstyrene, polyethylstyrene, dimethylstyrene, isopropylstyrene, styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer, styrene-butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer, styrene-acrylic acid copolymer, styrene-methacrylic acid copolymer, styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer, polystyrene-polyphenylene ether mixture, high impact polystyrene, styrene-butadiene copolymer, and polystyrene-based resins consisting of a mixture of two or more of these, polypropylene, propylene-α-olefin copolymer, low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, linear low density polyethylene, ethylene-butadiene copolymer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester copolymer, and polyolefin-based resins consisting of a mixture of two or more of these, and other thermoplastic resins such as polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polybutylene terephthalate, polyethylene naphthalate, polycarbonate, and polyamide. However, in terms of processability, strength, and versatility, it is more preferable to use a polystyrene-based resin.
[0020] The density of the foamed synthetic resin sheet is preferably 0.03 to 0.30 g / cm 3 , more preferably 0.07 to 0.25 g / cm 3 and its thickness is preferably 0.5 to 5.0 mm, more preferably 0.8 to 3.0 mm. Such a foamed synthetic resin sheet has good shock-absorbing properties, shape retention, and heat insulation properties. In addition, a foamed synthetic resin sheet containing bubbles having an average bubble diameter of 50 to 450 μm is preferable because it has excellent moldability and appearance.
[0021] To obtain the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 according to the present invention using the foamed synthetic resin sheet, a method of heating the foamed synthetic resin sheet and molding it with a mold is adopted. Examples of the molding method include vacuum molding, compressed air molding, and their applications such as free drawing molding, straight molding, drape molding, plug and ridge molding, ridge molding, matched mold molding, reverse draw molding, air slip molding, plug assist molding, plug assist reverse draw molding, and the like, as well as combinations of these.
[0022] The foamed synthetic resin tray 1 according to the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, and the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 can be stacked on top of each other. In particular, the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 can be stacked in a nesting configuration as shown in Figure 8, in which the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 are stacked in the same direction, so that the support legs 11A, 11B, 12A, 12B of the upper foamed synthetic resin tray 1 are accommodated in the receiving portions 13A, 13B, 14A, 14B, which are the inner surfaces of the support legs of the lower foamed synthetic resin tray 1, respectively; and, as shown in Figure 9, in which the upper foamed synthetic resin tray 1 is rotated 180 degrees relative to the lower foamed synthetic resin tray 1 and stacked, so that the lower end surfaces of the support legs 11A, 11B, 12A, 12B of the upper foamed synthetic resin tray 1 are supported by abutting against the mounting surfaces of the support leg mounting portions 15A, 15B, 16A, 16B of the lower foamed synthetic resin tray 1, respectively.
[0023] By stacking the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 according to the present invention in the nested form described above to form a nested laminate, the storage space required for the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 can be reduced when the trays are not in use.
[0024] On the other hand, by forming the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 according to the present invention in the stacking form described above, a storage space is secured between the stacked trays, and items stored in each tray (e.g., foodstuffs such as meat and fish, or items stored for cushioning) can be stored without being subjected to pressing force from the tray above. From the viewpoint of storage, the height of the mounting surface of the support leg mounting parts 15A, 15B, 16A, 16B from the outside of the tray to the bottom wall component is preferably 50% to 90%, and more preferably 70% to 85%, of the height from the bottom wall component to the tray opening.
[0025] In the above-mentioned stacking configuration, as described above, the lower end surfaces of the support legs 11A, 11B, 12A, 12B and the support surfaces of the support leg mounting portions 15A, 15B, 16A, 16B of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 of the present invention are all formed as inclined surfaces that slope downward toward the outside. Therefore, as shown in Figure 10, for example, the lower end surface of the support leg 12B of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 stacked on top fits into the mounting surface of the support leg mounting portion 16A of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 stacked on the bottom, thereby realizing a stable stacking configuration that is less likely to shift. In addition, in this invention, it was found for the first time that the reason why stacked foamed synthetic resin trays are likely to become misaligned is due to the dimensional accuracy when molding the foamed synthetic resin trays. In foamed synthetic resin trays, due to the characteristics of foam molding, it is difficult to form dimensional accuracy and acute shapes like those of non-foamed containers in the molding process. Therefore, in order to fit the trays together, in foamed synthetic resin trays, the containers must be designed with some dimensional accuracy in mind, and even when the stack bottom part (the lower end surface of the support leg) is stacked on the stack mounting part (the mounting surface of the support leg mounting part), they do not fit completely and there is play, and misalignment occurs when moved horizontally. In this invention, such a problem specific to foamed synthetic resin trays is solved for the first time by forming the lower end surfaces of the support legs 11A, 11B, 12A, 12B and the mounting surfaces of the support leg mounting parts 15A, 15B, 16A, 16B as inclined surfaces that slope downward toward the outside, as described above.
[0026] Furthermore, as described above, the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 of the present invention has the support legs 11A, 11B, 12A, 12B and the support leg placement portions 15A, 15B, 16A, 16B, each of which is formed in pairs on the side wall portions 4A, 4B or flange portions 6A, 6B on the short sides of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1, so that a stacked laminate can be realized in which the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 of the present invention, each having an approximately rectangular bottom wall portion, are stacked while being stably supported at four points.
[0027] Furthermore, in the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 according to the present invention, as described above, the support leg placement parts 15A, 15B, 16A, 16B are formed such that the side wall parts 15A1, 15B1, 16A1, 16B1 that extend downward from the flange parts 6A, 6B that form the recess are bulged outward in an arc shape, and the side wall parts 15A2, 15B2, 16A2, 16B2 that extend from the inner end of the bottom surface part of the recess to the bottom wall component part 2 are bulged inward in an arc shape, so that the placement surface of each support leg placement part is wide and close to a circle, and the support leg placement part is strengthened. Therefore, the support leg placement part can be provided in a narrow space, and the storage space for stored items can be expanded. Therefore, while stabilizing the stacking form of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1, the effective inner dimension of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 and the capacity of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 can be expanded.
[0028] The above describes an embodiment of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 according to the present invention, but the foamed synthetic resin tray according to the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above and can be embodied in various forms.
[0029] For example, in the above embodiment, the support legs and support leg rests are provided on the short side of the foamed synthetic resin tray, but they may be provided on the long side or on both sides. The number of support legs and support leg rests is not limited to the number in the embodiments. However, from the viewpoint of stability in the stacking configuration, it is preferable that two or more support legs and support leg rests are formed on the side wall or flange on the short side of the foamed synthetic resin tray, that is, a total of four or more support legs and support leg rests are formed.
[0030] In addition, in the above embodiment, the bottom wall component that serves as the placement area for the stored items is shown as being approximately flat, but it may also be formed with partitions or unevenness to prevent the stored items from sliding sideways.
[0031] In the above embodiment, the number of protrusions provided on the side walls for reinforcement is changed to provide a mark for checking the orientation of the foamed synthetic resin trays when stacked, but for example, the color scheme on one side in the longitudinal width direction of the foamed synthetic resin tray 1 may be made different from the color scheme on the other side to make it easier to recognize the stacking and nesting forms of the foamed synthetic resin trays 1. When the foamed synthetic resin trays 1 in the stacking or nesting form are viewed in plan, the outer edge of the upper foamed synthetic resin tray 1 and the outer edge of the lower foamed synthetic resin tray 1 may be positioned at different positions. [Industrial Applicability]
[0032] The foamed synthetic resin tray of the present invention can be stacked stably, and therefore can be suitably used as a foamed synthetic resin tray for storing delicate items such as food products. [Explanation of symbols]
